There is more to the fossil fuel energy predicament than we usually hear about.
Strangely enough, a big part of the confusion regarding the nature of our energy problem comes from the fact that virtually everyone wants to hear good news, even when the news isn’t very good. We end up seeing information in the Mainstream Media mostly from the perspective of what people want to hear, rather than from the perspective of what the story really is. In this post, I explain why this situation tends to occur. I also explain why our current energy situation is starting to look more and more like an energy shortage situation that could lead to economic collapse.
This post is a write-up of a presentation I gave recently. A PDF of my talk can be found at this link. An mp4 video of my talk can be found at this link: Gail Tverberg’s Nov. 9 presentation–Our Fossil Fuel Energy Predicament.

Most people attending my talk reported that they had mostly heard about the issue on the right end of Slide 2: the problem of using too much fossil fuel and related climate change.
I think the real issue is the one shown on the left side of Slide 2. This is a physics issue. Without fossil fuels, we would find it necessary to go back to using older renewables, such as oxen or horses for plowing, burned wood and other biomass for heat, and wind-powered sail boats for international transport.
Needless to say, these older renewables are only available in tiny quantities today, if they are available at all. They wouldn’t provide many jobs other than those depending on manual labor, such as subsistence agriculture. Nuclear and modern renewables would not be available because they depend on fossil fuels for their production, maintenance and long distance transmission lines.

On Slide 4, note that M. King Hubbert was a physicist. This seems to be the academic specialty that finds holes in other people’s wishful thinking.
Another thing to note is Hubbert’s willingness to speculate about the future of nuclear energy. He seemed to believe that nuclear energy could take over, when other energy fails. Needless to say, this hasn’t happened. Today, nuclear energy comprises only 4% of the world’s total energy supply.

The transcript of the entire talk by Rear Admiral Hyman Rickover is worth reading. I have excerpted a few sentences from his talk. His talk took place only a year after Hubbert published his research.
Rickover clearly understood the important role that fossil fuels played in the economy. At that early date, it looked as if fossil fuels would become too expensive to extract between 2000 and 2050. A doubling of unit costs for energy may not sound like much, but it is, if a person thinks about how much poor people in poor countries spend on food and other energy products. If the price of these goods rises from 25% of their income to 50% of their income, there is not enough left over for other goods and services.

Regarding Slide 6, the book The Limits to Growth by Donella Meadows and others provided early computer modeling of how population growth and extraction of resources might play out. The base model seemed to indicate that economic decline would start about now. Various other scenarios were considered, including a doubling of the resources. Without very unrealistic assumptions, the economy always headed downward before 2100.

Another way of approaching the problem is to analyze historical civilizations that have collapsed. Peter Turchin and Sergey Nefedov analyzed eight economies that collapsed in their book Secular Cycles. There have been many examples of economies encountering a new source of energy (conquering a new land, or developing a new way of producing more energy), growing for a time, reaching a time where growth is more limited, and finally discovering that the economy that had been built up could no longer be supported by the resources available. Both population and production of goods and services tended to crash.
We can think of the current economy, based on the use of fossil fuels, as likely following a similar path. Coal began to be used in quantity about 200 years ago, in 1820. The economy grew, as oil and natural gas production was added. We seem to have hit a period of “Stagflation,” about 1970, which is 50 years ago. The timing might be right to enter the “Crisis” period, about now.
We don’t know how long such a Crisis Period might last this time. Early economies were very different from today’s economy. They didn’t depend on electricity, international trade or international finance in the same way that today’s world economy does. It is possible (in fact, fairly likely) that the downslope might occur more rapidly this time.
Past Crisis Periods seem to feature a high level of conflict because rising population leads to a situation where there are no longer enough goods and services to go around. According to Turchin and Nefedov, some features of the Crisis Periods included increased wage disparity, collapsing or overturned governments, debt defaults, inadequate tax revenue and epidemics. Economists tell us that there is a physics reason for the rich to get richer and the poor to get poorer during Crisis Periods; in some sense, the poor get “frozen out” and the wealth rises to the top, like steam.

Slide 9 is a chart I prepared several years ago, showing the growth in the world production of fuels of various types. What little wind and solar was available at that time was included in the biofuels section at the bottom. Early biofuels consisted largely of wood and charcoal used for heat.

Slide 10 shows average annual increases for 10-year periods corresponding to the periods shown on Slide 9. This chart goes to 2020, so it covers a full 200-year period. Note that the increases in energy consumption shown are especially high in the 1951-1960 and 1961-1970 periods. These periods occurred after World War II when the economy was growing especially rapidly.

Slide 11 is similar to Slide 10, except I divide the bars into two pieces. The bottom, blue part corresponds to the amount that population grew, on average, during this ten-year period. Whatever is left over I have referred to as the amount available to increase the standard of living, shown in red. A person can see that when the overall growth in energy consumption is high, population tends to rise rapidly. With more energy, it is possible to feed and clothe larger families.

Slide 12 is like Slide 11, except that it is an area chart. I have also added some notes regarding what went wrong when energy consumption growth was low or negative. An early dip occurred at the time of the US Civil War. There was a very long, low period later that corresponded to the period of World War I, World War II and the Depression. The collapse of the central government of the Soviet Union occurred in 1991, so it is part of the 10-year period ended 2000. Most recently, we have encountered COVID shutdowns.
The peaks, on the other hand, tended to be good times. The period leading up to 1910 corresponded to the time of early electrification. The period after World War II was a period of growth and rebuilding. Most recently, China and its large coal resources helped pull the world economy forward. China’s coal supply stopped growing about 2013. I have written that we can no longer depend on China’s economy to pull the world economy forward. With recent rolling blackouts in China (mentioned in the next section), this is becoming more evident.
Without enough energy, the current period is beginning to look more and more like the period that included World War I and II and the Great Depression. Strange outcomes can occur when there basically are not enough resources to go around.

Slide 14 shows recent energy production. A person can see from this slide that wind and solar aren’t really ramping up very much. A major problem is caused by the fact that wind and solar are given the subsidy of “going first” and prices paid to other electricity producers are adjusted downward, to reflect the fact that their electricity is no longer needed by the grid. This approach tends to drive nuclear out of business because wholesale electricity rates tend to fall to very low levels, or become negative, when unneeded wind and solar are added. Nuclear power plants cannot easily shut down. Instead, the low prices tend to drive the nuclear power plants out of business. This is sad, because electricity from nuclear is far more stable, and thus more helpful to the grid, than electricity from wind or solar.

Fossil fuel producers need quite high energy prices for a variety of reasons. One of these reasons is simply because the easiest-to-extract resources were removed first. In recent years, producers have needed to move on to resources with a higher cost of extraction, thus raising their required selling prices. Wages of ordinary citizens haven’t kept up, making it hard for selling prices to rise sufficiently to cover the new higher costs.
Another issue is that fossil fuel energy prices need to cover far more than the cost of drilling the current well. Producers need to start to develop new areas to drill, years in advance of actually getting production from those sites. They need extra funds to work on these new sites.
Also, oil companies, especially, have historically paid high taxes. Besides regular income taxes, oil companies pay state taxes and royalty taxes. These taxes are a way of passing the “surplus energy” that is produced back to the rest of the economy, in the form of taxes. This is exactly the opposite of wind and solar that need subsidies of many kinds, especially the subsidy of “going first,” that drives other electricity providers out of business.
Prices for oil, coal and natural gas have been far lower than producers need, for a long time. The COVID shutdowns in 2020 made the problem worse. Now, with producers quitting at the same time the economy is trying to reopen, it is not surprising that some prices are spiking.

Most local US papers don’t tell much about world energy prices, but these are increasingly becoming a big problem. Natural gas is expensive to ship and store, so prices vary greatly around the world. US natural gas prices have roughly doubled from a year ago, but this is a far lower increase than many other parts of the world are experiencing. In fact, the bills that most US natural gas residential customers will receive will increase by far less than 100% because at the historic low price, over half of the price for residential service is distribution expenses, and such expenses don’t change very much.

Slide 17 shows another way of looking at data that is similar to that in Slide 14. This slide shows amounts on a per capita basis, with groupings I have chosen. I think of coal and oil as being pretty much the only energy resources that can “stand on their own.” The recent peak year for combined coal and oil, on a per capita basis, was 2008.
Natural gas, nuclear, and hydroelectric were the first add-ons. If a person looks closely, it can be seen that the growth rate of this group has slowed, at least in part because of the pricing problems caused by wind and solar.
The “green” sources at the bottom are growing, but from a very low base. The main reason for their growth is the subsidies they receive. If fossil fuels falter in any major way, it will adversely affect the growth of wind and solar. Already, there are articles about supply chain problems for the big wind turbines. Any cutback in subsidies is also harmful to their production.

US papers don’t tell us much about these problems, but they are getting to be very serious problems in other parts of the world. The countries with the biggest problems are the ones trying to import natural gas or coal. If an exporting country finds its own production falling short, it is likely to make certain that its own citizens are adequately supplied first, before providing exports to others. Thus, importing countries may find very high prices, or supplies simply not available.

This slide got a lot of laughs. The university does have some sort of agricultural plot, but teaching subsistence farming is not its goal.

My point about “scientists who are not pressured by the need for research grants or acceptance of written papers are the ones trying to tell the whole truth” got quite a few laughs. As a practical matter, this means that retired scientists tend to be disproportionately involved in trying to discern the truth.
With the military understanding the need to work around energy limits, one change has been to move away from preparation for “hot wars” to more interest in biological weapons, such as viruses. Thus, governments of many countries, including the United States, Canada, France, Italy, Australia and China, have funded research on making viruses more virulent. The vaccine-making industry also supported this effort because it might enhance the industry’s ability to make and sell more vaccines. It was believed that there might even be new techniques that would develop from this new technology that would increase the overall revenue generated by the healthcare industry.
Questions came up, both during the talk and later, about what other changes have taken place because of the need for much of the audience to hear a story with a happily ever after ending, and because of the known likely decline of the economy for physics reasons. Clearly one thing that happens is successful entrepreneurs, such as Elon Musk, aim their production in areas where subsidies will be available. With fossil fuel production not making money, fossil fuel producers are even willing to undertake renewable projects if subsidies seem to be high enough. The issue isn’t really, “What is sustainable?” It is much more, “Where will the profits be, given where subsidies will be, and what people are being taught about how to perceive today’s problems?”

In fact, what has been happening in recent years is that a great deal of debt has been added to the world economy. Mostly, this added debt seems to be creating added inflation. It definitely is not leading to the rapid extraction of a great deal more fossil fuels, which is what really would allow the production of more goods and services. If inflation leads to higher interest rates, this, by itself, could destabilize the financial system.

I tried to explain, as I have in the past, how a self-organizing economy works. New citizens are born, and old ones pass away. New businesses are formed, and they add new products, keeping in mind what products citizens want and can afford. Governments add laws and taxes, as situations change. Energy is needed at every step in production, so availability of inexpensive energy is important in the operation of the economy, as well. There are equivalences, such as employees tend also to be customers. If the wages of employees are high, they can afford to buy many goods and services; if wages are low, employees will be very restricted in what they can afford.
In some sense, the economy is hollow inside, because the economy will stop manufacturing unneeded products. If an economy starts making cars, for example, it will phase out products associated with transportation using horse and buggy.

A self-organizing economy clearly does not operate in the simple way economists seem to model the economy. Low prices can be just as big a problem as high prices, for example.
Another issue is that the energy needs of an economy seem to depend on its population and how far it has already been built up. For example, roads, bridges, water distribution pipelines and electricity transmission infrastructure must all be maintained, even if the population falls. We know humans need something like 2000 calories a day of food. Economies seem to have a similar constant need for energy, based on both the number of people in the economy and the amount of infrastructure that has been built up. There is no way to cut back very much, without the economy collapsing.

I am not exactly certain when the first discussion of the economy as a dissipative structure (self-organizing system powered by energy) started. When I prepared this slide, I was thinking that perhaps it was in 1996, when Yoshinori Shizoawa wrote a paper called Economy as a Dissipative Structure. However, when I did a search today, I encountered an earlier paper by Robert Ayres, written in 1988, also discussing the economy as a dissipative structure. So, the idea has been around for a very long time. But getting ideas from one part of academia to other parts of academia seems to be a very slow process.
Debt cannot grow indefinitely, either, because there needs to be a way for it to be paid back in a way that produces real goods and services. Without adequate energy supplies, it becomes impossible to produce the goods and services that consumers need.

Attendees asked about earlier posts that might be helpful in understanding our current predicament. This is the list I provided:

But there’s one more step: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention must agree to expand Pfizer and Moderna boosters to even healthy young adults. Its scientific advisers were set to debate later Friday.
If the CDC agrees, tens of millions more Americans could have three doses of protection ahead of the new year. Anyone who got the one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine can already get a booster.
All three COVID-19 vaccines used in the U.S. still offer strong protection against severe illness including hospitalization and death, but protection against infection can wane with time. Previously, the government had cleared boosters of Pfizer and

Exactly, onwards!
And Fear No Evil!
From the article:
I believe that this connects up with the rise in the general death rate that the world seems to be seeing. If there is an uptick in hospitalizations, it goes along with this as well.
I don’t think that I really have access to all of the data needed to look at this properly. There is also a learning curve in figuring out all of this data. But I wish someone would start putting the pieces together.
I believe you need an unbiased, strong statistical background to truly decipher this. People like to manipulate as if they are experts because they have a computer. Just because you want a certain result doesn’t make it so…
No mediacl data since the start of the pandemic makes sense anymore.
Unless you have good data, any results, no matter how meticulously examined will be meaningless. As the old saying goes, garbage in, garbage out. We need to get a hold of the real books in the CDC’s possession. What ingredients are in each of these injections, the proportions, the testing results-which they will be analyzing from a different perspective, i.e., not whether it is effective effective in treating the “disease,” rather in promoting it.
The ‘democratic deficit’ on that one lies with the Tories. Most Brits, including most TP voters, want covid passports. Generally the older are more favourable to them than the younger. On this one, the devolved parliaments, and not Westminster, are in line with what their voters want. The TP seems to be more concerned with the effect on businesses than anything else, which is congruent with their funding and known ethos. You get who you vote for.

> Britons still broadly support COVID-19 vaccine passports
As vaccine passports become a more realistic prospect, the public remains in favour
The Conservative party is currently at war with itself over the proposed introduction of vaccine passports. Prime Minister Boris Johnson is leading the charge to introduce the controversial measures, which would see people need to prove their vaccination status to access certain venues. However, many Conservatives MPs threaten revolt over their implementation.
The latest YouGov research reveals that public opinion has stayed much the same since March, with six in ten Britons (60%) supporting the introduction of vaccine passports sooner rather than later, including 30% who “strongly” support their implementation. This is compared to 58% of the public who backed their use in March this year.
Some 32% of Britons would be opposed to the use of vaccine passports during the vaccination programme, similar to the 34% who held this opinion in the spring.
Despite continued Tory infighting over the policy, two thirds of their voters (64%) would support plans for vaccine passports. Sentiment is similar among Labour voters, 60% of whom would also be in favour.
Like the silly masked bitch in the supermarket today: not only did she keep over 3ft away from me – and her shopping over 2ft from mine on the conveyor belt!! – but she then jumped another 3ft away when I coughed (covering my mouth, of course).
Her sort would vote for passports and lock-downs of the pure in blood and spirit, I am sure.
On the other hand, my efforts to foment an anti-mask rebellion there have paid off, and nearly all the staff have thrown their masks away. It just took one to break free an the rest followed.
That post ‘teleported’ up the top. It was supposed to be in the context of the exchange below with Tim.
I profess no ‘hard line’ about who should get what they want in covid measures – I will leave that to the society as a whole to decide. The whole thing clearly bothers some more than others.
Around my way, people who want to wear masks do, and those who do not, do not, and everyone leaves everyone to make their own decisions. People are generally not given to ‘scenes’ anyway.
If someone clearly wants extra space then I let them have it – they may have underlying conditions, or they may just worry about it all more than some others. It is ‘give and take’ in society, and people generally find a balance.
I am usually ‘on my best behaviour’ in public – it makes life easier for everyone.
I saw too old people driving around in their car with masks on yesterday… there is no Covid here… I wanted to force them off the side of the road into a rock cut… to cure their Stooopidity… but I didn’t
M Fast was at the chemist yesterday… the chemist asked her to pass on his apologies for trying to convince Fast to get injected… apparently he felt he went too far and was unprofessional…
M Fast told him not to worry about it… Fast does not ever feel insulted because HE is mostly always right… and HE accepts that MOREONS will lash out at HIM. It goes with the territory.
And then there’s teen 1… broke the news at work… they don’t have any no-jab positions … he is one step closer to being Fast’s butler… I wonder where one would purchase a butler’s outfit….
Apparently there is one other person refusing the jab… a wine maker from Europe… he wants to return to Europe but cannot because he needs to be jabbed to board a flight…. so he will likely not hold the line…
That is useful info though… if the butler hire is rejected… it will be impossible to deport teen 1…
good that she talks about you in caps
It turns out that viruses can imbed in the genome and cause hereditary mental illness, which is very sad.
that would account for the pseudo violence as well

The filthy diseased hag… next time follow her and watch for an opportunity to kick her off a bridge when nobody is looking.
Do you think people really want passports? I have trouble believing most everything we’re told. Good propaganda makes you feel alone and hopeless so you go along with the program passively and distrust your neighbors. If this really is all about an energy crisis I wish ‘they’ could be honest with us but maybe they learned from Jimmy ‘Put on a sweater’ Carter it’s better to lie to the public about how serious of a predicament we’re in.
Vaxx compulsory in Austria from 01 Feb 2022
Austria to go into full lockdown as Covid surges
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-59343650
‘ Days after Austria imposed a lockdown on the unvaccinated, it has announced a full national Covid-19 lockdown starting on Monday.
Chancellor Alexander Schallenberg said it would last a maximum of 20 days and there would be a legal requirement to get vaccinated from 1 February 2022.
He was responding to record case numbers and one of the lowest vaccination levels in Western Europe.
…However, too many people had been incited not to get the jab, because of “too many political forces, flimsy vaccination opponents and fake news”, he added. The measures are yet to be finalised… ‘
Shall we take a wager on which country will be next re compulsory Zyklon C?
Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Greece, Scotland (90% already vaxxed in the age 18+) ?
I imagine some of the highly populated US northern states will be at risk for lockdown later. This is the link to a website that gives county level data. The southern states that had high COVID rates earlier (and low vaccination rates) are now doing better than the northern states.

Alexander Schallenberg might have some troubles coming his way, if it’s true that the police have refused to enforce the mandate and apparently been joined by the army.

This would quickly start the dominos falling in Italy, France and Switzerland. Then Germany and Holland would follow suit and it would be game over.
Looks very much like another too good to be true situation.
Keep us updated.
I’m in England Gail, but I think the Austrian people have respect for the police and army, so would take notice and start questioning.
Austrians have always appeared conservative, so a rebuttal of the mandate from a respectable institution(or two) could quite literally be the force needed.
The implementation of any mandate is only ever possible if the middle(scribe) class turn the bureaucratic wheel to make it happen, but they would never attempt to be the physical enforcers and I don’t believe they will ignore these institutions.
A mix of fear and respect maybe, which is a powerful combination.
A good show from both at the protest could change the whole dynamic.
Probably an overly optimistic view. We shall find out over the weekend.
I don’t mind if the CEP is tipped over… total anarchy would be very entertaining… but just make sure ya’ll have an Exit plan… cause total anarchy = collapse of BAU… there will be many desperate dangerous people roaming about…. (looking for rape opps and children to stew)
Roman concrete pops up as a topic for discussion every now and again. This Video was recently posted on YT. About 8 min long.
Why was Roman Concrete Forgotten during the Middle Ages?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dbvvlFHCNn4
“For centuries, concrete was everywhere in Roman Italy: in the awesomely durable breakwaters of artificial harbors, in the soaring vaults of great baths, in the foundations of the Colosseum, and – of course – in the spectacular dome of the Pantheon. But during late antiquity, concrete all but vanished from the Mediterranean world, and would not be used widely again until the twentieth century. This video explains why.”
It sounds to me as if the collapse of the Roman Empire was a big part of the reason why Roman Concrete stopped being used. Diminishing returns were becoming an increasing problem for the empire. The video doesn’t really go into this, except to say something to the effect that those in power could no longer afford to build the kinds of buildings for which Roman Concrete was most suited.
I am sure that the Roman Empire was reaching diminishing returns in many ways simultaneously. Different people have looked into this more than I have. I would expect too much population relative to arable land was one issue; also, too much border to defend, relative to the resources to defend it. I imagine that “porcelena” used in the making of Roman concrete was increasingly more labor intensive to extract, if the easiest to obtain deposits were taken first. Other minerals were becoming more labor intensive to extract as well. Rome could not do everything simultaneously. The return on human labor was falling too low.
I think that this is the ultimate reason that empires of all kinds collapse: the return on human labor falls too low for too large a share of the population.
concrete requires aggregate, Roman aggregate requires basically lime and volcanic rock
both need intensive intensive energy input to produce…The Romans ran out of slave energy. Or it became uneconomic to divert depleting slave energy into producing concrete for high-status buildings. (same end result)
our concrete plants are equally energy intensive, right now they are running out of cheap energy too.
We will arrive at the same situation as the Romans fairly soon
What have the Romans ever done for us?
Actually, they gave us durable concrete. To do this, the Romans used volcanic ash, which is closer to powder than rock. And the lime they made from limestone was heated to a much lower temperature than the lime used to make today’s concrete.
To manufacture Portland cement, fuel is used to heat a mix of limestone and clays to 1,450ºC. To make their concrete, the Romans used much less lime, and made it from limestone baked at 900ºC, a process that used up much less fuel.
So our concrete plants are much more energy intensive than what the Romans used. If we adopted their methods, we could certainly cut the energy cost per ton of making the stuff, although transporting the materials and the product itself also require a great deal of energy.
i know the broad details about making concrete
the Romans still required slave labour as a cheap energy input
we use fossil fuels
all comes down to available energy
Yes, I can see how the Roman’s might have out of slaves. But why didn’t the Eastern Roman Empire run out of slaves too. Constantinople thrived for many centuries after Rome fell, and they always seemed to have plenty of slaves.
a ‘slave economy’ requires energy inpuit (ie surpluses) to hold it together.
The western roman empire fell apart in the 6th c, dues to a variety of factors and influences. This meant owning slaves in the national collective sense was no longer viable.
just like oilwells—there will always be oil in the ground. We wont be able to use it because the infrastructure will not exist to enable that.
If the infrastructure doesnt exist to go out and capture slaves (energy) then, as with oil, the slave system becomes unviable.–it was that the ‘slaves’ were not there, the means to get hold of them didnt exist
The eastern Roman empire was able to sustian itself for another 600years. Eventually their slave infrastructure collapsed as well
Actually, the Eastern Roman Empire was a Byzantine enterprise that stumbled on for another thousand years until it fell to the Ottomans in 1453.
They continued the Empire, reforming its structures but retaining much of its bureaucracy.
Both the Byzantines and the Ottomans continued to use slaves to do much of the drudgery and donkeys to do the donkey work. There was no shortage once the system was organized. In fact, under the Ottomans, the bureaucrats were slaves too—very comfortably off slaves in many respects. If you were a Christian Balkan peasant, you would have done much better under the Ottomans than under the Christian lords they replaced. Instrad of two or three days unpaid labour a week, you would only have to devote five or ten days a year to working for the Sultan. And your tax would be 10% on your annual income. And if you converted to Islam, you could live tax-free!
Every few years, the officials would come around collecting children, and each family had to provide one son. These kids would be sent off to Istanbul and trained as civil servants. Most of these slaves had a much better life as slaves than their brothers left behind on the farm—but when the Emperor said “Jump!” they used to reply “How high?”
Exactly. Thanks for the additional information.
The ownership of slaves was also widespread among the barbarians who replaced the Romans: Saxons, Franks, Lombards, etc, and (much later) the Vikings.
The Church owned large numbers of slaves for agriculture and building.
But they would have been essentially farm and town servants and drudges in a much simpler society.
There were certainly several slaves living here on farms when the Normans conquered England in 1066. When the Normans built their castle here, on a huge earthen mound, they probably ordered everyone to work on it several days per week, slave or free.
At the height of the Empire, contractors owned enormous numbers of slaves who worked in industrial enterprises: construction, pottery, glass-making, brick-making, food-processing-, etc. Bricks and tiles showed the mark of the factory.
As the economy simplified and towns collapsed, those businesses went under, too.
So Xabier, you’re implying that Norman is wrong. Not enough slaves was not the reason Rome fell.
There were plenty of slaves both before and after the fall of Rome. We must look elsewhere for answers.
I know it is a mind-bogglingly difficult thing to accept that Norman is fallible—or has become so since his third jabb— but it is the inevitable conclusion we must draw if slaves were as ubiquitous as you are suggesting.
Yes, it seems like it’s always “everything at once” in a complex system. People tend to focus on issues that concern them: Those who like economics say they debased the currency, those who like military history point to failures there, others point to cultural decline or environmental degradation.
Energy underlies all things, which leads me to believe in our collapse most people will never “get it” and will continue to blame causes which reflect their own interests and backgrounds.
This story is going completely out of control.
Austria has just declared that the vaccine against Covid-19 (and incredibly it is not clear which one) will mandatory for all population starting from February 2022.
So, starting from now, Austrian people accept a mandatory unknown terapy within few months.
And if population will not protest I think that other European Countries will emulate this.
Europe is falling in the same situation just before WWII.

Maybe citizens will start objecting in a way that matters. We will see.
You are mostly correct on your previous macro zoom out historical point about govs / factions by whatever form actually can not rule or oppress the pop “forever” – however in the short / mid term tyrants always/usually win.. And as this example shows, we are likely heading pronto into the later case..
Exactly, worldof. As the Spanish proverb says:

Why on earth would any American with a functioning brain believe what he /she /they is being told by the public health officialdom, the politicians, or the news media? For two years, they have lied to you about everything relating to the Covid-19 virus, including where it came from, how it was developed, who sponsored its development, how the vaccines happened to come onstage thirty seconds after the disease entered the scene, how well the vaccines worked, how safe the vaccines were, and whether there were other cheap and effective treatments for the disease.
So, here we are with nearly 200-million Americans fully vaccinated (and 230-million with at least one dose), plus 47-million overall officially registered cases of Covid illness (conferring immunity among the survivors), plus X-number people infected with no symptoms, or people who didn’t get tested when sick, or didn’t bother going to see a doctor or report to a hospital, plus X-number of people with natural immunity to Covid for one reason or another (maybe a high number, based on the Diamond Princess cruise ship ratio of a Pareto-type 80 / 20 distribution) — and now, in the fall of 2021, here comes another surge of Covid-19 among both the vaxxed and un-vaxxed.

Voices for Freedom Activities:
COMBINED POP UP IN WANAKA
We all met up the other week for a fantastic pop up (roadside sign holding) in Cromwell. We had nearly 60 people there from Central Otago, Wanaka and our Queenstown group. It was raining and we were still out there. There was lots of tooting in our favour! Anyway, this Saturday it’s in Wanaka. Let’s be supportive as we will get a reciprocal crew to come over to our side of the hill after this event to support a big one for us! There will probably be some socializing afterwards and grabbing some food.
Saturday 20/11/21
Time: 11am
Meeting Location: Mt Iron Trail car park (opposite new BP)
If you have not gone to a pop up, please do! They are great fun, and if you are shy, no stress! You can hide behind a sign until you feel more confident. Or you can just stand next to someone holding a sign. Either way, it would be good to show support for our group along with the Wanaka crew and get out there. It’s time to be courageous!
► SOCIAL EVENTS
Our Saturday social event may not be as busy as usual due to the Pop Up over the hill at Wanaka but we’ll post the details anyway in case anyone wants to go. Sunday will still be on as per usual, weather pending. Join the QT telegram group to stay up to date (see bottom of email on how to join).
SATURDAY: Meet 12 noon in front of the Bathhouse, chat and have a picnic.
SUNDAY: Walk & Talk session at 10AM SUNDAY – the meeting place is the Lake Hayes Pavillion. Suitable for all fitness levels! More talk than walk usually. No RSVP is needed, and anyone can attend.
MONDAY 4am – Meet in in qt and bring your petrol to burn it to the ground

Mirror, didn’t I tell you? Give the Celts home rule and see how quickly their governments turn tyrannical. I didn’t? Well, I was thinking it.
England Last Remaining UK Nation Without Covid Passports After Ulster Vote
England is to be left as the last remaining nation in the United Kingdom without the use of domestic covid passports, with Northern Ireland voting to implement the measures by the end of this month.
From November 29th, those wishing to gain access to a variety of amenities in the region must provide evidence of either vaccination against the Chinese coronavirus, have recovered from Covid-19 within the past six months, or a negative lateral flow test taken within the last 48 hours.
Such venues where the pass will be required will include restaurants, cinemas, and indoor venues with more than 500 unseated people. Fines will also be imposed for businesses that flout the restrictions after a 14-day grace period.
The proposal to implement the measures was passed on Wednesday by the Northern Ireland Executive — a devolved governing body similar to a state legislator — with a 6-4 margin, according to RTÉ.
Of the five parties with members in the Executive, the pro-union, pro-Brexit Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) was the only party to vote against the measures.
Speaking on the incoming restrictions, DUP MP Sammy Wilson, who sits in the national parliament in Westminster, said that the move was a “bad decision”, and that there will be “huge fines for those businesses and for individuals who don’t comply”.
https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2021/11/18/england-to-be-last-remaining-uk-nation-without-covid-passports/
I might have gone on about, ‘that is representative democracy for you, you get who you vote for even if you never actually get to vote for what you want, and then they do what they want, which is what they told you that they were going to do before you voted for them.’
But it seems that most in NI support vax passports anyway, so I will confine myself to, ‘well, that is democracy for you (sort of).’
https://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/news/health/coronavirus/majority-of-people-in-favour-of-mandatory-covid-passports-41052072.html
> Majority of people in favour of mandatory Covid passports
The majority of people in Northern Ireland would welcome the introduction of mandatory Covid passports, a new poll has indicated.
Almost two thirds (65%) of those questioned by Lucid Talk said they would have no issue if the passports were introduced for the hospitality sector to allow them entry to pubs, restaurants and nightclubs.
That’s my point exactly. You can trust the Celts to vote for coercion and repression and against fundamental individual human rights every time. They are so easily moved by calls to emotion. It took British rule to impose civilized behavior on them, and without John Bull’s “tyranny”to keep them in line, they will inevitably slide back to the Celtic norm.
So, we now have the Scots, the Welsh and the Irish all imposing draconian restrictions on the rights of an oppressed minority of their own fellow countrymen, while the majority apparently cheers on the repression. How long before they bring back tarring, feathering, and burning at the stake?
I suspect that you are being daft about the Celts for the ‘crack’ of it, and I do not feel the need to engage with that. Chauvinism can be little more than a public ‘stroking’ of the self in a more socialised manner.
‘Rights’ are entirely made up, and in practice the implementation of one ‘right’ tends to contravene the implementation of others. Some citizens are more concerned with the ‘right’ to ‘safety’, some to ‘normal intercourse’. Or to ‘free speech’ vs. ‘defamation’, ‘false witness’. To ‘welfare’ vs. ‘private property’.
Societies tend to enact a ‘trade off’ or a ‘middle course’ between claims about ‘rights’ in policy. The bourgeois West holds up ‘democracy’ of various degrees as the mechanism of establishing policy makers if not policies. ‘Democracy’ is often held up as the ‘opposite’ of ‘tyranny’.
But anyone who does not get their desired ‘rights’ implemented is liable to accuse the government of ‘tyranny’ even if it has been democratically elected. If they enact covid passports then they are ‘tyrants’ against ‘normal intercourse’, even if most citizens want them – to those who oppose them. If they fail to enact passports then they are ‘tyrants’ putting the interests of businesses before the ‘safety’ of citizens – to those who want them.
Political terms like ‘rights’, ‘democracy’, ‘tyranny’ are little more than ‘buzz words’ that people weaponize to try to get what they want (or at least ‘think’ that they want). All politics is ‘will to power’, the struggle to establish conditions that favour the preservation and growth of some particular kind of person. Words are weapons/ toys in that battle.
A lot of people play the ‘buzz word’ game because it is the game by which politics is done in the West. Whether they actually ‘achieve’ anything worthwhile is another matter. Some might conclude that the whole things is ‘pretty silly’ – but what else does the West have by way of political discourse?
If I want to argue about rights, I will have to read On Liberty again. But off the top of my head, I thought they were fought for legislated for, and recognized as an essential bulwark to protect the individual against the tyranny of governments, the majority, or other individuals.
And in my naivety, I thought they were inalienable. I thought that individuals had sovereignty over their own bodies and that they were protected from being forced or coerced into undergoing medical interventions against their will.
But now I see the violence inherent in the system!
There is no difference what the operating – ISM is. It is all made up and peer pressured to the people through culture as you are accurately pointing
And it is interesting that you approve of all of the Tory measures like lockdowns – nothing ‘tyrannical’ there? The pollical word game often relies on the ‘memory hole’ and an out and out dishonesty. ‘All is fair in WTP’?
There are many reasons why Western political discourse tends to be ‘silly’. Some tend to emphasise that it is ‘the people who make the culture.’ I would point to the influence of the political structures, but I am not suggesting any ‘ideals’.
I know that you are only ‘joking around’ with me anyway, so do not take my retorts personally.
You’re quite right that I’m only joking around. We’re all products of our time and place, and I’m mid-20th century Cockney with a mix of English and Irish relatives and ancestors. And that was the behavior I learned and haven’t quite managed to outgrow.
For the most part, the English side of the family would be making jokes and telling funny stories at nobody’s expense. While the Irish side would be constantly pulling each other’s leg and trying to get a rise out of other people. The Irish side of the family were, how can I put it, more competitive, more aggressive, more judgmental, and when angered, more vindictive.
So when I joke around like that, I guess that’s the Irishman in me coming out. At least, that’s my alibi and I’m sticking with it.
By the way, I enjoy your comments and often extended postings on the UK and NI political situation. I think you display a strong bias, which is fine, but more importantly you present a lot of information I wouldn’t get to read otherwise, and your opinions and perspective have influenced my own. Perhaps this is because my own opinions on that subject are not very well formed or deeply held simply because I’ve been too long in exile, as Van sings. When you actually live in a place, the local politics feels a whole lot more real and alive to you.
You point out the current Tory tyranny in England, quite rightly, and of course, it is just the same as the we see in Wales, Ireland and Scotland. And I expect a majority of the English are supporting it. So there is indeed no substantial difference on the issue of dealing with the pandemic. But England hasn’t yet introduced vaccine passports, despite the government wanting to do so. What accounts for this difference in policy. Are they having trouble getting a consensus among the elites, or do they fear a backlash from the people?
brits will make a joke about anything

Folks, time to vote for your favourite (non) conspiracy theory.
#1. JMG – It’s just Big Pharma and related bad actors trying to make a few $100B.
#2. JMG – The elites are inbred/delusional/stupid and don’t have a clue what they’re doing.
#3. Norm – Nah, they can’t possibly want to kill us off to get to 500M, because there wouldn’t be a working civilisation left.
#4. FE – They definitely want to kill us off and/or the morons have forgotten about the spent fuel ponds, so when they shrink us down things will go belly up.
#5. Mike – You’re all making stuff up, there’s no proven problem with the vaxxes.
#6. Gail – Resources esp. oil are short, which is going to trigger a collapse (not a CT here, but is for the sheeple).
#7. Fred – Some blend of population reduction and digital ID/currency/social control to get ahead of resource and social collapse. There’s also the solar minimum, which is responsible for the screwed up weather and imminent global cooling and crop failure.
Vote now before the middle-of-the-night postal votes and Dominion re-calibration kicks in!
Wow, there’s so much to choose from!
Although not all of these are mutually exclusive.
#4. FE is my absolute favorite for shocking people down the pub, but #7. Fred is more likely to prove correct.
I vote #8 – astounding stupidity and joyful ignorance by choice in the context of #6, Gail’s models are not subject to our actions, they will played out in one way or another.
>>>>>population reduction and digital ID/currency/social control<<<<<
hmmmmmmm——-
always intrigued by disparate concepts somehow being linked to form a cohesive whole.
The words are tossed out there—but no one can ever explain how this might be.
No one.
Reduce the population and digital currency becomes a nonsense, because resource collapse would means that there would be no viable currency.
Money is only a token of energy exchange—–remove the underpinning energy and currency ceases to exist.
This would exacerbate social collapse. No form of digital currency could exist because it requires constant electrical power.
If power became intermittent, digital currency would cease to be. Doesn't matter what bitcoin is worth before power goes down—after its worth zilch.
How can it be so hard to grasp that?
(I will give you 1 bitcoin for your cow???—-try pushing the logic button instead of the hysteria button)
Social control necessitates energy input to facilitate controllers. Even bill Gates' injectioms of iron filings will require 5G masts–all requiring electricity. (see digital currency above)
The same applies to digital ID btw.

I think what happens is that the WEF doesn’t really understand what is happening. The WEF comes up with ideas that might help them get richer. The catch is that a lot of these ideas cannot really work well in the real world, or not for very long. This is why, at least for the short term, we have some of these ideas becoming popular.
Fred, it seems you have a problem with our push for diversity. Please report to your nearest vax station.
I’m curious, does anyone happen to know why Larry Page left Alphabet in December 2019 and is now living in such a strangely remote place as a Fiji island? I suspect the answer to this question would be of considerable value. (But maybe is not for us mere commoners to know that kind of stuff.)
“Page had been living in Fiji with his family during the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic.”
when you are worth $100+ billion, you do what you wanna do.
this is more interesting via Wikipedia:
“Page is also interested in the socio-economic effects of advanced intelligent systems and how advanced digital technologies can be used to create abundance (as described in Peter Diamandis’ book), provide for people’s needs, shorten the workweek, and mitigate the potential detrimental effects of technological unemployment.
Page also helped to set up Singularity University, a transhumanist think-tank. Google is one of the institution’s corporate founders and still funds scholarships at Singularity University.”
so he’s a nuttter, but again when you’re that rich, you can afford to be.
using AI to “create abundance”. Wooooooo!!!!!!! Wooooooo!!!!!!!
Hah! These people absolutely live in different mental universe from the rest of us. Also, you can get away with a lot more when you live on a third-world island. I bet no one is hassling him over zoning, wink wink say no more.
if you really wanted, you could live in Fiji too. My brother went there once.

Another major red flag about Covid vaccines and death
This one coming from data on more than 4 million vaccinated Swedes
People appear to die at rates 20 percent or more above normal for weeks after receiving their second Covid vaccine dose, according to data from a huge Swedish study.
https://alexberenson.substack.com/p/another-major-red-flag-about-covid
Scotland all cause death rate running at 24% above 5 year average, UK 14%. Publicly available data from PHS and ONS.
it does look like solid evidence now that there are significant excess deaths happening.
though…
if I roughly estimate the former annual death rate at 1.5%, then the higher (by 20%) death rate is 1.8%.
certainly the toxic “vaccines” are short term killlers to a small but significant number of victims.
but these higher rates are not yet game changers for reversing population growth.
c’mon Fausti et al, you gotta do better!
perhaps these rates will accelerate higher into 2022.
That is interesting.
We should have same analysis on death in Israel to have confirmation of this correlation.
I hope someone can do it.
The euromomo.eu data do show excess deaths, but they are comparable to the excess deaths during Fall 2020. I so wish that I could know which data are correct..
https://www.scb.se/hitta-statistik/sverige-i-siffror/manniskorna-i-sverige/doda-i-sverige/
Tabell 5, Column H in linked excel shows mortality for this year.
No excess mortality since january.
Has Sweden started a big round of booster vaccine shots?
No, not yet.
Sweden was late starting vaccinations, so boosters is not started yet. And don’t fool yourself into thinking the end of excess mortality was because of vaccinations. In march only 3% was vaccinated.
“Florida Prohibits Businesses from Mandating Vaccines”
“Florida just passed an act against Biden’s mandates for vaccines which is unconstitutional. Along party lines, really just the Republicans pushed this through where private businesses would be blocked from imposing COVID-19 vaccine mandates unless they allow workers to opt-out for medical reasons, religious beliefs, immunity based on a previous infection, regular testing, or an agreement to wear protective gear.
To think that any Democrat would oppose this when Bill Gates has been forced to admit that the vaccines do not work. There is no difference now for vaccinated can still get COVID and spread it. There is absolutely no basis to discriminate when COVID is not even a major disease. The entire problem is that because this has become political, once a politician imposes draconian measures there will now NEVER admit they were wrong. Those politicians who voted against this measure are unfit for office when now even OSHA has honored the courts and rejected Biden’s plea to refuse to honor the court decisions. ANy politicians who vote for mandates with no exceptions should be voted out of office in disgrace. These people have no respect for human rights or the Constitution.”

Some principals are surprised and angry that there’s been no attempt to keep unvaccinated parents out of schools.
https://www.rnz.co.nz/news/national/456045/allowing-unvaccinated-parents-into-school-events-classes-ridiculous
I think I was surprised by the absolute number. In some DHBs it’s up to around 4 percent of the hospital health workforce, which is a high number, and especially in a system that’s quite constrained.”
He hoped unvaccinated health workers would re-consider their stance when the AstraZeneca vaccine becomes available later this month.
No one can now work in healthcare unless they have had at least one dose of a Covid-19 vaccine or are exempt from the government mandate.
At some DHBs, including Northland, the West Coast and Nelson Marlborough, 4 percent percent of their workforce has been stood down.
The largest number of workers stood down was 154 in Waikato – or two percent of its staff – ahead of the Bay of Plenty, with 123 people and 119 in Counties Manukau.
Nearly 500 of those off the job are nurses.
New Zealand Nurses Organisation (NZNO) Kaiwhakahaere Kerri Nuku said there was already 3500 vacancies for nurses and the situation had reached crisis point.

Gonna be a real problem when NZ goes Gibraltar hahahahahaha hopefully those old f789s who are so supportive of this … suffer. Suffer Goats
Yes, et them suffer
I have to say, developments in N(a)Z(i) re fascinating: so far from the centre of things, but so deep into the Plan…..
And all run by one of the least charismatic dictators ever seen.
Had a few drinks with a group of CovIDIOTS yesterday … they are very distressed by the plan to open up Auckland in December… It seems they are aware of the fact that the vaccines do not stop the spread of the disease… I mentioned that Singapore also has record deaths… to plant the seed that they might die when Auckland opens up 🙂 🙂 🙂
They are bewildered by this policy … but they did not question the upcoming passport system other than to say it is totally confusing …
They do not know that I am a Pure Blood… do I did not raise the issue of why there is a traffic light system at all given the vaccines are useless.
I am looking forward to the influx of north islanders in December… spreading their mutated diseases… wreaking havoc on the CovIDIOTS…. and the total lockdown that is inevitable. Like Gibraltar!!!
MOREONS.
Cool….
N(a)Z(i)
I thought it is some chemical compound
If I’ve understood correctly, Germany adds a new variable to the equation: test also for vaccinated people.
According to the degree of danger of a specific zone, vaccinated people will need to follow 2G+ rule, which means that their ‘passport’ will not be enough, but they will need to show a negative test too.
This seems to be something completely new in the general narrative.
https://www.faz.net/aktuell/politik/inland/corona-gipfel-so-sehen-die-neuen-corona-regeln-aus-17641136.html
Yes, this is true under certain conditions, e.g. for larger indoor events such as clubs, parties, etc. and if a certain hospitalization rate per 100 thousand is exceeded.
The last 25-30% who are not vaccinated are maximal coerced by the state.
“3G” (vaccinated, recovered, tested) is now to be introduced in the workplace.
I was amused by a comment on the Kunstler blog: a commenter said that the Xmas party at his firm in Germany requires the Vaxx, negative test, antigen test and indoor masks.
What fun that will be!
Yes Xabier, it is indeed a strange situation.
Nevertheless I think that the test for vaccinated is a very interesting turning point, because various governments, among them Italy and US, are still going on saying that vaccinated people don’t spread the virus.
Therefore, Germany has now placed a large boulder in the room.
As resources get scarcer, the winner take all phenomenon will just explode.
Everything will concentrate to the top, with nothing, nada for the rest.
The pendulum can only swing so far before it reverts, this ones gonna be scary.
I suspect that I buried the lede in my last piece, so I want to address some of the push-back.
First of all, on the vaccines and whether they work or not: The basic picture that emerges from all of the research to date, and that experience with coronavirus vaccines in animals more or less confirms, is this: The vaccines provide partial protection against infection for a few months. Surprisingly, this protection eventually fades into negative territory.
Thereafter, they are still effective against severe outcomes, but here too their protection wanes, and it wanes fastest of all in the most vulnerable groups. We can only hope that here, at least, the decay stops at zero. Against all of that must be weighed an array of negative effects, the most obvious being that they increase transmission and that they injure and even kill a nontrivial number of people.
While it seems the vaccines can reduce official Corona death numbers, their introduction has coincided with slightly elevated all-cause mortality almost everywhere. The numbers might swing in their favour over the winter, but in the longer term, it is hard to see how mass vaccination won’t turn out to have been a huge mistake.
https://eugyppius.substack.com/p/we-should-think-less-about-viruses
When will they admit that it has been a mistake? Why would anything change in their favor? That statement is confusing
The supposed negative effects (for infection) did not reach significance and was essentially seen in just one vaccine (Oxford/AZ). Also note that the study is a preprint that has not been peer reviewed.
Hey mike … I can get a better price if I bulk purchase… norm and dunc are in …
How many do you want?
https://s.hdnux.com/photos/01/16/13/53/20495054/3/2300×0.jpg
If the vaccines coincide with ‘slightly elevated all-cause mortality almost everywhere,’ it seems like we have a problem. I hope someone will look into this issue.
‘Slightly elevated’. You win the prize for understatement of the day Gail. 🙂
Actually, I was just quoting what the researcher who goes by the pseudonym eugyppius said above.
There was an earthquake that caused the planet to ring at 17 Hertz every 17 seconds.
I believe this was right before Q(anon) entered the scene.
Q is of course the 17 letter in the alphabet.
Truly, you have a dizzying intellect.
What you do not smell is called mrna. It is odorless, tasteless, dissolves instantly in saline and is among the more deadly poisons known to mice and ferrets. Little did you know that I swiched the saline shot with the hot lot mrna booster. I successfully built up an immunity to mrna over the last year by taking the ivermectin protocol and resveratrol. I switched your shot and now you may die within 14 days as unvaccinated without honor or count yourself among those protected from severe outcomes but not infection for 6 months or less. (Princess Bride movie reference, lol.)
Mr Pool just posted this image:

It was commissioned by Rockefeller … who of course is the central figure in just about everything that now appears to be working against us.
The work includes many communist personalities, and rubbed Mr Rockefeller the wrong way.
Oh! And now the map location to the Pyramids of Giza. Four hours to go. Exciting!

He hid his Twitter feed. That was about the most anticlimactic outcome possible.
Oh well, the simple puzzles were fun for a bit at least.
I have seen in the news that Vancouver had some pretty bad floods this week, but thought nothing of it beyond just another storm. But Ice Ager Farmer points out that Canada is the third largest exporter of wheat in the world, and its exports from Vancouver have just ceased, possible for months, because the rail lines that transfer the grains from inland Canada to Vancouver are very badly damaged.
Port of Vancouver CLOSES as BC flooding damages rail & roads
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t4xE4ai115g
“Canada’s largest port by far, the port of Vancouver, has closed, as have the rails and highways connecting it to Canada, after being severely damaged in the flooding in an “atmospheric river” event. The deep water port is responsible for 1/3 of Canadian imports and exports, meaning the grains that the world so badly needs from Canada are not able to get out. And the overflow of goods from other congested North American ports are now wholly unable to get in.”
I’ve got a ring side seat to all the flooding. The washouts and landslides are epic and I doubt they’ll be able to rebuild bridges in mid Canadian winter. Right now we are effectively cut off from the rest of Canada and our grain from the rest of the world.
You have to wonder how that will play out…..
This does sound link a worrying problem. Grains from Vancouver are badly needed by the world economy.
Despite training as a scientist, I currently close vessels for export for one of the world’s largest container carriers, and as luck would have it Vancouver is one of the ports I cover. Yes it’s a big mess right now, but exports closed “possibly for months” is a huge exaggeration — in fact we have a port cutoff for the San Diego Bridge 054W tonight out of Deltaport. There have been delays and the terminals are jammed with cargo so it’s been a pain in the ass lately, but there’s no enduring break in the chain to be seen. Bulk dry cargo (so, grain) is one of the things that has been more difficult to get in, that’s true, but that’s partly because the refrigerated cargo is being protected at its expense. It’s hardly apocalyptic — at least, not yet.
Beyond sick of wasting my life shipping oversized boxes though…
Think of all the people who rely on what you do, though…
I don’t understand your post.
‘Yes it’s a big mess right now, but exports closed “possibly for months” is a huge exaggeration’
The roads and rail system in and out Vancouver are shafted – rail lines, roads and bridges gone, washed away. As Jarvis who lives in the affected area points out, Vancouver is currently cut off from the rest of Canada. How can exports return quickly if there are no roads and rail lines to get the products to Vancouver?
I presume that land slides on to roads are easily fixed, but not land slides that remove the roads. Do you know that road damage is not that bad? Watching the above video, and assuming it is not just made up, the damage to the rail lines looks extreme.
Thanks for the additional information. Not as bad as it sounded.
Another major red flag about Covid vaccines and death
https://www.headsupster.com/forumthread?shortId=352
Well, so far, I have been jabbed 3X, still here so far, just a sore deltoid muscle where I got stabbed. BTW, I’m now 81 & I can still tell my head from my bum!
I knew it!
I won’t argue with anyone over 80 taking the vaccine. If the vaccine makes sense for anyone, it is for folks in the last decade or two of their lives.
Sheila Chambers, when I click your icon, I find that you describe yourself as “I’m a lover of SCIENCE, TRUTH & I can’t stand RELIGION as it’s just lies used to frighten & control us.”
I put it to you that, as presented in the public arena, in the newspapers and on teevee, SCIENCE, TRUTH and RELIGION have all been bastardized (for want of a more evocative term) beyond all recognition. They have all become just lies used to frighten & control us.
Haven’t you noticed that? As an admirer of truthful science, religious truth, and scientific religion, I find it lamentable. But it’s the modern human condition, oh hum.
Yet Sheila is in the Cult of the Injection …
So far I don’t know of a single very elderly person outside a nursing home who has had even the slightest adverse reaction; all those who have been made unwell shortly after injection are much younger.
I wonder how many elderly people are on anti-coagulants these days, probably quite a high %?
Whereas those in homes are wrecks, even if on anti-coagulation drugs.
Jabbed in the bum or the head? 3x? Sounds like a busy night
“People appear to die at rates 20 percent or more above normal for weeks after receiving their second Covid vaccine dose, according to data from a huge Swedish study.”
“Appear to die”. Such phrasing is a red flag to treat the study with a pinch of salt, at least until it has been peer reviewed. As there was no treatment of this aspect of the study data, we don’t have the information to do anything other than generate headlines. The graph used, appearing to show that vaccinated people have more chance of being infected after 9 months, is also a statistic that didn’t reach significance but will be used by those wishing to push a particular story as though it did. What mechanism would cause such an outcome?
Fast Eddy has already mentioned this study (indirectly) and CTG has also posted on it. No doubt others will too, making it appear to be multiple lines of evidence.
It’s simple. Watch the all cause death rates. They’re up e.g. 24% Scotland, 14% England, 10% Germany.
Hmmm, another coincidence with no causal link you say. Just like the 45% uptick in teenage male deaths in England after they started jabbing them, or the athletes dropping dead.
Or there’s the ONS (Office of National Statistics) data showing higher rates of COVID infection in the vaxxed (except in the very young). But the cry goes up “it’s because the vaxxed are more health conscious and take more tests.”
It couldn’t possibly be because their immune systems are irretrievably f–d could it?
Yep, it’s all just coincidence, nothing to see here, move along.
mike is so fortunate that everyone doesn’t Delete Without Reading. It makes him feel special
The ONS? Are you talking of this survey (up to 6 November) which states:
? Just to be clear.
Too long… way too long.
Delete
Fast Eddy, why do you feel the need to let other readers know that you’ve deleted the notification of a comment? Perhaps just do it silently in future? Perhaps you could also let others know your attention span limit so that, if they want you to read it, they will know to keep it that short? Sorry if this is too long for you.

Mr. Pool talked about virus in November 2019. He also told us about the earthquakes off New Zealand in March 2021, 6 days in advance. When he posted an image of Bitcoin being manipulated by him in late summer 2020, it rose by 500% in the coming months.
Mr. Pool has suggested that a reset will take place this autumn.

No idea when or how this subculture got started. Probably a spin-off of Q.
A well-known Slovak anti-vax doctor, who claimed that covid should be treated with vitamin D and ivermectin, has been hospitalized with covid and is treated by the colleagues he was offending.
https://www.cas.sk/clanok/2610105/znamy-antivaxer-a-lekar-dostal-covid-staraju-sa-o-neho-ti-ktorych-urazal/
https://alwaysfreshnews.com/news/world/122248/well-known-antivaxer-and-doctor-has-covid-he-is-in-a-serious-condition-in-the-hospital-topky-sk/
I find it odd that his colleagues felt offended by him suggesting an alternative treatment; do they have difficulty with impartially assessing the effectiveness of the options?
I note that the doctor didn’t suggest Covid itself was fake, so why so offended?
Thanks for sharing the article. It’s important to consider both sides. Will he survive or die? Just to play devil’s advocate without hearing the patient’s own experience, knowing his co-morbidities and/or reading an official chart or report on his condition and treatment we really don’t know if his choice of ivermectin over vaccination helped or hurt him. Let’s wish him the best and try to learn from his struggle.
My neighbor just told me she got kicked out of the hospital while admitting her 87 yr old vaccinated father who survived the virus. The nurse confronted her about her vax status, she said she was recovered with natural immunity and that she doesn’t trust the vaccine, the FDA over her own immune system. She took veterinsry grade Ivermectin and vitamins and did fine. These are tough times, be your best self.
If the above is true, that is another reason why, in general, debates should always follows ‘fair play’ rules.
But what is almost clear to me at the monent is that pro-vax virologists and, in general, doctors who promote Pf/zer vaccine (which is by now the only one which seems to stand up) most of the time deliberately lie or hide important information.
While no-vax virologists and, in general, doctors who promote medical treatments than Pf/zer, most of the time they simply have not sufficient data to prove what they say is correct.
That is a great difference.
McCullough says he has an 85% success rate if he uses these medicines and treats people early.
85%. Not 100%. 85%.
Teak the tist.. take the tist… speak bloody english donkey face

Yep Remdesivir + a ventilator will stop him saying anything else awkward – permanently. Do the Slovak hospitals get the same $30K bounty as in the US?
The actual costs for the hospital in Slovakia are mentioned here:
https://spravy.pravda.sk/domace/clanok/605878-vakcina-verzus-liecba-ide-o-zdravie-ale-aj-o-peniaze/
They get EUR 1.200 in average for one treated patient with covid.
When connected to the ventilation, the price is 10-times higher.
Can someone please, remind me, what term do Drs use when they accidentally cause a patient’s medical condition?
oops
“Iatrogenic injury.” Every study says that there are lots and lots of iatrogenic injuries. In fact, quite a few of them lead to death, especially among the elderly.
For example, this is a study comparing the percentage of hospitalizations involving an iatrogenic injury.

Again… why is there no discussion natural immunity? I have had it got very sick then healed. I was then around people that had it.. they died I didn’t.. it’s that simple it’s a very bad flu like virus. There is so much antidotal evidence everywhere that it is clouding the reality of what is happening. Couple that with news outlets turning everyone who does not get the vaccine Into the problem! I’m just trying to be quiet about it and hoping that this mandate goes away before I lose my job
Good luck!
I haven’t had it myself, though I’ve never practiced any real social distancing. I have very great respect for the virus, but do not fall into fear and panic like so many others. I am 39, eat healthy (lots of veggies and fruits, nuts, almonds, mostly organic animal products like meat, cheese, yogurt) + take a moderate multivitamin/multimineral and in the winter months vitamin D3/K2, go to weight training 2 times a week and try to walk / be in the fresh air once in a while).
The only thing is that I have something called “sensitive bronchial tubes”, so my lung volume is about 10% reduced (as a result of childhood hay fever).
I’m just hoping to get through an infection reasonably well and otherwise the same as you, Sam – that I can somehow get through this madness and keep my job.
Good luck to both of us and all like-minded people out there!
Germany is the leading Country in Europe, like it happened in the past.
But this time Gernany just wants to have an economic and financial leadership, without ‘talking’ to the other countries directly.
This country probalby thinks that having also a political leadership brings nothing good (as in the past).
This is just another sign of the complete failure of the European Union.
Germany should rather have many newspapers and tv channels in English (which is a worlwide known and accepted language, except for French).
On the contrary, they just communicate in their language which is almost obscure for the rest of the European countries.
Sometime it is worth reading their newspapers, in order to understand what’s going on…
‘For Oliver Bäte (CEO Allianz), the warning lights in risk management shine red. He sees valuations in the technology and automotive sectors as completely irrational.’

When there is really not enough to go around (in goods and services) conflict among countries is inevitable. The EU cannot stick together. Germany, or even separate parts of Germany, needs to be separate.
Frost is threatening again to invoke article 16 at any moment if both ECJ and customs checks are not removed from NI.
My guess is that the Tories are just ‘mouthing off’. The WA and TCA imply that the Tories will always ‘cave’ in the end with the EU, even if it is on the last day. Frost cannot expect to be taken seriously with that track record. Arguably, nothing has changed in the power relationship.
The EU position seems to be, ‘Oh yeah, go on then – you know what would happen to you.’
Presumably this will be the final time that the Tories act as if they are ‘manning up’ with the EU, as they really could not expect to be taken seriously if they ‘cave’ again now and ever ‘try it on’ again. This seems to be the ‘last throw of the dice’.
I surmise that the Tories are blustering, they will not do it. The EU seems to think the same.
https://www.express.co.uk/news/politics/1523380/brexit-news-david-frost-eu-article-16-imminent-brussels-talks
> Frost crushes EU hopes of Brexit collapse and stands up to Brussels bullies – A16 imminent
Speaking in Parliament, the Brexit minister said he was standing firm on his red lines in talks with the EU over the Northern Ireland Protocol. Amid suggestions he has U-turned on plans to suspend the international treaty if no breakthrough is found before Christmas, he said there had been no change in his stance.
He told peers: “We are trying to reach an agreement, that’s always been our position. It’s been our position in July, it’s been our position now. I would suggest our friends in the EU don’t interpret the reasonable tone that I usually use in my discussions with them as implying any softening in the substantive position.”
The Government wants to see an end of customs checks for goods that are destined to remain in the North and not travel to the EU. Ministers also want to see the European Court of Justice’s role in overseeing the mechanism removed. Frost has repeatedly said he is ready to trigger Article 16 of the Protocol to use the legal means to suspend the implementation of the international treaty if his demands are not met.
“I would like to make our position on these negotiations and on Article 16 100% clear. Whatever messages to the contrary the EU may think they’ve heard or read, our position has not changed from the one I set out on November 10 or indeed in July at the time of the command paper.
“No decision has been taken to exclude or apply any specific timing for Article 16.”

Completely beyond me.
Pool seems fond of images from the mural in the Denver Airport. Have been there only once but they are creepy and weird, long before the NWO.
Oh, I’ve heard of this! This was mentioned in an issue of the comic book “The Department of Truth”! Apparently the Illuminati have their headquarters in (or under?) the Denver Airport, according to what is apparently a real conspiracy theory (i.e. not just made-up for the comic).
Mr Pool has started a countdown
A blood moon tomorrow
https://mobile.twitter.com/IooP_rM311_7211
We had a rather orange moon yesterday.
We tend not to go to extremes here, of course – except the jab maniacs.
Blood moon, wolf moon, hunger moon, hunter’s moon – names that speak volumes……
People who read horoscopes would say that changes (of some type) are in store. This is a link to an article that talks about different expected horoscope effects. Herbie tried to post this link yesterday, (which I didn’t post in that particular thread):
https://nypost.com/2021/11/16/longest-lunar-eclipse-of-the-century-will-change-your-life-forever/amp/
The article then gives different expected impacts by astrological sign.
I am not sure that I believe all of what the NY Post claims, but I do expect that there are changes in gravitational forces (and thus energy) at the time of eclipse. Somehow, they may affect how the self-organizing economy behaves.
Gravitational forces combined with increased seismic activity at La Palma means we have a 100% chance of doom tomorrow morning. Or maybe not. Who knows. I did enjoy reading my horoscope at the NY Post and it felt really accurate.
“Somehow”?
If only science could explain lunar eclipses…
Total energy production peaked in 2020…and now prices are going parabolic…before they crash.
It is really happening now.
Have any additional information about production peak for total energy in 2020? I thought 2020 was a down year for energy due to C19 but that there has been a steady increase during 2021 to almost 2019 levels? Year isn’t over yet and numbers wont be available for a while. Things seem just about back to normal in the US from what I can tell.
Pre end:

I love this cartoon. This is exactly the problem. The oligarchs think that they can make unimaginable profit in this period. Healthcare and education can somehow prevail as part of our high tech future. The problem, of course, is that the economy needs to undergo a great simplification. Healthcare, education and high technology are part of what has to be scaled back greatly.
The great, and (in a rather dark way) amusing, irony is that they apparently see the elimination of bricks and mortar, of SME’s, of schools, GP’s, cash, privacy, real markets, etc in the great digitalisation as simplification, de-layering, and an efficient response to over-shoot: rather than simply adding another layer of fragile ultra-complexity, doomed to failure.
They should have read Tainter. Back to the drawing board, Klaus, Carney % Co. – the self-organising ecology of our planet has no use for your fantasies of domination. .
They are trying to solve our problems with more digitalisation, such as electronic passports, technological control over people, 5G, electronic currencies and so on, but these features require high energy inputs…
Speaking of Klaus, there is a good breakdown of his ‘School for World Leaders’ here:
https://rairfoundation.com/exposed-klaus-schwabs-school-for-covid-dictators-plan-for-great-reset-videos/
I thought this article exceptional even though the three part interview is in German with subtitles, it is clearly presented. I learned that Merkel was one of his first students and that the NZ Prime Minister also attended. That the individual has to apply to be admitted but that it doesn’t appear on the resume of any of the 1100 graduates(except one, the exception proving the rule).
A kind of shadow world government – now they’ve stepped out into the light.
Ideologically sound people seeded in legislatures, executives, academia, professional bodies, NGO’s and corporations.

Very interesting and strange.
How to conspire to make things work. Everyone should read this article.

how do people believe this sttuff???
crash the worlds economies and we go back to the middle ages or worse–probably much worse.

Mike Yeadon has pointed out just how much research in the life sciences is funded by the trio of Gates, Fauci and Farrar.
Hence the paucity of independent researchers able to go against the narrative.
Worth following his Telegram channel, many interesting links and no rubbish.
This is an excerpt:
Wolff is entirely correct: an engineered crash via lock-downs, with a pre-arranged ‘solution’ – the fully-digitised economy with absolutely no human rights or dissent permitted.
I am unclear as to how replacing the USD (which is already digitized.. I can transfer as much cash as I want with a few flicks of my computer keys…) with fully digital currency (crypto?) ….
Will replenish the oil wells…
If this was possible then why did we bother with fracking… steaming oil out of sand … and drilling miles beneath the sea?
Why didn’t we just use crypto to refill the depleting oil fields decaded ago?
for once we agree with each other eddy
civilisation might survive after all
“Wolff is entirely correct: an engineered crash via lock-downs, with a pre-arranged ‘solution’ – the fully-digitised economy with absolutely no human rights or dissent permitted.”
Tell me, how would you have sorted it out? Perhaps revolt against depleting oil fields?
I’m not sure the OFW crowd is the “problem”. Our “social credit score” is probably 10/10 anyway. Or close thereby.
For sure we write some vile and appalling stuff, but it ends there. Because we know that nothing can be done about the predicament.
“They take away my rights” you might wimpier, so what do you want to do? Shout and throw stones at the police/guvmint and by some unfathomable magic Ghawar will top up. No?
The best scenario for you is to have the herd locked down being blasted hopiates by MSM and the usual “social media” outlets, while the “vax” is doing its thing.
Face it; BAU is over. Get on terms with it. Stop fooling yourself.
Schwab, Fauci and Billy G you might growl? So what? What’s important about them compared with depletion?
Repeat after me:
THE OIL PARTY IS OVER.
If anyone has plans to visit the UK, bring your own urinal!
The UK has closed many public loos leaving many with full bladders & no place to release it, except in the streets!
Ladies, bring a big lidded can or a long skirt so you can squat in the streets or sidewalks & releve yourself if the loo is closed!
I guess when the streets of London smell like a loo they might reconsider their loo removal scheme!
Excellent! Now London can smell like Sanfran
Generally classified information is not accessible…. on very rare occasions when it does leak… the leaker is smashed to bits and labelled a nut job … conspiracy theorist… and the leak is fact checked to death and filed under nonsense…
So whenever I see something like this… I immediately suspect it’s been planted to keep the sniffer dogs away from the real story…
You know like when they get those ‘hot mic’ utterances… does anyone really believe politicians would be caught out doing that?
Check out The Deep State Hiding in Plain Sight on PBS… if the Deep State is all powerful… why would they allow PBS to create a documentary like that? We know the all powerful entity is the Fed and its owners – the Elders… if you want to remain in the shadows you authorize a documentary that identifies the Deep State (which does exist… these are the minions of the Elders)…. as the sinister controlling force.
I can guarantee… there will never be a whiff of anything related to the CEP. Never.
In the article, Wolff suggests that the WEF leaders were picked to do as they are told and will be thrown to the mob as scapegoats when the elaborate charade fails by design to erode trust in leaders and institutions to be ultimately replaced with the great reset.
The WEF collaborators relish in exploiting the pandemic and are working on digital transformation.. its not a well kept secret. IMO, the hot mic revelations and leaks are provocations coming from a place of superiority. The Central banks leaders are openly saying that cash transactions are a threat to the stability of the financial system ie. Elite control. Digital wallets, ID2020 and CBDC’s are all in the news eg. Mastercard is on the ragtag WEF great reset team, Experian is is involved in vax status verification.
Denying something as a conspiracy when it is clearly a talking point with wide support in the media, policy, funding and implentation comes across as gaslighting in a toxic relationship.
From experience, the minor party will at first attempt to use reason with known facts and helpful analogies. When that fails ad hominems are exchanged, picture frames are broken and the targetted individual will lash out, go to extremes, isolate and internalize the abuse.
Reminds me of the part of the movie Shawshenk Redemption where the inmate calls the warden “obtuse” for not allowing him to use evidence proving his innocence. He gets thrown in solitary but resolves to end the corrupt warden. In the end the truth comes, the WEF poobah and his minions will be dethroned and possibly FE, Morgan Freeman and the OFW refigees can escape to a beach in NZ until CEP happens.
I have seen my own society confidently posture as correct and secure throughout my life, and to assert prerogatives of authority. And now I will have to watch the society come apart, as the entire civilisation was ill-conceived and ‘built on sand.’
How do I personally feel about that? Well, there is a certain ‘satisfaction’ in so far as it reinforces my own autonomy and dignity – I am not given to conformity. But, I would not want to do a ‘The Beatles’, and see it as all happening in ‘my film’ – it is, but it is also more than that.
Western civilization made its ‘choices’, and it is going to have to ‘accept the consequences’. If that means that the whole thing is coming down, and that basically everyone is going to die, then it is what it is. What can one say to that?
I plan on surviving and then make my way to NZ to claim possession of FE house.
Yes, we could all meet up again in NZ, and set up a new Republic. The southern island seems to be sparsely populated and to have lots of land.
FE had better watch out, we all might be headed his way after collapse.
We can divide the labour: they raise the sheep and we cook them. 🙂
It’ll be like Morlocks and Eloi…or Orcs and Hobbits!
Or like any society in human history?
The sandflies will drive you nuts on the South Island.
You have out me right off!
Those would have to go!
> How bad are sandflies in New Zealand?
Yes, it’s the humble New Zealand blackfly, commonly known as the sandfly. On occasion, the bites cause nasty swelling, itching, hives, and a general desire to scream. At their worst, in the most intense sandfly-ridden spots of the West Coast, entomologists have recorded a bite rate of up to 1000-an-hour.

“Think of the life you have lived until now as over and, as a dead man, see what’s left as a bonus and live it according to Nature. Love the hand that fate deals you and play it as your own, for what could be more fitting?” as Marcus Aurelius once wrote.
Or perhaps his ideological buddy Seneca with his: “Life is very short and anxious for those who forget the past, neglect the present, and fear the future.”
I always need to remind myself though that those ancient ‘philosophers’ were before all warriors and people very intimately related with the most basic aspects of WTP and products of that old aristocracy validated through blood and spoils of war.

Fortunately I realized in 2009 that the GFC was the beginning of the end.. and went on a bucket listing rampage…
That is over now .. Geno nails it… we are not going back… we are headed into darkness… there is no precedent for what is coming… 8B are going to die… this will be an apocalypse.
I like to think of Taleb … in a meeting with very serious people .. in a skyscraper… in their $5000 suits… their $100 hairs buts… their egos… their condescending attitude… ultimately though they are MOREONS… as Taleb points out…
All that… is about to melt.. everything … doesn’t matter how much cash you have .. how many jets… how posh life is… this is the democratization .. of death and suffering…
Everyone goes.
hahahahaha… isn’t this a great time to be alive???? Isn’t it a great time to die????
haha…
The Latin Stoics are fantastic. Thank you for that.
Ok, the time has come to see who is on the right an who is on the wrong side of reality.
Do you believe that
1) Covid-19 is the Black Death 2 and getting worse,
or do yo believe that
2) Covid-19 is as made up as the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow; a distraction from the end of more?
Come on, show your true colours!

I only had time to look at a few minutes of this 1 hour 28 minute video, but it looks it might be excellent. Near the beginning, it talks about how brains of people watching TV slip into alpha mode slip into an almost hypnotic state, and believe anything that they are told, over and over.
I’ve seen the first half an hour and it’s fascinating.
How American people used to be subliminally brainwashed by their TVs—these days, of course, it’s in your face.
How HIV wasn’t dangerous but fraudulent testing followed by AZT for those testing positive was deadly for thousands.
And how the COVID-19 pandemic is being run according to much the same MO, by the same organizer (Fauci) only on a much much larger scale.
However, nothing on the fake moon landings so far.
After watching it all, I’d say it’s well worth a watch, although it may be a bit over the top. The view expressed in it is that there is no new virus, just bog-standard flu. The flu was hyped into COVID-19 to scare the sheep. People were diagnosed based on meaningless PCR tests and sent to hospital, where they were administered drugs that poisoned them, such as remdesivir which damages the kidneys, causing water retention that fills the lungs and heart with fluid, or placed on ventilators that destroyed their lungs.
Also, the Covid death count was increased in a host of creative ways such as writing Covid-19 on the death certificates of anyone who died of anything provided they tested positive on a meaningless PCR test.
Then—and this is the really clever bit—the high infection and death counts repeated endlessly, plus the mask, social distancing, hand-sanitizer and restricted movement policies enacted ubiquitously, were used to scare the sheeple into being injected, once, twice, and then thrice, with the real bioweapon, which is going to kill millions and ruin the health of billions.
Do I go along with this take? Well, I am open to the possibility that it is a fair general description of what’s going on, and I am sure that some of it is partly true. But it could well be disinfo. The best disinfo is disinfo that pretends to expose other disinfo, and so takes the viewer into its confidence. There were a few places where this documentary veered into what I took to be disinfo territory, the most blatant being an attack on hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin (at 41 minutes in) as “fatal viral medications”.
Also, that voice! That hypnotic tough-guy American voice! It’s extremely convincing. If you had this deep baritone guy on one side and whiney castrato-voiced Bill Gates on the other, which would you be more likely to believe?
at 23.30 “MK-Naomi’s game is to make people believe they have a deadly viral disease that doesn’t even exist in reality, and then slow kill people with the poisonous treatment drug. And the PCR test fraud is at the centre of this technique.”
+++++++++++++
Howabout covid is a bad flu that would have blown over a long time ago if we’d let it run.
And there is a vaccine that kind of dampens the effects for a short time, but has potential side effects that makes it inappropriate except for the 5% in risk groups.
You might add to that, “It is not clear that this dampening effect can even be kept up. We know that the benefit of the third shot wears off more quickly than the first two. It may be that we are putting ourselves on a never-ending treadmill of more and more vaccines, just to try to stay even.”
Obviously #2 if you have a working brain that isn’t stuffed with propaganda. I also loved that cartoon you linked, where did you find it?
Black and white aren’t colours.
It depends how you define ‘colour’.
If you mean the visible light spectrum of light waves, then they are not, and neither is pink.
White and pink result from our eyes mixing wavelengths of light, and black from very little light.
They are all ‘colours’ if we mean ways that our eyes process light and its absence.
