Time and time again, financial approaches have worked to fix economic problems. Raising interest rates has acted to slow the economy and lowering them has acted to speed up the economy. Governments overspending their incomes also acts to push the economy ahead; doing the reverse seems to slow economies down.
What could possibly go wrong? The issue is a physics problem. The economy doesn’t run simply on money and debt. It operates on resources of many kinds, including energy-related resources. As the population grows, the need for energy-related resources grows. The bottleneck that occurs is something that is hard to see in advance; it is an affordability bottleneck.
For a very long time, financial manipulations have been able to adjust affordability in a way that is optimal for most players. At some point, resources, especially energy resources, get stretched too thin, relative to the rising population and all the commitments that have been made, such as pension commitments. As a result, there is no way for the quantity of goods and services produced to grow sufficiently to match the promises that the financial system has made. This is the real bottleneck that the world economy reaches.
I believe that we are closely approaching this bottleneck today. I recently gave a talk to a group of European officials at the 2nd Luxembourg Strategy Conference, discussing the issue from the European point of view. Europeans seem to be especially vulnerable because Europe, with its early entry into the Industrial Revolution, substantially depleted its fossil fuel resources many years ago. The topic I was asked to discuss was, “Energy: The interconnection of energy limits and the economy and what this means for the future.”
In this post, I write about this presentation.

The major issue is that money, by itself, cannot operate the economy, because we cannot eat money. Any model of the economy must include energy and other resources. In a finite world, these resources tend to deplete. Also, human population tends to grow. At some point, not enough goods and services are produced for the growing population.
I believe that the major reason we have not been told about how the economy really works is because it would simply be too disturbing to understand the real situation. If today’s economy is dependent on finite fossil fuel supplies, it becomes clear that, at some point, these will run short. Then the world economy is likely to face a very difficult time.
A secondary reason for the confusion about how the economy operates is too much specialization by researchers studying the issue. Physicists (who are concerned about energy) don’t study economics; politicians and economists don’t study physics. As a result, neither group has a very broad understanding of the situation.
I am an actuary. I come from a different perspective: Will physical resources be adequate to meet financial promises being made? I have had the privilege of learning a little from both economic and physics sides of the discussion. I have also learned about the issue from a historical perspective.

World energy consumption has been growing very rapidly at the same time that the world economy has been growing. This makes it hard to tell whether the growing energy supply enabled the economic growth, or whether the higher demand created by the growing economy encouraged the world economy to use more resources, including energy resources.
Physics says that it is energy resources that enable economic growth.

The R-squared of GDP as a function of energy is .98, relative to the equation shown.

Physicists talk about the “dissipation” of energy. In this process, the ability of an energy product to do “useful work” is depleted. For example, food is an energy product. When food is digested, its ability to do useful work (provide energy for our body) is used up. Cooking food, whether using a campfire or electricity or by burning natural gas, is another way of dissipating energy.
Humans are clearly part of the economy. Every type of work that is done depends upon energy dissipation. If energy supplies deplete, the form of the economy must change to match.

There are a huge number of systems that seem to grow by themselves using a process called self-organization. I have listed a few of these on Slide 8. Some of these things are alive; most are not. They are all called “dissipative structures.”
The key input that allows these systems to stay in a “non-dead” state is dissipation of energy of the appropriate type. For example, we know that humans need about 2,000 calories a day to continue to function properly. The mix of food must be approximately correct, too. Humans probably could not live on a diet of lettuce alone, for example.
Economies have their own need for energy supplies of the proper kind, or they don’t function properly. For example, today’s agricultural equipment, as well as today’s long-distance trucks, operate on diesel fuel. Without enough diesel fuel, it becomes impossible to plant and harvest crops and bring them to market. A transition to an all-electric system would take many, many years, if it could be done at all.

I think of an economy as being like a child’s building toy. Gradually, new participants are added, both in the form of new citizens and new businesses. Businesses are formed in response to expected changes in the markets. Governments gradually add new laws and new taxes. Supply and demand seem to set market prices. When the system seems to be operating poorly, regulators step in, typically adjusting interest rates and the availability of debt.
One key to keeping the economy working well is the fact that those who are “consumers” closely overlap those who are “employees.” The consumers (= employees) need to be paid well enough, or they cannot purchase the goods and services made by the economy.
A less obvious key to keeping the economy working well is that the whole system needs to be growing. This is necessary so that there are enough goods and services available for the growing population. A growing economy is also needed so that debt can be repaid with interest, and so that pension obligations can be paid as promised.

World population has been growing year after year, but arable land stays close to constant. To provide enough food for this rising population, more intensive agriculture is required, often including irrigation, fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides.
Furthermore, an increasing amount of fresh water is needed, leading to a need for deeper wells and, in some places, desalination to supplement other water sources. All these additional efforts add energy usage, as well as costs.
In addition, mineral ores and energy supplies of all kinds tend to become depleted because the best resources are accessed first. This leaves the more expensive-to-extract resources for later.

The issues in Slide 11 are a continuation of the issues described on Slide 10. The result is that the cost of energy production eventually rises so much that its higher costs spill over into the cost of all other goods and services. Workers find that their paychecks are not high enough to cover the items they usually purchased in the past. Some poor people cannot even afford food and fresh water.

Increasing debt is helpful as an economy grows. A farmer can borrow money for seed to grow a crop, and he can repay the debt, once the crop has grown. Or an entrepreneur can finance a factory using debt.
On the consumer side, debt at a sufficiently low interest rate can be used to make the purchase of a home or vehicle affordable.
Central banks and others involved in the financial world figured out many years ago that if they manipulate interest rates and the availability of credit, they are generally able to get the economy to grow as fast as they would like.

It is hard for most people to imagine how much interest rates have varied over the last century. Back during the Great Depression of the 1930s and the early 1940s, interest rates were very close to zero. As large amounts of inexpensive energy were added to the economy in the post-World War II period, the world economy raced ahead. It was possible to hold back growth by raising interest rates.
Oil supply was constrained in the 1970s, but demand and prices kept rising. US Federal Reserve Chairman Paul Volker is known for raising interest rates to unheard of heights (over 15%) with a peak in 1981 to end inflation brought on by high oil prices. This high inflation rate brought on a huge recession from which the economy eventually recovered, as the higher prices brought more oil supply online (Alaska, North Sea, and Mexico), and as substitution was made for some oil use. For example, home heating was moved away from burning oil; electricity-production was mostly moved from oil to nuclear, coal and natural gas.
Another thing that has helped the economy since 1981 has been the ability to stimulate demand by lowering interest rates, making monthly payments more affordable. In 2008, the US added Quantitative Easing as a way of further holding interest rates down. A huge debt bubble has thus been built up since 1981, as the world economy has increasingly been operated with an increasing amount of debt at ever-lower interest rates. (See 3-month and 10 year interest rates shown on Slide 14.) This cheap debt has allowed rapidly rising asset prices.

The world economy starts hitting major obstacles when energy supply stops growing faster than population because the supply of finished goods and services (such as new automobile, new homes, paved roads, and airplane trips for passengers) produced stops growing as rapidly as population. These obstacles take the form of affordability obstacles. The physics of the situation somehow causes the wages and wealth to be increasingly concentrated among the top 10% or 1%. Lower-paid individuals are increasingly left out. While goods are still produced, ever-fewer workers can afford more than basic necessities. Such a situation makes for unhappy workers.
World energy consumption per capita hit a peak in 2018 and began to slide in 2019, with an even bigger drop in 2020. With less energy consumption, world automobile sales began to slide in 2019 and fell even lower in 2020. Protests, often indirectly related to inadequate wages or benefits, became an increasing problem in 2019. The year 2020 is known for Covid-19 related shutdowns and flight cancellations, but the indirect effect was to reduce energy consumption by less travel and by broken supply lines leading to unavailable goods. Prices of fossil fuels dropped far too low for producers.
Governments tried to get their own economies growing by various techniques, including spending more than the tax revenue they took in, leading to a need for more government debt, and by Quantitative Easing, acting to hold down interest rates. The result was a big increase in the money supply in many countries. This increased money supply was often distributed to individual citizens as subsidies of various kinds.
The higher demand caused by this additional money tended to cause inflation. It tended to raise fossil fuel prices because the inexpensive-to-extract fuels have mostly been extracted. In the days of Paul Volker, more energy supply at a little higher price was available within a few years. This seems extremely unlikely today because of diminishing returns. The problem is that there is little new oil supply available unless prices can stay above at least $120 per barrel on a consistent basis, and prices this high, or higher, do not seem to be available.
Oil prices are not rising this high, even with all of the stimulus funds because of the physics-based wage disparity problem mentioned previously. Also, those with political power try to keep fuel prices down so that the standards of living of citizens will not fall. Because of these low oil prices, OPEC+ continues to make cuts in production. The existence of chronically low prices for fossil fuels is likely the reason why Russia behaves in as belligerent a manner as it does today.
Today, with rising interest rates and Quantitative Tightening instead of Quantitative Easing, a major concern is that the debt bubble that has grown since in 1981 will start to collapse. With falling debt levels, prices of assets, such as homes, farms, and shares of stock, can be expected to fall. Many borrowers will be unable to repay their loans.
If this combination of events occurs, deflation is a likely outcome because banks and pension funds are likely to fail. If, somehow, local governments are able to bail out banks and pension funds, then there is a substantial likelihood of local hyperinflation. In such a case, people will have huge quantities of money, but practically nothing available to buy. In either case, the world economy will shrink because of inadequate energy supply.

Most people have a “normalcy bias.” They assume that if economic growth has continued for a long time in the past, it necessarily will occur in the future. Yet, we all know that all dissipative structures somehow come to an end. Humans can come to an end in many ways: They can get hit by a car; they can catch an illness and succumb to it; they can die of old age; they can starve to death.
History tells us that economies nearly always collapse, usually over a period of years. Sometimes, population rises so high that the food production margin becomes tight; it becomes difficult to set aside enough food if the cycle of weather should turn for the worse. Thus, population drops when crops fail.
In the years leading up to collapse, it is common that the wages of ordinary citizens fall too low for them to be able to afford an adequate diet. In such a situation, epidemics can spread easily and kill many citizens. With so much poverty, it becomes impossible for governments to collect enough taxes to maintain services they have promised. Sometimes, nations lose at war because they cannot afford a suitable army. Very often, governmental debt becomes non-repayable.
The world economy today seems to be approaching some of the same bottlenecks that more local economies hit in the past.

The basic problem is that with inadequate energy supplies, the total quantity of goods and services provided by the economy must shrink. Thus, on average, people must become poorer. Most individual citizens, as well as most governments, will not be happy about this situation.
The situation becomes very much like the game of musical chairs. In this game, one chair at a time is removed. The players walk around the chairs while music plays. When the music stops, all participants grab for a chair. Someone gets left out. In the case of energy supplies, the stronger countries will try to push aside the weaker competitors.

Countries that understand the importance of adequate energy supplies recognize that Europe is relatively weak because of its dependence on imported fuel. However, Europe seems to be oblivious to its poor position, attempting to dictate to others how important it is to prevent climate change by eliminating fossil fuels. With this view, it can easily keep its high opinion of itself.
If we think about the musical chairs’ situation and not enough energy supplies to go around, everyone in the world (except Europe) would be better off if Europe were to be forced out of its high imports of fossil fuels. Russia could perhaps obtain higher energy export prices in Asia and the Far East. The whole situation becomes very strange. Europe tells itself it is cutting off imports to punish Russia. But, if Europe’s imports can remain very low, everyone else, from the US, to Russia, to China, to Japan would benefit.

The benefits of wind and solar energy are glorified in Europe, with people being led to believe that it would be easy to transition from fossil fuels, and perhaps leave nuclear, as well. The problem is that wind, solar, and even hydroelectric energy supply are very undependable. They cannot ever be ramped up to provide year-round heat. They are poorly adapted for agricultural use (except for sunshine helping crops grow).
Few people realize that the benefits that wind and solar provide are tiny. They cannot be depended on, so companies providing electricity need to maintain duplicate generating capacity. Wind and solar require far more transmission than fossil-fuel-generated electricity because the best sources are often far from population centers. When all costs are included (without subsidy), wind and solar electricity tend to be more expensive than fossil-fuel generated electricity. They are especially difficult to rely on in winter. Therefore, many people in Europe are concerned about possibly “freezing in the dark,” as soon as this winter.
There is no possibility of ever transitioning to a system that operates only on intermittent electricity with the population that Europe has today, or that the world has today. Wind turbines and solar panels are built and maintained using fossil fuel energy. Transmission lines cannot be maintained using intermittent electricity alone.

Basically, Europe must use very much less fossil fuel energy, for the long term. Citizens cannot assume that the war with Ukraine will soon be over, and everything will be back to the way it was several years ago. It is much more likely that the freeze-in-the-dark problem will be present every winter, from now on. In fact, European citizens might actually be happier if the climate would warm up a bit.
With this as background, there is a need to figure out how to use less energy without hurting lifestyles too badly. To some extent, changes from the Covid-19 shutdowns can be used, since these indirectly were ways of saving energy. Furthermore, if families can move in together, fewer buildings in total will need to be heated. Cooking can perhaps be done for larger groups at a time, saving on fuel.
If families can home-school their children, this saves both the energy for transportation to school and the energy for heating the school. If families can keep younger children at home, instead of sending them to daycare, this saves energy, as well.
A major issue that I do not point out directly in this presentation is the high energy cost of supporting the elderly in the lifestyles to which they have become accustomed. One issue is the huge amount and cost of healthcare. Another is the cost of separate residences. These costs can be reduced if the elderly can be persuaded to move in with family members, as was done in the past. Pension programs worldwide are running into financial difficulty now, with interest rates rising. Countries with large elderly populations are likely to be especially affected.

Besides conserving energy, the other thing people in Europe can do is attempt to understand the dynamics of our current situation. We are in a different world now, with not enough energy of the right kinds to go around.
The dynamics in a world of energy shortages are like those of the musical chairs’ game. We can expect more fighting. We cannot expect that countries that have been on our side in the past will necessarily be on our side in the future. It is more like being in an undeclared war with many participants.
Under ideal circumstances, Europe would be on good terms with energy exporters, even Russia. I suppose at this late date, nothing can be done.
A major issue is that if Europe attempts to hold down fossil fuel prices, the indirect result will be to reduce supply. Oil, natural gas and coal producers will all reduce supply before they will accept a price that they consider too low. Given the dependence of the world economy on energy supplies, especially fossil fuel energy supplies, this will make the situation worse, rather than better.
Wind and solar are not replacements for fossil fuels. They are made with fossil fuels. We don’t have the ability to store up solar energy from summer to winter. Wind is also too undependable, and battery capacity too low, to compensate for need for storage from season to season. Thus, without a growing supply of fossil fuels, it is impossible for today’s economy to continue in its current form.

Please find herewith the ambitious plan to disgregate Russia.
It seems not so different from previous plans to disgregate Iraq, Libia, Syria or others.
‘Ukraine, Kiev services: ‘War will end by summer and RUSSIA WILL BREAK UP’
[…] ..the end of the war will mean the start of “a very serious political process” in Russia, with some regions breaking away from the Federation, starting with those in the Caucasus. “There are many territorial problems. The ‘Russian federation’ is just a name. It is a very large territory…. It is based only on faith in the power of the regime. AS SOON AS THE REGIME COLLAPSES, EVERYTHING WILL BREAK DOWN.”

That is old news anyway. The MSM also predicted that the russian economy would collapse soon every year since at least 2007. So it is bound to happen anytime now. To misquote someone famous, Russia is like a rotten door that can be kicked in with a single kick. There will then be the Urals republic, the pacific republic, Tatarstan, the arctic republic under the direct auspices of the US, and so on and so forth.
Isn’t it the case that the music has stopped and everyone has to find a chair? No single entity is collapsing…. Remember Gail’s famous stick dome?
Uh Gail, just to nit pick about the musical chairs; The chairs are supposed to be facing the other way! LOL.
But I did forward this post to my daughter and told her to read it carefully, very carefully and to show it to her college room mate.
It is amazing how many people still don’t get it.
My brother, a mechanical engineer, worked at Electric Boat (General Dynamics ) making submarines in Groton CT for 20 years, gorged at the defense industry money trough. When I strongly suggested he read your posts two years ago, he laughed and called you a “birdbrain.” I don’t talk to him any more.
I agree that the chairs need to be facing outward. But I found this image first, and it is colorful.
Zeihan has a new video out today on the ongoing collapse of Russia, it may be something you will enjoy.
Zeihan!? That guy is an incurable optimist 😀
Everyone is going to collapse at some point, or to be helped along the path by being “stoneaged” a la Libya, Iraq etc.
To stoneage is new verb folks, meaning to deliberately destroy a country/region beyond the point of rehabilitation being possible, in order to permanently reduce its energy and resource footprint.
The EU gets to go next by the look of it. Russia will be towards the back of the queue I reckon, behind the US.
Anyway, enjoy the FF party whilst you still can. And for all the earnest new commenters, No nuclear etc [insert your favourite technology here] is not going to save BAU.

TES adjusted this last Cancer Mortality Curve by best feel for the dynamics of the info – and reassigned 75% of those fraudulent records back to Cancer.
The actual number was 78.7% 😎
Thus, TES was correct about the Cancer trend all along.
We are in a 9+ sigma Cancer event.

Fast, while it can be argued that this isn’t the forum for many of your comments, I like that you’re persistent in trying to expose the cerveza sickness for the fraud that it is. However, even you have not descended very far down the rabbit hole.
Germ Theory has been debunked.
No proof, anywhere on the planet that viruses (of any kind) exist.
We do not have an immune “system” like we have been led to believe.
In other words, if one does the leg work, one will find that modern medicine is based on fraud.
https://drsambailey.com/
This link can serve as a starting point for those interested in doing the legwork.
Gail, thank you for being tolerant. Also, while there are others (like Tim Watkins or the global elite) who share your understanding of the energy predicament, too few of the decision makers do. The masses won’t want to accept the facts. Keep trying to spread the word.
I am afraid I do not have time/energy for the “Germ Theory has been debunked” arguments, however. My father was an MD. I have used antibiotics several times, over the years.
Please take this discussion elsewhere.
Nobody is saying that antibiotics don’t kill microbes. And nobody is saying that microbes don’t cause ‘negative’ symptoms. There’s just zero proof that they cause the underlying disease that leads to the symptoms. And ‘negative’ is in quotes because symptoms are what alert us to the fact that we are healing from disease. Healing, as we know from psychology, is a difficult, traumatic process. Ergo, symptomatic healings are objectively good or we’ll never get better, even though they cause us to suffer. Allopathy means “beyond suffering,” which is to say, beyond healing.
No one here is disrespecting your father. The whole point of evolution is to stand on the shoulders of giants — of our parents, those giants in our lives — so that we may reach NEW heights that were not available to them. In reaching new heights, without judgement, is HOW we honor them. 🙂
I notice that nobody has tried to explain why a respiratory disease struck us one after the other a few months ago – and also infected pretty much all of QT within a two week period…
Just like norm will not explain why the CNN reporter in the clip said there was no plane wreckage at the Pentagon during 911.
There are other explanations for why people in the same environment come down with similar symptoms “one after another.”
And none of them have to do with fictional “deadly” viruses floating through the air and invading and bypassing your body’s defences.
I wish someone like you would simply take the time to do the dam*ned research on this topic as millions of others have done over the past three years on even previous to the Covvid spectacle.
It makes me wonder if some people simply don’t want to understand the topic on a deeper level because it would destroy what little understanding they have of the Big Picture they have left and the “fun” they have at a certain level.
Go deeper and there’s no need for thousands of posts and comments pointing out the minutia of the fraud.
There are no pathogenic or respiratory viruses – end of story.
Disease or reactions or the process of detox happens for other reasons and is perfectly natural.
You have been lied to your whole life.
Germ theory is one of the biggest whoppers.
Time to grow up people.
I’m looking for a simple explanation as to why when one person in the place I live picks up a flu-like illness … it spreads to others in the house.
It does seem to indicate that something is being passed from one person to the others… of course ‘Terrain’ is a factor — the healthier your immune system the harder it would be for that thing to get past your defences…
And generally not everyone in this house gets sick when one does…
However it is my understanding that Omicron was far more contagious than earlier versions of the Covid thing…. i.e. it was much more capable of getting through our immune defences…
And that’s why all 4 of us became sick.
An anti-viral medication made me better – very quickly. And I am told that was a mistake because it prevented me from detoxifying … as if being sick is some sort of purge… I most definitely do not accept that — is cancer detoxifying too?
I have watched the Bailey presentation on this — she does not sufficiently explain the contagion aspect. I have asked the Terrain folks multiple times but they cannot provide a proper explanation – I am asking to watch more lengthy videos etc etc that don’t explain it.
Surely there must be a Twitter length version that provides and executive summary.
Just cuz Sam Bailey is reasonably hot (but nowhere near as hot as that swimsuit gal I posted earlier)… lots of people buy into whatever she says…
It’s usually the other way around — hot usually leads to the golden pole and VIP room… and vapidity.
Tom Cowans channel on Bitchute is a goldmine of logical, methodical, science-based investigation into and breakdown of the whole business of faking the existence of pathogenic viruses.
Anyone who goes through the material (and there are plenty of books on the topic) and comes away still believing that labs actually isolate and purify virus particles in their “studies” is truly unbreakable and simply wishes to continue to live according to all the lies they’ve ever been told.
It’s a rough ride… but I thought you were up to it. Maybe I was wrong.
Then you are not interested in the truth Gail.
And that puts into question everything else you write about.
Antibiotics are useful when too much bacterial response to toxins and other causes of disease overwhelms the system, but bacteria are not the cause of disease. That is a medical lie that has hung around for far too long.
The world is moving on and those still stuck with outdated beliefs will be become irrelevant and obsolete.
This is moving forward at a fast pace. I understand that it’s difficult for older folk to change their ways and learn new things. Just look at poor old Norm. He doesn’t get it and never will.
Please don’t become one of those people who reject new understanding on certain topics because it makes you uncomfortable. The evidence provided by Tom Cowan and many others is irrefutable because it’s the truth. We have been bamboozled and lied to by a disgusting industry that needs be reformed from top to bottom.
All the doctors who followed the protocols established by the criminal WHO are guilty and complicit in crimes against humanity. I have zero respect for that profession now. They should be in prison.
Tsubion
“And that puts into question everything else you write about.”
Everything should be judged on its own merit. If someone does outstanding work on ecological economics (systems-based peak oil theory), etc, but missed the boat on ecological health (systems -based terrain theory) then their outstanding work on economics still stands, though it stands apart, without the benefits of the lateral channels of thinking that run between the two which, in my mind, is where discovery lays, in lateral thinking.
Speaking of lateral thinking, of patterning, during my journey into the heart of biology I discovered that Cowan and Kaufman and Bailey and all in that organized, ‘no-virus’ moneymaking club are ‘flat-earthing’ biology to varying degrees. They are luddite, Scientific Methodists who refuse to recognize the crucial role that exosomes play in this ‘virus’ conversation. Some of them refuse the existence of exosomes altogether and the others refuse to accept the communicative function of exosomes, because understanding exosomes is a new field, and a partly patterned (theoretical) field beyond the laboratory scientific method and they have wedded themselves to 19th and 20th century orthodoxy so that they can harmonize their moneymaking political aspirations as ‘resistance’ leaders. Organizational stupidity. What else is new, right? None of em wanted to engage me because they have a good thing going. Lanka has done valuable work but he’s a quack, too. It almost feels like controlled opposition.
By ignoring exosomes they ignore the root of biology, because exosomes are the intercellular primers for the polymerase chain reaction, for the primordial soup of biogenesis, of evolution. Exosomes are what ‘viruses’ actually are: same structure, opposite function. These self-appointed ‘leaders’ of the terrain don’t actually give a damn for the terrain, they just claim it as theirs, as with Kaufman teaming up with Alex Jones to make the documentary, “The Terrain.” Alex Jones, one step removed from Donald Trump. Things that make you go hmmm. Kaufman, he knows nothing about the terrain. None of them even understand that anaerobes occupy a different ecological niche from healthy aerobic organisms, which is the first inch that germ theorists can’t have.
Reante
I agree with Gail’s diagnosis of the predicament we face, but not the conclusions.
A predicament is just a more difficult to solve problem, but not impossible.
In fact… I don’t accept anyone’s prognostications on anything going forward because I don’t believe anyone can make that call.
We simply don’t know what will happen. The unknowns will make that clear to all as and when they appear.
IMO mathematical models predicting future events are garbage as demonstrated by the “geniuses” at Imperial College when it comes to Globbly Wobbly and Covid.
Now to the No Virus Grifters!
I have suspected from the beginning that these characters formed part of the “club” of “good guys” ushering in a new paradigm based on New German Medicine. The aura of New Age holistic healing permeates all of them and binds them together. They make money selling aternative healthcare products. So what? That’s not an argument. Just like Gail saying her dad was a doctor. Again. Not an argument.
Kaufman in 2020 was specifically pointing out that virus particles could be exosomes. He specifically said that he wasn’t sure but this is where the evidence was leading. These guys along with Lanka, whether you personally like them or not, are responsible for waking up the required curiosity in millions of people that lead to the right questions being asked.
Now the conversation is out there and will not stop until all stones have been overturned. Mikovits was another loose cannon playing off against these other characters. IMO they are all controlling the narrative that leads us to a new conclusion.
Lee Merritt is providing her perspective too which I generally agree with.
And I don’t see how that is harmful is any way as long as we get to the truth somehow.
I agree that communication occurs between organisms. This is well understood in both flora and fauna. This is maybe the answer that FE is looking for explaining why some people in groups detox at the same time. The messaging at this level signals and activates corrective measures in the organisms that require it. Synchronicity at work.
I don’t think these characters are “evil” or telling lies. They just have their approach to healthcare which I generally agree with. They are not biologists.
You seem to be more in line with Biologists for Truth – an activist group here in Spain. They have also been arguing back and forth with other factions over the precise nature of these particles and their functions in the symbiotic soup!
At least that conversation is happening publicly.
I’m a lay person so I just want the truth to be told. Good information can be gleaned from all of these factions – much more IMO than the shills to be found all over Substack more or less parroting the official party rhetoric. They are also grifters are they not?
Exosomes are what ‘viruses’ actually are: same structure, opposite function.
If what you say is true… and I believe that it is… then the whole world needs to know this.
Ya but why is it that none of the Terrainers (and I do think terrain is important … if you are fit and healthy — you are less likely to contract an illness)…. are able to explain to me the following:
When Covid came to Queenstown — one of our munchkins got sick with it.. then the other … then M Fast … then me. I was the only one who treated it – Hydroxy… which is an anti viral — and I was better in two days. It took M Fast 5 days.
And most of the city contracted Covid during this period.
It does appear that something is being passed from person to person … and it did not seem to matter how robust one’s Terrain was… everyone got sick.
I hate to apply logic to the situation .. but I will anyway… and I have asked multiple times what the mechanism is for the spread of a respiratory illness and the Terrainers can’t answer.
Did everyone’s Terrain suddenly weaken?
Because hydroxy chloroquine is an ‘immunosupressant’ (a symptom suppressor). That’s why. Cold symptoms are secondary/seasonal detoxes. It stopped your detox. Which is a dumb thing to do. And a fearful thing to do.
You don’t know that everyone got ‘covid’ because farmed pcrb’tests’ aren’t diagnostic tools.
Why was there a wave? You’re into mass formation psychoses, so why isn’t that good enough for you? Mass formation goosing a seasonal detox of a large population all swimming in the same toxic soup.
Huh Eddy? Could it be that you still have work to do other repeatedly saying that no one has answered a question that you don’t intend to listen to anyway? Ya tink?
How about this — we all got sick one after the other – flu-like symptoms — except for me … I was barely sick at all – I was on my bike two days later… seems I didn’t do myself any harm with the hydroxy…
So why did we get sick with the same illness… same symptoms?
I just told you why. Seasonal/secondary detoxes are either ‘colds’ or ‘flus.’
How did it spread?
No disease spreads by P2P contagion. That’s a lie. What happens is different people are exposed to the same disease source (toxins, poisons, bacteria whatever) and different people get sick. AFAIK nobody ever proved that person A passed his disease to person B. Germ theory is the ultimate conspiration.
So most of the entire town was exposed to something a few months back and they all got sick at the same time.
What might that be?
And why have we never experienced anything like this in the 5 yrs I have lived here?
It was so bad that businesses had to close because they lacked staff – who were off sick.
Odd if it was bacteria then why did an anti viral medication bring me right so quickly?
Maybe everyone should take penicillin when the flu is in play?
You know this is bordering on witchcraft… shall we start bleeding people to remove the toxins that cause respiratory diseases?
I’m not saying that the outbreak of disease in your town was caused by toxins. It could have been electromagnetic radiation, or the natural detoxification process that Reante talks about.
But don’t forget that if there were stores closing due to lack of staff, that doesn’t mean that these people were really sick, most of them just had “tested positive” and therefore were forbidden to leave their homes. Around the world, billions of work hours have been lost because of the need to reinforce the pandemic narrative at all costs.
Currently, at least in Portugal, you no longer need to be quarantined when you have a “positive test”. Why?
Covid is now basically a cold. There is no reason to stop the spread.
They’ve succeeded in creating an extremely contagious respiratory illness..
Now they are plugging in the deadly part and will release it when the Economics Team informs the Elders that ‘we are almost out of bullets – it’s time’
Fauci will be summonsed to the oak panelled room — and there will be a very solemn moment as he is informed ‘it’s time’
And the wheels of extinction will be put in motion.
The Super Fent team will give the couriers the Go sign… the PR Team will ready the Extreme Fear camera crews… the military will distribute hazmats and prep for martial law… shoot to kill orders issued…
Once all teams report ‘locked and loaded’… Demon Covid will appear in multiple cities across the world … initially there will be no travel restrictions – they will want to ensure it quickly enters every country …
They are ready — they’ve got the Demon Covid in the lab .. now it’s just a matter of how much longer can they hold BAU together… they won’t want to cut it too close… once control is lost the implosion will be fast… all the trading is electronic.. and global.. if finance gets a whiff of the CBs losing control they’ll hit sell – BOOM.
Don’t want to muck around … better to go early than wait and miss the window… what does it matter if we get another couple of months by taking on risk… nobody wants ROF…
That’s the problem — it could be anything – it could be that an alien ship was hovering over our house that week and made us all sick… there is the lag thing though … the first person was sick over a week before the last person (me) got sick
Also I killed the sickness with Hydroxy… which targets viruses – or whatever we call them….
As for people being really sick or faking it … I am sure some faked it .. but from the amount of coughing and hacking going around at the time that was likely a minority.
Also I was seeing teams with half their players not reporting during league hockey games during all of this … I know for a fact they were sick. When they returned many of them still had residual sickness (VAIDS induced of course).
I am not saying the virus theory is a lock — but neither is the Terrain theory.
But I do enjoy a nice Terrain – I doubt she gets sick much.

Eddy, why is it that JMS has to remind you that people didn’t come to work for political reasons – because they tested ‘positive?’ You’ve posted a million times about the PCR scam. JMS has to remind you because you’re being asked to do something you don’t want to do, which is to open yourself up to the possibility of taking another red pill if the situation calls for it. The red pills never stop coming. That’s not to say that the establishment is wrong about everything. Of course it’s not. The earth is indeed round, for example.
Exosomes can satisfy your need for a spreading mechanism. Exosomes are what ‘viruses’ actually are: same structure, opposite function. Each set of disease symptomologies corresponds to a ‘class’ of exosomes sharing a similar genetic structure. When a body needs to heal disease (by detoxification/clearing of dead tissues) the dying cells produce many exosomes communicating the nature of the disease to neighboring cells for whole-body coordination purposes. A secondary function is that some of these exosomes leave the body (germ theorists call them viruses) and enter other bodies. Like I said these exosomes are natural primers in the natural, cellular polymerase chain reactions that build all of our many bodily proteins and genetic material. These exosomes are evolutionary intercellular health communications. If the communications are numerous enough (highly amplified) and relevant (the disease is shared) then ‘spread’ will happen. But that’s not contagion. That’s group healing. And germ theory is Orwellian. What else is new?
4 wheel drive territory!
Ethical Skeptic is out of the gate first & breaking for home with this one; “CDC is now (post ‘system upgrade’) unilaterally shifting Cancer UCoD deaths to Covid UCoD deaths (even trivial nosocomial)

This seems to explain why I didn’t see a rise in cancer deaths, when I looked at data by cause, assuming that the image is in fact correct–cause of death was assigned to COVID, if the person had even a slight case of COVID, besides cancer.
If this is simply an action within the US, I would expect that Europe and Israel would still see a rise in cancer deaths, however.
And now that COVID seems to be receding, it will be harder to reassign cause of death to COVID.
As has been suggested… they have no problem with faking the numbers.. when necessary … remember the DOD thing… when the horrifying numbers were leaked showing an epic increase in disease and death…
They went back and changed previous years numbers brining them in line with the leaked numbers — claiming they’d made a mistake…
Imagine the power you have to have to be able to do all of this — isn’t it amazing that this can all be kept under wraps — next to no leaks… MSM completely ignores all of it.
Makes you think there’s some extremely powerful entity — that runs the world…. and those who are in the know — fear them… and/or are rewarded to look the other way.
I blame the hospital admin and all medical staff that went along with the bribes and protocols that killed millions of people in the so-called first wave (caused by new ingredients added to flu jabs).
This particular group represent the biggest case in history for NOT trusting experts or professionals ever again.
Of course, the media played their role, and the politicians, but doctors and nurses had a chance to shine and prove that the whole enterprise was a sham from the beginning.
They kept quiet and went along with all of it.
They deserve everything that’s coming to them.
Doctors are the scum of the earth, the vilest class of humans there is, even worse than lawyers or journalists.
Unfortunately, I don’t think the people will ever have the pleasure of dancing around a great bonfire that would eliminate them all, in a purgative auto da fé.

This website has a great insight into what the elders from the year 1973 knew the main document to read is entitled the may 1973 minutes of the bilderberg meeting it basically shows you the elders were very worried about oil depletion and were brainstorming ideas amongst themselves on what to do about it this is the only meeting l have been able to find with the entire minutes presented on the Internet and they have been having one every year since 1954. https://www.bibliotecapleyades.net/sociopolitica/bilderbergfile/contents.htm
Nice. No explicit mention of the artistry futurely known as the HTOE I don’t suppose. Judging by the names it looks like a meeting in the antechamber to the smoke-filled backroom of consequence.
“‘Most vaccine-resistant Covid strain ever’ – dubbed ‘XBB’ – is detected in the U.S. with three confirmed cases: Mutant strain has caused cases to double in a fortnight in Singapore” – The mutant strain is another spin-off of the Omicron variant and has been blamed for Singapore’s infection numbers doubling in the past fortnight, but deaths so far remain low

When you can’t wait around for the Bossche Mutation – you help it along – in a Boston lab!
Won’t it come as a shock if in the next couple of weeks this Death Mutation somehow gets into the community? Man oh man with those borders open this will spread at the speed of an airliner!
We’ll get our China-style lockdowns — we’ll be watching clips of dead bodies in hospital parking lots — hazmat-suited soldiers shooting dead anyone who breaks the permanent curfew — lots and lots of stories about empty supermarkets — heroic food delivery man people making their rounds (that will be crisis actors though – there won’t be food delivered)…
The PR Team is fine tuning how they introduce the rather awkward topic of the Candied Fent…

Oil Discoveries are at record lows https://assets.bwbx.io/images/users/iqjWHBFdfxIU/icbkDFACM4iA/v2/800x-1.png
According to Rystad, the current resource replacement ratio for conventional resources is only 16 percent. Only 1 barrel out of every 6 consumed is being replaced with new resources
https://oilprice.com/Energy/Energy-General/The-Biggest-Oil-Gas-Discoveries-Of-2019.html
Of course, there are huge quantities of unconventional oil (very heavy oil and fracked oil from shale) that supposedly are available as well. Unfortunately, these are expensive to extract. In many cases, the governments (especially of oil exporters) need high level of tax revenue to support the whole operation. Otherwise, governments will be overturned by the unhappy population. I remember estimates of $200 per barrel oil being needed in Venezuela to get enough tax revenue to fix the overall economy. Fixing the system is not easy.

Stockpile Fentanyl including Candied Fentanyl if you have young children … and when collapse hits and you are starving and the Angry Hungry Bad Men are bashing down your door intent on rape and cannibalism … quickly swallow handfuls of pills and disappoint them.
You might consider bashing some pills with a hammer in advance – then snorting them… that’s faster acting.
I am not sure I would recommend this. But there definitely is a real issue. What do you do, if there is no way out, and the end seems to be close at hand, regardless of what you do.
Many people in my local area handled these problems by hanging themselves. Even my previous doctor.
In 2020 a local woman set fire to herself in her car. My cousins who are local police had to clean up the mess. Then her mother hanged herself.
Then another neighbor’s relative.

How did the other the participants at the conference receive your presentation?
I thought the conference was to be mostly live. In fact, it seemed to be 100% online, except for the moderator.
Response from the audience was not very good. I figured written documentation of what I had to say would be more valuable than the actual content that was received by the audience that day.
The woman in charge of the conference clearly understood the problem. She wanted me to clearly document what the problem was, so that there would be a written record, even if the spoken conference had little direct impact.
That’s a shame. Did you have to travel to appear with the moderator for the online conference?
Everything was online. I stayed at home and spoke from home.
The other speakers were all talking about climate change and how we need to get away from fossil fuels. I expect that much of the audience was trying to find things that fit in with their preconceived notions.

The fact that this covid lie is global and there has been no significant push back… demonstrates the power of the people who are behind this.
What if this is now true?
“We’ll know our disinformation program is complete when everything the American public believes is false.” Former CIA Director William Casey.
Examples:
1. The US government was definitely complicit in 911 – yet the MSM has convinced most people that this assertion is ridiculous.
2. We have not been to the moon https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KpuKu3F0BvY
3. The Ukraine situation is not what we are being told.
4. Then of course there is Covid and the Injections …
Yet for most people — whatever the MSM has published on any of these issues — is what they think. They trust the MSM. They trust the government. But we know that the Ministry of Truth leverages that trust to play them (of course they also like to be played – they like and deman fairy tales – they can’t handle the truth).
But what if … the vast majority of what we read from MSM sources is fake? Take for instance the gas pipelines that were ‘sabotaged’. How do we know that this is real — we are relying on govts and the MSM to tell us the truth – but they lie. The Ministry of Truth has been caught out many times using crisis actors…. https://t.me/downtherabbitholewegofolks/50659
But you say surely competing governments and MSM from other countries would provide a counter narrative. Are they doing that with Covid and the Injections? Nope.
What if the world is already under the feared One World Government?
This occurred to me as I was finishing Embers of War the other day https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/41021476-embers-of-war
Vietnam won the war — but did they? I visited for the first time in 1991 — it was a godforsaken place – Saigon was bleak and grey… there was no life to the place…
But after serving some years in purgatory the commies were invited to join The Club. And join they did — I’ve got a mate with a law firm in Vietnam and business is booming. The elites are enjoying the perks of being in The Club… and it’s trickled down so everyone benefits.
Similarly with China… they went from rags to riches in a few decades (I recall in the mid 90s some of my mates who were in the trading business coming back to HK from Shanghai trips bemoaning the backwards conditions)
China joined The Club.
But who else is in The Club? It’s the best club… with the best perks … private jets… lots of $$$$… prestige … connections… I’d like to be in The Club!
Politicians are in The Club. Executives of the MSM and top presenters are in The Club. Celebrities are in The Club. Top bureaucrats are in The Club. Business leaders and senior execs – yep they are in. The top military people are in as well (notice how military generals end up in cushy jobs with defence contracts upon retirement? That’s a perk of being in The Club). Financial honchos are of course also let in.
But there are rules of membership. One never acknowledges that there is a Club. That’s a big no no. And one never questions the reason why there is a Club at all – what about democracy?
If you break the rules you will be tossed out of The Club. If you try to leak info about The Club… the MSM will handle you like they handle Mike Yeadon…. you will be ignored and left to stand on the street corner shouting nonsense about The Club.
Why push back? You are living large. You have perks. You fly private. It’s like making partner in your firm –only way better!!! You are an elite. An aristocrat. You would have to be stupid to bite that hand — and of course JFK bit … look at him.
As for democracy … does that even exist? Does anyone think the people who are running the Covid Show trust the hordes to make any significant decision? Remember these are the same fools who continued to shoot the boosters even after they were promised they’d not get Covid…
Of course not! The masses are barnyard animals … they cannot be trusted … they are so easily controlled that they MUST be controlled (TM Fast Eddy)
Democracy is a brilliant scam … they install one puppet — if things go sideways they replace him with another — that releases the steam and you get to start all over again – this time … well maybe next time if not this time … we’ll get a good administration.
Bush (WMD) had to go – in came Hope and Change (no change – more wars.. no clearing out of the lobbyists as promised… etc…) — then we got MAGA and Swamp Draining (again) … now it’s Biden (a clown for a clown world)….
And the hordes watch the opponents scream at each other on CNN… and Fox… and they scream at each other … it’s like a Dallas vs Washington football game … everyone is hollering and amped up .. over nothing… it’s meaningless
The people running the show orchestrate all of this … they are farming us… and because we are dangerous predators they need to distract us… to entertain us… and they need to fool us into believing there is democracy … because that ensures that they do not notice who is really running the show… and it allows them to relieve the pressure that might result in revolution when things go badly…
Brilliant!
Getting back to the sabotaged pipeline. Who knows what happened there – who knows if it is even sabotaged.
Putin is in The Club — he won’t say— bubbling ocean water… can anyone confirm that’s the pipe?
The entire Ukraine War thing might actually be fake — well … orchestrated… let’s say we have a situation where there is no longer enough gas to go around and that is what is causing the spike in prices in Europe … should the MSM tell the hordes hey guys – we’re f789ed… it’s only going to get worse… sorry.
NO! Of course not — let’s invent a war in Ukraine — Vlad do you mind being the villain? Sure why not… it’s for a good cause … so they orchestrate the war — and they blame the high priced gas and inflation on Putin … that sounds better — that sounds… Temporary!
Yes temporary is good – we can handle a winter shivering … Zelensky is worth it! Stand for Zelensky!
Ya him – the comedian https://www.onenewspage.com/video/20220302/14438627/Ukrainian-President-Volodymyr-Zelensky-in-gay-show.htm
I suspect that William Casey would declare mission accomplished… the vast majority of what we read is fake — and we have no way of knowing what is .. and what isn’t.
Nobody in The Club will leak anything … would you if you were in The Club? That would be dumb.
We really are just barnyard animals…. but it’s not so bad… we’ve been fed well… those of us in the first world have enjoyed tremendous prosperity.
And let’s not forget nobody actually wants the truth. Particularly when there is nothing that can be done to change it. The best course of action would be to try to get into The Club!
However.. The Club is about to burn to the ground….
Maybe the push is of self-organizing systems.
yes it is all self-organized — if FE is correct then it was inevitable that this type of organization would happen…
It’s no different than putting some yeast and sugar together… the yeast has no choice … sure some of the yeast might believe they have freedom of choice… but they don’t …
It’s all very Darwinian this self organizing thingy… the head lion had no choice.. it just happened that he’s the honcho… everyone is driven to survive and procreate… where they end up on the hierarchy is predetermined by the self organizing system…
But because they are conscious of their thought processes… they confuse the end result with choices made throughout their lives… those at the top of the hierarchy believe they are ‘great’… that they made themselves great…
Good one, Eddy.
That’s a CNN clip norm … I thought you would be impressed…
He’s wondering why there is no wreckage… just a hole (like a missile would make)
As governments, the media and the public think they can solve the oil problem with electric cars I started to look at power supplies. The gay marriages cause in Slovakia gets an unawaited boost:
https://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/radicalized-teenager-killed-two-slovakia-gay-bar-prime-minister-says-rcna52225
“BRATISLAVA, Slovakia — A “radicalized teenager” shot dead two people outside a gay bar in Slovakia’s capital, Bratislava, Prime Minister Eduard Heger said.
The gunman killed two people and wounded another near the Teplaren bar in the city center Wednesday evening, police said. The suspected attacker was found dead Thursday morning, officers added.”
Until now, it was easy for the politicians to gain votes from attacking the gays. It is not possible to do that anymore.
The conservative feature, present in the ageing societies in the notion of preserving the nation and the family, finally succumbs to the reality, be it traditional Slovakia or Japan.
I recommend that they dump him into the hard core gay wing of the super max prison…
karma?
Uh hes dead so that might be in poor taste. No pun intended.
Unfortunatelly, the gay marriages/divorces is not the problem:
There is a growing number of the people who live alone. Why you should bind with somebody, as, with your ageing, you are not able to care for yourself? Who wants an ageing person to care for? Or a person with dissabilities right from the birth?
Any of these mass protests against or pro LGBTI seem to me completely alien, as the main problem is the growing atomization of the ageing society full of genetic mutations. And the crumbling states which are not able to cope with it.
Thank you for this informative perspective. I have one question relating to your point “We can’t eat money”. Can inflation be seen as a way of “eating money” in the sense that in a high inflation environment the value is diminished as each day passes?
I am not sure that I would call inflation a way of “eating money.” It is more a way that the value of the money is diminished.
If you eat food, it is digested. It gives you some value back, namely the energy you get from food. In that way, the food energy is dissipated.
Inflation doesn’t give you anything back. Governments can get a similar effect by limiting the withdrawals you make. Or if supply lines break, you may find that the things you previously wanted to buy (such as airline tickets, refrigerators, and particular types of vehicles) are no longer available at any price.
inflation could be said to ‘eat’ a corresponding amount of a preexisting debt burden assuming the debt holder’s income is keeping up with inflation.
We will all be rich but there will be nothing to buy.
That’s what happened at the end of the Roman empire. Millions of copper coins existed but they became useless because there was no longer any economy. They appear to have simply been discarded. Too small to be worth the trouble of collecting and smelting down.
Only a very limited amount of clothing, tools, pottery etc could be made due to lack of energy (deforestation) and this was done by villagers themselves.
human wealth cannot exist without the buying power of others, it is dependent on energy input,
Bezos will cease to be wealthy when the rest of us stop playing ‘pass the parcel’
Everybody has a mobile phone nowadays: our copper coims ar buried in the ground as telephone-cables.
Maybe someday it will be worth while pulling these unused cables from the ground.
If we have a growing number of the elderly and the growing number of the children with the disabilities, it is hard to prioritize the healthcare for either of them.
Recently, one of my friends got into a very precarious situation: his elderly brother, for whom he cares, got into an accident when an autist boy opened the back door of the car while this elderly person was passing by the car on the bicycle. He fell down from the bicycle, injured his head and had to be hospitalised for several days. The mother, of this child, who was driving the car, was distressed, called my friend several times after the accident. They did not call the police, when this happened, just the ambulance. What would be the help of doing that? Who was to blame?
The number of the irrisponsible persons is growing up, not just the number of the elderly. The situation is more complicated.
Humans moved away from “survival of the best adapted” through the use of health care long ago. This is not a sustainable path.
I don’t know how we change things back, other than whatever direction our self-organizing system gives us.
it isn’t possible to change back
a barely-viable birth, or a near death granny, all become a medical focus, and a ‘good thing’ in humanitarian terms.
but in money terms they are a drain on society, but we go ahead with it anyway, because we have given ourselves no choice.
we cannot just ‘walk away’ from those needing care
Oh Norman, it’s easy for you to say that in the twilight of your dotage. But a lot of younger people who don’t have the imagination to work out that if they survive long enough they are going to become dependent on others for nursing care find it very easy to just walk away from anything smacking of responsibility to others.
not entirely sure of the point you are making Tim, (nothing odd about that)
I always thought dotage was a twilight anyway
Nothing odd about that, one or both of us may be demented. We are both senile in the traditional sense.
The essence of the point I was trying to make was that, while you state “we cannot just ‘walk away’ from those needing care”, a lot of people, most of whom are younger than us, most certainly can and do just ‘walk away’ from those who need care. This includes parents walking away from their Children, children walking away from their parents, babies being abandoned, babies in waiting being terminated because, “black livers matter” to Planned Parenthood, aged and dependent relatives being incarcerated in what have been described as “warehouse” conditions.
But then, you were using a form of the collective “we” that may imply that you were referring to “society”, which Margaret Thatcher said didn’t exist.

Well, I guess this settles the debate as far as Doug is concerned. The jabs were deadly in his case. Or else his hubris in throwing out that challenge resulted in a visit from Nemesis. Or he overdid the abominable steroids over the years. In any case, the following will be his epitaph.
“Those of you who who think the vaccine kills people can use me as a test, if I die you were right”

For those unfamiliar with Doug, this is a eulogy from a fellow bodybuilder.
What amazes me is that M Fast is a member of the community fitness centre… the instructors who teach the group classes such as spin and body pump… are off the charts fit … and every single one of them took the injections…
They were as close to as one can get to being at 0 risk from Covid. Yet they shot the garbage into themselves.
One has heart damage. Another has some sort of seizures happening. There are at most a dozen instructors… and who knows if the others have had issues that they are not announcing.
The people I talk to on a regular basis at the fitness center I use did not take the vaccines, even when threatened with losing their jobs. The threat never went through. I know that the (overweight) manager of the club I go to did get the vaccine. He became quite sick with COVID. The unvaccinated staff seemed to do better.
This is NZ — the home of the sheeple… they vote for former DJ/donkeys and they give up their weapons
Not even the one linking to the CNN clip where they state there was no plane wreckage to be found at the Pentagon 911 site?
Hi Gail,
Great article! Some real gems to be found reading it!
Have you seen Simon Michaux’s latest on YouTube? It is a very interesting and disturbing. (Link below). Your comment about the European hopes for renewables really gets a kick in the pants from him. He starts out by calculating the amount of total electricity required to replace fuels, in terms of mineral production and number of power plants needed. I think he based his numbers on replacing fossil fuels by 2050 and I’m sure that is the intended path European leadership is currently following. Also, his (conservative) estimates of minerals required versus actual global reserves, for one generation of renewables, is damning. Not just for Europe, but for all of us. And your point about stronger countries pushing out the weaker – damn! I think we are already seeing evidence for that. The political disconnect (perhaps Truss is a good example of this?) for the long term effect of sanctions on Russia compared to Europe, it seems they are doubling down on renewables and addressing climate change by reducing (removing) fossils fuels. In my opinion, when such policies hit reality, I suspect that the climate change goals will be the first casualties. I just don’t think human beings can make that sort of quick reduction in living standards. Anyways, here is the link to Simon’s YouTube:
https://youtu.be/MBVmnKuBocc
Yes, Simon Michaux does make good points. Thanks for pointing this out. He frequently quotes my writings.
Yes, I posted a link to an interview of Simon Michaux conducted by Nate Hagens, in Gail’s last post, just before comments were turned off. Gail seemed to dismiss it only because she’s not keen on the interviewer, but I’m glad she’s commented on this.
Thanks! Several links have been posted to both the audio and written version. I agree he is very good.
Gail; You are my rock star. Another great post. I loved your statement, “You can’t eat money”. why is that so difficult for society to understand? It explains why all the financial actions by governments, banks, etc, are totally meaningless in the long run. It is clear to me that the 6 letter “F” word says it all… Our FINITE World. Gail, that is clearly the BEST title for any website on the internet. That word , “Finite”, explains why mankind was doomed the day we went from being hunter-gatherers and charged from the stone age into the bronze age. Our future was set. NO MATTER what we do, or what actions we take, every thing will EVENTUALLY run out. The best conservation plans merely delay the day of collapse by ten, twenty, fifty years? We can get all concerned about inflation, quantitative easing, interest rates, pipelines, communism, socialism, capitalism, college debt forgiveness, and so much other stuff. Our future is set. It doesn’t matter what we do. There is only so much oil, natural gas, coal, Uranium, copper, iron, lead, Lithium, all the various rare earth minerals, and so on! Everything eventually is gone. Sad but true. I know it’s hard to believe everything won’t be like it always has been. The next time you are stopped at a red light, or in a traffic jam on the freeway, look around at the people in all the other fossil fuel dependent vehicles. (Yes, that includes Teslas and hybrids also) They are totally unaware that their lifestyle has only five or ten years left, at most, and terrible times are ahead of us. And, please don’t post a reply about going to the moon or mars and living there. How can anyone seriously believe that? Since we are on that space topic. Know that more than likely, we are probably the most advanced life-form in the universe. Yes, it’s true. But even so, that doesn’t help us in the long run. After a relatively brief time at our recent advanced industrial revolution peak, we are headed back into the stone age when the stuff runs out. And, by the way, this scenario would also apply to other advanced civilizations anywhere out there in the universe. The laws of physics are universal.
Thinking about the future of mankind makes one sad. In the meantime we can still enjoy the company and companionship of our family and friends.
It is hard to understand. Humans may be the only intelligent life form in the universe. Perhaps there really is life after death, if the system has been set up as a one-time through system for humans, before resources fall short. There are a lot of things we don’t understand for certain. Clearly, the laws of physics were set in motion somehow. All we can do is partially figure out how the system works, not fix it or change it.
Remember that vax injured guy who died and brought back to life? He said he no longer feared death cuz there was something more.
I don’t think it’s clear that the laws of physics was set in motion somehow. All we know is what we can determine here and now. We think we know that there was a point of rapid expansion 13.5 billion years ago but there is nothing at all to say that the laws of physics that we think we know started (they may always have existed). As for life after death, there has never been anything other than anecdotal evidence for that hypothesis; as far as we know, we are simply an interesting collection of atoms.
But, yes, humans may be the only intelligent life form in the universe (though the definition of “intelligence” may be debatable).
A cockroach is an interesting collection of atoms but most people step on them as soon as they see one.
From a certain perspective (not even that far up) ALL human activity, all of our history, our civilisations and achievements are simply some fuzzy growth covering a dirtball, offgassing at times.
Higher up still… and we simply don’t exist to casual passers by.
The Elders see us as cockroaches.
The MSM and the PR Team have done a stellar job delivering fairy tales to the MORE-ONS…

nothing else to contribute eddy?
As someone said the other day—nothing but vitriol
god help your RL
I have been wondering if Fast Eddy is even a real person. He could be a bot. No-one could read everything that Fast Eddy posts (in a day) and still have a job and life.
If he is a real person, he is in competition with Siouxsie Wiles for who can be the most annoying New Zealander
FE has been on this board for a long time. While AI has come a long way FE displays some very human characteristics. He is wealthy having in his previous incarnations indulged in some world hopping doomsday prepping activities. Like a recovered alcoholic who hates drunks FE hates doomsday preppers as he was once a world class doomsday prepper. He doesnt have to work and his cyber activities are one of his hobbys. FE is kind of like a Kardashian of the OFW indulging in lifestyles we can not afford and bizaare behavior that we dont dare. Appreciating his contribution for me came after quite a few years of exposure. You just never know what he is going to say next! Personally I think he has decent- if not perfect- understanding of what is appropriate. Like a hockey player he sometimes expresses himself in a manner not at all acceptable in society. Recently he has been more kind to Norm and I myself appreciate his new found civility. IMO generally when he gets on peoples nerves is because he strikes a chord of something they see but dont want to see in themselves. If you see truth in OFW and express that in your personal life you will experience the very same reactions people have to FE! Amazingly FE and Norms views of the world are pretty much the same on energy issues. Humans seem to be able to dislike those who are very close to themself but just a tiny bit different. Silly humans!
My main issue is that I would like to read the comments here at OFW. Every time I try, all I see is screeds of spam from FE, and I think, “never mind, I’ll go somewhere else”.
He detracts from the blog and is a nuisance.
Like a broken a clock is right twice a day, it shouldn’t be surprising that occasionally he may post something useful. But all the rest of the time, no. He clearly has no discernment. He has no respect for other people’s time or patience.
Agree with monk, which is why myself and I assume a lot of others don’t bother posting.
Gail comes out with another very relevant take on our poor situation that deserves discussing, yet it is pointless while all the threads are spread out over pages with FE spam.
@banned, FE lived with over 500 people within a short distance of his property. That is not being a prepper, he just thought it was.
is very much to the detriment of this blog. I’m surprised that Gail doesn’t see it and request conversations on Covid, vaccines and consp.iracies to go elsewhere, like she did with Klimate Khange a few years ago.
Oh I see .. FE has offended the Preppers…
The ones who live next to spent fuel ponds… the ones who refuse to take The Fast Eddy Challenge… the ones who think the mob will not come to where the food is and rip their faces off.
This is the sort of thing that people who are confronted with the truth do – they lash out in anger… they demand censorship.
You know – I know – we all know — it is very easy to censor FE – it’s called Search > Delete.
But that’s not good enough for you — you want even those who are in the FE Fan Club to be denied their daily enjoyment… nobody can be allowed to see the truth.
Without the pricking alerts of FE (and four or five other gadflies here) OFW’s comment section would seriously risk become more dull and drowsy than a congress of monks.
I completely disagree
Let me guess – you are a big fan of communism.
And that’s carried over to OFW … you are incapable of posting anything meaningful or insightful on OFW… and you begrudge The Great Fast Eddy who pumps out world class content On Demand day after day — year after year.
This leaves you feeling envious… and worthless… so you have this need to try to destroy The Great Fast Eddy through censorship… you demand that someone do something to stop The Great Fast Eddy…
Then you insist once FE no longer posts OFW will be a better place. But you won’t stop with FE — you will then demand other core members be censored … cuz that’s the way commies operate….
They seek to destroy the capable — until all that remains are the imbeciles… the lazy… the useless… who then pat themselves on the back proclaiming how brilliant they are….
We see you monk. We see you. Commie!!!
You poor thing!
See the search field at the top – type in Fast Eddy – every comment on OFW involving HIM will appear… delete them..
And remain forever in ignorance and delusion
“Every time I try, all I see is screeds of spam from FE, and I think, “never mind, I’ll go somewhere else”.
I support your decision! Seeing as its MULTIPLE SCREEDS! The horror!
you must think of eddy like the man in market square on his soapbox, ranting there every day.
folks with better things to do hurry on by and leave him to it
I read the comments through my email program, using the comment feed. I have set up a filter that diverts all comments from certain people to the trash. That way, I don’t have to even glance at FE’s comments. Oddly, my email program seems to get rid of most of FE’s comments without using my defined filter (i.e. they don’t even make the trash but are completely ignored). Whether that’s just a fortunate side-effect of a bug I don’t know but I’m quite happy with it.
That’s a good idea. I might try and set something like that up for myself.
However Fast Eddy could become F.ast E.ddy and defeat this …
But HE won’t override your force field that preserves your delusional world
FE does not hate doomies.. quite the opposite… HE tries to stop them from making the same mistakes HE made… all that wasted $$$ and time… makes HIM sick to think about it…
As for norm … well norm is on borrowed time … he insists on injecting the dog shit despite all the evidence that they are useless and dangerous… He’s losing his mind bit by bit… we need to accept that norm simply cannot understand… and give him a bit of a break sometimes.
FE would not beat a re tar ded child to death (but HE may give it a kick in the ass) because it squatted in the corner and took a dump at a dinner party.
lol banned, really interesting observation there. I enjoyed it because its someone else’s take on the OFW interplay.
Yes, eddy and I have the same end-view of the energy game. (we’re screwed).
Where we differ is the reaction to (inevitable) disagreements on other subjects. Lots of OFW disagree with me. So what? That is their right. I don’t have tantrums about it. A few seem to agree. Kindness or otherwise doesn’t come into it.
Personally I follow Kipling’s ‘If’ philosophy. (google it).
Impossible to be insulted by someone where I have to correct the English grammar and spelling of the insult itself. (Eye rolling time)
Or where the insult itself is propped up by sexual innuendo. Childish. You may have noticed that anyone (not just me) who disagrees with eddy must be sexually deviant. Makes you think?.
I have offered no opinion either way on vaxxing. That puts me in line of succession to King Herod. Even more weird. And amusing
Neither can I take seriously anyone who decries literally every world event as a conspiracy. School shootings? Crisis actors. Ukrainian war? Crisis actors. Covid? Faked. and on and on.
It is a form of attention seeking. Why, you must judge for yourself.
You may have noticed (hard to tell) that my comments on the above are invariably reactive, never proactive.
Having exposed one or two episodes as fantasies, makes me doubt everything else. I have a RL acquaintance with the same problem. A compulsive BS merchant, can’t be relied on to tell the truth about anything at all.
He gets momentary attention by trotting out fantastical tales. Ultimately harmless. He believes what he says at the moment he says it.
We are tired of you endlessly responding to Fast Eddy. If you showed no reaction, he would get tired of his silliness.
And I’ve tried the ignoring thing too Gail—a long time ago, the attention seeking problem persists. No idea why
Must be the spike protein that’s crossed the blood brain barrier that is making it impossible to not respond with another bad Attenborough joke…
Really strange… maybe you’ve always harboured a broke bike type thing for David — he’s around your age isn’t he? And you’ve forced those passions into a dark recess and refused to acknowledge them … but now the spike is causing a Tourette’s like reaction … and all you can talk about is your dear Dave?
And while you are at it norm … if you’d just answer the questions from Fast Eddy CTG Xabier Tim and others … I betcha nobody would make fun of you.
And your attempts at humour (David Attenborough???) are falling flat hahaha… the pathetic nature of them is about the only half amusing being produced by the spike infused geriatric cranium… it’s like — norm’s had another booster — let’s see what sort of drivel leaks out of him onto OFW this week.
NOF.. (nasty old fool) — that was a good one!
Norman. You have been asked now by our very tolerant and gracious host to stop with your “eddywar”. All other issues aside do you respect Gail? Our host has clearly comunicated that your obsession detracts from this forum. Its actually not the first time. If you continue with your “eddywar” you demonstrate your respect for Gail is a pretense you operate off of purely selfish motives and obsession. Now we see what you are made of. This is a pivotal moment where your essence is demonstrated. Do you have enough respect for OFW and Gail to put your petty “eddywar” aside? You determine your standing in this matter no one else. Do you value yourself and your contribution enough to exist as a contributor on this forum without “eddywar” or are you a selfish petty creature self defining yourself only by your obsessions measure?
If you refer to the Pfizer dump page 3,276 — two thirds down the page of the 17,898,765 side effects… Pfizer reports that the boosted trial subjects that were still alive after the 5th, exhibited paranoia, delusion, and severe… Mental Illness… that were untreatable… and often manifested themselves in incoherent thoughts coupled with an incessant demand for censorship of all facts and logic….
I’ve asked Dr Fast Eddy (PHD psychiatry) what HE thinks is going on … and HE says — the Boosters have super saturated the cerebellum and the CovIDIOTS have transitioned to the DelusiSTAN Matrix… they effectively are living full time in DelusiSTAN… they are completely out of touch with reality …
And anyone attempting to impose reality on them (using facts and logic) must be censored.
Fast Eddy is unsure what will happen if they continue to be exposed to reality given the calls for censorship are falling on deaf ears. We are in uncharted waters.
@Gail you are actually tolerating FE being abusive. And then blaming Norman for calling it out. That’s poor form. The only person to blame for FE’s behaviour is FE
And the only one to blame for Fast Eddy’s Greatness…. is…. Fast Eddy!
Come grace us with your presence FE — don’t be so humble…
Heads to the floor — lower! lower!!!

I was on my bike for 90 minutes — I’ve started listening to audible while biking … killing multiple birds… did a bit in the garden … pumped out some stuff on Substack… might pop into the gents club later – I heard that Greta Thunberg is the feature girl this week (yes she’s been dumped because she is a re tar de MORE-ON … this is now her life)… just to see.
norm – still not answering questions…
How is Super Snatch?
Guys…. remember what I have written here for the past few articles of Gail? At the beginning, perhaps within 1-2 days of posting of a new article, there will be, like clockwork someone commenting on FE’s regular post or spamming.
Man… it is so robotic. perhaps we can use it as a clock.
The administrators of the Club are just pissed off that we’ve formed our own Club… and they don’t like Fast Eddy playing the role of the Elders. So they try to disrupt us with their trolls.
We don’t need their shitty Club — we got a better Club!
UKRAINE WAR – I am building a library of clips demonstrating that this war has been orchestrated and is to a great extent fake – the purpose of faking it is to convince the MORE-ONS that their massive energy bills and out of control inflation – is temporary – Putin caused it. And things will return to normal once the war ends.

Excellent
Last I checked miles mathis still hasn’t done a piece on Tulsi Gabbard. Things that provisionally make you go hmmm.
Maybe he thinks she is not that important yet?
This is indeed a great theory, Fast. It is certainly called for, as everyone here on OFW knows. A smokescreen is a genuine tactic. The war would be one though whether real or fake. What is looking like an increasing fake is Nuclear Weapons. One can’t prove a negative, however, so I won’t try. To anyone watching the war on a daily basis one thing is clear…. conventional trench war is the order of the day! oh… plus drones.
Hey FE, in your “travels” around the Internet, did you find out what happened a place called “Panama”? Remember the place where it was at Mad Max level and then somehow magically, poof… it is gone…
It the great paradox. We are at a time where things are unraveling like two kittens in the yarn basket! yet …
I like Mike Adams. I even listen to one or two of his daily podcasts each month. According to one of his podcasts this summer we were supposed to be experiencing a great truck motor oil shortage some time ago (late august) . All trucks stopped truck oil apocalypse! Yet trucks are rolling. 15-40w on the shelves…
I guess inflation went away … petrol became cheap … the govt listened to the protesters
Miracles do happen
This UKR war is so useful and necessary that if it weren’t real, it would have to be invented the same, like the plandemic. Otherwise, how to justify to the masses the inevitable degrowth/austerity? And if rationing (or demand destruction) was the chosen path, there’s no better way to impose it than a war.
The beauty of it, in a digital age, is that war doesn’t even have to be real real to be effective. ( “Wag the Dog” is a documentary, right?)
https://www.channelfutures.com/files/2017/08/100-Percent-877×432.jpg
FE, on this point, in my view, you are partially on the right side.
There was surely in the first part of the war an attempt by the West to create a great show in order to have support from the ‘Nato’ people.
And there is surely also now.
That in order to convince people to give their money to support Ukranians for weapons and all what they need and to convince them to make big sacrifices to support Ukraine.
Because, otherwise, it would be completely stupid (and it is) to give money to someone else when one is about to die (for instance, Europe itself) and when one is not directly affected and – on the contrary – in case one wants to be involved the consequence is losing own basic resources (i.e. Europeans losing gas from pipelines).
But the war is real and people are dying.
Yes some people are being sacrificed… the barnyard animals are gullible so there needs to be some actual death or they might see through it.
Also consider how important this particular con is — without it the barnyard animals work out that The Inflation ain’t temporary — and things might unravel as they fall into despair and panic.
Have you ever seen so many celebrities called upon to support a Con before? I haven’t…. this is a crucial Con… and what do the Elders care? They admit to murdering 500k children in Iraq… so what’s a a few thousand in Ukelele?
We are fodder… nothing more… and to boot – they know were are all going to die soon anyway….
Remember – they are about to mandate the Covid Injections into the childhood vaccine schedule… they injected pregnant mothers causing all sorts of misery and deformities…
Whatever it takes… means whatever it takes… they must convince the barnyard animals that Putin is the cause of their woes….
Think of the Club … notice how they share their energy — notice those big ships laden with frozen LPG are sent to Europe? Notice how Russian energy is still making it to market despite ‘boycotts’… it’s all theatre — the Club members know that if one branch is starved — the Club will end….
I follow some Russian Telegram accounts to get a rounded view of what is happening. Unfortunately, the death and destruction being meted out by both sides is very real. For sure there is some propaganda and fakery on both sides, but the war is very real, as is the destruction. Waste of life and waste of resources in my view, not dissimilar to WWI
To be sure, neil. I’m curious about details regarding how the Ukrainian grid is maintaining the nuclear power industry given the reports about a large fraction of the power stations going offline. Baseline assumption being that there must have been some correspondence between Ukraine and Russia regarding which power stations to spare. Still, the grid must be relatively decentralized to withstand that much purported abuse and still be able to feed the nuclear beast. I don’t know how grids are set-up.
As I understand it, the Russians will not attack the Ukrainian nuclear plants with missiles as this would be barbaric. It would give Putin another bad nickname.
In June, Al Jazeera produced the following factoids:
In 2021, more than half (55.5 percent) of Ukraine’s electricity was produced with nuclear power, followed by coal (23.6 percent), hydropower (6.7 percent) and gas (6.6 percent).
Ukraine has 16 nuclear reactors across four nuclear power plants (NPPs). Zaporizhzhia accounts for nearly half of the total electricity generated by Ukraine’s NPPs and one-fifth (20 percent) of its annual electricity production.
https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2022/9/4/infographic-ukraines-zaporizhzhia-nuclear-power-plant
With Zaporizhzhia presently under Russian control, Ukraine’s remaining NPPs have the capability to produce the equivalent of about 25 to 30% of the country’s 2021 electricity production.
If Russia wants to stop that, it would probably go for power lines and transformers, leaving the nuclear plants alone. On the other hand, for humanitarian considerations, Russia might decide to leave the bulk of the distribution network in place, and only try to knock out power in parts of the country where it was directly benefitting military operations.
In some sense, Ukraine has a relatively low-carbon electricity mix. With all of that nuclear, it is not as exposed to issue of inadequate natural gas supply as the rest of Europe, at least with respect to electricity. I don’t know about other uses of natural gas, such as for industry or home heating in Ukraine.
Thanks Tim. What I’m getting at though is that the nuke power plants are grid-dependent so I’m wondering how they’re avoiding disrupting that dependency.
Comments under this video of javelin attacks on Russian tanks say it’s all fake, CGI, video game clips.
The way the camera zooms in and out and pans perfectly does appear to suggest that…

As far as I am inclined to think the benefit is and has always been nil. The majority of severe outcomes or deaths resulting from infection, just like all cancers, should be seen as immune failure. Remove the biggest danger, and the immune system just “crashes” on the next-biggest danger. It is the same way as if you fix a “bad intersection” in a village you can still end up with the same number of crashes – the people who weren’t paying enough attention in the bad intersection are still going to eventually crash somewhere else. Of course I could be totally wrong about that. Like Prasad says, we really know nothing at all about the big picture.

Honestly you are so right. The comments section at OFW could actually be a good place if it wasn’t for Eddy.
That happened a couple of years ago … and OFW resembled an online version of The Road…
When it comes to FE – more is better. More… is Better. MORE >> IS >>> BETTER
Repeat after me ‘Please Fast Eddy – can we have some more’
Why since you ask … of course you can…

You knowingly decide to be obnoxious. You exhibit extreme narcissistic and grandiose behaviours. Do you have a personality disorder?
Let me be very clear – you are ruining this blog’s comment section. It is nothing to do with your beliefs, it is the way you conduct yourself.
more tea, vicar?
If you had a 1500 horse power IQ you’d come across as obnoxious (and grandiose!) too…
M Fast does think it’s a big much that I’ve purchased the Queen’s crown and demand that everyone kneel in my presence — she just tells me to piss off… it was for sale on Amazon last week — got a deal cuz she’s dead and doesn’t need it…
You don’t know what it’s like to be surrounded by barnyard animals — everywhere I go — grocery store… pub… my only respite is with The Core here on OFW… if you were in the core — you’d know… norm doesnt know either
The frustrations that FE has to deal with are impossible for most people to understand… do you know what it’s like knowing – before you even speak to someone — that they are of profoundly inferior intellect? There are only at most a dozen out of 8/B that are not barnyard animals so what are the odds…
How’d you like to go about your days being forced to communicate with MORE-ONS?
FE tries to limit his interactions and stay away from any topic that does not involve a temperature or a sports score… but it’s tough…
Let me know if you want to borrow a few hundred of my points — so you can get a taste of what it’s like to be Fast Eddy.

I’ve got something to say.
Has anyone here come across the Auditing Movement on YouTube?
Am I the first to note it?
I rely on OFW as a ‘you heard it here first, folks’ site.
Check it out and provide some feedback because this is big.
Don’t ask me for links. Many youtube channels now have the word ‘audit’ in their name and many others just do auditing. Once you’ve found one you’ll find many more.
What’s it about? A giant pushback to everything.
Why would you comment something that has nothing to do with the previous comments? You should start a new thread for this topic
We do whatever we want on OFW… there are no rules.
cept that anyone who doesn’t follow eddys rules is a child molester
Quite often that is unfortunately the case.
norm supports that… he only wants the MSM narratives… the ones from the Ministry of Truth…
That is understandable when one does not have the processing power to be able to deal with differing points of view (too much spike in the brain)
I thank Fast Eddy for all the news he brought here about Covid and experimental jabs during pandemic.
He made a great work for me to understand the situation.
And, of course, with him many other people.
First of all Gail, of course.
‘Ça va sans dire’ he makes a lot of comments, but Fast Eddy is like that: take him or leave him.
But I personally also think that, being all hosts here and Gail the owner, we are not properly in the position to say what is to be published and what not, what has the right to be here and what not.
If one doesn’t like something, I think that one should only skip to another comment and give a contribute if one thinks to have a contribute.

All very interesting if you believe there actually are laws, that elected officials rule the country and that citizens have rights, none of which I believe.
CANCER & COVID-19 vaccines: are the COVID vaccines causing a sharp rise in cancers and how bad can it get? The COVID vaccine is deranging the immune system, April 2021 week 14 is the INFLECTION point
Look at the top graph; what happened globally especially in western nations, from February March 2021? The COVID vaccine was rolled out! Hugh Akston, Ethical Skeptic, Mercola, Brown hone in
Cancer specialists are now reporting that a significant number of their cancer patients who have been in remission for many years are now faced with massive unchecked and uncontrollable growth of cancer and dramatic metastasis soon after their COVID jab. A strong temporal relationship is being seen and reported. Bottom line is that we are seeing cancers that are returning with a ravaging vengeance and we are seeing a link right after the COVID vaccine.

And…. block your ears…. 3-2-1… BOOM! (VAIDS!!!)
My insider just emailed me the following:
I know you focus on the big picture, but sometimes reading a local take on things makes people start to think about what is also probably starting to happen in their own community. This one’s an eye opener!!
I currently live in San Diego so I see the local news here. Just saw this today on the local TV and in the SD Union Tribune paper.
One high school (Patrick Henry) is reporting about 1000 students out sick with flu symptoms on Wednesday out of a total student body of 2600. That’s over 38% out ill. It is the week after homecoming, but more students were out sick on Wednesday than on Monday.
Now a second local high school (Del Norte) is reporting 300 students out of an approximate 2500 student body also out with flu symptoms. A person at Rady Children’s Hospital said he’s been there for 34 years and never seen this kind of volume of flu patients coming in for treatment in October.
The county tracks its flu season starting on July 1st each year. So far they have confirmed just 1000 cases, But, 304 of those cases are from their most recently available week of tracking. This compares to a 5 year usual average weekly rate of just 22 cases for this time of year. So, it looks like the huge flu season we’ve all been expecting and predicting would arrive earlier than usual has done just that, at least in San Diego. Coincidentally, San Diego was one of the most aggressive school districts in the nation in REQUIRING students get vaccinated….perhaps Vaccine damaged immune systems? Of course the experts are blaming it on last years’ lockdowns limiting exposure and thus limiting natural immunity to common viruses. You be the judge.
Keep in mind, these are relatively healthy, young high school aged students getting sick. Wait until the weather gets worse forcing people to stay primarily together indoors where this can begin spreading to the less healthy and elderly.

How the surging U.S. dollar is making it almost impossible to afford anything in countries around the world
The dollar is up 18% this year and last month hit a 20-year high, according to the benchmark ICE U.S. Dollar Index, which measures the dollar against a basket of key currencies.
BY PAUL WISEMAN , KELVIN CHAN , SAMY MAGDY , AYSE WIETING , AND THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

rising dollar is causing pain overseas in a number of ways:
— It makes other countries’ imports more expensive, adding to existing inflationary pressures.
— It squeezes companies, consumers and governments that borrowed in dollars. That’s because more local currency is needed to convert into dollars when making loan payments.
— It forces central banks in other countries to raise interest rates to try and prop up their currencies and keep money from fleeing their borders. But those higher rates also weaken economic growth and drive up unemployment.
Put simply: “The dollar’s appreciation is bad news for the global economy,’’ says Capital Economics’ Ariane Curtis. “It is another reason why we expect the global economy to fall into recession next year.’’
In a gritty neighborhood of Nairobi known for fixing cars and selling auto parts, businesses are struggling and customers unhappy. With the Kenyan shilling down 6% this year, the cost of fuel and imported spare parts is soaring so much that some people are choosing to ditch their cars and take public transportation.
“This has been the worst,” said Michael Gachie, purchasing manager with Shamas Auto Parts. “Customers are complaining a lot.’’
I can believe a surging dollar is a huge problem around the world.
My boss used to say “Don’t come to me with your problem; come with your solution”. Gail, with your expertise, please start looking for solutions. I think it’s a world without growth and perhaps learning to live with a reducing population just to start.
the world is running on empty
we are pretending that it isn’t (that’s called debt btw)
We’d all love a solution
I had a boss kind of like yours, except, when we would tell him there was a problem, he’d always say, “PROBLEM!? or OPPORTUNITY?”
Gail does the analysis. It’s up to each individual to figure out the response that’s appropriate for them (there are no “solutions”).
Or maybe Schwab and FE are right, and the solution is that we will be forced to take the next-gen jabs and be reduced to owning nothing. It’s a solution, of a sort. Does that make you feel better?
The CDC is on the verge of mandating a yearly covid jab for children, it seems: https://tobyrogers.substack.com/p/the-iatrogenocide-accelerates
There are no solutions (given that a solution fixes the problem completely). Any sensible approaches won’t be acceptable to the majority of humans. However, maybe someone can come up with something that people and governments will get behind. I’m not holding my breath.
problem is Mike—that everyone is a knowitall
(think OFW writ large)
I don’t exclude myself from that–we all suffer from it to a greater or lesser degree, the trouble starts when knowitalls get into positions of power.
The “solution” is already being implemented and we are living in it and reading and talking about it and shaking our heads about it every day.
Reduction of Western consumption. This involves the general impoverishment and social deconstruction of the West, changing expectations of high living standards of local populations, changing (degrading) capabilities of local populations, splintering societies along racial, sexual and generational lines to prevent the organization of mass resistance to the program, deindustrialization, and anti-natalism.
The basic tools include mass third world immigration, the destruction of national identities and family life, porn and the pornification of Western society, spreading drug use legal and illegal, pseudo-environmentalism as a cover for deindustrialization (impossible plans for electric cars, solar, windmills), the refusal of the State to deal with criminal behaviors (rampant black crime, shoplifting flash mobs, public drug-taking, defecation, panhandling, decriminalizing shoplifting under $900 of value), the refusal of the media to truthfully report on crime, the obvious fraud of elections everywhere, the utter stupidification of Western society and the lowering of educational standards to a point where young people come out stupider than when they went in. These are all just parts of the general scheme of demoralization, not to mention encouraging dependency on the State, and the arbitrary and apparently irrational behavior of leaders and the powerful people and organizations. All of these things are means to create a widespread mentality of hopelessness, pessimism, learned helplessness and the acceptance of the unappealable authority of irrationality in our lives.
And we can’t say it isn’t working.
Does this not describe everything we are seeing?
Silly stories about AGW and “we only have five more years to save the earth”. Shutting down nuclear and coal. Then cutting off your imported sources of fuels. Shutting down farming in the Netherlands bcs they use fertilizers. Ridiculous, utterly impossible “plans” for a green economy inside 10 years. Mass immigration to import and put on welfare millions of the most dysfunctional people in the world. Health ministers who are bloated and obese. Military leaders who are crossdressers. A president who has Alzheimers. A president of WHO who has no scientific background and was a senior figure in an African terrorist organization. This terrorist demands we all be vaccinated with untested experimental drugs to combat a virus with a 0.002% fatality rate. Absurd social distancing rules which the proles must obey but not the leaders. Teen Vogue – its market, 13 year old girls – with a special issue on how to prepare your rectum for anal intercourse, schools encouraging children to change sexual identity, teens “consenting” to puberty blockers without parental knowledge, every movie, comic book or tv show with heroes primarily defined by their obsession with their genital behaviors.
So the first step of the solution, you see, is to shut down the West spiritually and socially and intellectually and then industrially. Haven’t you noticed? It has been a long process but it has certainly picked up speed lately.
Is this the kind of solution you had in mind?
Kim, yes, you detail it well.
10+ years ago I was discussing the energy situation with a MORE-ON … and suggested we were on borrowed time
He informed me that ‘they’ would never allow the global economy to collapse. He offered no explanation as to how ‘they’ would solve the problem (I am sure the Romans preferred to not collapse…)
He as actually correct… what they have done is injected billions with the solution … they will pre-empt collapse by killing everyone with Demon Covid.

Nuclear power ‘could’ be a solution. But for it to provide cheap energy, we need reactors that can be built quickly, with low capital cost. That means less red tape, modular reactor designs, economies of scale and a trained workforce. Western governments just don’t seem to be able to do this. I’m not sure why.
We also need lots of cement and imported processed uranium. The whole process takes many years. In the state of Georgia, the new nuclear reactor that is going online in the first quarter of 2023 has been paid for, for many years, by those who will eventually benefit from the nuclear reactor. In order for this type of funding to be used, it is necessary to have “utility” type pricing, not “competitive pricing.”
Without a funding source, and a way of obtaining fuel after the reactor is in place, the idea can’t work.
Cuz there is no point:

Thanks for this great new article.
At the moment, there is more and more talk that we still have significant gas reserves in Germany that could be extracted using fracking.
Supposedly for 20 or 30 years.
However, I have my doubts. Of course it makes sense to extract domestic resources now, but whether the quantities are really that large and at what cost they can be extracted?
It may be true, but you can’t put any faith into the claims of your officials one way or the other. Habeck left Qatar (or maybe it was UAE) claiming he had secured an oil deal, only for Qatar to say they have no idea what he’s talking about within a few hours.
Yes, our politicians are absolute clowns. We can forget about them, but they are somewhat clever people who point out that this gas can be extracted. And of course, all nuclear power plants must continue to run or be reactivated.
You can talk till the end of the world and not get a single ounce of the fracked oil
Both Denmark & the Netherlands have conventional natural gas remaining. I understand Denmark decided to leave its gas in the ground and the Netherlands restricted extraction from the huge Groningen field – discovered 60 years ago – because it causes minor earthquakes.
In extremis, these both seem less bad than fracking .
I highly doubt Denmark ‘decided to leave its gas in the ground’.
If there is economically viable gas it gets used.
The Club members would not allow this. Someone would get Saddammed
This is an article from 2016 about Germany’s supposed natural gas potential.
https://www.shale-gas-information-platform.org/areas/the-debate/shale-gas-in-germany-the-current-status.html
According to it:
In order to get to 20 years of natural gas output, it looks to me as if the upper end of this very wide range would need to be available.
This is another article from 2020 on the subject.
https://energytransition.org/2020/07/fracking-in-germany-truly-banned-allowed-a-little-or-even-soon-back-in-vogue/
It suggests that 10 years of reserves might be available.
It points out a concern that the water used for fracking would compete with the water needed for agricultural use.
I suspect that part of the problem is that homeowners in Germany (and most other other places outside the US) would not get any benefit from someone fracking underneath their homes and streets for natural gas. In the US, citizens can make money from selling the natural gas under their homes.
Without the profit motive, and without the government demanding that everyone move out of the way for fracked natural gas, it may be that the natural gas available by fracking in Germany will stay underground.
You might look around for more information. If a country is starved for fuel, sometimes it will suddenly start following up on things like tight gas from shale formations.
Does shale work only if it is averaged out with low cost conventional oil? And even then .. the CBs need to battle the head wind with massive stimulus including ultra low interest rates…
Clearly a high ratio of shale would overwhelm BAU and poison her…
Since 2005 conventional has been depleting so the ratio has been worsening every year since…
I do not think adding more expensive shale to compensate for depletion would help… otherwise it would be happening.
Instead we have moved on to the Boston Killer Mutation.
Thank you Gail, I would be interested to know who the other talkers were at this Conference? And who were the listeners? Do you feel you have been understood? most people don’t like to be lectured on realism, I’d be surprised if this talk had any effect, but who knows?
The other talkers were very academic. They were primarily concerned about climate change and about fancy models about how the system could be changed.
When I discovered that the conference was all on-line, I tried to look at the list of listeners. Some of them were designated by first name only. As with a lot of online conferences, the audience was not very involved. I am wondering if those who actually decided to view the conference were mostly faculty members at universities and people in climate change research. I don’t really know, however.
I didn’t really have long enough to discuss things at length. The woman in charge (Pascale Junker) seemed to have read a lot of my things, before I was asked to speak. She was interested in having the presentation itself well documented, so that there would be a written record after the fact.
I had decided to write up the presentation. I added more links to the text, so it really would be well documented and sent it to the conference organizers.
Gail, do you have a long-term supply forecast for the various energy sources? I’m wondering when it becomes both disturbing and so obvious that it’s general knowledge.
Everything fails together. It has practically nothing to do with the amount that is theoretically recoverable. Perhaps different areas fail at different times, such as Europe. All of the work on “reserves” tells us close to nothing. It has to do with keeping the price up high enough that extraction makes sense to producers.
We cannot expect electricity to last any longer than anything else. In many places, electricity is already very intermittent.
The true reason for collapse will never be general knowledge anymore than it is now or it was when Sumeria was finally circling the toilet bowl.
https://www.statista.com/statistics/238610/projected-world-electricity-generation-by-energy-source/
But a real analyst would be preferable
More a comment to your last post, but the island of Bornholm(it is situated next to where the gas lines were bombed) had a power outage, and people wondered why they couldn’t run on wind and solar, to which the energy company said
“it can’t be done. The power isn’t stable enough”
https://ekstrabladet.dk/nationen/oev-kan-ikke-lade-sig-goere/9463898
My impression is that the problem is that the inverter needs a steady source of electricity supply. There may be other parts of the system related to the grid stability that need a steady source of electricity supply as well.
If the electric grid is already pretty unstable, add more unstable electricity would likely push it further that that way.
I also know that wind and solar don’t have enough (or perhaps any “inertia.”) As a result, they can’t be too high a percentage of the grid electricity. I don’t know what percentage that is.
If someone else is more knowledgeable on the subject, I would like to hear their answers.
Garrettl, et al. has performed the work clarifying the relationship of money to energy in the form of GDP [1]. I assure you that outside of this paper, economists do not understand energy and money at all. In fact, mainstream economists do not understand money, either. This is why, for instance, the Bank of England published their paper on how money is created [2]. Mainstream economics still teaches, 8 years later, that banks are simply intermediators of money, taking in deposits, and loaning them out, but this is not what happens. All money is debt in the modern world, and as money is paid back, the principal is destroyed—it disappears. Thus, the modern world’s monetary system creates money on demand for real-economy efforts, and must continually create more money with loans. In this way, the monetary system has some relationship to energy, and Garrett figured out that if you pull out inflation, money = energy expenditure. So energy is, by far, primary to any economy.
1. Garrett, T.J., Grasselli, M.R, Keen, S. (2022) Lotka’s wheel and the long arm of history: how does the distant past determine today’s global rate of energy consumption? Earth Syst. Dynam., 13, 1021–1028, https://doi.org/10.5194/esd-13-1021-2022
2. Michael McLeay, Amar Radia and Ryland Thomas (2014) Money creation in the modern economy. Bank of England Monetary Analysis Directorate. https://www.bankofengland.co.uk/quarterly-bulletin/2014/q1/money-creation-in-the-modern-economy
“So energy is, by far, primary to any economy.”
Structural SURPLUSES of energy are what make an economy possible in the first place. That’s beyond “primary.” To an economy, structural surpluses are the Alpha and the Omega.
The Alpha was centralized grain storage.
An economy needs surpluses of grain, in order to survive adverse fluctuations in weather. It also needs energy surpluses, if cities are to grow, and if non-agricltural investments are to be made.
An economy needs energy surpluses, so that governments can tax companies, especially energy companies, and redistribute the profits for the rest of the economy, as infrastructure paid for by energy surpluses. Businesses need surpluses, for reinvestment in their companies. Apart from these kinds of surpluses, I don’t see much point in a calculated “surplus energy,” based on an EROEI calculation. Workers in the energy economy contribute to the overall economy, just like any other workers.
Also, nearly always, the energy used in making energy is of a different kind that the output energy. Electricity nearly always is the result of a process that dissipates part of the available energy. By definition, it would seem to be in an energy deficit.
Any type of energy that needs a government subsidy does not produce surplus energy, in my view.
we could perhaps think of a grain-surplus economy as one where armies walk to war
and an oil-surplus economy as one where armies are transported to war
eddy
your standard response isn’t even worth my customary eyeroll
Thanks. Yeah electricity is a ‘net-negative’ luxury for sure.
“Any type of energy that needs a government subsidy does not produce surplus energy, in my view.”
Structural energy surpluses don’t exist in the first place without gubmint and its (self-) subsidies. Well, technically, structural surpluses and gubmint emerge in tandem out of subsistence societies: chronic resource pressures result in a profound culture change (loss of true animism) wherein the anthropological ‘Big Man’ morphs into a chieftain in tandem with intensive cropping replacing horticulture, so as to avoid dealing with ecological overshoot on the ecology’s terms. Clever but stupidly short-sighted and selfish monkey-business.
Here in BC we have a mega dam building project underway for years. Estimated cost $16 Billion estimated power output $4 billion over it’s lifetime.
Energy insanity!
Gotta spend money to make money baby! 🙂
If the US has a food crisis, it will not be the first time:
In 1979, when anthropometric history was still in its infancy, Robert Fogel and collaborators reported that the height of the US male white population began to decline quite unexpectedly around the birth cohorts of 1830. This was quite a conundrum on account of the fact that according to conventional economic theory nutritional status was not expected to diminish at the outset of modern economic growth, i.e., at a time when incomes were growing robustly. Although many hypotheses were offered, not until 1987 was the comprehensive solution to the puzzle offered that the height decline was due primarily to a decline in food consumption: agricultural productivity did not keep pace with rapid population growth and urbanization. However, it took a third of a century for a Kuhnian paradigm shift to occur until most of the participants in the debate accepted the model elucidated by Komlos in 1987.
https://www.researchgate.net/publication/254428390_A_Three-Decade_History_of_the_Antebellum_Puzzle_Explaining_the_Shrinking_of_the_US_Population_at_the_Onset_of_Modern_Economic_Growth
I agree with Gail that the human race is in for a hard time if the technology does not advance. I expect it will advance though–which may bring a different set of problems.
advance to what exactly? and what will be the different set of problems?
Keith, nice to see you here again.
Hey it’s Keith!
Still the unfazed optimist I see.
The period in when people started getting shorter began in the 1830s. It was not terribly long of that the the US Civil War began. I believe that there were a lot of similarities between what happened then and what is happening now. At that time, population was growing faster than food production. There were other problems as well, including farmland depleted of minerals making workers less productive. Lack of enough food to go around led to fighting.
the fundamental lesson our elected politicos will not, or cannot, learn:
you can print money
you cannot print energy.
we elect politicians, of whatever stripe, and expect them to have knowledge that somehow goes beyond this, and come up with a magic formula that will let us all have BAU forever.
And dismiss them as fools for not being able to, or crooks when they scam the entire country, because they know they can’t and so grab what they can, while they can.
Or we expect Jesus to return and refill the oilwells.
It is we who are the fools of our own expectations.
We burned as much fossil fuel as we could, as fast as possible, and now run around pointing the finger at everyone except ourselves, at the mess we are in.
It is fundamental physics: you cannot create wages without converting one energy form into another.
Politicos, and others, think it is possible to print wages, and energy will catch up.
It won’t.
I am afraid that you have the story exactly correct.
German police beat citizens who are protesting because of record-high inflation and energy shortages. Take a look:
https://twitter.com/steve_hanke/status/1582367142233645056
Doesn’t look good.
Cause and effect. That’s what happens when you don’t release your hands for cuffing when you’re told to. At least the cop is using his hands and elbows to gain compliance and not a stick or a taser.
Comes with the territory of protesting a predicament.
Well, the protesters should have learned hill living.
Yeah well who’s to say when 90pc of them wouldn’t have been able to hack it anyway and gone back to the city with their tails between their legs? No, I guess you’re right, kulm – it’s better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all. Thanks for the, uh, insight.
Comment section says this took place at soccer game. Had nothing to do with inflation…. Do your homework 😑
The problem in a nutshell is that Governments from around the world decided to fund their budgets with their credit cards, with no intention of ever paying it back. Those issuing those credit cards have come to realize that. The proverbial can has been kicked to the end of the road. Govt’s used those credit cards to buy votes and elections with unrealistic promises. Now the credit card bill is due.
A wise Stateswoman once said: The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people’s money”.
However the big reason why financial approaches won’t work this time is that there was a deliberate attempt to reset the global system. A spanner was thrown into the works to break it. The WEF and its government puppets became happy at the thought so they used the Scamdemic to shutdown the world and break supply chains. The out of control inflation is a direct result of this. Raising interest rates will not solve the problem, it will only make it worse.
True, but let us not forget the other part of the equation…namely the concentration of economic wealth of the top tier from massive tax cuts and policies of the Federal Reserve and Central Banks for “free money”, they were given access to to accumulate assets..
Thank you Gail for your lastest Addison to your massive body of work.
Important to point out..but most of the public will not be aware of it.
Herbie,
Not sure about that reasoning, most likely Pareto’s 80/20 rule which may well be part of the fabric of the universe.
My dance partner is comfortable, recently purchased a Quatro 4 or some such thing, premium gas, the rest. I purchased a hybrid, no payments, more dance lessons. Some of us seem destined to run businesses, some to earn a salary and spend it. Owners get a skim off that spending, called profit.
Dennis L.
The ‘fabric of the universe’ doesn’t do structural hierarchy. It doesn’t cheat. It does realtime meritocracy. Realtime meritocracy does include earned ‘income’ but it doesn’t lever it’s earnings in any way, it only further earns them through organic growth.
I think the “fabric of the universe” will do structural hierarchy and ‘cheat’ if the pot of gold is large enough at the end of the rainbow.
Driving along the road a few months ago, I was looking at the houses along the road, each on its acre or two or four, and the image came to me that these houses are like the various air molecules that are brought into a structural pattern along the path of a lightning bolt from a van der Graaf generator. To begin with: random; as energy courses through, they become aligned and re-ordered.
I appreciate your recognition that civilization contains natural fractals. Sure it does.
The air molecules weren’t random to begin with. You just couldn’t see them and their context in order to see their order. The artificially generated lightning isn’t hierarchical in and of itself, it’s just a fleeting phase change that patterns in a jagged path of least resistance like a string of roadside parcels in a country suburb.
I’ll have to think about that non-randomness-to-begin-with part…
What I was rattling around in my brain was more along the lines of how all this ‘random’ material came together to form houses along roads (hypothesis: because that was ultimately the most efficient way for it to be dissipated). But the cost of construction has to be taken out of the equation first. Once the flash of energy-conduction passes, the material the houses had aggregated will devolve to a different state.
Back in 2007, I started thinking about a ‘doomer/prepper’-type homestead. I was able to start construction in 2018. The project is currently at a standstill as the contractor and then his subcontractors have basically gone AWOL one after another. I can write check after check, but it seems there may not be enough zappage flowing to induce them to move.
Lidia
The breath of life isn’t random, right? It also has complex thermodynamics/behavior.
The incompetence your dealing with must be frustrating. Sounds really bizarre. Keep on pushing of your own accord. We only get out of it what we put into it. Glad to hear you’re trying. 🙂
Hah! Thanks! Entropy is working away at it.. the Grace roof underlayment may have to be done over since it’s been exposed for a year. Contractor just hadn’t bothered to line up the roofers.
Pretty much everything I’ve done in this space has worked out as a net negative (remember that $64 tomato story?). Maybe that’s why the MEPP is so appealing to me as a narrative.

I got rich by betting that inequality would destroy the U.S. and U.K. I’m sorry
Gary Stevenson grew up in poverty and became Citibank’s most profitable trader. Here’s what he thinks of the U.K.’s mini-budget.
BY GARY STEVENSON
I retired a while ago, when I was 27, so it’s been a while since I was in the £150,000+ income bracket that has just seen their taxes collapse and I won’t personally benefit from the new, lower tax rates for super-high-income earners. But as a retired multi-millionaire, it will not be me who feels the pain of this mini-budget.,..
When I was 20, I won a card game. The prize was a trading job for Citibank. I started that job in 2008, and by 2011 I was the bank’s most profitable trader in the world. I did that by betting that growing inequality would destroy the American and British economies forever, that there would never be a meaningful recovery, and that living standards would fall–forever, interminably…….
It is not just in my country–the United Kingdom, this cold grey island that was once the richest in the world–where inequality is increasing. It is not just on this island where tax rates for the richest are decreasing, and the very richest are often legally able to avoid paying any tax at all. It is happening in your country too.
I edited out his edop letter
This was done intentionally to bankrupt the social safety net and rob the middle class.
Exactly. Of course, none of them can see a problem with funding their budgets with credit cards. Things will just get better and better, and everything will work out fine. Raise the credit card limit as needed.
About bottlenecks..

‘Dozens of LNG Carriers Back Up Off European Ports Waiting to Unload’
…
‘Dozens of ships carrying liquefied natural gas (LNG) are circling off the coasts of Spain and other European countries unable to secure slots to unload because plants that convert the seaborne fuel back to gas are full.
Europe is facing an energy supply squeeze as Russia has progressively cut gas flows after the West imposed sanctions in response to the Ukraine war.
The region has had to find alternative supplies, including LNG, but the arrival of multiple cargoes of the superchilled fuel has exposed Europe’s lack of “regasification” capacity.’
https://gcaptain.com/dozens-of-lng-carriers-back-up-off-european-ports-waiting-to-unload/
People don’t realize that there is a need for the complete supply chain, including adequate capacity on the most expensive parts of the supply chain.
We just need to adapt to a start/stop economy.
For that we are currently in “subsidies experimentation phase” as in the economy is “social” and money fills all the gaps.
difficult to see how a start stop economy could function
an economy just needs to ‘run’
starting and stopping just throws people out of work—if people dont get wages, they have to be supported by those who do, if there isn’t enough surplus, then the result is starvation–
but before you get to that stage, social unrest gets violent.
which crashes the system
momentum is everything, all the way down to the individual level.
A good analogy of the economy is an engine out of resonance and starved of fuel. Combustion is too inconsistent to drive the system evenly. The surges and lulls cause internal mechanical strain, shearing forces vibrate the system until a critical failures occurs.
“Oil supply was constrained in the 1970s, but demand and prices kept rising. US Federal Reserve Chairman Paul Volker is known for raising interest rates to unheard of heights (over 15%) with a peak in 1981 to end inflation brought on by high oil prices.”
Jeff Snider may disagree with Gail’s assertion that Volcker ended high inflation by raising interest rates:

when the Saudis restricted oil supply in the 70s, they suddenly found they (as producers) needed us (the consumers) to fund their gold plated lifestyle
So they just pumped more and more oil, so things eventually just balanced out and BAU remained as they were.
The difference this time is there’s no more oil to balance things out.
Not quite. Volcker’s recession dropped demand, and non-OPEC production came online. OPEC had to drop prices to hold on to market share.
“It is hard for most people to imagine how much interest rates have varied over the last century. Back during the Great Depression of the 1930s and the early 1940s, interest rates were very close to zero. As large amounts of inexpensive energy were added to the economy in the post-World War II period, the world economy raced ahead. It was possible to hold back growth by raising interest rates. ”
You nailed it here Gail!. If you are walking your dog and hes three years old you might have to pull on the leash. The leash isn’t very relevant when he is twelve. Its crazy to say the leash is what constitutes the dog walk.
Interest way of describing the problem.
Thank you for the new article Gail! Any trip to the grocery store or paying the energy bill is painful. Money is failing.
I recently made some statements on this forum regarding 911 and the pentagon. I dont know why but a couple of days ago I did some internet searches on 911 and the pentagon. I havnt really had interest in the topic for a decade or so having made up my mind that their was monkey business on 911 over a decade ago.
I encountered the work of Wayne Coste. AS I mentioned previously i believe strongly that physical evidence matching is key in verifying hypothesises in all investigations whether criminal or scientific. Mr Coste has created a body of analysis regarding physical phenomena observed at the pentagon on 911. It appears to me he looked at physical phenomena supporting that a large plane hit the pentagon on 911 and has done a rather bang up job. I would say it constitutes beyond a reasonable doubt and done in the best tradition of objective investigation. A large plane hit the pentagon on 911. I was wrong. Not only that but other analysis of the twin towers such as building sway from plane impactn 911 that matches the physics exactly.
I believe that their is evidence that there was monkey business on 911 beyond a reasonable doubt. I base that belief on the same principles that have made it clear that I was wrong about no plane at the pentagon observing phenomena that either matches physical evidence or doesn’t. I can not affirm truth selectively in these matters. The freefall velocities of the twin towers and B7 into their own footprint do not match any official explanation for 911. The circumstantial evidence regarding the unlikeliness of three unskilled pilots pulling off the aerial manipulations of 911 remains unexplained by anything other than a automated flight termination program flying. In particular the ground effect at the pentagon made for conditions that no pilot commonly encounters. Very experienced pilots took many trys on flight simulators to duplicate the flights of 911.
Hats off to Wayne Coste in his pursuit of evaluating physical phenomena on 911. Probably no one is interested but here is his very extensive analysis. Analysis that unlike the NIST facade holds water.
https://911speakout.org/wayne-coste/
I say Rubbish on Mr. Wayne Coste. I looked at his site. Just a bunch of superficial analyses that dont get to the heart of the matter. There was no plane.
I can only speak to my own thought process here. The chances that the guys we are told did this flying the planes in the manner we are told is roughly equivalent to a guy playing air guitar to metallica being able to walk in and play at the london orchestra with a broken hand. Not just one guy but three all in one day. In fact the chance that the best pilots in the world could pull off the arial manuvers of the pentagon attack on 911 is extremely slim. So if one comes to terms with that a obvious possibility is that it was not a plane that caused the damage. A missile is a lot easier to swallow than a automated flight control program. Yet we have multiple witnesses some of them aviation experts others trained observers who saw a large plane flying crazy low.
IMO the main issue with the large plane hypothesis “the heart of the matter” are the size of the hole and the lack of debris. I felt Mr Coste dealt with these issues. We have more detailed photos now. Reinforced concrete does have a certain strength. Another issue is the fireball observed. Its consistent with a jet fuel explosion not a missile payload with military explosive.
You define Mr Coste analysis as superficial. I disagree. Its the details that tell the story. There is just no way to get all the details to match something that didnt happen. If it happened all the little details match because thats what happened. Thus small details are very important in investigations and that is how I would characterize MR Coste’s work. IMO discarding the details that dont match because “it was a plane duh thats what they told us” is no different than “it was a missile duh a plane could not have done it” The details are what defines a true investigation to determine what has happened in past events. Without a investigation of the details and valuing that investigation we are only relying on prejudice and superficial impressions of what occurred.
Did you really look at Mr Coste’s work? Theres five hours of videos there. Could you be a little more specific in your criticism?
Mr Coste has been at the forefront of scientific investigation into the events of 911 devoting huge amounts of his time. IMO far from a shill spouting nonsense his methods are exactly what we need if we are to understand what occurred. Impartial analysis. It is only impartial analysis that will allow us to realize what occurred on 911. WE must value it and accept it regardless of our personal beliefs about that day if we are truly to ever discover what occurred. If we do not do so we can have no expectation of others doing the same and we will be left only with divisiveness and uncertainty like now.
Then there is the clip of the missile hitting the Pentagon and the CNN guy asking where’s the beef… uh… the wreckage
Who knocked the lamposts down FE?
After the missile hit did a fed run out there with a hacksaw and chop chop chop just to make it look like a plane had passed through?
Wouldn’t someone see that going on and call it out?
One part of 9/11 started the bioterrorism industrial complex with the Anthrax scam.
Irak was mainly the opening party of that new market with Colin Powel showing the Anthrax vial in the UN.
Does Irak play a major role in the Bush family’s oil business today ? No.
How about some other families?
Whatever it was , it was a “success”.
Sorry Gail, most of my posts are energy( but even this alludes to covid)
Even with the problems of nuclear it will be ramped up( no alternative)

That reminds me. In 2014 I was talking to the publisher Regnery in Washington about my book “Twilight of Abundance”, developed from a lecture I give entitled “The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse” – so someone has written a plan.
They asked “What do you hope to achieve with this book Mr Archibald?” I replied “Step one is to write an energy plan for the United States, step two is to implement the plan.” I was a believer in thorium in those days. It is too late for that. The best solution is the GE-Hitachi Prism reactor which is a sodium-cooled breeder reactor. It is described as “the best design never built”. Small modular reactors have less chance of blowing up than the current generation of light water reactors but still waste too much uranium and have the same actinide waste legacy. It is a shame to waste natural gas for power generation but it can be used directly as a vehicle fuel. Coal to liquid fuels is coming using the Bergius process instead of Fischer-Tropsch. The hydrogen for that will be made with power from the Prism reactors. We are going to have to do all that while suffering cognitive decline from long covid before the virions emerge from their immunoprotected reservoirs.
EXCELLENT notes Sir!
Only a few of us geriatrics watching the business recall the intentional destruction of nuke power as it unfolded.
Just a coincidence that Jane Fonda’s movie the “China Syndrome” came out before the Three Mile Island NON event.
Some time in the late seventies, I had a pal in the Denver office of Gulf Oil who had the uranium mines on the Indian reservation in four corners of New Mexico. A slick young lawyer with a big time N.YORK firm showed up with a law suit to shut down the mine. Stated that he had $10 million in an account to fund the litigation and there was lots more where that came from.
Who benefits is always the burning question. In those days the sellers of oil and gas for power plant consumption.
I bought a hardback copy of David Archibald’s Twilight of Abundance when it first came out. He’s an Australian scholar who comes from the US “think tank right” flank—the guys who don’t pay lip service to GW and who think there are worse things than Western (or Anglo Saxon) hegemony. He wants to save the West from collapse, although he fully realized well before Macron that abundance is over, and at the same time he believes that much of the world, beginning with the MENA region, is unsavable and bound to go down to famine as they produce so little food for the number of mouths that need feeding.
It was a rather depressing book, but well-written and with a plausible if somewhat biased viewpoint, and it deserves its place alongside The End of More as well as even more illustrious works such as Malthus’s Essay on Population and Tainter’s The Collapse of Complex Societies.
hadn’t come across that book Tim, thanks
always useful to see a differing pov, particularly of global warming
Always really look forward to your SUPERB brilliant work!!
The major problem we have here in the US is the Demented Fool we have as a president. On camera running up to some kiddies at a rally and screeching, “Look in my eyes, I promise you I am going to eliminate hydrocarbons”. Shutting the 800,000 bbl a day pipeline and then jumping on his plane, burning jet fuel to scurry off to beg the Saudis to pump more. Incomprehensible!!
Now delusional action of selling our SPR holdings off to the Chinese and other folks to attempt to drive the gasoline price down.
The major inflation of consumer goods and services is without a doubt due to a major factor of $5 plus diesel and gas.
Cry for the country.
It is hard to understand how self-organizing systems work. Biden is doing what he can to keep oil consumption up by depleting what is the Strategic Petroleum Reserve. This helps keep prices lower, so more people can afford the oil, thus keeping demand up. All of this helps Biden’s and other Democrats’ chances for re-election. Operating his plane helps keep demand up as well.
Just crazy:
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-11323677/Outrage-Boston-University-CREATES-Covid-strain-80-kill-rate.html
If you don’t succeed at first try try again.
A virus with an 80% kill rate won’t spread very far, especially if it kills its victims quickly. Such a virus is good for scaring people, but not good as a way to kill off population. To really spread, a virus cannot be very virulent. The ideal situation is that in which most victims don’t even realize they are ill, so that they continue to socialize. This is why the current version of Covid-19 is so good for scaring people.
If we look at animal populations, it’s incredible that humans have managed to grow to huge pop density without having recurring plagues that decimate the populations. Just see for example what happens in factory farms.
There are many ways for viruses/bacteria to spread while killing most hosts.
One way is a long incubation period but it could also be through water (how difficult it is to filter viruses?) through air or through other organisms (see the number of rats in New York).
My conclusion is that it is entirely possible for killing plagues to be developed that can kill a large majority of people. I don’t think you can kill ALL the targets that way (there is plenty of variation in the immune systems).
For any Dr. Evil planning this they only have to worry about two things:
!) Have the vaccine/treatment ready for the “elect” AND
2) Prevent the chances of mutations that would change the microbe enough to render vaccine/treatment ineffective. This one is almost impossible to predict.
People in general are arrogant. The rich are insanely arrogant so of course they will try something like this.
And btw, the treatment could be as simple as Ivermectin and yet most Americans will die because the govt can restrict its use. Wouldn’t that be something?
Question for people here: if the above scenario comes to pass and you are offered a vaccine, are you gonna take it?
If you are “essential” it might be the real deal. If not, it might just be some live microbes to finish the job.
Quite the conundrum, no?
Since you asked I’ll just say that your scenario is not reality-based. 🙂
“If we look at animal populations, it’s incredible that humans have managed to grow to huge pop density without having recurring plagues that decimate the populations. Just see for example what happens in factory farms.”
Factory farmed animals live in far higher densities than people in urban slums. That said you’re also suggesting that factory farmed animals have monstrous, recurring dieoffs, and AFAIK that is not the case. Sometimes factory farmed animals are subject to mass callings but that’s a function of germ theory (“stop the spread” lol) rather than ecological reality.
Sometimes farm animals are poisoned. And sometimes a farmer gets sick. The CDC sends a special unit to “detect” a novel pathogen. And the whole farm is culled and many other farms too based on this faulty assumption.
How do I know this? I was on the ground when thousands of cows were sacrificed in the uk in the name of foot and mouth disease.
Only one problem. There was no pathogen and the gov had to apologise for making a huge mistake.
This is what happens EVERY time you hear of an “outbreak” on a farm.
It’s all lies.
There is no such thing as pathogenic viruses. Toxins on the other hand can cause a nasty scare but of course you don’t get the panic of contagion without the images of silly men in hazmat suits and PPE as we’ve witnessed in Chinese cities recently.
It’s all theatre for the impoverished mind.
Actually … that may be correct when we do not f789 around with nature…
But when we do:
Vaccinated chickens carry and shed MDV for life. Since the introduction of these vaccines, MDV has become vastly more pathogenic for unvaccinated chickens. Today Marek’s disease has a nearly 100% infection fatality rate for the unvaccinated, killing all infected chicks within a few weeks of infection. Almost all newly hatched chicks are susceptible after their maternal antibodies wane. The older, milder MDV strains described in the early 20th century have totally disappeared.

I would note that there is no vaccine that stops Covid … so both unvaxxed and vaxxed die from Devil Covid.
Am I not a killjoy?
in this comment stream—nobody mentioned covid till wakeup time in NZ
At least he has recognized that he is a killjoy
I don’t believe that even for a second. A properly functioning immune system, which is nearly impossible with the level of poisons in our environment and low nutrition, can easily handle these gain-in-function microbes. Study immunologists.
