COVID-19 Vaccines Don’t Really Work as Hoped

Last week, the CDC announced a surprising finding: “Delta infection resulted in similarly high SARS-CoV-2 viral loads in vaccinated and unvaccinated people.” Public officials had known from the early days of vaccine development that vaccinated people could catch COVID-19, but the assumption had been made that they were not going to be spreaders of COVID-19.

It turns out that the delta variant is sufficiently different from the original Wuhan version of the virus that the vaccines work much less well. The CDC performed an analysis of COVID-19 cases arising from one public gathering in Massachusetts. They found that the gathering led to 469 COVID-19 Delta cases among Massachusetts residents, with 74% of these cases in fully vaccinated attendees. Massachusetts is a highly vaccinated state, with approximately 64% of the population fully vaccinated.

There are other issues coming up as well. How long does the vaccine really last? Is the vaccine itself part of the reason that the virus is mutating as rapidly as it is? Are we making problems for ourselves by creating an army of people with very light cases of COVID-19 who can spread the virus to both the vaccinated and the unvaccinated without realizing that they have more than a cold? Aren’t we inadvertently killing off the least able of the virus mutations and allowing the most virulent to multiply?

My training is as an actuary, so I am familiar with modeling. I am also a “systems thinker.” I know that it is important to look at longer term impacts as well as short-term impacts. If a person works in the healthcare field, it is easy to consider only the obvious short-term benefits. It takes some analysis to figure out that today’s vaccines may lead to stronger variants (such as Delta) and more overall spread of COVID-19.

In this post, I will explain some of the issues involved.

[1] Today’s vaccines provide only a fraction of the true level of protection required. Their actions are in many ways similar to applying weed killer at half the strength needed to kill the weeds or providing antibiotics at half the dose required to stop the spread of bacteria.

All of our lives, we have been told, “Be sure to complete the full course of the antibiotics. It is necessary to kill all of the bacteria. Otherwise, it will be easier for a few of the stronger bacteria not to be affected. If you stop too early, the bacteria that are least affected by the antibiotic will survive and reproduce, while the others will die. Stopping the drug too soon is a great way to achieve antibiotic resistance, quickly.”

Unfortunately, COVID-19 vaccine makers seem to have overlooked this issue. The respected BMJ published an editorial entitled, Will covid-19 vaccines save lives? Current trials aren’t designed to tell us. It makes the point:

Peter Hotez, dean of the National School of Tropical Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, said, “Ideally, you want an antiviral vaccine to do two things . . . first, reduce the likelihood you will get severely ill and go to the hospital, and two, prevent infection and therefore interrupt disease transmission.”

Yet the current phase III trials are not actually set up to prove either.

We were told that the new COVID-19 vaccines are “95% effective in preventing symptomatic disease,” but it turns out that this is far less adequate than what most people would assume. The vaccine is “leaky.” A big issue is that the virus mutates, and the vaccine works much less well against the mutations. The world can never reach herd immunity if immunized people keep catching new variants of COVID-19 and keep passing them on, as the evidence now suggests.

[2] In a way, getting sick from a virus is helpful. It tells us to stay at home, away from others. It is the fact that humans experience symptoms from viruses that tends to limit their spread.

If a virus has severe symptoms, those infected with the virus will not feel well enough to continue their usual activities. They will tend to stay at home.

If the symptoms are mild, as is the case with the common cold, people will likely go about their activities as usual. This is especially the case if people need to work to feed their families. Thus, viruses with mild symptoms often spread easily.

But, if citizens feel that they are protected by a vaccine, they will likely continue to go about their activities as usual. Most of them will not realize that they might be spreaders of Delta, and perhaps other new COVID-19 variants. Symptoms are likely to be mild or non-existent.

[3] It is becoming clear that people immunized with today’s vaccines can both catch the delta variant and spread it to others.

As I mentioned above, the CDC concluded from looking at its analysis of 469 delta cases that the infection resulted in similarly high SARS-CoV-2 viral loads in vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals.

We have independent corroboration of the ability of vaccinated individuals to spread delta COVID-19 in a new analysis from Singapore. This article reports, “PCR cycle threshold (Ct) values were similar between both vaccinated and unvaccinated groups at diagnosis.” This is precisely the information that the CDC was relying on in Massachusetts when they reported that there were similarly high SARS-CoV-2 viral loads in vaccinated and unvaccinated people. While this analysis has not yet been peer reviewed, it reaches precisely the same conclusion with respect to early viral load as the Massachusetts analysis.

The data from this same Singapore study indicates that there are about 3 times as many asymptomatic cases in the vaccinated (28.2%) as the unvaccinated (9.2%). The median number of symptoms reported by the vaccinated was 1, compared to 2 in the unvaccinated. Among the vaccinated, the most frequent symptoms were fever (40.9%), runny nose (38%) and cough (38%). One of these symptoms, especially if it occurred only briefly, could easily be overlooked as a sign of COVID-19.

[4] With nearly all of the current vaccines, the immune system is trained to look for the spike protein from the original Wuhan virus. This narrow focus makes it relatively easy for the virus to mutate in ways that outsmart the vaccine.

A “History of Vaccines” website indicates that there are several ways vaccines are being made, including weakened (“attenuated”) viruses, killed viruses, and segments of the pathogen. In the new COVID-19 vaccines, a particularly limited part of the virus is used, the spike protein. In fact, in the newer vaccines, only an mRNA code is injected, and the body is instructed to make the spike protein itself.

Using a very narrow target has made it easier for viruses to evade the effects of the vaccine. Delta is one variant of the original virus from Wuhan that is evading vaccines through its mutations. Another such variant is Lambda, which caused serious problems in Chile in the spring of 2021, despite vaccine usage as high as 60%. The virus underlying all of these variants is called SARS-CoV-2, reflecting the fact that this virus is closely related to the virus which caused the 2003 SARS epidemic.

Since vaccination began about December 15, 2020, we have so far encountered two variants that are poorly controlled by vaccines. This is not a promising sign for the long-term success of COVID-19 vaccines. As more time goes on, we can expect more such variants. These variants do not necessarily stay around for more than a few months, making it difficult to create and distribute new specially targeted vaccines.

[5] Given the likelihood of mutations away from the narrow target, it seems strange that the governments have set very high expectations for the new vaccines.

It seems to me that Pfizer and Moderna should have said, “We are producing new vaccines that will somewhat lessen symptoms. In a way, they will be like the annual influenza vaccines that various companies make each year. We will need to update the vaccines regularly, but we will likely miss. Hopefully, our guess regarding what will work will be ‘close enough,’ so the vaccine will provide some partial benefit for the upcoming variations.”

Such a statement would have provided a more realistic set of expectations, compared to what many people have been assuming. No one would expect that herd immunity would ever be reached. The vaccines would be perceived as fairly weak tools that need to be used alongside medications, if they are to be used at all.

[6] Leaky vaccines, if widely used, can encourage the virus to mutate toward more virulent (severe) forms. Ultimately, the problem becomes viruses that mutate to more virulent forms faster than the vaccine system can keep up.

If, as we are seeing today, vaccinated people can catch the variant and pass it on to both vaccinated and unvaccinated people, this extra boost can help the variant tremendously in its ability to spread. This extra boost is especially helpful for the variants that are very virulent, since in the normal situation, people who catch a virulent variant would recognize that they are sick and stay at home.

There would normally be a limit on how much the variant could spread based on its impact on the unvaccinated. This limit goes away if both the vaccinated and unvaccinated can catch and spread the illness. Without a vaccine, the variants might be either more or less virulent, with the more virulent tending to die out because the people who get them either die or stay at home because they are very ill. I would expect that this is the reason why quite a few viruses tend to become less severe (virulent) over time, when leaky vaccines are not available to artificially boost their virulence.

The article, Vaccines are Pushing Pathogens to Evolve, gives the example of how the vaccines for Marek’s disease in chickens have been failing, as the disease gradually evolves to become more virulent under pressure from the vaccines being used to keep this illness away. The first vaccine was introduced in 1970. A decade later, outbreaks of Marek’s disease began to be found in vaccinated flocks. A second vaccine was licensed in 1983, but it too began to fail. When the article was written in 2018 the industry was on its third vaccine, but it too was beginning to fail, as the disease became more deadly. But there was no new vaccine yet available.

A 2015 article in PLOS Biology is entitled, Imperfect Vaccination Can Enhance the Transmission of Highly Virulent Pathogens. A person would think everyone involved in vaccine technology would be very much aware of this issue.

The chase after new vaccines is precisely the problem we can expect to have with the vaccines for COVID-19. Only, our problem with the vaccine not really working correctly is coming after a few months, not 10 years. Trying to keep up with new vaccines for a virus that evolves away from us, this quickly, is likely to be an impossible task. It is not just the unvaccinated who have a problem; it is everyone, as the vaccines quickly lose their effectiveness.

[7] Another potential problem with COVID-19 vaccines is Antibody Dependent Enhancement (ADE). When this occurs, it worsens later infections by different variants.

ADE is a rather strange condition in which the antibodies against one variant gained from a first infection (or immunization) act to make some later infections by a different variant worse, rather than better. Dengue Fever is an example of an illness for which this is an issue.

Dr. Robert Malone thinks that ADE may be happening now for COVID-19. He sees the high virus levels in immunized individuals as evidence of possible ADE.

The large number of immunized patients in the hospital with COVID-19 in Israel (which has mostly Delta cases) is also given as possible evidence:

Figure 1. Image from Israel’s official COVID-19 website, showing new hospitalizations and new severe patients separately for fully vaccinated, partially vaccinated, and unvaccinated individuals.

The illness SARS is closely related to COVID-19. There is evidence that vaccinations against SARS tend to produce ADE. In fact, the National Institute of Health provided funding for a 2020 academic paper that reaches the following conclusion:

The specific and significant COVID-19 risk of ADE should have been and should be prominently and independently disclosed to research subjects currently in vaccine trials, as well as those being recruited for trials and future patients after vaccine approval, in order to meet the medical ethics standards for informed consent.

[8] Another problem with the current vaccines against COVID-19 is that immunity may not last very long.

The virus that causes COVID-19 is a coronavirus. The common cold is another illness caused by a coronavirus. We know the immunity of the common cold doesn’t last very long, perhaps a year. While we don’t have long-term experience with COVID-19 vaccine immunity, we shouldn’t be surprised if its immunity begins to wane within a few months, or in a year or two.

Israel, after analyzing its recent COVID-19 experience (almost all with the Delta variant), is now offering anyone over 60 who was vaccinated more than 5 months ago a booster shot. Third doses are also being given to those with weakened immune systems.

It should be noted that if immunity doesn’t last very long, any strategy of “flattening the curve” by stretching out COVID-19 cases becomes counterproductive because it runs the risk of moving the timeframe of the next cycle beyond the time when natural (and vaccine-induced) immunity is still operative.

[9] The public has been led to believe that vaccines are the only solution to COVID-19 when, in fact, they are at best a very poor and temporary band-aid.

Vaccines are a tempting solution because the benefits have been oversold and no one has explained how poorly today’s leaky vaccines really work.

We are already past the period when these vaccines were well matched with the viruses they were aimed at. Now we are in a situation in which the viruses are constantly mutating, and the vaccines need to be updated. The catch is that the variants stick around for such a short time period that by the time the vaccine is updated, there is likely to be yet another new variant that the new vaccine does not really match up with well.

Requirements that employees be vaccinated against COVID-19 cannot be expected to provide much benefit to employers because workers will still be out sick with COVID-19. This happens because they are likely to catch a variant such as Delta, which does not line up with the original vaccine. Perhaps they will be out for a shorter period, and their hospital bills will be lower. These types of benefits are what people have expected of influenza vaccines. There is no reason for them to expect more of the new COVID-19 vaccines.

Even with 100% vaccination herd immunity can never be reached because the vaccine encourages the virus to mutate into more virulent forms. Each new variant stays around for only a few months, making it hard for vaccine makers to keep up with the changing nature of the problem. Vaccine makers can expect to face a constant battle in having to run to stay even. Someone will have to convince citizens that each new vaccine makes sense, even though injuries reported to the US Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System seem to be much more frequent than those reported for vaccines for other diseases.

An erroneous, one-sided story is being told to the general public, in part because the pharmaceutical lobby is incredibly powerful. It has the support of influential people, such as Anthony Fauci and Bill Gates. The pharmaceutical industry can make billions of dollars in income from the sale of vaccines, with little in the way of sales expenses. The industry has managed to convince people that it is OK to sell these vaccines, even though injury rates are very high compared to those for vaccines in general.

Vaccines are being pushed in large part because the pharmaceutical industry needs a money maker. It also wants to be seen as having cutting-edge technology, so young people will be attracted to the field. It cannot admit to anyone that technologies from decades ago would perhaps work better to solve the COVID-19 problem.

[10] The pharmaceutical industry has been telling the world that inexpensive drugs can’t fix our problem. However, there are several low-cost drugs that appear helpful.

One drug that is being overlooked is ivermectin, which was discovered in the late 1970s. It was originally introduced as a veterinary drug to cure parasitic infections in animals. In the U. S., ivermectin has been used since 1987 for eliminating parasites such as ringworm in humans. Ivermectin seems to cure COVID-19 in humans, but it needs a higher dosage than has been previously approved. Also, it would not be a money maker for the pharmaceutical industry.

The possible use of ivermectin to cure COVID-19 seems to have been intentionally hidden. At approximately 32:45 in this linked video, Dr. David Martin explains how Moderna announced ivermectin’s utility in treating SARS (which is closely related to SARS-CoV-2) in its 2016-2018 patent modification related to the SARS virus. It sounds as though Moderna (and others) have participated both in developing harmful viruses and in developing vaccines to cure very closely related viruses. They then work to prevent the sale of cheap drugs that might reduce their sales of vaccines. This seems unconscionable.

Vitamin D, in high enough doses, taken well before exposure to the virus that causes COVID-19, seems to lead to reduced severity of the disease, and may eliminate some cases completely.

Various steroid drugs are often used in the later stages of COVID-19, when conditions warrant it. The medical community seems to have no difficulty with these.

Monoclonal antibodies are also used in the treatment of COVID-19, but they are much more expensive.

[11] Conclusion. Governments, businesses, and citizens need to understand that today’s vaccines are not really solutions to our COVID-19 problem. At the same time, they need better solutions.

Current vaccines have been badly oversold. They can be expected to make the mutation problem worse, and they don’t stop the spread of variants. Instead, we need to start quickly to make ivermectin and other inexpensive drugs available through healthcare systems. People do need some sort of solution to the problem of COVID-19 illnesses; it just turns out that the current vaccines work so poorly that they probably should not be part of the solution.

The whole idea of vaccine passports is absurd. Even with the vaccine, people will catch the new COVID-19 variants, and they will pass them on to others. Perhaps they may get lighter symptoms, so that they will be off work for a shorter length of time, but there still will be disruption. If those who catch COVID-19 can instead take ivermectin at a high enough dose at the first sign of illness, many (or most) of them can get well in a few days and avoid hospitalization completely. Other medications may be helpful as well.

I am skeptical that masks can do any good with the high level of transmission of Delta. But at least masks aren’t very harmful. We probably need to go along with what is requested by officials.

It is becoming clear that today’s pharmaceutical industry is far too powerful. Investigations need to be made into the large number of allegations against it and its leaders. Why did members of the pharmaceutical industry find it necessary to patent viruses, and then later sell vaccines for a virus closely related to the viruses it had patented?

Why Are So Many Vaccinated People Getting Sick?

This is all over so-called vaccines that are really experimental gene modification treatments with dangerous side effects and limited efficacy since many vaccinated individuals are now being infected again. The vaccines won’t stop you from getting the virus or from spreading it.

In one Massachusetts town, for example, 74% of new cases have already been vaccinated. Data from overseas is even more revealing since many countries report new cases daily, which doesn’t allow for the type of data manipulation U.S. health agencies often engage in.

In Israel, about 85% of adults over 30 are fully vaccinated. Over 90% of those above 60 are fully vaccinated. But Israel is experiencing a dramatic rise in new cases. The number of serious cases has increased about 10 times since the beginning of July. Importantly, the vast majority are vaccinated.

The data reveal that rates of severe cases among the vaccinated are currently as high as the unvaccinated’s rate just two weeks ago.

Oh I see… that’s why Israeli is boosting

Over the weekend a second provincial capital has fallen to the Taliban, this time in the north of Afghanistan, just days after the southern Nimruz province which borders Iran fell reportedly with barely any resistance from US-trained Afghan national forces.

On Saturday Sheberghan, the capital of Jowzjan province, was captured at a moment the US State Department has sounded the alarm for any American citizens still remaining in the country, with just a little over a month to go until Biden’s Sept.11 complete troop exit deadline. The US embassy in Kabul had urged Americans to leave the war-torn country “immediately” while noting they can’t rely on government flights.

A US Embassy security alert on Saturday stated that “Given the security conditions and reduced staffing, the Embassy’s ability to assist U.S. citizens in Afghanistan is extremely limited even within Kabul.”

At the moment southern Helmand province is also under threat of imminent fall the Taliban, who are gaining momentum also through increasing capture of military bases and equipment, including US Humvees and weaponry – which the Islamist militants have been parading of late.

The Wall Street Journal summarizes the significance of this latest provincial capital to fall to the Taliban advance as follows:

“The fall of the city of Sheberghan is particularly important because Jowzjan has long been the traditional stronghold of ethnic Uzbek warlord Abdul Rashid Dostum, one of the country’s main anti-Taliban leaders who served as Afghanistan’s vice president until last year.”

This is a great way to save oil … however it might make life a bit difficult for the people….

      > Taliban captures its SIXTH city in less than a week as military pilots quit after being targeted for assassination, leaving Afghan troops without vital air support

Aibak, the capital of Samangan province, fell to the jihadist group on Monday morning which tweeted that all government and police outposts had been ‘cleared’. Sefatullah Samangani, deputy governor of the province, also confirmed that the Taliban are now in ‘full control’ of the city – coming just a day after they captured Kunduz, Sar-e-Pul and Taloqan.

Meanwhile it was revealed that pilots are deserting Afghan forces after being targeted for assassinations, leaving government troops largely without air support that will be key to winning the battle against the Taliban. The Afghan air force had been hit particularly hard by US and NATO withdrawal, as an army of contractors who had maintained aircraft and helicopters used by government forces quit the country with them.

Around a third of the military’s planes known to be out of action due to damage or a lack of spare parts, with morale among pilots running low due to non-stop sorties and supply missions they are forced to fly. Morale then took a further beating due to the assassinations, with pilots seemingly unprotected even in the country’s heavily-defended capital.

But Taliban commanders are quietly confident that the the US with eventually withdraw its air support. ‘These airstrikes … will not last much longer,’ one commander told The Times.

Ben Wallace, UK defence secretary, has said he wanted British forces to stay in the country and prop up government troops – leading an effort to rally like-minded NATO nations to join the effort. But not a single country in the 30-member alliance was willing to make a commitment, leaving him with little choice but to join the retreat.

I don’t think most of us take “occasional trips to Japan”. Even pre-covid, only a small percentage of people (6%?) took flights in a given year.

        • Kowalainen says:

I don’t haul my self-entitled princess ass around in a SAAB, that is for sure. Furthermore I got no offspring as to “offset” my impact. Let’s make a small off-the-cuff estimation.

Say that SAAB of yours weighs in at circa 2 tons. Assume a 10x ratio in fossil fuel burn and materials for manufacturing it.

That’s then about 20.000kg of fossil fuels for getting the metal out of the earth, bending it and casting it into a various bits and pieces. Now suppose you whip out some 10.000km’s every year and that car is, say 40 years old. Assume it consumes some 1kg fossil fuels per 10km’s In summary.

2.000kg*10 + (10.000*40)/10 ~ 60.000kg of fossil fuels and raw materials just for that car for fourty years. Low estimate.

Now, a trip to Japan consumes about 3.5kg’s per 100 passenger km’s with the usual A300.The distance to Japan is about 8000 km’s.

          Some quick calculations yield.

(8000/100)*3.5 = 80kg of fuel burn to haul my ass over there.

Now pretty please, do the comparison with your SAAB alone. Just sayin’.

To further put things into perspective. I sure hope you don’t got children? If you do, read the following:

          And watch this:

Let’s be realistic and compute the raw figures. I’m quite certain you and the usual OFW suspect whip out in excess of x100 of my footprint in the lowest of low estimates and that is irrsepective of how eagerly I haul my ass between Sweden and Japan.

Hotline Lady — yes they are

FE — is it possible to skip the first two shots because they have obviously failed — and go right to the Booster?

HL — currently we are only offering the first 2.

FE — but why would you offer a treatment that has already failed elsewhere?

HL — because the Ministry has authorized only the first 2.

FE — yes of course … but why would you offer me something that has failed.

HL — it has not failed it’s 95% effective

FE —- yes i have heard that … but if it was 95% effective why the need for the booster?

HL — the booster is not available only the first two shots

FE — my mate has wrecked his heart with the first two shots — so I don’t want the first two — why bother with the risk if I know they are going to fail?

HL — we are only offering the first two shots — it’s your choice — you can decline

FE — yes of course – but why are you inviting me to sign up for injections that carry some risk – and that are useless

HL — I cannot answer these questions — I am going to put the phone down unless you have anything else

FE — yes of course you are going to put the phone down … please do.

What is amazing is that the logic involved in this is something an 8 yr old could work out …. the original covid virus no longer exists … it apparently has mutated … hence the Booster…

    Elizabeth Weise
As soon as the Food and Drug Administration issues a full approval for a COVID-19 vaccine, there will be “a flood” of vaccine mandates at businesses and schools across the nation, Dr. Anthony Fauci told USA TODAY’s Editorial Board on Friday.

Mandates aren’t going to happen at the federal level, but vaccine approval will embolden many groups, he predicted.

“Organizations, enterprises, universities, colleges that have been reluctant to mandate at the local level will feel much more confident,” he said.

“They can say: ‘If you want to come to this college or this university, you’ve got to get vaccinated. If you want to work in this plant, you have to get vaccinated. If you want to work in this enterprise, you’ve got to get vaccinated. If you want to work in this hospital, you’ve got to get vaccinated.'”

160 San Francisco Sheriffs’ Deputies Threaten To Resign Due To Mandatory COVID-19 Vaccine

“A number of San Francisco deputies will seek employment elsewhere or opt for early retirement if they are required to take the COVID-19 vaccine under a new imposed vaccine mandate, warned the city’s sheriff’s union on Friday.

“San Francisco officials recently announced that all city employees will have to be vaccinated or face possible termination.

“There are about 35,000 city employees. Religious exemptions or medical reasons may let some bypass the mandate, but those who refuse the shot and have no exemption will encounter consequences that could result in termination, reported the San Francisco Chronicle.

“The San Francisco Deputy Sheriffs’ Association published a statement on Facebook, saying they always supported safety measures against the virus but the issue at hand is that about 160 of their Sheriffs don’t want to take the vaccine due to their beliefs.

“The problem we are faced with now is the strict San Francisco Mandate which is vaccinate or be terminated. If deputy sheriffs are forced to vaccinate a percentage of them will retire early or seek employment elsewhere,” reads the statement.

“The Sheriff’s Association notes that 160 of their 700 deputies are unwilling to take the vaccine, and that they can’t afford to lose them since they already have the lowest-ever staffing due to applicant testing restrictions imposed by the mayor.”

I heard the San Francisco Fire Department is also indicating a number of their personnel will be leaving their jobs over mandatory “vaccinations.”

Staffing shortages are going to be a real issue across all industries that go in for mandatory “vaccination.”
What are the asshats in charge going to do when “essential” workers start walking off the job in droves? Will they be able to retain enough police, firefighters, plumbers, electricians, hospital workers, teachers, etc. to keep their techno-dystopia functioning?

  22. Hideaway says:

Reading a lot of the posts on blogs all over the net, it appears the real plan is working.

A pandemic and the responses to it, that is just a symptom of the real problems of diminishing marginal returns on everything has totally distracted those giving warnings of the real problems of infinite growth on a finite planet.

Not only has it taken the view away from real problems, or should I say predicaments, but it also successfully marginalises web sites like this into the ‘silly conspi.racy theory’ space, instead of informed debate of real predicaments.

Even some of the most vocal posters with every conspi.racy theory presented ad nauseum might be deliberate plants to discredit real information being disseminated, and realistic discussion on important topics.

Look around the web at how sites that were once good sources of information have now been marginalised by being defunded for giving false health information, instead of concentrating on what they were once good at.

The main ‘game’ is still limits to growth, yet how easily most are misled by concentrating on the sideshow of one symptom, allowing themselves to be marginalised as cranks, instead of maintaining the original important message of which there is no realistic counter argument.

    • Kowalainen says:

The message is serious however wrapped in ridicule, absurdity and hysterical realism. Don’t be so serious. Life is too short.

Of course the “plan” is working.

What did you expect? They have been told what to do for all their lives and just want to return to BAU. That’s the promise of the vax.

What’s the use for useful consumerists when everything cheap and nasty has been consumed? Do you think they will start to meditate on the subtler details of existence and their karma overnight? That kind of stuff takes a lifetime, perhaps a few even.

Look, if every schmuck on this planet want to consume like the average Joe in the US… Now, let’s be realistic. You’re likely part of the problem.

As for me, I got no stake in the matter except for my aging parents and my own life. Truth be told; I’m not sure I could bury them so I guess it’s for the best if we all kick the bucket at the same time.

CTG, I’ve been a ‘regular’ here for the last decade, just don’t post very much. Before then a regular on The Oil Drum, usually debating those overly optimistic about the future with some known statistics and realities.

Nearly 20 years ago on some investment forums, I was often explaning why the Western world would go zero interest rates, just like Japan over time due to diminishing returns. Of course everyone told me I was wrong.

We moved to our spot in the country well away from the cities nearly 40 years ago, as we were well aware of what was coming in the future, after both my wife and myself were tertiary students studying environmental issues (including LImits to Growth) back in the early 70’s.

It’s possible to buy another 100 years of civilization at great cost to the environment, by using known easily and cheaply accessible coal resources to build a renewable future. I say about 100 years before diminishing returns on mining really make it useless.

The co-operation level between countries with vast networks of transmission across continents, huge build out of the necessary renewables (using coal), is something that is beyond anyone’s radar, with the effort needing to start yesterday.

My preference is to coll.apse later, not sooner, but we don’t get our preferences.

With so many humans on the planet, when coll.apse comes, every tree will be cut and burnt for firewood, every other animal eaten while the human population coll.apses.

So let’s all talk about a small symptom of the larger picture, instead of where we currently are, because we are bored with the big picture.

Over the last few years Gail rightly discouraged discussion about CC on her blog. IMHO she should do the same with the distraction of Covid, so the real message continues to get out, about the state of the global civilization.

        • Fast Eddy says:

It’s possible to buy another 100 years of civilization at great cost to the environment, by using known easily and cheaply accessible coal resources to build a renewable future.

If you believe this then you are operating on very low horse power. I won’t bother to explain where you go wrong because Gail has done is a thousand times… and if you don’t get it by now … there is no getting it.

          • Hideaway says:

430 Billion tonnes of easily accessible cheap lignite in the state of Victoria alone. It probably wont be used to maintain civilization, but will be available to survivors of coll.apse.

Do your numbers on that FF energy before you say it’s not possible. It’s just over 3,000,000 TWh of primary energy to be burned, which would build a lot of renewables.

I agree it wont happen, but it is possible under a scenario that didn’t count the environment and threw ‘economics’ out the window in a mad rush to ‘save’ civilization. The energy is available..

Burning that lot in a short period would put you NZers under a 1000 ft of smog all year, every year until it was all gone.

It is only under 10-20 metres of overburden over an area of something like 12,000 sqkm, with seams up to 100m thick.

“Brown coal seams in the Latrobe Valley are up to 100 metres thick with multiple seams often giving nearly continuous thickness of up to 230 metres. Seams are typically located under only 10-20 metres of overburden.”

I don’t expect the ‘rules’ of economics and environment that apply today will be relevant 10-20 years time in a coll.apse scenario.

Meanwhile, Californians have been trolled with this narrative:

It’s so hot in Dubai that the government is artificially creating rainstorms

“With temperatures in Dubai regularly surpassing 115 degrees Fahrenheit, the government has decided to take control of the scorching weather.

“Scientists in the United Arab Emirates are making it rain — artificially — using electrical charges from drones to manipulate the weather and force rainfall across the desert nation. Meteorological officials released video footage this week showing a downpour over Ras al Khaimah, as well as several other regions.

“The new method of cloud seeding shows promise in helping to mitigate drought conditions worldwide, without as many environmental concerns as previous methods involving salt flares.

“Annually, the United Arab Emirates receives about 4 inches of rain per year. The government is hoping that regularly zapping clouds to generate rain will help to alleviate some of the arid nation’s annual heat waves.

“According to research from the University of Reading in the U.K., scientists created the storms using drones, which hit clouds with electricity, creating large raindrops. The larger raindrops are essential in the hot country, where smaller droplets often evaporate before ever hitting the ground.”

“The UAE is one of the first countries in the Gulf region to use cloud seeding technology, the National Center of Meteorology said. A version of the concept is used in at least eight states in the western U.S., according to The Scientific American.”

“A version of the concept is used in at least eight states in the western U.S., according to The Scientific American?” It would seem the current version isn’t working well enough.

      Tangentially, weather manipulation isn’t new:

“Operation Popeye (Project Controlled Weather Popeye / Motorpool / Intermediary-Compatriot) was a military cloud-seeding project carried out by the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War in 1967–1972. The highly classified program attempted to extend the monsoon season over specific areas of the Ho Chi Minh Trail, in order to disrupt North Vietnamese military supplies by softening road surfaces and causing landslides.

“The former U.S. Secretary of Defense, Robert S. McNamara, was aware that there might be objections raised by the international scientific community but said in a memo to the president that such objections had not in the past been a basis for prevention of military activities considered to be in the interests of U.S. national security.

“The chemical weather modification program was conducted from Thailand over Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam and allegedly sponsored by Secretary of State Henry Kissinger and the CIA without the authorization of then Secretary of Defense Melvin Laird who had categorically denied to Congress that a program for modification of the weather for use as a tactical weapon even existed.”

“The Environmental Modification Convention (ENMOD), formally the Convention on the Prohibition of Military or Any Other Hostile Use of Environmental Modification Techniques is an international treaty prohibiting the military or other hostile use of environmental modification techniques having widespread, long-lasting or severe effects. It opened for signature on 18 May 1977 in Geneva and entered into force on 5 October 1978.

“The Convention bans weather warfare, which is the use of weather modification techniques for the purposes of inducing damage or destruction. The Convention on Biological Diversity of 2010 would also ban some forms of weather modification or geoengineering.

“Many states do not regard this as a complete ban on the use of herbicides in warfare, such as Agent Orange, but it does require case-by-case consideration.”

From, “Moderna’s groundbreaking coronavirus vaccine was designed in just 2 days,”
by Susie Neilson, Andrew Dunn, and Aria Bendix – Dec 19, 2020

“But perhaps more remarkable is that Moderna designed its vaccine in just two days in January, before some people had even heard of the coronavirus.

“That wouldn’t have been possible without the technology Moderna has bet on since its founding: messenger RNA (mRNA) vaccines.

“Utilizing mRNA technology meant that both Pfizer and Moderna only needed the coronavirus’ genetic sequence to make a vaccine — no virus had to be cultivated in labs. That’s why the companies were able to progress in record time. By contrast, the development of more traditional vaccines can take years.

“What you could probably do is make this a whole new way of making drugs, vaccines, almost anything,” Bob Langer, one of Moderna’s founders, previously told Business Insider.

“The FDA has never approved an mRNA-based vaccine or treatment before, so to many, Moderna’s bet looked risky. But now that the FDA has given the green light to the shots, mRNA vaccines are poised to set a new industry standard.

How Moderna got ahead of the coronavirus

“On January 6, Moderna CEO Stéphane Bancel emailed Barney Graham, a vaccine researcher at the National Institutes of Health. Bancel was troubled by the mysterious virus outbreak in Wuhan. He then talked with Graham about developing a vaccine.

“Moderna had been working with the NIH on vaccines since 2017, but had not yet gotten one approved. Graham signed on to the partnership.

“On January 11, researchers from China published the genetic sequence of the coronavirus. Two days later, Moderna’s team and NIH scientists had finalized the targeted genetic sequence they would use in the vaccine.

“This is not a complicated virus,” Bancel told The New York Times.

“By February 24, Moderna had shipped its first vaccine batches to NIH scientists in Bethesda, Maryland. Researchers administered the first dose on March 16 in Seattle, Washington [Once again, we’re in Bill Gates’ territory]. That launched the first clinical trial of any coronavirus vaccine.”

    • Maybe not really such a great idea, in retrospect.

      Isn’t it exciting, citizens?!

    • 2016:
“But Moderna’s first human trials aren’t so ambitious, focusing instead on the crowded field of vaccines, where the company has only been working since 2014. First are the two vaccine trials for undisclosed infectious diseases. Coming next is a one-time treatment for heart failure, developed in partnership with AstraZeneca, followed by another experimental vaccine, for Zika virus, which several other pharma companies are also working to develop. And after that, Moderna is planning a human trial of a personalized cancer vaccine using mRNA, something it just came up with last year.”

      • Azure Kingfisher says:

“Moderna just moved its first two potential treatments — both vaccines — into human trials. In keeping with the culture of secrecy, though, executives won’t say which diseases the vaccines target, and they have not listed the studies on the public federal registry, Listing is optional for Phase 1 trials, which are meant to determine if a drug is safe, but most companies voluntarily disclose their work.

“Investors say it’ll be worth the wait when the company finally lifts the veil.

“We think that when the world does get to see Moderna, they’re going to see something far larger in its scope than anybody’s seen before,” said Peter Kolchinsky, whose RA Capital Management owns a stake in the company.”

“In nature, mRNA molecules function like recipe books, directing cellular machinery to make specific proteins. Moderna believes it can play that system to its advantage by using synthetic mRNA to compel cells to produce whichever proteins it chooses. In effect, the mRNA would turn cells into tiny drug factories.

“It’s highly risky. Big pharma companies had tried similar work and abandoned it because it’s exceedingly hard to get RNA into cells without triggering nasty side effects. But if Moderna can get it to work, the process could be used to treat scores of diseases, including cancers and rare diseases that can be death sentences for children.”

The middle class want to reach the wealthy class.
The wealthy class want to reach the the ruling class. The ruling class want to reach the gods.

There are many possible motivations for the scamdemic but perhaps here is another one:

The ruling class knows that the world is running out of affordable energy. They know we’re going back to the stone age soon. There are still so many things they’d like to accomplish before then, if possible. One, they seem intent on establishing some form of world government. Like their bloodline ancestors who ruled over various world empires throughout history, they too wish to repeat the same feat and stand atop the power pyramid that they’ve had all of us collectively building for them. Their Mount Everest is man made. Following previous civilizational collapses, they’ve attempted to rebuild, beginning with humble human and animal power, then more advanced tools and machinery, fossil fuel energy inputs, telecommunications and digital technology, and so on. They’re almost there! They’re almost ready to lay the capstone on their global empire! They wish to stand on that peak, perhaps a peak that is even higher than the ones erected by their ancestors, and take in the glorious view before everything comes crashing down.

In addition to establishing a world government (i.e. empire) they seem intent on accelerating mRNA research before the end of affordable energy. The window of opportunity for them to cure themselves of their ills and extend their lifespans is closing. So, they’ve attempted a Hail Mary with the scamdemic, thrown in massive amounts of funding and propaganda to ensure we all cooperate and help them achieve their dreams. They’ll tell us about the miracles of mRNA and how we’ll be able to cure cancers and save our own children from disease, when in reality mRNA technology will likely be priced out of range for most people and is really meant for them. They are the ones that are to become like the gods, not us. But they need all of us to sacrifice ourselves on the alter of science so that they can perfect the technology.

All our lives, we’ve been humble pyramid builders, adding our individual bricks to a structure that we’ve been mostly unaware of. We believe we’re operating out of self-interest because that’s what we’ve been taught. We are largely blind to the fact that we are builders of civilization and we are organized and directed through various means by the foremen (politicians) and architects of civilization. To own an operate a cell phone is to be a builder of civilization. To pay your taxes is to be a builder of civilization. To run a website is to be a builder of civilization. To share a Tweet is to be a builder of civilization. To take a PCR test and provide your genetic data is to be a builder of civilization. We are building the current civilization every day, brick by brick. The latest announcement from our foremen (politicians) is that the building of civilization has taken a different turn and we must all contribute to the new construction project by injecting ourselves with new technology.
I have no certain knowledge about what the blueprints of civilization look like. I’ve not knowingly met one of our civilization’s architects. All I can infer is that the architect’s plans have changed and they are attempting to dramatically shift the construction of civilization into a new direction. For those of us who are aware of this, for those of us who care, the present task seems to be determining whether we wish to continue working under our current foremen; whether we wish to continue working toward the undisclosed vision of the architects of civilization.

  27. Mirror on the wall says:

This article explains that CDC figures for ‘breakthrough’ infections only count those hospitalised or dead and that data is gathered only passively. Presumably USA will look to use boosters.

    > Scientist: Delta variant more transmissible, not more deadly

‘What we’re seeing is virus evolution 101,’ Brian Hooker, chief scientific officer of Children’s Health Defense, said. ‘Viruses like to survive, so killing the host (i.e. the human who is infected) defeats the purpose because killing the host kills the virus, too.’

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on July 27 issued an update on breakthrough infections, stating they “happen in only a small proportion of people who are fully vaccinated, even with the Delta variant.” The CDC’s statement, however, stands in contrast to what the director of Israel’s Public Health Services told viewers of the CBS program “Face the Nation” on Sunday — that 50% of new infections reported in Israel are from fully vaccinated people.

Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and chief medical advisor to President Biden, and Dr. Sharon Alroy-Preis, director of Israel’s Public Health Services, were interviewed during the program. Israel and the U.S. began administering COVID vaccines in December 2020.

During the interview, Fauci adhered to the CDC’s position — that breakthrough infections are happening only in a small proportion of fully vaccinated people — while Alroy-Preis said Israel is seeing breakthrough infections occurring in 50% of those who test positive for COVID. Despite mounting evidence COVID vaccine protection is waning over time, Fauci told “Face the Nation”: “the predominant message is that if you are vaccinated and you get a breakthrough infection… you’re much, much more protected against getting infected than an unvaccinated [person] who is completely vulnerable.”

A breakthrough case refers to a person who is diagnosed with COVID after being fully vaccinated. A person is considered fully vaccinated 14 days after receiving the second dose of either the Pfizer or Moderna COVID vaccine, or two weeks after receiving the single-dose Johnson & Johnson (J&J) vaccine. The CDC’s latest breakthrough numbers, as of July 25, show 6,587 fully vaccinated people with COVID breakthrough cases. Of those, 6,239 people were hospitalized and 1,263 people died.

In May, the CDC revised its guidance for reporting breakthrough cases, stating it would count only those cases that result in hospitalization or death. Previously, the agency had included in its breakthrough count anyone who tested positive for COVID. According to the CDC, the surveillance system for breakthrough cases is passive and relies on voluntary reporting from state health departments, which may not be complete. In addition, some breakthrough cases will not be identified due to lack of testing. This is particularly true in instances of asymptomatic or mild illness, the CDC said.

NBC News contacted health agencies in 50 states and the District of Columbia to collect information on breakthrough cases, citing a lack of comprehensive data available from the CDC. Data collected from 38 states showed more than 125,000 fully vaccinated Americans tested positive for COVID, and 1,400 died. This conflicts with the CDC’s data published July 26. Research by NBC News indicates the number who have been hospitalized or died passed 7,300 in just 30 states providing data.

The total number of breakthrough cases is likely higher than 125,683, as nine states, including Pennsylvania and Missouri, did not provide information, while 11 states did not provide death and hospitalization totals. Four states gave death and hospitalization numbers, but not total cases. In addition, vaccinated adults who had breakthrough cases but showed no symptoms could be missing from the data altogether, officials told NBC.

Delta variant more transmissible, but not more pathogenic than original strain….

    • Mirror on the wall says:

The original NBC report emphasises that the vaxed are still statistically much more protected. It would not seem to help clarity that CDC has deliberately stopped counting properly.

      > Breakthrough Covid cases: Data shows how many vaccinated Americans have tested positive

The 125,682 “breakthrough” cases in 38 states represent less than .08 percent of the 164.2 million-plus people fully vaccinated since January.

WASHINGTON — At least 125,000 fully vaccinated Americans have tested positive for Covid and 1,400 of those have died, according to data collected by NBC News.

The 125,682 “breakthrough” cases in 38 states found by NBC News represent less than .08 percent of the 164.2 million-plus people who have been fully vaccinated since January, or about one in every 1,300. The number of cases and deaths among the vaccinated is very small compared to the number among the unvaccinated. A former Biden adviser on Covid estimated that 98 to 99 percent of deaths are among the unvaccinated.

But the total number of breakthrough cases is likely higher than 125,683, since nine states, including Pennsylvania and Missouri, did not provide any information, while 11, like Covid hotspot Florida, did not provide death and hospitalization totals. Four states gave death and hospitalization numbers, but not the full tally of cases. And vaccinated adults who have breakthrough cases but show no symptoms could be missing from the data altogether, say officials.

Global problems can only be solved by global solutions.

Humanity finds itself in a paradox: Competition between sub-global actors is maximized, yet global cooperation is necessary for its survival. A key question arises: How to unify a fractured humanity in light of this paradox?

Somehow sub-global sovereignty must be subordinated to to a global government, and sub-global competition enforced by design. The surest path to this objective is via economic and monetary means.

During a global deleveraging cascade, whoever is the ultimate creditor of the worlds estimated $2.3 quadrillion of money equivalents is the ultimate holder of the entire pool of underlying biophysical assets.

Given the IMF is the global creditor of last resort and the emerging dominance of SDR’s, a global deleveraging cascade can be offset (or reset) by issuance of SDR’s by the IMF for technical ownership of the entire worlds underlying biophysical assets.

Here, private banks, and “national” central banks, would serve merely as temporary and intermediary agents for the consolidation and centralization of control of the entire world’s biophysical economy.

The next step is to bring the new global system into one-to-one correspondence with energy available with an accounting of population, entropy, ecosystem regeneration, life support systems, and socio-economic and technological complexity.

Clearly the success of such an initiative is population and economic demand scale dependent, thus the importance “Operation Pharmakon” (see two post above).

  30. Alex says:

I am certainly not a fan of injecting billions of people with experimental vaccines to protect them against Fauci’s flu. However, I have to address several points made in the article. (Sorry if any of them were already discussed in the 700+ comments.)

1.) “But, if citizens feel that they are protected by a vaccine, they will likely continue to go about their activities as usual. Most of them will not realize that they might be spreaders.”
Coughing and sneezing are the primary ways of spreading the infection because these transmit the virus in large amounts. If coughing or sneezing individuals, vaccinated or not, tried to come into contact with other people in this day and age (as it was quite normal in most parts of the world not a long time before), they would be looked at as bioterrorists.

2.) “The CDC concluded from looking at its analysis of 469 delta cases that the infection resulted in similarly high SARS-CoV-2 viral loads in vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals.”
How did they measure the viral loads?

“Real-time reverse transcription–polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) cycle threshold (Ct) values in specimens from 127 vaccinated persons with breakthrough cases were similar to those from 84 persons who were unvaccinated, not fully vaccinated, or whose vaccination status was unknown. […] Finally, Ct values obtained with SARS-CoV-2 qualitative RT-PCR diagnostic tests might provide a crude correlation to the amount of virus present in a sample and can also be affected by factors other than viral load. […] However, microbiological studies are required to confirm these findings.”

Even if we make the leap of faith that PCR test can actually quantify anything, remember that since PCR test detects fragments of viral RNA, it cannot distinguish between an active virus and debris from a virus destroyed by the immune system. Hence, the used methodology cannot distinguish between viral load and viral debris load.

3.) “We have independent corroboration of the ability of vaccinated individuals to spread delta COVID-19 in a new analysis from Singapore.”
I don’t see anything about individuals’ spreading ability in the abstract. Am I missing something?

4.) “Leaky vaccines, if widely used, can encourage the virus to mutate toward more virulent (severe) forms.”
Ah, the leaky vaccines, Marek’s disease, etc. Those would actually explain why I see all the dead bodies in the streets. After decades of injecting people with leaky flu vaccines, the flu has finally mutated into Devil Flu… Wait, it’s worse! Our imperfect immune systems are leaky too. That’s why so many diseases we came into contact with evolved into their Devil forms. And that’s why we are all dead now.

5.) “The large number of immunized patients in the hospital with COVID-19 in Israel (which has mostly delta cases) is also given as possible evidence [of ADE].”
Currently, 60% of the Israeli population is fully vaccinated. Who gets vaccinated and who doesn’t isn’t selected randomly. The old and the ill are willing to be vaccinated first. Note that according to the CDC, 85+ years old have 15-times higher chance of ending in a hospital than 18- to 29-year-olds; they also have 600-times higher chance of dying. Vaccination seems to give these people better odds.

6.) “It is becoming clear that today’s pharmaceutical industry is far too powerful.”
The pharma industry is just one tentacle of a monster. If cashing a few tens of billions of dollars for vaccines etc. was the only motivation, there’s no way they would be allowed to inflict damage worth of several orders of magnitude bigger.

    • Fast Eddy says:

Note the ‘mass’ and in ‘the midst of a pandemic’… then wait a little longer for the bodies… they are coming. The boosters are rolling out fast… we should get to the nitty gritty before the end of the year.

Mass infection prevention and mass vaccination with leaky Covid-19 vaccines in the midst of the pandemic can only breed highly infectious variants.

    • Tim Groves says:

After decades of injecting people with leaky flu vaccines, the flu has finally mutated into Devil Flu…

Alex, I think there are some significant differences between the case of flu vaxes and the case of the Covid ones.

One of the biggies is that even these days only between 40 and 50% of Americans get the flu vax—and it was far fewer in the past. Another is that flu is not usually pandemic. The last flu pandemic was in 1968 when Duncan was groovin’ at Woodstock and there was little or nothing in the way of vaccination against it. I’ve found that during the second year of the pandemic, Merck manufactured 9 million doses against the Hong Kong Flu within four months, but I don’t think the authorities tried to get a jab in every arm.

You may have a point all the same. But GVB makes the point that trying to jab a large part of the population with a non-sterilizing vaccine during a pandemic is what creates the conditions for a more virulent virus to evolve. To get people dropping like flies in the street, you need to do those three things simultaneously—allegedly—and it’s never been done before .

      • Fast Eddy says:

If at first you don’t succeed… try a Booster.

Montagnier says this has never been done before … because it is ‘unthinkable’…. so let’s assume that this has never been done before because it’s suicidal.

  31. voza0db says:

today’s vaccines are not really solutions to our COVID-19 problem

The only problem we have is a PCR kit one. “COVID-19” is simply a PCR kit label used since 2020 to replace cold, flu and pneumonia.

But, do keep pretending that it’s some new “disease”!

    • Tim Groves says:

As I said earlier, Covid-19 is a cold. I would say it’s a cold by definition. But it can be a very serious one. It seems that somebody has messed with a cold virus in a lab and produced something novel out of it. So from that perspective it IS some new “disease”. But from the perspective that it is a respiratory disease caused by a coronavirus with similar symptoms in most cases of symptomatic infection to what are commonly called “colds”, Covid-19 is a cold.

“COVID-19” is simply a PCR kit label used since 2020 to replace cold, flu and pneumonia.

This idea has the merit of fitting in with what we have seen going on in many places.Colds, flu and pneumonia have to an extent been rebranded is Covid-19. It’s another case of, “We’re an empire now; we create our own reality.” If that same “we” were to declare tomorrow the Covid-19 was just a cold, albeit a very band cold for some sufferers, and the media were to run with that, within a couple of weeks at the outset, the average “normie” would buy into the revised narrative without a second thought.

Of course, the above line of reasoning could be wrong. It has been suggested that Covid-19 could be caused by something other than a virus. How would we go about showing that this is the case? We have plenty of evidence that something has been killing lots of people and landing many more in hospital. We have evidence that it can spread from person to person—although often it doesn’t. If the disease isn’t caused by a virus, how do we account for its mode of infecting people and making them ill?

      • geno mir says:

Covid 19 is a viral vasculitis. The anatomic substrate of the disease is mashed endothelial tissue.

      • voza0db says:

“We have plenty of evidence that something has been killing lots of people and landing many more in hospital. We have evidence that it can spread from person to person”… Do we?

        • Tim Groves says:

At least, I thought we did. But now you’re going to enlighten me about how little of that evidence is valid.

          • voza0db says:

To a MMS like you no amount of evidence matters… If you believe a PCR kit sticker is proof of an infection/disease you’re good to go!

      • JMS says:

“We have plenty of evidence that something has been killing lots of people and landing many more in hospital.”

That’s probably right, Tim, at least if we assume that the death numbers provided by the governments are not falsified (as everything that comes from governments always, and even more so in this covid era).

But even then the excess mortality in 2020 is not very significative (In Europe it varies between -4% in Iceland, 1.5% in Sweden and + 14% in Poland), and can be perfectly explained by the unsanitary measures decreed by the governments, which resulted in such favorable scenarios for illness and death as: lack of sun and air and vitamin D, lack of physical activity, stress, depression, suicides and, last but not least especially late diagnosis or treatment due to suspension of medical appointments or fear of going to hospital.
If we add to this some bad practices in the ICU (ventilators!) and the criminal refusal to medicate the “infected” with ivermectin, HCQ, etc., it is not difficult to reach the +10% mortality that was neccessary to justify the WHO label of “pandemic” and to induce in the masses the desired fear and conditioning.

        • Fast Eddy says:

Let’s not forget that drug they gave to disease bags in the old aged homes murdering big numbers…

Who knows what else they have done?

From their perspective…we’ll all be dead soon anyway

        • Tim Groves says:

Yes. Yes. I know that compared to an average year, mortality is not greatly up. In Japan last year it actually went down. And I know a lot of what has been reported as Covid-19 death was really something else. Lockdownitis, ventilatoritis, terrifiitis and abandonitis (in which sick people who could have recovered with proper treatment are scared to death or neglected to death), plus plain old bog standard flu and pneumonia and TB, and even the odd heart attack and road accident victim.

But we have our Yorkshire taxi driver and I have several first person accounts of the disease from people I know who’ve experienced it and nurses I know personally who’ve treated it, and they are adamant that it is not the same conventional old cold or flu we are used to. There is a definite newness about the experience of coming down with the novel coronavirus.

It is hard to establish facts when so many of our trusted sources are lying to us. But there is plenty of evidence in the form of frontline doctor testimonies and suffering patient testimonies. I won’t say it proves anything. But it is compelling evidence all the same.

          • Yorchichan says:

Me too, Tim. I’ve spoken to literally dozens of nurses who’ve worked on covid wards plus lots of people who are adamant they’ve had “it”. All tell me how horrific the disease is.

As I wrote five or six days ago, my son tested positive. As of now he has had a hacking cough for over a week. I felt a little unwell last week, but mostly fatigue and dizziness. Slight sore throat but no coughing. I still trained outside every day, only without the more strenuous exercises. Yesterday I tried to work but after one job I called it a day because my brain fog was so bad I was afraid I would have an accident. I’ve never had to stop work for this reason before.

            So who knows?

          • Kowalainen says:

Anyway, I guess today is about time to crank the pedals and dish some oh noes upon my slightly genetically modified rapacious primate organism.

          • JMS says:

My network of contacts is small, since i live in a village and i’m not very sociable, but my experience is very different from yours. I don’t know anyone who has been sick with covid, and only know one person (obese woman ~60 years old) who “died from” that.

My experience proves nothing, of course. But the opinion of medical personnel doesn’t prove anything either, since they are trained to see only what Bigpharma taught them to see. Anyway, if covid disease is new and not just flu in disguise, it is certainly not viral, as viruses (according to Lanka, Cowan, et allia) do not cause disease.
But it could be caused by radiation or a parasite, what do I know? The fact is that it’s almost impossible to see what’s going on in the midst of so much propagandistic smoke.

            • Fast Eddy says:

The rate of death is similar to that of the flu — somewhat higher in older people — somewhat lower in younger people.

I am sure that some people who have had covid felt like death warmed over… as I am sure some flu-sufferers feel… particularly when a new strain is in circulation.

I have mentioned I know of a dozen or so people who have had covid — none were old or very unhealthy — all reported symptoms similar to a cold or mild flu.

One – who has been vaccinated — has had covid 3x — each time it is been more severe….

  32. Hubbs says:

Even as a retired orthopedic surgeon with only a little bit of a working knowledge of virology/microbiology, I find the data so corrupt that I really can’t believe it -especially against this backdrop of economic and political agendas and censorship.
I try to understand this COVID mess by constructing a sort of makeshift “model” which might explain the events and the data- not that it is correct- but to provide a platform upon which to sort out the biological, political, and economic forces at play.
First of all, we not dealing with natural systems i.e., a natural occurring virus. I reject the idea that the gain-of-function research was performed to benefit man or to gain a better understanding of viral contagion, prevention and treatment. Pure BS!
My premise is that there is clearly an agenda here-control over populations by lockdowns, passport and capital control, slowing of economies to decrease resource and energy demand, concentration of business and wealth into big corporations with destruction of the small mom and pop stores, and possibly forcing a debt repayment collapse to accelerate a monetary system reset, and even depopulation.
There is no doubt in my mind that the spike protein is where we need to focus. In the original SARS-CoV-2 “alpha” version, it was indeed deadly to a small percentage of healthy, but nevertheless susceptible people. I maintain it was not the de novo or natural virus itself that was deadly, but rather the spike protein only. The elites want us to think that the spike protein only allows greater virulence (more easily spreads to and attaches to cells) when in fact I think it is designed (dual purpose) as a weapon. Again, the natural virus itself may not be causing any damage. It is the spike protein that has been designed to not only attach to the ACE enzyme on the cell surface with greater affinity and penetration, but also to damage cells. So the virus may carry a payload- it boils down to a payload of spike protein production. This is the deception. A narrowly focused production of spike proteins meant to cause short and or long-term damage to human cells- respiratory, neuronal, or reproductive.
Whether that graphene and lipid coating have any morbidity or mortality or whether there is “magnetism” and a means of AI integration etc., I don’t know. That is way beyond my understanding. I suppose that at a certain level, graphene accumulation in the body, like lead, especially in children, is toxic.
The elites’ problem has been to try to titrate the morbidity and the virulence of the virus just right. It has to be deadly enough to cause concern to the population to the extent they will submit to the promise of a “cure” from a “vaccine,” which in reality is a deception to further inject these spike proteins. Big pharma has willingly gone along with development of these vaccines for the $$$. The “vaccines” I maintain, have been DELIBERATELY designed to be narrow in their focus on only the original virus spike protein, and NOT any of the variants which will emerge. Thus, more vaccines will be required. More money for big pharma, and MORE INJECTIONS OF SPIKE PROTEINS AND /OR THEIR MACHINERY FOR PRODUCTION. Forget the native virus itself. That is a sideshow or Trojan horse. Yes, mRNA may get incorporated into the nuclear DNA through reverse RNA transcriptase, like plasmids and bacteriophages have done for eons, but for now, the mRNA is delivered to the cell cytoplasm only, NOT the nucleus. It is in the cytoplasm, not the nucleus, where the ribosomes make the spike proteins. Once inside the cell cytoplasm, it is unclear how long the mRNA and the spike protein production continues. It would appear that it is dependent on a nuclear like chain reaction of releasing more spike proteins into the body. So the what is happening is the body has sort of set up an autoimmune disease process like Lupus, Crohns, Psoriasis, Ulcerative Colitis, Hashimoto’s Disease, Diabetes Type I, etc- producing spike proteins to which the body chases with production of antibodies to these spike proteins in a never ending positive feedback loop. Genius!/S.
Just as a virus sustains itself by adapting through beneficial genetic mutations that allow it to spread without killing too many hosts, the elites want to spread the spike protein. They do this by constructing a spike protein and having deliberately narrowly focused “vaccines” that will use a deliberately designed dead end method of producing only spike proteins to which the body will naturally produce only a limited response, as it never gets a chance to build a resistance to the entire virus which is required to transport more spike proteins thru injections. Lacking this natural immunity context, it is to be anticipated that “resistance” will emerge. This is being called various names, like “antibody escape.” But that is the point. The elites NEVER intended to offer an effective vaccine. They want to preserve the need for more spike protein production injections- at least through the mRNA mechanism of action in the Moderna and Pfizer “vaccines.”

The “problem” may be that the natural covid virus carrier and spike protein combination was not lethal enough and therefore failed to instill enough fear in the population, even with the media disinformation and data corruption, to get them clamoring for injections. So I don’t know whether the elites’ plan was to incrementally vaccinate the population variant by variant until a sufficient amount of spike protein had been delivered, or whether they will go back to the drawing board and deliver a second more lethal virus. Or as Bill Gates said “Next time.” But the public sure has been conditioned to this.

Anyway, for now, that is my working model.
What I really wanted to post is one of the most striking and sobering articles I encountered several years ago by Brandon Smith, with an ominous introduction of “Sometimes Violence in the Face of Tyranny is Necessary.” It still rings true, except that our enemy may be within rather than external, or as written by the Gospel Matthew 10:36. “And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household.” (I am not religious). The original posted article had a moving musical (violin and piano) and film introduction from the BBC film which I have posted the link to below. Eventually, we may be facing these kinds of odds.

A Pharmakon is a tripartite object: A remedy, a poison, and a scapegoat.
In other words a Pharmakon contains the inherent properties of a perfect psycho-biological weapon complex.

Now compare this to the Sars-Cov-2 Virus, its coextensive Psychological Operation, and its Vaccine.

We have a reverse, multi-stage, time-delayed, biological weapon delivered under the plausible deniability of a vaccine for a manufactured virus (both biological and memetic) with time delay and time range of effects preventing causal attribution.

The Scapegoat is a virus, and the remedy is the poison. A Pharmakon by definition. A perfect psycho-biological weapon complex.

Open questions remain whether the mRNA nano-complex and spike protein are morbidity agents, immuno-compromising agents, sterilant agents, prion agents, or prion-like aggregating agents.

THE PERFECT STORM : The economy is a surplus energy equation, not a monetary one, and growth in output (and in the global population) since the Industrial Revolution has resulted from the harnessing of ever-greater quantities of energy. But the critical relationship between energy production and the energy cost of extraction is now deteriorating so rapidly that the economy as we have known it for more than two centuries is beginning to unravel

“The global economy was facing the worst collapse since the second world war as coronavirus began to strike in March, well before the height of the crisis, according to the latest Brookings-FT tracking index. “The index comes as the IMF prepares to hold virtual spring meetings this week, when it will release forecasts showing the deepest contraction for the global economy since the 1930s great depression.

Fed is sharply increasing the amount of help it is providing to the financial system Banks did not trust each other – similar situation when Lehman collapsed

Oil Gluts – do NOT indicate we have found more oil. We just pumped what’s left too fast.

Summary In 2019 a second Perfect Storm was approaching – the central banks had been doing ‘whatever it takes’ for over a decade…. Essentially nothing was off the table — throw the kitchen sink at pushing GFC2.0 into the future. In 2019 the guns were blazing but the beast was no longer held at bay…

What do you do when you are burning far more oil than you discover — and your efforts to offset the impact of expensive to produce oil push you to the edge of the cliff? You can accept your fate and allow the beast to shove you into the abyss…. Or you can take the ‘nuclear option’ and shut down as much of the economy as possible, preserve remaining oil and pump in trillions of dollars of life support to keep the system feebly alive.

Punchline: The problem global leaders face is that if you unleash the nuclear option without some sort of cover, the sheeple and the markets would be thrown into a panic and you risk blowing things up prematurely. So you need a reason for putting the global economy on ice — one that does not spook the masses – one that is big enough to justify such epic amounts of stimulus and extreme policies — and one that allows you to explain ‘this is just temporary – once this is gone — we will get back to normal’

A pandemic is the perfect cover.

End Game – Covid was foisted on us as cover for the response to peak oil (if we don’t slow the burn oil prices go through the roof and we collapse) but it is also being used to convince billions to be Injected. The Injection is meant to cause extremely deadly variants like this .. only worse because we are deploying into a pandemic so everyone dies

The reason for this is that 8B people need cheap oil to live. They would starve without it. And 8B people without food would result in epic starvation, violence, rape and cannibalism. Industrial civilization ends soon after peak oil. Unfortunately we also have 4000 spent fuel ponds that will boil off and release toxic substances for centuries. These facilities cannot be controlled with computers and energy. So even the subsistence level humans die as they consume these toxins in the food, air and water.

The PTB understand all of this and that is WHY every leader is on board with the Injections. There is NO way out of this — so they have decided to mitigate the suffering as much as possible by putting us down and here is the mechanism×900/651857-Werner-Herzog-Quote-Civilization-is-like-a-thin-layer-of-ice-upon.jpg

A formal request from the Government for military help is expected imminently. Around 2,000 HGV drivers from the Royal Logistics Corps and other regiments are being put on a five-day notice to assist with distribution of food and essential supplies

The emergency measure is being taken as the shortage of qualified truckers in the UK reaches crisis point. A source told The Sun on Sunday: “Messages are being sent out to all Army personnel with HGV qualifications. They are being put on five-day standby notice for driving jobs at major distribution centres around the country. “Soldiers will be put up in hotels where necessary and will be working extended hours to assist with the crisis. They will be involved with food distribution as well as the transportation of other essential goods and medical supplies.”

It is understood the action plan will be carried out under the banner of Operation Rescript, the British military’s ongoing response to Covid.

Britain has a shortage of 100,000 truck drivers and the situation worsened with the test and trace pingdemic. It has left some supermarket shelves empty and major food companies struggling to cope with demand. Last month, the Government temporarily extended drivers’ working time rules, from nine to ten hours, allowing them to make longer journeys. But the measure, described by the Road Haulage Association (RHA) as a “sticking plaster”, has not been enough to solve distribution problems. Premier Foods, one of Britain’s biggest food companies, recently called on the Government to consider using the Army.

The source said: “HGV drivers in the Royal Logistics Corps have been told they are on five days’ notice. The call is expected by the end of September.”

Rod McKenzie, the RHA’s managing director of policy and public affairs, said the lorry driver shortage was “a very serious threat to the supply chain”. He added: “There is a critical shortage of lorry drivers and the Government are using short-term measures to address this.”

He added: “The Government’s next step is to bring in the Army. There are 2,000 qualified HGV drivers in the Army. [But] we’re 100,000 lorry drivers short.

I suspect that Boris likes the jingoism of the army spectacle – ‘all grinning and bearing and mucking in for the nation.’ He has not got much else ‘going’ for him with Brexit and lockdown, and his popularity continues to nose dive.

He has spent hundreds of thousands on Union flags to drape himself. Tories cannot do a zoom call without a huge flag pole in the living room and a photo of the ‘queen’ on the wall. And that naval nonsense in the Black Sea and the South China.

The Tories seem to have adopted the trappings of the ‘far right’/ ‘populists’ since UKIP collapsed after Brexit. I suspect that Boris thinks to himself, ‘By jingo, the plebs will like the look of that!’ I suspect that he lives in his own mental world.

    • Mirror on the wall says:

Odd. Boris is down yet again this weekend to his lowest ever rating, even though approval of his handling of c 19 is up a bit (to -9). It would be interesting to hear what is going on in the mind of respondents.

Starmer is also at his lowest ever approval rating. There does not seem to be any real functional opposition at Westminster, which is a pretty serious situation given the pessimism and alarm about the future of the country that has been expressed in recent polls.

      > Boris Johnson’s approval rating hits all-time low

The decline in Mr Johnson’s personal rating came despite an increase in support for the Government’s handling of the pandemic

Boris Johnson’s approval rating has hit an all-time low, an opinion poll has indicated. In an online survey by pollster Opinium Research nearly half (49 percent) of respondents disapproved of the job Mr Johnson is doing as prime minister. Thirty-four percent approved. The percentage of those who disapprove is up two points from a fortnight ago.

The PM’s net approval rating has also fallen to -16 percent, down from -13 percent a fortnight ago and the lowest recorded in the 53 times Opinium has asked the question. The decline in Mr Johnson’s personal rating came despite an increase in support for the government’s handling of the pandemic, from a net -16 percent a fortnight ago to -9 percent. The Tories’ poll lead remains relatively stable, dropping by one point over the past fortnight to 42 percent with Labour unchanged on 35 percent.

Labour leader, Sir Keir Starmer’s approval raring has also dipped from -6 percent to -11 percent, its joint-lowest in the Opinium series.

There are several ways to look at this:

1/ They believe they can manage mass casualties caused by vaccines, and use it to their advantage, have suitable drugs to protect themselves and being psychos don’t care, or

2/ In the haste to reach greater objectives, in the Great Re-set, they have over-looked basic vaccine science, or under-estimated the damage as too awkward to face.

This is not impossible: the study of military history shows many instances of generals over-looking obvious flaws in campaign plans due to their desire to reach an objective and win glory.

This happened quite often in WW1 and 2. Hundreds of thousands, even millions, of men have died for such reasons – because their generals had an obviously flawed plan, and were indifferent to loss of life.

Much of what is happening has the stamp of the MIC all over it, does it not?

Imperfect Vaccination Can Enhance the Transmission of Highly Virulent Pathogens

Could some vaccines drive the evolution of more virulent pathogens?

Conventional wisdom is that natural selection will remove highly lethal pathogens if host death greatly reduces transmission. Vaccines that keep hosts alive but still allow transmission could thus allow very virulent strains to circulate in a population. Here we show experimentally that immunization of chickens against Marek’s disease virus enhances the fitness of more virulent strains, making it possible for hyperpathogenic strains to transmit.

Immunity elicited by direct vaccination or by maternal vaccination prolongs host survival but does not prevent infection, viral replication or transmission, thus extending the infectious periods of strains otherwise too lethal to persist. Our data show that anti-disease vaccines that do not prevent transmission can create conditions that promote the emergence of pathogen strains that cause more severe disease in unvaccinated hosts.

      Author Summary

There is a theoretical expectation that some types of vaccines could prompt the evolution of more virulent (“hotter”) pathogens. This idea follows from the notion that natural selection removes pathogen strains that are so “hot” that they kill their hosts and, therefore, themselves. Vaccines that let the hosts survive but do not prevent the spread of the pathogen relax this selection, allowing the evolution of hotter pathogens to occur.

This type of vaccine is often called a leaky vaccine. When vaccines prevent transmission, as is the case for nearly all vaccines used in humans, this type of evolution towards increased virulence is blocked. But when vaccines leak, allowing at least some pathogen transmission, they could create the ecological conditions that would allow hot strains to emerge and persist.

This theory proved highly controversial when it was first proposed over a decade ago, but here we report experiments with Marek’s disease virus in poultry that show that modern commercial leaky vaccines can have precisely this effect: they allow the onward transmission of strains otherwise too lethal to persist.

Thus, the use of leaky vaccines can facilitate the evolution of pathogen strains that put unvaccinated hosts at greater risk of severe disease. The future challenge is to identify whether there are other types of vaccines used in animals and humans that might also generate these evolutionary risks.

People are trying to cancel Joe Rogan because of this video where he cites a scientific study proving lab rats are more at risk than those who think for themselves. They are losing the narrative.

Rogan – who acknowledge that he’s not a doctor or an anti-vaxx person, says that concerned doctors have been anonymously sending him studies – including one which asserts that an imperfect vaccine can lead to ‘highly virulent pathogens,’ and that ‘vaccines that keep the host alive but still allow transmission can thus allow virulent strains to circulate in a population.’

“The very sort of environment that we’re creating by having so many people vaccinated with a vaccine that doesn’t kill off the virus, it actually can lead to a more potent virus. Try finding that story anywhere,” said Rogan, who was referring to a peer-reviewed paper published in 2015, in which its authors – from Penn State and the Pirbright Institute concluded that “anti-disease vaccines that do not prevent transmission can create conditions that promote the emergence of pathogen strains that cause more severe disease in unvaccinated hosts.”

The latest figures I could find quoted on line were from July 29 this year:

“Over 57% of the country’s 9.3 million citizens have received two doses of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine, and over 80% of the population over 40 is vaccinated.”

So, the takeaway from that is that 57% of the citizens (the fully jabbed) account for 85 to 90% of hospitalizations and 95% of severely ill patients.

But I know, this is just a long series of coincidences. They are old and they would have been hospitalized anyway. It’s either that or these jabs are not fit for purpose.

I couldn’t find the data on severe illness but this file appears to have the latest hospitalisations and deaths. For w/e 31st July, there were 270 hospitalisations of those who are fully vaccinated and 117 of those who were unvaccinated, with another 7 partly vaccinated cases,.so under70% (not 95%) were fully vaccinated. I don’t know about deaths as the figures in those data are not detailed on deaths (most show “<5", rather than an definite number). For ages up to 50, there are more unvaccinated than vaccinated hospitalisations for the under 50s. If the vast majority of people in older age groups have been vaccinated, that needs to be taken into account.

  47. Fast Eddy says:

Joe Rogan raised eyebrows during a Friday episode of his podcast, where he railed against vaccine passports and suggested that the vaccine may in fact lead to vax-resistant SARS-CoV-2 mutations.
