Merry Christmas to All

I plan to write a new post in a few days. For now, I will just leave an open thread.

I hope everyone has happy holidays of whatever type you celebrate. This is a good time to be with family and friends.

About Gail Tverberg

My name is Gail Tverberg. I am an actuary interested in finite world issues - oil depletion, natural gas depletion, water shortages, and climate change. Oil limits look very different from what most expect, with high prices leading to recession, and low prices leading to financial problems for oil producers and for oil exporting countries. We are really dealing with a physics problem that affects many parts of the economy at once, including wages and the financial system. I try to look at the overall problem.

Whether or not people will need to be perpetually boosting against the coronavirus and its seemingly never-ending stream of variants remains unknown, but vaccine manufacturers are already preparing for a possible need for additional boosters in the fall.

“We have to be prepared for whatever evolution gives us,” said Moderna (MRNA) CEO Stéphane Bancel.

Bancel, as well as Pfizer (PFE) CEO Albert Bourla, spoke to Yahoo Finance during the annual JPMorgan Health Care conference Monday.

    https://finance.yahoo.com/news/pfizer-moderna-focus-on-fall-2022-vaccine-plans-220304748.html

“We need to see if we will need it, and we need to see what place it can take in the overall fight against the virus,” Bourla added.

Pfizer is in the lead with doses available for younger age groups, as well as a fully approved vaccine. By comparison, Moderna’s vaccine remains under emergency use authorization and the company is awaiting FDA approval as well as action on doses for younger populations.

The under age 5 population remains unvaccinated, which Bourla says he hopes will be resolved quickly — in a few weeks rather than a few months.

Both CEOs say it is unclear what the needs for boosters or variant-specific vaccines will be by the end of the year.

Bancel said he is speaking with public health leaders in the U.S., U.K., and other countries, to understand how the company should be preparing for a fall 2022 booster.

He has signed contracts for $18.5 billion in doses for 2022, an increase of $1.5 billion from late 2021, highlighting the ongoing concerns that countries’ health officials have about the pandemic and a need to have boosters handy.

Big Pharma are as busy as bees these days Herbie. By the way, a commenter named Whitehat at Market Ticker speculated on this very subject the other day:

Regarding Omicrap, my take is to look for the simplest explanation. A good actor or bad actor creating it to cause an outbreak among the tagged both fail for the same reason. The skill set required to do this would preclude persons without the intelligence to understand the severe risk. Trying to end an outbreak with a more benign version which is more contagious has never been done before and could go wrong in a severe way. The final kill shot creates a world that would be unlivable. Too much immediate death would seriously break many things that even China depends upon. What is left of us would go feral at even the hint of something like that being the possible explanation of a mass death event.

No one is playing with the most likely concept. It is my belief that big pharma is and has been for quite some time facing a breakdown in their entire model. This is due to high ticket drugs not being as easy to create and sell, a public tired of their lies, gradual societal shift towards understanding causes of disease, eventual and current governmental cutbacks in terms of reimbursement, planned for and predicted die-off of a pharma heavy demographic (we are going into a death cycle for the largest generation in a long while. Dead people don’t take drugs.), alternative health becoming larger (hello), lower rate of health cost inflation possible, recognition within the medical field itself that drugs are overused as well as improperly, so many generic options, public pressure here in America against the rip-off as opposed to the rest of the world, etc. We could go on all day, however pharma is a huge part of the economy.

Well, could the latest variant be something engineered in pharma labs to keep the wheel turning a little bit longer. The money shot for big pharma is to develop the disease and have the drug ready to sell before the news of the germ ever gets around. Planned outbreaks, why not?

It would be easy to isolate teams from each other to keep them from figuring out the plan. A team making potential variants is easy to control, simply pay them well after recruiting the right people. Releasing a new bug is very easy if one targets marginal populations.

      • The pharmaceutical industry is one of the go-to industries for recent graduates, because it has been growing so rapidly. But the industry is reaching diminishing returns. It cannot keep growing, and logically, it should start shrinking as a percentage of GDP, as the world needs to move back to essential goods and services, such as food, water, and a little transportation. It is hard to see Fauci in a position of power a year from now.

It is incredible that we did not even know that this was there – a Roman town that functioned for 800 years upon an Iron Age settlement. Population growth in Britain really took off during and after the Roman occupation, with the new technologies and social forms. The archeologists found coins dating to the time of the Council of Nicaea and the Christianisation of Rome.

    > ‘Significant’ remains of Roman town found in Northamptonshire field

Archaeologists have discovered a wealthy Roman trading town along the HS2 [new train] route below the surface of a field in Northamptonshire.

A team of around 80 archaeologists spent 12 months excavating the ancient settlement near the village of Chipping Warden, where they dug up more than 30 roundhouses, a 10-metre wide road, and domestic and industrial buildings.

Experts believe it was first established in 400 BC and continued to grow in the Roman era in the years 300 to 400 AD. The site, known as Blackgrounds after the black soil found there, has been called “one of the most impressive” discoveries by experts.

During the Roman era, new stone buildings and roads emerged in the town as it developed from an Iron Age village. Experts also believe they discovered signs of domestic and industrial activities – in one part of the site, the earth was bright red, suggesting the area was used for activities involving burning, such as bread-making, foundries for metalwork, or a kiln.

Experts also found key indicators of wealth and commerce in the town as they unearthed more than 300 Roman coins which displayed Constantine the First, some weighing scales and a brooch.

Other discoveries included Roman Samian pottery from Southern Faul in France, glass vessels dating back to the second or third century, and even traces of the mineral galena – a substance that was crushed and mixed with oil to be used as make-up.

Archaeologists also uncovered evidence of workshops and well-preserved wells. Half a set of shackles was also discovered, suggesting criminal activity or slave labour in the area.

Mike Court, lead archaeologist for HS2, added: “The opportunity to carefully examine a site such as Blackgrounds, and map out a long history of the site, brought to life through artefacts, building remains and roads, has enabled us to provide a more in-depth understanding of what life was like in rural south Northamptonshire in the Iron and Roman Age.”

A Badger digging by a cave found a hoard of Roman coins…some from the Roman mint among various cities of the whole Roman Empire in Northern Spain!!!

On the floor of the cave… in the sand likely dug up by badger at the entrance to its sett, we found the coins with more inside,” the archaeologists wrote after finding 209 coins dating back to between the 3rd and the 5th century AD.

Most of these late Roman era coins “originate from the north and eastern Mediterranean” from Antioch, Constantinople, Thessaloniki which later passed through Rome and Arles and Lyon in southern France, although at least one coin came from London, they wrote. The researchers told El Pais the one minted in London was one of the most well preserved coins and is “bronze, weighing between eight and 10 grams, with an approximate 4% silver.”
The researchers said the coins had likely been moved there in the “context of political instability” linked in particular to the invasion of the Suebians, a Germanic people, who pushed into the northwestern part of the Iberian peninsula in the 5th century.

This may be ‘the end’ for Boris and the Tories. Their administration has been an absolute avalanche of sleaze, corruption and lies during the covid lockdowns, with billions illegally dished out, without proper tendering, to their mates and neighbours for often dodgy PPE gear. It has been a very deep low for British ‘democracy’ with the Tories continuing to ride high in the polls.

What has really ‘thrown’ Brits now is that Boris and his gf and 40 work mates met up in the no. 10 back garden for a ‘bring a bottle’ booze up during the first and hardest lock down, when only 2 could meet outdoors by law, and family members died alone in hospitals. A minister went on TV to urge Brits to all stay indoors an hour before he went to Boris’ party. MPs have broken down in tears in the parliament.

Bereaved MPs weep as they demand answers on ‘Partygate’: Former Attorney General blasts ‘serial liar’ Boris as he DUCKS emotional Commons showdown after bombshell email about Downing St ‘BYOB’ bash during May 2020 lockdown

Mr Johnson was accused of going into ‘hiding’ after sending a junior minister to field an urgent question in the Commons this afternoon, rather than facing a grilling himself. In highly-charged scenes, MPs including the DUP’s Jim Shannon and Labour’s Afzal Khan spoke emotionally about their own bereavements during the pandemic and demanded clarity on what had happened in No10.

Boris Johnson was condemned for ducking an emotional showdown in the Commons today following the emergence of the message from his principal private secretary Martin Reynolds urging aides to ‘make the most of the lovely weather’ on May 20, 2020. At the time, only two people were allowed to socialise outside while at least two metres apart under England’s Covid curbs.

The total corruption of the British police has also come into the spotlight, after their refusals to investigate criminality by government ministers, even though they had abundant first hand evidence – they were actually present at the scene and they filmed the proceedings on cctv.

The message has gone out loud and clear that there is no rule of law in Britain – there is one law for the masses and no law for the powerful.

It was revealed last year that the ‘Queen’ has illegally altered legislation for decades to suit her private interests, and that Charles has illegally sold citizenship and titles for money – there is no sign of any rule of law in this country, and no sign that any will be restored.

      https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2022/jan/11/met-police-no-10-lockdown-parties

      > Met police accused over failure to investigate No 10 lockdown parties

The Metropolitan police have been accused of “deferring to the powerful” by not investigating Downing Street parties held in apparent breach of lockdown rules.

The force on Monday said it was in touch with the Cabinet Office in light of “widespread reporting relating to alleged breaches of the Health Protection Regulations at Downing Street on 20 May 2020”.

The statement came after the leak of an email from one of the prime minister’s top officials inviting more than 100 Downing Street staff to a “bring your own booze” party during the first coronavirus lockdown.

One senior police source with close knowledge of the regulations said the May 2020 gathering in the garden of No 10 organised by the prime minister’s aide was a clear breach of the regulations in force at the time. “A booze-up in the garden is not in keeping with the regulations,” they said.

The Met is also facing court action to try to force it to justify its failure to act. The Good Law Project said it had started legal proceedings over the Met’s refusal to investigate reports of a Downing Street party on 18 December 2020.

The campaign group said that in letters between it and the Met, police said they had “relied on the government’s assurances that no rules had been broken” and “there would have been no point in interviewing Number 10 staff about the parties because they would have refused to answer questions that exposed them to a risk of prosecution”.

Jolyon Maugham, the director of the Good Law Project, said: “You can have the rule of law, or you can defer to the powerful. But you can’t have both. Cressida Dick’s cat will know that multiple criminal offences were committed. It shames the Met, and ultimately all of us, that she refuses to investigate.”

The Met faces further questions about whether its officers knew of the May 2020 gathering as it took place and potentially could have taken action then.

The Green party peer Lady Jones said the invitation to the May 2020 garden party, sent by Johnson’s top aide, Martin Reynolds, was troubling. “This garden party raises big questions for the Met police, as their officers must surely have monitored this gathering via their security cameras and been aware of the rules in place at the time,” she said.

“The police are losing public trust with their attitude that there are lots of rules for us and no rules for Conservative ministers. Did Martin Reynolds consult with Met police officers about the Covid restrictions, or inform them of the event?”

      • Perhaps people’s expectations have been too high, for quite a while. The media cannot be counted on to report what really happens. They tend to tell what the powers that be want told.

SF continues to surge in the polls in the south of Ireland, but it has some way to go yet before the February 2025 general election. It has risen to its highest ever level of support by a country mile but a further 2% swing is needed before it would poll as the overall preferred coalition leader, which is not really that much and well within the sort of gains that it is making. The housing problems in Ireland are a big seller for SF. SF is overwhelmingly popular among the younger, but it is also surging among the middle classes, older voters, and throughout the 26 counties.

Boris’ Tories are on the ropes again today, after it was revealed last night that he, his wife and 40 mates met in the no. 10 back garden for a booze up, while the country was in the first and hardest lockdown, only two persons were allowed to meet outdoors by law, and family members died alone in hospitals. The UK polls are well within the fairly wide ‘window’ in which Labour would need SNP support to form a government, which would likely entail Indyref2 – but, perhaps ironically, a plummeting Tory popularity could jeopardise that.

A recent survey in NI revealed that the DUP remains collapsed in the polls, and that unionist voters are majorly disinclined to rally back to it in order to prevent a SF first minister in NI. The 2022 elections could signal a historic shift away from the DUP among unionists, as well as a dramatic shift away from unionist pre-eminence in NI. DUP has made complete fools of themselves, forcing the NI Protocol, then dumping Arlene as leader, and then ‘Potty’ Poots for Jeff D who has made the NIP his supposed ‘mission’. ‘I am gonna stop it now, I am gonna stop it!’

Sinn Féin leader Mary Lou McDonald is marginally the more popular party leader with a score of 4.1 out of 10, followed by Fianna Fáil leader Micheál Martin (3.9) and Fine Gael leader Leo Varadkar (3.8). The chief medical officer, Dr Tony Holohan, scores 5.5 out of 10.

However, the poll finds the current FF/FG/Greens coalition (38pc) to be a preferred government ahead of a Sinn Féin-led government (34pc) including smaller parties, identified as the Greens, Labour, Social Democrats, and others on the left.

Housing (44pc) remains the single most important issue for the public ahead of healthcare (33pc), cost of living (28pc), Covid (27pc) and climate change (15pc).

And Sinn Féin’s high-profile housing spokesman, Eoin Ó Broin (44pc) emerges as the preferred housing minister ahead of current Housing Minister Darragh O’Brien (33pc) with a substantial 23pc unsure in a straight choice between the two.

    https://thesenecaeffect.blogspot.com/2022/01/how-to-keep-gasoline-prices-low-by.html

    • Ugo Bardi has some very interesting insights in this article. You have to read the whole article to understand what it is all about. Indirectly, it is about what happens when there isn’t enough fuel to go around. In the period before WW2, the fuel with inadequate supply was coal; this time it is natural gas. This is an excerpt:

Just like Britain did in 1936 to Italy [with coal supply], Russia appears to have reduced the supply of gas to Europe. In both cases, the result was/is a crisis in the economy of the consumers. Just as it happened in the late 1930s, the stronger ally is coming to the rescue: in 1936, Germany started supplying coal to Italy by rail, now the US is sending cryogenic [LNG] gas to Europe — both are expensive methods of transportations, but allow the supplier to access a market that would have been barren, were it not for political reason. But becoming the customers of a militarily powerful country has political costs.

The correspondence is so good that the current situation could easily develop into a similar outcome as in 1941, with Europe doing something completely idiotic: attacking Russia, hoping in the support of the powerful US ally. (also, traditionally, attacking Russia is done in Winter: what could go wrong?).

    • So this fellow’s report to Inspector General is dated 13 AUG 2021 – 5 months ago

Only coming out now via Project Veritas means that the Inspector General is also involved in cover up this information for 5 mos – a time period when could have been used to prevent unecessary/criminal vaccination of young adults & children.

Report points out that awareness of inadequacy & dangers of single epitope (spike protien) vaccines against multiswarm virus. Includes conclusions (understood by Researchers & Fauci) that only possible way of overcoming “accidentally” released virus is via therapeutics such as Ivermectin, Hydroxycloroquine & Interferon

Virus released was a intermediate stage in the production/development of a attenuated vaccine that was to be targeted at bats using bioengineering of a human virus as a starting point – got away from them before conversion from unattenuated human cell culture & humanized mice serial passage lines to its intended attenuated bat specific form. Was engineered to be chimeric & resistant to single epitope vaccination.

Sounds like Harvard2BigHouse & his father were pretty close to spot on with their deductions as to the origin of COV-SARS2

  10. Michael Le Merchant says:

Professor Ehud Qimron: “Ministry of Health, it’s time to admit failure”

Professor Ehud Qimron, head of the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at Tel Aviv University and one of the leading Israeli immunologists, has written an open letter sharply criticizing the Israeli – and indeed global – management of the coronavirus pandemic.
    https://swprs.org/professor-ehud-qimron-ministry-of-health-its-time-to-admit-failure/

    • Student says:

Very interesting. It could be applied to Italy too.
The only good point is that I do think Israel could be able to admit their mistakes alone.
Here we need someone else saying that.

    • hillcountry says:

Thanks Michael – that is a bombshell read. I’m sending that out to my list. It’s the best articulated quick read I’ve seen. Who needs arcane “virus”/”no virus”, PCR yada-yada, mind-numbing statistics, variant obfuscation, etcetera; when a full-on verbal assault with moral authority is what’s needed to wake people up. Kudos to Professor Qimron

      • Fast Eddy says:

Nobody will wake up. In fact they will squeal like pigs at the suggestion that it’s time to give up…

We can’t give up — that will result in tens of millions of deaths… don’t you see … the vaccines are not perfect but they are all that is between us and the apocalypse of death (and ventilators)…

We must stay the course… I do not agree with anything they are saying… more boosters.. MORE boosters…more BOOSTERS

        right norm

The thing the prof does not understand is that there have been no mistakes… this is a plan. So nobody is going to admit mistake and end this

    • Thanks for the link to a very good article.

This is a link to the reported cases for Israel that I printed out today. It shows graphically what is going wrong.

      https://ourfiniteworld.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Israel-COVID-Cases-through-January-10-2022-1024×594.png

      • Fast Eddy says:

hahahahahaahaha… a thing of beauty and wonder!

What we need those is all those jabbed infectees… to breed that deadly mutant…

We need it… or else … Ripping Faces.

        The thing is…

The CEP could fail… we may not get the mutant we seek — before BAU Blows (shudder)

  11. Michael Le Merchant says:

PROFESSOR BRENDAN WREN: When this pandemic ends, the dodgy data and flawed forecasts of the doom-mongers may emerge as the greatest scandal of all
    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/article-10388489/PROF-BRENDAN-WREN-looks-dodgy-data-flawed-forecasts-doom-mongers.html

    • Except that forecasts can be whatever the forecaster decides it should be. This is how we have such ridiculous climate change forecasts, assuming that far more fossil fuel can be extracted than is really the case.

      • Xabier says:

The forecasters in the UK admitted recently to providing extreme worse-case scenarios, and suggesting measures accordingly, as politicians required ‘actionable’ forecasts.

Forecasts which envisaged less extreme virulence, spread and potential deaths were not desired, as being non-‘actionable’.

So much for ‘independent’ advisory groups of scientific experts…….

        • Consultants know what their clients want. Even “independent” advisors know that if their reports are going to be read, they need to be tailored for what the users would like to hear. (I worked in consulting, so I know how the system works.) There is a range of possible future outcomes; by selecting assumptions appropriately (or inappropriately), there is a wide range in the expected outcome.

      • Sam says:

Just talked to a Republican friend of mine…He told me that the U.S has 200 years of oil left….Biden just needs get out of the way….

  12. Michael Le Merchant says:

Omicron Makes Biden’s Vaccine Mandates Obsolete

There is no evidence so far that vaccines are reducing infections from the fast-spreading variant.

By Luc Montagnier and Jed Rubenfeld
    https://www.wsj.com/articles/omicron-makes-bidens-vaccine-mandates-obsolete-covid-healthcare-osha-evidence-supreme-court-11641760009

    • Thanks for the link. It is good for someone with some credibility to write this in a widely read paper. According to the article:

As the World Health Organization puts it, “if mandatory vaccination is considered necessary to interrupt transmission chains and prevent harm to others, there should be sufficient evidence that the vaccine is efficacious in preventing serious infection and/or transmission.” For Omicron, there is as yet no such evidence.

The little data we have suggest the opposite. One preprint study found that after 30 days the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines no longer had any statistically significant positive effect against Omicron infection, and after 90 days, their effect went negative—i.e., vaccinated people were more susceptible to Omicron infection. Confirming this negative efficacy finding, data from Denmark and the Canadian province of Ontario indicate that vaccinated people have higher rates of Omicron infection than unvaccinated people.

  13. Michael Le Merchant says:

This is Iceland, which is >90% vaxxed. Look at the boosted hospitalizations.
    https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FIzrjdyUUAExLtR?format=png&name=900×900

    • The bottom graph shows that hospitalizations of both those who are vaccinated and those who are boosted are rising, but I suspect a lot of people would look at the fact that the hospitalization rate of the unvaccinated is still a whole lot higher than those in other categories.

The top graph shows that the incidence of COVID infection seems to be highest for those who are vaccinated (without boosting). It is lowest for those who are vaccinated and boosted. The incidence of COVID-19 for adults not fully vaccinated fell below that for those vaccinated (but not boosted) on December 21, 2021. Thus, it is likely a function of the effect of Omicron.

      • Student says:

From last Italian Health System report (foot number page 23 and number 27 of the file) one can see following data:

        Go hospital -> 8.278 (not vaxed) – 8.473 (vaxed)
        Intensive care -> 1.202 (not vaxed) – 645 (vaxed)
        Deaths -> 1.170 (not vaxed) – 1.578 (vaxed)

Excluding the important factor that the official suggested medical treatment is still the terrible ‘Tachipirina and wait developments’ (which has been already judged as very negative from many scientists and doctors), what comes out is the same conclusion also made during the Congress in Rome of the 3rd and 4th of January 2022.
That is that not-vaxed people enter in a bigger number intensive care, but vaxed go to hospital and die in bigger number.
It seems that vaxed people skip intensive care (which is something expensive for health system..).
So this could be one of the various reasons why western governments ‘like’ vax.
If one then enters into details, the picture is slightly better if people follow vaccination every 4 months and reach the third jab (as requested), but we have already seen from other scientific works that the more one get a jab in a short time, the worse is for immune system.
So, maybe, if people follow gov. requests about doing all the jabs in the right time, go generally in a lower percentage in intensive care, but can probably say goodbye to his/her immune system…
(and excluding all deaths and adverse events from vax, of course)
Ancient Romans used to say that it is a typical ‘vittoria di Pirro’ which means that one wins the battle, but lose the war (please see doc. after the doc. thanks)

  14. Dennis L.’s optimism does not change the lack of resources problem.

I have heard out his innovative ideas to obtain resources, which sounds good on paper, although not in real life. So I find it not worth commenting about any more.

His argument about stock prices rising does not really attend to the issue of transportation network collapsing and supplies drying up. Stock markets in highly inflationary countries rise a lot in their own currencies, but few people want stocks in such countries which buy little.

People with such attitude are like those who watch a big wave thinking it won’t affect them and are swept away. Such attitude is good when there are more resources available but not in this kind of environment.

    • Dennis L. says:

Not arguing, a quote from Ray Dalio’s latest book, Ray’s net worth about $20B, points on the board:

“…We are doing this through the development of artificial intelligence which is an alternative way of thinking via an alternative brain that can make discoveries and processed them into instructions of what should be done. Humanity is essentially creating an alternative species that has enormous capacity to see past patterns….” You get the idea, quote page 31, “The Changing World Order.”

So Ray has been correct 20B times, what is the batting average of the doomers here?

It is a small group, maybe we aren’t in it? Could our approach be incorrect?

      Dennis L.

      • Xabier says:

Well, I know people who have made lots of money, vast piles of it, but their general views, prognostications, etc, are of no more worth than those of others.

In fact, they often get the bigger things very wrong indeed. In fact they often don’t quite understand wider aspects of their own businesses.

So, to me only his reasoning is of interest, and whether his premises are sound, not his $20 billion.

What they seem to want is a ‘God-Mind’ to tell them what to do: rather pathetic, isn’t it?

Our existing minds are already marvellous tools, which we mostly don’t use.

        • Dennis L. says:

          Xabier,

Perhaps a different viewpoint. Some here have speculated we life in a simulation; could AI be a key which allows into that simulation? If so, can we change the rules and make everything work?

I have no idea, Dalio is fairly well respected and his latest book is a good read, rich in hx, not unlike JMG in some respects.

          Dennis L.

          • Xabier says:

In theory AI should be exciting, I agree, but in practice it’s like the story of the monkey with a knife: ‘Don’t worry, as long as its not a human we’re OK….’

      • Fast Eddy says:

So he has 20B and that makes him smarter than everyone on OFW?

how you do condemn anyone perceived as ”less than yourself” eddy

as i keep pointing out, every comment you make is a page in your book of life, falling open for everyone to read.

no wonder ofw is your only audience

    • Kowalainen says:

“no wonder ofw is your only audience”

      Is there another one? Realistically.

      🤔

    • Fast Eddy says:

Fast Eddy doesn’t condemn anyone … it’s not like HE condemns sinners to Hell … (but HE could)…

But HE does disparage them… ridicules them… toys with them…. because they are MOREONS…

Because MOREONS (and CovIDIOTS) are trash… im be ciles…

Fast Eddy’s dogs are also im be ciles… but HE treats them with kindness … because they know their place… MOREONS are usually uppity … and if nobody smacks them… they get increasingly uppity to the point of being intolerable…

And there are so many MOREONS…. that if they all get uppity … we’ll have a problem…

Meanwhile … I called another chopper company — they have a vax policy but said if we take the entire chopper the management might overlook it… it depends on the risks… I was like – oh the risks — what are the risks??? (prepping my – you know vaxxed and unvaxxed are equally risk – and there is no covid here so that risk is 0)… but she said she doesn’t want to get into that hahahaha…

The real risk here is that Fast Eddy — the Most Important Entity in the Universe – is considering getting into a contraption that will fly hundreds of metres off the ground — with a pilot who has been injected with an experiment… To be honest … I have begun to have second thoughts about this idea… imagine if the pilot had a cardiac and Fast Eddy was killed …

I can see the headlines now ‘King of the World Dies in Chopper Crash – OFW Flies Flag Half Mast – VIP Rooms Declare Bankruptcy’

      • surely eddy—with your omnipresent grasp of the workings of the universe and all that is contained therein, I would have thought that the death of pilot/co pilot (and the resulting dash of screaming stewardess down the aisle to reach your seat) would present little difficulty to yourself, in bringing said aircraft to a safe landing.

Followed of course by a modest dismissal of any thanks or gratitude by passengers or the airline.

My only confusion is why you would actually need an aircraft to fly aywhere, given your undoubted skilled at writing in caps in pronouncement of remedies to alleviate the suffering of humankind in general.

Surelly, bearing covid in mind, it would be safer to change in a phonebox, and take flight that way.

oops–i forgot. They took away all your phoneboxes

        damn conspiracists are everywhere

  16. Fast Eddy says:

    Boom

Life insurance death claims shoot 41%, up 3.5x in 2021

Oh; you’re trying some master suppression “technique”. I.e. guilt by association.

I’m sure you know better than that blatant foolishness.

        • Bobby says:

Yes and shameful indeed. Viral load is dangerous and can overcome the natural immune system. That’s why social distancing is important. Getting STRESSED, Running around in public screaming at others about their life choices was the likely cause of demise. A regulated immune system is helpful, not invincible. Taking prophylactics to assist the immune system is helpful not a cure..The thymus still needs to do ALL the work to produce effective antibodies and maintain them. It takes time ENERGY, Resources and REST for the immune system to build them .. She should not have been running around exposing herself in a dangerous environment..be wise you can’t afford to be a hero or save the world during what is increasing looking like, and sad to contemplate the reality of this, a planned cull. The
Cull if true itself is likely a response to energy depletion on a global level

          • Fast Eddy says:

Illogical thinking is a great struggle for me … but let me try…

yes – social distancing is important because the covid virus does not spread through the air… that’s why we also need to wear bandanas over our faces because the virus can pass through the fabric.

See – I can be a MOREON TOO!

It’s kinda fun being a MOREON… you just have to practice turning off your brain (which saves energy) and spew whatever nonsense is conjured up without any filtering … then you convince yourself that you have made a great insight …

            • Bobby says:

We all have our limits. Mr Ed seems to forget the bit where she died of Covid. Tarnished with the need for self confirmation bias.

me thinks Mr Ed has nothing to fear from covid

    • Xabier says:

So will the vaxx-injured end up with no life or medical insurance, unable to sue the drug companies, and relying on compensation from govt vaxx injury schemes that never pay out much, if anything? Looks like it.

Oh, and told by the docs it’s just nerves’ or something, no you can’t have an exemption, and hurry up to get the next shot or become a non-citizen……

  18. Fast Eddy says:

Funny — never happened in Sweden .. and they didnt lock down https://www.ctvnews.ca/health/paramedic-services-maxed-out-as-omicron-spreads-1.5735045

Doesnt happen in Africa .. either… don’t think it even happens in Canada

    • Fast Eddy says:

A third Chinese city has locked down its residents because of a COVID-19 outbreak, raising the number confined to their homes in China to about 20 million people.

It wasn’t clear how long the lockdown of Anyang, home to 5.5 million people, would last. Mass testing was being enforced, standard procedure whenever outbreaks pop up around the country.

Another 13 million people are locked down in the city of Xi’an and 1.1 million in Yuzhou, with restrictions imposed on the port city of Tianjin, only about an hour from Beijing, which is to host the Winter Olympics from Feb. 4.

A games official responsible for disease control, Huang Chun, said organizers are counting on the cooperation of athletes and officials to prevent an outbreak that could affect participation.

      https://globalnews.ca/news/8502573/china-covid-cities-lockdown/

      hahahahahaa

    • Oddys says:

Meh – I live in Sweden and we just got a new set of restrictions yesterday because the healthcare system is slowly breaking down under its NORMAL burden. Not very many covid patients at all, but severe staffing shortages and close to two years with emergency admin of a healthcare system that has been systematically drained for more than 20 years.

      • Kowalainen says:

Wow; I guess mandating vaxxing among females in the health care would cause some of the more observant and risk averse smart ass hottie broads to call it quits.

My theory is that they might want to have offspring with no defects. The Neurosedyne/Thalidomide scandal of the 60’s spring to mind.

Say 20% of the staff call it quits because of this. The rest starting to feel the long-term effects of the vax and we got a “situation”/predicament unfolding.

The triage will be quite rough I suspect. If you’re vaxxed and sick. Well then:

        GLHF SUCKER!

Which suck donkey balls because most of us got people close that fell into the evolutionary trap.

Yet we are free to choose and should therefore accept the outcome. Nothing further need to be said.

        It is what it is.

        🤔

        • Oddys says:

It’s a mixed bag and I have no numbers, just anecdotes, hunches and various observations. There seem to be several confluent trends at work.

Several elder and experienced nurses (remembering the Thalidomide indeed) have started to retire a couple of years early, and in addition NOT coming back for part-time work after retirement as they used to do.

Many of the younger nurses are breaking down more often and get absent for months. Wether it is the “vaccine” or increased workload or both I dont know, but those who are left will of course have more to do.

The third reason is simple demography and it has been fully known for at least 20 years. Demography is a slow moving thing readily available to robust prognoses, and the working part of the population is decreasing while the retired class is both increasing in numbers and requires a higher standard of living than anytime before in history. This demographic gap was the explicit reason for former Prime Minister Göran Persson to encourage immigration in all forms and all goverments after his have stuck to the same recipe.

All in all its a perfect storm and “the pandemic” has been a perfect excuse for various short term quick fixes to keep the system running one more day at the time, and now it appears as the system can not work at all without all those emergency measures.

          • Kowalainen says:

I guess a lot of “pregnancies” among the sharper and younger females started to happen when the vaxxing decrees took shape.

Older nurses and doctors could simply call it quits since they in all likelihood isn’t that burdened by debt and there’s a lot of other career opportunities in the private sector.

Left is the middle aged, wretched, single mothers and associated over-indebted cretins.

Yeah, and it’s likely that most of the nurses is “vaxed” on paper only. Just squirt the poison straight into the trashcan and call it “vaccinated”.

            • Actually, in the US, the fact that payments on student loans were put off helped the finances of quite a few somewhat older women (later 20s or in their thirties, finished with university or graduate school). Some of these women had babies at the end of 2021 or are having them in 2022. I don’t know how much of a difference this will make.

            • Fast Eddy says:

Good point… you dump mine in the bin … I dump yours… and we are all good!

      • Mike Roberts says:

According to this site, there has been a 39% increase in hospitalisations in a week, in Sweden, though ICU cases are down 6% over the same period. But there were over 113,000 cases last week so an increase in hospitalisations over the next week or two seems very possible.

    • Perhaps the problem is related to an inadequate number of hospital beds, or an inadequate number of spaces in emergency rooms, so paramedics operating ambulances are stuck waiting with patients for hours.

      • Adam says:

This exact situation happens here in NS, Canada. The paramedics sometimes wait for hours to pass off their patient. It’s been a news story off and on for many years.

  19. Fast Eddy says:

I was not aware of this — apparently it is very difficult to get a quarantine room in HK … our new office manager said her brother has been trapped in Vancouver for many weeks trying to book a spot.

Meanwhile there are huge numbers of hotel rooms in the city sitting empty …

Very obviously this is intended to reduce oil burn. BAU is on ice – till the CEP finishes

        his last words:

“… there is no harm in getting vaccinated in order to fit in with the governmental views and be able to get around more easily than the unvaccinated.”

        quite ironic.

EU Parliament President has died in an Italian hospital where he had been treated since late December, his spokesman said. The official was suffering from a “serious complication” resulting from an immune system condition.

An Italian social democrat, Sassoli was hospitalized on December 26 due to serious immune system dysfunction, his office said, noting that he had ceased all “official activities” as the head of the EU Parliament during that time. The announcement came after Sassoli was treated for pneumonia at a hospital in Strasbourg, France last September. Though at the time his staff said he was in “good condition” and that he had tested negative for Covid-19, the illness nonetheless left him unable to work for some two months. Spokesman Roberto Cuillo declined to share additional details on Sassoli’s health earlier on Monday, though he did state the official would be unable to attend a plenary parliamentary session set for Strasbourg next week.

Disorders of the immune system are on the rise everywhere thanks to the global popularity of the so-called Western diet.

Autoimmune diseases including type 1 diabetes, multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis have spiked in recent decades, according to scientists James Lee and Carola Vineusa at London’s Francis Crick Institute.

Lee and Vineusa have devoted their study to investigating the cause of such illness, which they believe can be blamed on the recent pervasiveness of fast foods, which “lack certain important ingredients.”

“Numbers of autoimmune cases began to increase about 40 years ago in the West,” Lee told the Guardian’s Observer in a new interview. “However, we are now seeing some emerge in countries that never had such diseases before.”

But Mayor Lightfoot insists it’s still the fault of either the police or the merchants being robbed blind. Just the other week, the mayor told everyone that stores ought to be hiring outside security to deter the brazen flash mob robberies:‍

“Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot has accused stores of not taking adequate measures to prevent themselves from being victims of crime.”

“During a crime summit on Monday at the University of Illinois in Chicago, Lightfoot said she was disappointed with stores on Michigan Avenue, a popular shopping and tourist destination. She said they were not making security a priority and taking adequate measures to prevent theft.”‍

Well, we guess Lightfoot told them. Next up, the mayor will be telling carjacked citizens they deserved to lose their car for driving when poor ghetto youths wander around on foot, and rape victims were “asking for it” by dressing in such a provocative manner. It couldn’t possibly be the fault of “progressive” mopes in government.

And lest you think Lightfoot is anything but a hypocrite, when Chicagoans take up her advice, Ms. Mayor gets offended:‍

“Mayor Lori Lightfoot Wednesday spoke out against a plan by Bucktown neighbors to hire a private security firm to patrol part of the North Side neighborhood. According to emails sent by leaders of the Bucktown Neighbors Association, which is organizing the program, private armed security guards are expected to begin patrolling a section of Bucktown Wednesday.”

“The group is working with P4, a private security firm with offices Downtown and in suburban Downers Grove, to deploy off-duty police officers to the neighborhood in response to a surge in carjackings and other crime.”‍

Didn’t Lightfoot just tell businesses (the same ones that are abandoning Chicago at a still-record pace) that they should hire security in the face of new-record crime numbers? What are citizens supposed to do in the face of declining police resources? Form vigilante committees? Actually, that’s a pretty good idea….excuse us while we go copyright it

Comparing these rates with those of senior medical staff and people with PhDs and the contrast is absolute. Since the number of hospitalized cases of COVID-19 have not been published in clinical trial documents, the vaccine’s ability to prevent hospitalizations from COVID-19 is unclear.6 See Table 1. Regarding deaths, the FDA states, “A larger number of individuals at high risk of COVID-19 and higher attack rates would be needed to confirm efficacy of the vaccine against mortality.”8

Of note, a study of a COVID-19 outbreak in July 2021 published in Eurosurveillance observed that 100% of severe, critical, and fatal cases of COVID-19 occurred in vaccinated individuals.9 A Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) study of another COVID-19 outbreak in July 2021 observed similar data and found that 80% of hospitalized cases were fully vaccinated.10

“Van Bavel,” the AP writes, “said he had never encountered the phrase ‘mass formation psychosis’ in his years of research, nor could he find it in any peer-reviewed literature.” Why did the AP ask Van Bavel to speak on a subject that he didn’t even know existed?

What a hollow academic babel we have advising us. Van Babel suits better, or ‘Van Drivel’

      ba·bel also Ba·bel (băb′əl, bā′bəl)
      n.
      1. A confusion of sounds or voices: passengers chattering in a babel of tongues at the international airport.
      2. A scene or situation of confusion: “a babel of commemorative ceremonies, statues, and tombs sponsored by competing cults of martyred revolutionaries” (Thomas L. Benjamin).

    • MM says:

This is a paradox: A person in mass formation psychosis can not analyze his condition.
I admit that the term could not be very academic but the content hits the nail.

      • Xabier says:

        Old problem:

Column: Mocking anti-vaxxers’ deaths is ghoulish, yes — but necessary

Among all the ways that COVID-19 affects our lives, the pandemic confronts us with a profound moral dilemma:

How should we react to the deaths of the unvaccinated?

On the one hand, a hallmark of civilized thought is the sense that every life is precious.

On the other, those who have deliberately flouted sober medical advice by refusing a vaccine known to reduce the risk of serious disease from the virus, including the risk to others, and end up in the hospital or the grave can be viewed as receiving their just deserts.

Tim Groves, in response to your post on US government. The US government has always been controlled by money. But it was American money and one could see how it served American rich. Now the money is from parties hostile to America with the goal of destroying America. They are making good progress on their agenda. Of course peak everything helps them get what they want.

  38. Herbie Ficklestein says:

Thousands turned out in the Czech capital of Prague on Sunday for protests against the government’s vaccine mandate, The Associated Press reported.

Many demonstrators who gathered at Wenceslas Square chanted, “Freedom,” challenged the effectiveness of the COVID-19 vaccines in general and rejected the idea of vaccinated children, according to the AP.

The large demonstration followed several smaller ones in cities across the Czech Republic on Saturday.

The previous Czech government announced vaccine mandates in December for those 60 and older as well as for health care workers and first responders.

The protesters want Prime Minister Petr Fiala’s administration to overturn the order before it goes into effect. The new government has already indicated its opposition to the mandate for older residents, but where it stands on the other groups is unclear, according the AP.

Countries across the world are currently dealing with a winter surge of COVID-19 infections driven largely by the omicron variant, which is far more infectious but appears to be less severe than previous strains.

Some 6.7 million people in the Czech Republic are fully vaccinated against the virus – about 62 percent of the eligible population – and 2.8 million have received their booster shots.

  40. Fast Eddy says:

Rich elderly man with lots of life insurance (millions) for his family’s benefit dies from covid jab (not disputed by the doctors, nor his life insurers). Insurance company refused to pay out because the taking of experimental drugs, treatments, etc., is excluded from the policy. The family take the insurance company to court, but lose.

The judge states, “the experimental vaccine side effects are publicised and the deceased could not claim not to have known about them when he voluntarily took the jab. There is no law or mandate in France which forced him to be jabbed. Therefore, his death is essentially suicide”.

Suicide is also excluded from his policy. If anyone ever challenges you on whether these jabs are experimental or not, and that neither the pharma companies, nor govts, nor anyone else but YOU are responsible for accepting them and if you die, legally you have committed suicide. No insurance, no payouts, no refunds. You are on your own!

Warren Buffet said his insurance company will never pay out for an atomic war. I wonder if he will pay out for these experimental medical procedures if they kill a life insurance holder?

    • MM says:

Do you get the implications ?
legally spoken, you commit suicide if you take the vaccine.
Well, I doubt that I can explain that to someone who dunnit.
That will probably be very difficult to dispute in a sort of nuremberg trial…

      • Fast Eddy says:

I will get an update on my mate’s situation in HK … he’s a lawyer and he’s expecting that the insurer will have something in the policy that allows them to just arbitrarily terminate a policy…

Which would be rather mind blowing….

        Consider

        1. You’ve paid a policy from say age 35…. you turn 68 … and they say sorry but we’re terminating your policy — we don’t think you have many years left and we’ve done the numbers… best to take our winnings and walk away.

        2. You have private health + life with the same company — you contract a chronic disease that is likely to be fatal … the health division makes the life division aware of this … and the life division cancels your policy…

Gail – perhaps you have some insights into what is going on here…

In the case of my mate — his policies are with different entities… one is a company private health policy paid by his employer – the other is a personal life policy — would the life insurer be aware of the claims for heart damage made with the health insurer?

    • T.Y. says:

Unfortunately i could not find proof of the supporting case decision underlying this article. Would be much appreciated if someone does find it and posts it here.

      • MM says:

First I must say that the article for my level of french does not really spell out this “judgement”. Second I contacted the law firm allegedly having done this law suit and there was no reply.

I begin to question, if there is a new weapon in the information war taking shape.
First an unreliable source discredits the messenger (Eddy) or the entire message against the vaccination programme.
Second it scares the shit out of vaxxed and solidifies the unvaxxed, so more confusion and division
Third you can no longer believe in anything so you simply will give up on wanting to know.

All of these suit the military units erforcing this Info war.

      • Fast Eddy says:

Just off with my life insurance underwriter… asking if they get info from my private health provider (had same discussion with private health)… (two different companies)…

And asked if they have any fine print loopholes that allow them to not pay a life claim…

I would not be surprised if they were to have something about ‘experimental treatments causing death’ in the fine print … and as we know the covid jabs are emergency use therefore experimental and they are optional … (you have the option to have no life and lose your job if you don’t want to be part of the experiment… so legally — nobody is forced hahahahaha… it’s all about the fine print ain’t it!)

The other consideration is that the life policy holders are no doubt bleeding red ink with claims up 200-300%… so they may invoke these clauses when they normally might not when faced with insolvency…

norm… see how helpful Fast Eddy is… HE is at ZERO risk of death from the Experiment … so this is moot — yet HE is doing the hard lifting for you and the CovIDIOTS…

Because Fast Eddy has a streak of altruism…. HE is willing to dedicate a sliver of time to help those who are unable to help themselves… who don’t have the HP to recognize the risks they are taking by injecting an Experiment…

That said… I’d recommend you have a similar conversation with your life insurance underwriter… someone may be counting on that pay out when the Boosters finally kick in and terminate you.

    • Xabier says:

An unsound judgement, as the fatal side-effects are being very effectively covered up by Big Pharma and the health bureaucrats.

Therefore it could be argued that the deceased could have had no idea as to the true magnitude of the risk he was actually taking – like all the people I see lining up at the pop-up vaxx centres.

      • MM says:

        You are absolutely right!
As I said, deaths were showing up right after the beginning of the campaign and no efforts what so ever have been put in place by the very people that we pay for and are in charge that bad things should not happen.
I mean, if I go to the bakery and buy bread, I must somewhat be relying on the bet that I will not get rat poison.
The REAL problem is that the numbers are creeping out of every hole and they still try to cover it up.
That can not end well…. I hope for us humans that there will be some sort of a good outcome from it but it will be a very hard process for all of humanity. I bet that Klausi did not plan it like that. As we were informed, he is still trying his shot on the narrative. Make the world great again.
        We will see…

        • Xabier says:

Exactly: see Bourla quoted below on the poor ‘safety profile’ of his product

Now, imagine if a baker said that his loaves certainly killed a % of customers, but, ah, the aroma, the crust, the texture!

A vaccine is unique, in that it must kill no more than 1 in a million at worst, being destined for billions of arms.

Unlike a ‘last-ditch’ drug, used when all others have failed (with consent of the patient) in which case greater lethality is tolerable.

      • Fast Eddy says:

I am on the attack with my insurer… just for the fun of it … because I am not injected so it is not relevant…

But enquiring minds want to know….

Plus it gives life meaning to torment corporate bureaucrats … and of course if they tell me that there are fine print opt out clauses… I will dump that into the www and it will go viral.

He responds in fluent english, answers the question in full, i’m sure shockingly so for the journalist—i don’t think the american reporters have ever had such a clear on point response—a complete history lesson in a sentence. our press are accustomed to smoke & mirrors. rybakov is like staring into a gun & realizing it is loaded. imo lavrov chose him precisely b/c of this

    “Never, Ever”
    The redline profoundly stated.
“Ukraine and Georgia will never, ever join NATO.”
“Deadly wrong to use the Bucharest Memorandum.”
How glowing hot the red line is spoken of, that it is white hot!

Before his “never, ever” redline, he said that “military” methods would have to be used against NATO and US “weapons systems”, methods which would “damage” US and European security.

    • https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.php/en/news-page/world/us-russia-meeting-in-geneva-did-not-go-well-state-department-admits-they-told-russia-nuclear-war-must-be-avoided

The Russian representative declared that Russia had repeated to the Americans that it had “no intention of attacking Ukraine”, this hypothesis having been conveyed by the United States and in the media in recent months due to troop movements. He warned, however, that Washington should not underestimate the risk of a confrontation.

According to Sergei Ryabkov, the United States takes Russian demands “very seriously”. Notably the end of NATO enlargement towards eastern Europe. Russia was satisfied with the seriousness with which the Americans had received, during talks on Monday, Russian demands to guarantee its security in the face of NATO. Riabkov judged after the Geneva talks that the “situation was not hopeless.”

Without progress on the subject of non-expansion of NATO and non-deployment of missiles near the Russian Federation, discussions with the United States on other aspects of security guarantees risk being compromised, said Ryabkov. “We have made it clear that without progress on these three key issues (NATO enlargement, non-deployment of missiles, material development of the territories of the states which have joined the NATO) discussions on other aspects will be compromised” he declared.

However, US diplomat Wendy Sherman said Washington had warned Moscow that NATO’s “open door” policy will continue.

Russia has not responded to the US demand for de-escalation on the Ukrainian border during Monday’s talks in Geneva, the US Deputy Secretary of State said. She explained to journalists that Moscow could initiate this de-escalation by “sending back to their barracks the soldiers” amassed at the border in recent weeks.

Asked to say whether her Russian counterpart Sergei Riabkov had given pledges in this direction, she replied: “I don’t think we know the answer to that.”

US State Department also said: We issued warnings to Moscow about Ukraine during the Geneva talks, and we also stressed with Russia the need to prevent a nuclear war, and there will be no victor if it occurs.

Federal agencies prepare to act against unvaccinated employees

(The Hill) – Federal government agencies are preparing to take increasingly harsh steps against unvaccinated employees in order to implement President Biden’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate for federal workers.

Some agencies plan to send letters warning of possible suspensions to employees who have not complied with the mandate. Many are also prepared to fire employees who don’t follow the rule, though such moves would be further down the road.

The rate of compliance is high across the federal government, and agencies say they do not expect the suspensions or firings to cause disruptions.

The White House in November told agencies to hold off on harsher penalties until after the new year and to focus on education and counseling for those who had not complied with the mandate. Now, the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) says agencies can move forward with stricter measures at their discretion.

“Agencies continue to move forward with the process, including taking progressive disciplinary measures as necessary,” an OMB spokesperson told The Hill.

The power of a quiet No.

“As a care provider for high-functioning disabled people, I workwith clients in their homes and am mostly unsupervised. One of my clients, concerned about ordinary sniffles, went to a convenience clinic for a covid test and received a “positive” result. My immediate supervisor texted me saying I needed to get tested too. I texted back a polite no. An hour later, the next-in-command texted me with the same message: I “needed” to get tested. My response was even more polite. “I’m sorry, but I’m not going to do that.” At the time, I was at the client’s house, so I asked the supervisor if I needed to leave. I was prepared to get fired. He didn’t respond, but twenty minutes later, my immediate supervisor texted me on an unrelated matter, as if nothing had happened.

Later that day, the same supervisor texted me to say she had gone to a convenience clinic to get her own test. Since she works directly with the same “positive”-tested client, she was under the same orders I was. However, when she found out the test would cost her $128, she declined. “The office can forget that,” she said.

Would she have declined if I hadn’t done so first? I don’t know. She might get tested somewhere cheaper, or find someplace where they do it for free. Or, maybe if our employer pays for it, she’ll follow orders. It’s none of my business, and I have no expectations one way or another.

This isn’t a dramatic story. That’s why I like it. The propagandists have turned words, arguments, and logic itself against us. The more we talk, the crazier we sound to the average, law-abiding New Normal citizen. However, a polite and unemotional “no” quietly subverts the propaganda-fueled notion that covid dissidents are raving lunatics. Maybe the quiet “no” is even more powerful now, as this nonsense enters its third year. Even the most ardent true believers seem weary of a narrative that’s drifted so far from observable reality and common sense.”

    • Xabier says:

Like the consultant who on a televised visit demolished the logic behind the vax mandate for NHS workers in front of the health minister the other day: quiet, polite and firm in his exposition.

Interestingly, he is now being subjected to character assassination, but all they have on him is that he is interested in ‘wellness’ theories of health, so it is implied he is a crackpot, and that his ‘mentality’ is questionable in a doctor!

      • JMS says:

If the doctor is interested in wellness and health, of course he is not a good doctor. A legitimate, duly approved and certified doctor is someone primarily concerned with disease & drugs. Otherwise, we are dealing with a healer.

  44. Michael Le Merchant says:

Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla on Monday said that his company is aiming to have a vaccine that targets the omicron variant as well as other COVID-19 variants ready in March. “This vaccine will be ready in March,” Bourla said in an appearance on CNBC’s “Squawk Box.” “We [are] already starting manufacturing some of these quantities at risk,” he added.

    • Xabier says:

Watch the last part of Bourla’s interview with Lex Fridman to see him work up fake indignation at the thought of all the people killed by ‘quack’ Covid remedies, as if he cared.

      • Artleads says:

Not with that dead look in his eyes.

        • Wet My Beak says:

The dead look in his eyes is because he has no soul. The Guf is empty for pharmaceutical executives.

          • Xabier says:

Bourla comes from Greek Sephardis, most of which community were wiped out by the Germans during their occupation of Greece in WW2.

There is no little irony in his leading involvement of this current population-modification and adjustment plan.

    • March sounds pretty late!

  45. JMS says:

In Portugal at least, everything serves to multiply the “cases”.

“The [portuguese] Ministry of Health’s registry of covid patients includes many hundreds of hospitalizations for falls, trips, slips, and bruises from objects. These patients entered the covid-19 database because they tested positive on hospital admission. Página Um had access to clinical information on covid patients through May of last year, and counted more than 1,200 cases of hospitalizations under these circumstances. Of these people, 266 died, many within a very short period of time. But all were counted by the government as victims of the pandemic.”
