There is more to the fossil fuel energy predicament than we usually hear about.
Strangely enough, a big part of the confusion regarding the nature of our energy problem comes from the fact that virtually everyone wants to hear good news, even when the news isn’t very good. We end up seeing information in the Mainstream Media mostly from the perspective of what people want to hear, rather than from the perspective of what the story really is. In this post, I explain why this situation tends to occur. I also explain why our current energy situation is starting to look more and more like an energy shortage situation that could lead to economic collapse.
This post is a write-up of a presentation I gave recently. A PDF of my talk can be found at this link. An mp4 video of my talk can be found at this link: Gail Tverberg’s Nov. 9 presentation–Our Fossil Fuel Energy Predicament.

Most people attending my talk reported that they had mostly heard about the issue on the right end of Slide 2: the problem of using too much fossil fuel and related climate change.
I think the real issue is the one shown on the left side of Slide 2. This is a physics issue. Without fossil fuels, we would find it necessary to go back to using older renewables, such as oxen or horses for plowing, burned wood and other biomass for heat, and wind-powered sail boats for international transport.
Needless to say, these older renewables are only available in tiny quantities today, if they are available at all. They wouldn’t provide many jobs other than those depending on manual labor, such as subsistence agriculture. Nuclear and modern renewables would not be available because they depend on fossil fuels for their production, maintenance and long distance transmission lines.

On Slide 4, note that M. King Hubbert was a physicist. This seems to be the academic specialty that finds holes in other people’s wishful thinking.
Another thing to note is Hubbert’s willingness to speculate about the future of nuclear energy. He seemed to believe that nuclear energy could take over, when other energy fails. Needless to say, this hasn’t happened. Today, nuclear energy comprises only 4% of the world’s total energy supply.

The transcript of the entire talk by Rear Admiral Hyman Rickover is worth reading. I have excerpted a few sentences from his talk. His talk took place only a year after Hubbert published his research.
Rickover clearly understood the important role that fossil fuels played in the economy. At that early date, it looked as if fossil fuels would become too expensive to extract between 2000 and 2050. A doubling of unit costs for energy may not sound like much, but it is, if a person thinks about how much poor people in poor countries spend on food and other energy products. If the price of these goods rises from 25% of their income to 50% of their income, there is not enough left over for other goods and services.

Regarding Slide 6, the book The Limits to Growth by Donella Meadows and others provided early computer modeling of how population growth and extraction of resources might play out. The base model seemed to indicate that economic decline would start about now. Various other scenarios were considered, including a doubling of the resources. Without very unrealistic assumptions, the economy always headed downward before 2100.

Another way of approaching the problem is to analyze historical civilizations that have collapsed. Peter Turchin and Sergey Nefedov analyzed eight economies that collapsed in their book Secular Cycles. There have been many examples of economies encountering a new source of energy (conquering a new land, or developing a new way of producing more energy), growing for a time, reaching a time where growth is more limited, and finally discovering that the economy that had been built up could no longer be supported by the resources available. Both population and production of goods and services tended to crash.
We can think of the current economy, based on the use of fossil fuels, as likely following a similar path. Coal began to be used in quantity about 200 years ago, in 1820. The economy grew, as oil and natural gas production was added. We seem to have hit a period of “Stagflation,” about 1970, which is 50 years ago. The timing might be right to enter the “Crisis” period, about now.
We don’t know how long such a Crisis Period might last this time. Early economies were very different from today’s economy. They didn’t depend on electricity, international trade or international finance in the same way that today’s world economy does. It is possible (in fact, fairly likely) that the downslope might occur more rapidly this time.
Past Crisis Periods seem to feature a high level of conflict because rising population leads to a situation where there are no longer enough goods and services to go around. According to Turchin and Nefedov, some features of the Crisis Periods included increased wage disparity, collapsing or overturned governments, debt defaults, inadequate tax revenue and epidemics. Economists tell us that there is a physics reason for the rich to get richer and the poor to get poorer during Crisis Periods; in some sense, the poor get “frozen out” and the wealth rises to the top, like steam.

Slide 9 is a chart I prepared several years ago, showing the growth in the world production of fuels of various types. What little wind and solar was available at that time was included in the biofuels section at the bottom. Early biofuels consisted largely of wood and charcoal used for heat.

Slide 10 shows average annual increases for 10-year periods corresponding to the periods shown on Slide 9. This chart goes to 2020, so it covers a full 200-year period. Note that the increases in energy consumption shown are especially high in the 1951-1960 and 1961-1970 periods. These periods occurred after World War II when the economy was growing especially rapidly.

Slide 11 is similar to Slide 10, except I divide the bars into two pieces. The bottom, blue part corresponds to the amount that population grew, on average, during this ten-year period. Whatever is left over I have referred to as the amount available to increase the standard of living, shown in red. A person can see that when the overall growth in energy consumption is high, population tends to rise rapidly. With more energy, it is possible to feed and clothe larger families.

Slide 12 is like Slide 11, except that it is an area chart. I have also added some notes regarding what went wrong when energy consumption growth was low or negative. An early dip occurred at the time of the US Civil War. There was a very long, low period later that corresponded to the period of World War I, World War II and the Depression. The collapse of the central government of the Soviet Union occurred in 1991, so it is part of the 10-year period ended 2000. Most recently, we have encountered COVID shutdowns.
The peaks, on the other hand, tended to be good times. The period leading up to 1910 corresponded to the time of early electrification. The period after World War II was a period of growth and rebuilding. Most recently, China and its large coal resources helped pull the world economy forward. China’s coal supply stopped growing about 2013. I have written that we can no longer depend on China’s economy to pull the world economy forward. With recent rolling blackouts in China (mentioned in the next section), this is becoming more evident.
Without enough energy, the current period is beginning to look more and more like the period that included World War I and II and the Great Depression. Strange outcomes can occur when there basically are not enough resources to go around.

Slide 14 shows recent energy production. A person can see from this slide that wind and solar aren’t really ramping up very much. A major problem is caused by the fact that wind and solar are given the subsidy of “going first” and prices paid to other electricity producers are adjusted downward, to reflect the fact that their electricity is no longer needed by the grid. This approach tends to drive nuclear out of business because wholesale electricity rates tend to fall to very low levels, or become negative, when unneeded wind and solar are added. Nuclear power plants cannot easily shut down. Instead, the low prices tend to drive the nuclear power plants out of business. This is sad, because electricity from nuclear is far more stable, and thus more helpful to the grid, than electricity from wind or solar.

Fossil fuel producers need quite high energy prices for a variety of reasons. One of these reasons is simply because the easiest-to-extract resources were removed first. In recent years, producers have needed to move on to resources with a higher cost of extraction, thus raising their required selling prices. Wages of ordinary citizens haven’t kept up, making it hard for selling prices to rise sufficiently to cover the new higher costs.
Another issue is that fossil fuel energy prices need to cover far more than the cost of drilling the current well. Producers need to start to develop new areas to drill, years in advance of actually getting production from those sites. They need extra funds to work on these new sites.
Also, oil companies, especially, have historically paid high taxes. Besides regular income taxes, oil companies pay state taxes and royalty taxes. These taxes are a way of passing the “surplus energy” that is produced back to the rest of the economy, in the form of taxes. This is exactly the opposite of wind and solar that need subsidies of many kinds, especially the subsidy of “going first,” that drives other electricity providers out of business.
Prices for oil, coal and natural gas have been far lower than producers need, for a long time. The COVID shutdowns in 2020 made the problem worse. Now, with producers quitting at the same time the economy is trying to reopen, it is not surprising that some prices are spiking.

Most local US papers don’t tell much about world energy prices, but these are increasingly becoming a big problem. Natural gas is expensive to ship and store, so prices vary greatly around the world. US natural gas prices have roughly doubled from a year ago, but this is a far lower increase than many other parts of the world are experiencing. In fact, the bills that most US natural gas residential customers will receive will increase by far less than 100% because at the historic low price, over half of the price for residential service is distribution expenses, and such expenses don’t change very much.

Slide 17 shows another way of looking at data that is similar to that in Slide 14. This slide shows amounts on a per capita basis, with groupings I have chosen. I think of coal and oil as being pretty much the only energy resources that can “stand on their own.” The recent peak year for combined coal and oil, on a per capita basis, was 2008.
Natural gas, nuclear, and hydroelectric were the first add-ons. If a person looks closely, it can be seen that the growth rate of this group has slowed, at least in part because of the pricing problems caused by wind and solar.
The “green” sources at the bottom are growing, but from a very low base. The main reason for their growth is the subsidies they receive. If fossil fuels falter in any major way, it will adversely affect the growth of wind and solar. Already, there are articles about supply chain problems for the big wind turbines. Any cutback in subsidies is also harmful to their production.

US papers don’t tell us much about these problems, but they are getting to be very serious problems in other parts of the world. The countries with the biggest problems are the ones trying to import natural gas or coal. If an exporting country finds its own production falling short, it is likely to make certain that its own citizens are adequately supplied first, before providing exports to others. Thus, importing countries may find very high prices, or supplies simply not available.

This slide got a lot of laughs. The university does have some sort of agricultural plot, but teaching subsistence farming is not its goal.

My point about “scientists who are not pressured by the need for research grants or acceptance of written papers are the ones trying to tell the whole truth” got quite a few laughs. As a practical matter, this means that retired scientists tend to be disproportionately involved in trying to discern the truth.
With the military understanding the need to work around energy limits, one change has been to move away from preparation for “hot wars” to more interest in biological weapons, such as viruses. Thus, governments of many countries, including the United States, Canada, France, Italy, Australia and China, have funded research on making viruses more virulent. The vaccine-making industry also supported this effort because it might enhance the industry’s ability to make and sell more vaccines. It was believed that there might even be new techniques that would develop from this new technology that would increase the overall revenue generated by the healthcare industry.
Questions came up, both during the talk and later, about what other changes have taken place because of the need for much of the audience to hear a story with a happily ever after ending, and because of the known likely decline of the economy for physics reasons. Clearly one thing that happens is successful entrepreneurs, such as Elon Musk, aim their production in areas where subsidies will be available. With fossil fuel production not making money, fossil fuel producers are even willing to undertake renewable projects if subsidies seem to be high enough. The issue isn’t really, “What is sustainable?” It is much more, “Where will the profits be, given where subsidies will be, and what people are being taught about how to perceive today’s problems?”

In fact, what has been happening in recent years is that a great deal of debt has been added to the world economy. Mostly, this added debt seems to be creating added inflation. It definitely is not leading to the rapid extraction of a great deal more fossil fuels, which is what really would allow the production of more goods and services. If inflation leads to higher interest rates, this, by itself, could destabilize the financial system.

I tried to explain, as I have in the past, how a self-organizing economy works. New citizens are born, and old ones pass away. New businesses are formed, and they add new products, keeping in mind what products citizens want and can afford. Governments add laws and taxes, as situations change. Energy is needed at every step in production, so availability of inexpensive energy is important in the operation of the economy, as well. There are equivalences, such as employees tend also to be customers. If the wages of employees are high, they can afford to buy many goods and services; if wages are low, employees will be very restricted in what they can afford.
In some sense, the economy is hollow inside, because the economy will stop manufacturing unneeded products. If an economy starts making cars, for example, it will phase out products associated with transportation using horse and buggy.

A self-organizing economy clearly does not operate in the simple way economists seem to model the economy. Low prices can be just as big a problem as high prices, for example.
Another issue is that the energy needs of an economy seem to depend on its population and how far it has already been built up. For example, roads, bridges, water distribution pipelines and electricity transmission infrastructure must all be maintained, even if the population falls. We know humans need something like 2000 calories a day of food. Economies seem to have a similar constant need for energy, based on both the number of people in the economy and the amount of infrastructure that has been built up. There is no way to cut back very much, without the economy collapsing.

I am not exactly certain when the first discussion of the economy as a dissipative structure (self-organizing system powered by energy) started. When I prepared this slide, I was thinking that perhaps it was in 1996, when Yoshinori Shizoawa wrote a paper called Economy as a Dissipative Structure. However, when I did a search today, I encountered an earlier paper by Robert Ayres, written in 1988, also discussing the economy as a dissipative structure. So, the idea has been around for a very long time. But getting ideas from one part of academia to other parts of academia seems to be a very slow process.
Debt cannot grow indefinitely, either, because there needs to be a way for it to be paid back in a way that produces real goods and services. Without adequate energy supplies, it becomes impossible to produce the goods and services that consumers need.

Attendees asked about earlier posts that might be helpful in understanding our current predicament. This is the list I provided:

I can tell you first hand what this Apartheid feels like. I live in Germany, my wife and I are vaccinated but our young daughter is not as we are unwilling, to give permission, until we have more data, for her to become a long term medical experiment. In our state all unvaccinated school pupils are tested in school three times a week and the teachers write a certificate stating effectively that she is “ clean”.
A couple of weeks ago we went to the Christmas fair. However this year there was a large fence all around it (only one entry and exit for hundreds of people ……) and someone checking for 3G+ ( vaccinated , covid recovered or PCR test) as the rules in the county had changed overnight and the lady who we spoke with told us ( falsely has it later transpired) that our daughter needed a PCR test to enter and showed us a long line of people waiting to pay 148 Euros for a on the spot PCR test.
We decided to leave it. My daughter was hugely disappointed. I was so angry with the government. This was just a trip to the fair and I was really surprised at my strong emotions. Imagine that she was locked in the home unable to attend school or see her friends as one stupid Green politician has suggested should happen, yes even to unvaccinated children.
The politician was asked by a reporter whether to facilitate this, she would consider a change in the law to allow home schooling (which is illegal in Germany), to which the reply was that the unvaccinated child would still be obliged to attend school in person and the parents would be responsible for the consequences. (Therefore, everyone knows full well that in Germany this would follow a very predictable path. The parents would be fined, then taken to court, potentially jailed and the child taken into care and presumably then vaccinated).
And that ladies and gentlemen is a flavour of the dystopian madness that is no doubt coming your way very soon.

“I can tell you first hand what this Apartheid feels like. I live in Germany, my wife and I are vaccinated but our young daughter is not as we are unwilling, to give permission, until we have more data”
So they needed more data about these experimental drugs before injecting their daughter but they did not apply the same rule for he and his wife? Just plain dumb.
There are not enough resources for everyone. Someone has to be picked as an out-group. That is about the only explanation I can figure out.
I’ve wondered about that one … I know quite a few people who say they are happy to be part of the experiment but will not enrol the kids…
You’d think it would be the other way around… what a great opportunity to get rid of those irritating expensive vermin…. here kids come get the Boosters!!!
Devil Covid seems to be emerging in Israel
https://mobile.twitter.com/DistroDr/status/1460879658950348808
My impression is that we are not there (or, if you want, we are not there yet).
On israeli newspapers they paint their actions as a great success (!).
They say that their actions should be replicated soon in Europe in order to avoid negative consequences on the fourth wave.
After the booster, they say, only not vaccinated went to hospitals (and although they were in total little number in their Country, they were still the majority of the cases in hospitals).
Of course we should have all the correct data to analyze that.
Including data of (short term) adverse effects and deaths after vaccination.
And including what kind of medical treatment the positive persons have been suggested to follow before entering the hospitals.
https://www.haaretz.com/israel-news/booster-shots-put-a-halt-to-israel-s-delta-wave-can-they-do-the-same-in-europe-1.10391260
I can understand why Israel thinks that it is successful. For right now, it is doing fine, but it may very well do much worse in the long run. The “vaccines” seem to have some short term benefit, which degrades over time, and may become negative. They seem to wear off increasingly quickly.
These are some charts I put together.
In terms of current cases, the count is indeed down, compared to what it was in the past and compared to quite a few other countries.
https://ourfiniteworld.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/Israel-7-day-reported-cases-compared-to-other-countries-Nov-17-1024×598.png
In terms of recent deaths, it is also doing fine.
https://ourfiniteworld.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/Israel-New-Deaths-relative-to-other-countries-Nov-17-1024×598.png
On a cumulative basis, Israel’s COVID case count is extremely high, compared to most other countries. Either the vaccines are helping spread cases, or Israel is super conscientious about reporting cases. The US is also very high with respect to cases relative to population.
https://ourfiniteworld.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/Israel-cumulative-reported-cases-compared-to-several-others-1024×598.png
When it comes to cumulative deaths relative to population, Israel’s position depends on which countries it is compared to. Compared to the US, EU and Russia, its deaths are low. Compared to the Global Average, India, Japan, and the Republic of Congo, its deaths are high.
https://ourfiniteworld.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/Israel-cumulative-deaths-relative-to-other-countries-Nov.-17-1024×600.png
Many thanks Gail for you deepening.
When you say that the benefit of the ‘vaccine’ can become negative, it came to my mind the hypotesis that the goal to inject the vaccine to children is probably to protect adults (besides the objective to crown the vaccine as safe for everyone).
Because the marginal advantage of a 4th or 5th dose is maybe becoming lower and lower.
Therefore they are trying to relieve the possible danger coming from children to adults.
In other words they are transforming the community of vaccinated people like a fully ‘Marek disease’ community.
This seems to be a clever and evil scheme, but I still think that something will break at a certain point and the scheme will go off the cliff..
Let’s hope the scheme ends quickly. We don’t need the virus to get worse and worse and kill all the unvaccinated.
No not quite there… yet
The number of cases looks like it is very low in Israel. I don’t think that Devil Covid is emerging in Israel.
How does he do that?

https://unherd.com/2021/11/this-is-how-civilisations-collapse/
The question is, what is the aim of this sort of medical apartheid? It surely cannot be to save the vaccinated as it would be ludicrous to lockdown the unvaccinated to protect those who have already been vaccinated against the illness they sought a vaccine for. We are on very shaky ground if the aim is to protect the unvaccinated from themselves. We don’t ban the obese from McDonald’s or alcoholics from pubs. It would seem ridiculous to ban those who refuse the vaccine from going about their daily lives. It is also morally indefensible to ban people from going about their daily lives in case they get ill. I didn’t think ‘Our NHS’ discriminated like that.

The whole story is just strange!

Reading this part, I would say that we are exactly in the same situation.

‘Oxford University’s Professor Carl Heneghan, an eminent expert in evidence-based medicine, said he suspected many of the excess deaths were “potentially reversible”.’
So if we die, that can be reversed? A new vaxx side effect we have not heard about yet?
Side-effects are ‘transitory and treatable’, so of course Death is reversible!
St Fauci will raise them up!
The logic is impeccable. And the faith inspiring!
I trust The Science, don’t you?
I am wondering to what extent excess deaths are occurring in many parts of the world now.
In the US, there seem to be reports available in different formats. My impression is that recent deaths are high, excluding COVID. US September deaths are not fully reported. They seem awfully high. August deaths are also very high, compared to 2020 and expected.

hillcountry, here’s something for you to chew on… Someone came across papers to do with vaccines which sterilize animals: https://conspiracies.win/p/140Is3CI1V/an-anon-pointed-out-that-the-cov/

Latency to effectiveness – PZP is not effective until after at least 2 injections (typically given at 2-4 week intervals), depending upon species and adjuvant. There must be a minimum 2-week interval after the last injection before the male is placed with the female. The timing of booster inoculations is species-dependent and each institution will be advised regarding booster inoculation intervals.

Effects of Seven Consecutive Years of Porcine Zona Pellucida Contraception on Ovarian Function in Feral Mares
During the initial year of treatment, each mare received either one (n = 14), two (n = 18), or three (n = 18) inoculations (2-3 wk apart) of 65 μg of native PZP; each received a single annual booster inoculation thereafter. PZP treatment over 6 yr, equaling 105 mare-years, resulted in four foals (3.8%) compared to a 46.2% foaling rate for the untreated population. Twenty-seven mares received their initial inoculations during the later stages of pregnancies (280–340 days), and all 27 delivered foals. Twenty-one of these foals lived to 1 yr, and this survival rate (77.7%) did not differ significantly from that of 25 foals (84% survival rate) born to untreated mares. As evidenced by pregnancies or luteal phase iPdG patterns and concentrations, ovulation rates declined over 6 consecutive years of treatment. The ovulation rates after a single year of treatment, 3 consecutive years, and 7 consecutive years were 73.3% (11 of 15), 55.5% (5 of 9), and 10% (1 of 10), respectively. One mare was withdrawn from treatment after 5 consecutive years of treatment and ovulated during the sixth and seventh years of the study.

I saw that Steve Kirsch obtained some vials of the stuff, so we might soon find out what’s in at least some of it…
Let’s pretend there is some plan like that to sneak in sterilization. Would it be adequate to reduce population and resource usage in the time frame needed? I believe it’s wishful thinking, bargaining for a less bad scenario, such as we wont have a financial collapse.. it will just be a little stagflation or a sharp correction in the market. If our benevolent elite overlords want to save the planet and reduce co2 by having a demographic collapse it’s probably not going to go very well for anyone including them once we start going over the seneca cliff of energy. Sorry. I’ve been feeling a little extra doomy lately.
That would be amazing if true.. because that would mean that Utopia gave it all away a decade ago… I don’ think that is the plan because we are hanging on for dear life both in terms of energy and the economy….
It’s possible that they have a mistaken idea as to how much renewables and ‘innovation’ can deliver in 10 years or so, so feel they have time in hand regarding energy, particularly once they have the control grid in place.
Xabier, that could very well be. I keep thinking of my MIT lab friend who thought people would re-vitalize his frozen head. His hope and aspirations were such that he wasn’t disposed to entertaining the likely obstacles.
thanks Lydia17, that’s some ‘wake-up call’ stuff there. Scanned a mess of titles over at PubMed searching “PZP” and had to just slide into ‘pattern-recognition’ mode they were so unfamiliar. Hit this one and thought “whoa, that was 30 years ago, what are they able to do these days?” Are we gonna see Minotaurs anytime soon?

Primary structure of pregnancy zone protein. Molecular cloning of a full-length PZP cDNA clone by the polymerase chain reaction
Abstract
A full-length cDNA clone of the human pregnancy zone protein (PZP) was cloned from the hepatocellular carcinoma cell line Hep3B. Based on the exon sequences of the PZP gene (Devriendt et al. (1989) Gene 81, 325-334; Marynen et al., unpublished data), primer pairs were designed to amplify six overlapping fragments of the PZP cDNA.
===========
Wonder how much unpublished data there is and how much gene-dinking is really going on. How many people are involved in the labs and universities and medical research and computational parts of it? Must be a lot. Like Gail’s Super-Organism is allocating tremendous resources that way. Is it attempting to find some stability via gene-dinking? One thing that jumped-out of the study you linked was the seven-year part of the equation. These folks must have tremendous resources at their command. I haven’t paid much attention to the gene stuff and didn’t realize the connection of PCR and its primer pairs to whatever a “cDNA clone” is (suspect that’s just a synthetic copy of the real thing, right?). What you’ve spotted and extrapolated is really amazing to consider. It sure would put the ultimate-doomer-perspective to bed (well for survivors that is) if the Morlocks are steering the Eloi into some highly-engineered break-away civilization. They sure don’t appear to be worried about next year or whatever time span most of us operate in. That line of thought wonders about the insistent commitment to building-out these massive lithium-battery plants all over the place. It really looks like there’s a leap in the works (but to what) because they don’t appear to be worried at all about not having a market for the cars and trucks that are planned to accept these components, nor the grid-capacity and generation of power to charge them. Maybe it’s just momentum. It puzzles me that underestimating those things about which we have no way of knowing might undermine attempts to penetrate our reality. Like our imaginations can barely keep up with whatever that Eye in the Pyramid is looking at. Thanks for getting me away from Vitamin D research. That one’s a dual-edged sword for sure.
Jung observed that terminally-sick people, with only weeks or months to live, rarely have dreams relating to that obvious fact.
It might be that our civilisational ‘unconscious’ rejects Collapse, hence the Bio-Techno-fantasies which assume long-term project viability?
Another factor might be that they consider all economic problems can be met by monetary manipulation – after all, it’s worked so far.
So projects will be funded and every innovation will find buyers…..
Interesting things you found. Thanks for bringing them to our attention.
These are the sorts of casual asides that I find glaring after my own sketchy pharma Rxs: “Twenty-one of these foals lived to 1 yr, and this survival rate (77.7%) did not differ significantly from that of 25 foals (84% survival rate)”
Just eyeballing it, 78 as opposed to 84 is a 6% difference in 1-year survival of the offspring. What I find fascinating is that “The Science” can waive/wave this difference away in a Jean-Luc Picard “make it so” sort of fashion… Clinton-like, “we” can decide what the definition of “significant” should be.
It also doesn’t hurt that this is a painfully small test cohort (as was Pfizer’s covid-injection test cohort intentionally small). Did they follow up on survival after one year? (Unlikely.) If not, why not?
=====
>>>> Can anyone here (maybe Mike?) imagine a drug-testing scenario in which human infant survival varied by 6% and that was deemed No Big Deal… “not significant”??? <<<<<
Whether or not this ends up directly connecting to the covid situation, the more one peels away the layers of the modern research onion, the more horrific and anti-useful it appears to be.
They mean _statistically_ significant, i.e., this data has failed to demonstrate that the difference isn’t due to random chance. It’s heavily dependent on sample size (in a larger study, a difference of far less than 6% will be ‘significant’).
That does make a certain degree of sense.. thank you.. and yet in these cases they just seem to steam ahead, don’t they?
Why carry out experiments with such small numbers of subjects? This was the issue with the paper that “justified” the chemo I was given.. number of subjects was something like 14.
It raises the question, what *would* rise to the level of significance? If not 6%, then 12%? 20%? It seems arbitrary.
Mainers will have to cut down on watching porn next year.
https://www.pressherald.com/2021/11/09/mainers-to-face-double-digit-shock-in-electricity-supply-rates-next-year/
A majority of Mainers could see the rate they pay for their home’s electricity supply jump between 60 and 80 percent next year, based on assumptions provided to the Legislature by the state Public Utilities Commission, as well as wholesale prices observed by energy experts.
Home customers of Central Maine Power and Versant Power who buy their electricity via the PUC’s “standard offer,” or default power supply, now pay roughly 6 cents per kilowatt-hour, or $33 for the typical 550 kWh of use a month. Assuming a 60 percent rise to 9.6 cents per kWh, the cost of power would climb to nearly $53 a month. Such an increase would push an average residential customer’s bill, which also includes a distribution charge, from about $90 to $110.
It’s not only possible, it’s almost certain,” Rich Silkman, chief executive of Competitive Energy Services in Portland, told the Portland Press Herald on Tuesday.
As the article says, the average residential electricity charge has been about $90 per month; it will now be $110 per month. This is a 22% increase, because a big part of the charge is distribution expenses, which are pretty well fixed.
There is some discussion in the article about how much adding solar energy will add to costs in the future. Solar panels in Maine?
Germany is in the grip of a “dramatic” fourth Covid wave, Chancellor Angela Merkel has said on the eve of a crisis meeting with regional leaders.
Daily infections hit a new German record of 52,826 on Wednesday as European governments responded to a surge on much of the continent.
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-59320515
hahahahahaha
A ‘wave of infection’ which is as disconnected from the vaxx programe as the ripples on a pond when a stone has been thrown in……
All to order, all as planned.
Already delayed beyond 2027. It will probably turn into an incinerator of the unvaxxed.
ITER Fusion Reactor Fails Nuclear Regulatory Agency Inspection
http://news.newenergytimes.net/2021/11/10/iter-fusion-reactor-fails-nuclear-regulatory-agency-inspection/
By Steven B. Krivit
Nov. 10, 2021
ITER, the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor under construction in France, has failed a periodic inspection by ASN (Autorité de Sûreté Nucléaire), the French nuclear regulator, New Energy Times has just learned. The ITER organization has not publicly disclosed the four-month-old report, which New Energy Times located on the ASN Web site last week.
The ASN Report
In the report, the most serious issue identified by the inspectors was that parts of two very large components, sectors of the vacuum vessel, fell during manufacturing and sustained damage. The ASN report does not provide details of the damage.
The report also states that inspectors discovered the forgery of certificates of welder qualifications, found gaps in welds, and detected leaks in cooling tower basins. Inspectors wrote that one of the areas at the reactor construction site was not accessible to them on the day of the inspection. Inspectors also noted unsatisfactory responses to their requests for documents from the ITER organization.
The inspection took place on July 2, 2021, and ASN sent the report on July 20, 2021, to Bernard Bigot, the director-general of the ITER organization. The failure of the organization to publicly disclose the report and publicly respond to the issues raised in the report is alarming.
ITER is a public science project funded by taxpayers representing half the world’s population. It is a nuclear experiment that is pushing the boundaries of fusion science. The public has a right to know of safety lapses uncovered in a regulatory inspection, as do the members of the staff working on the project.
Tiny Tolerances
According to the ITER organization’s Web site, “positional tolerances for the largest components, including the magnet coils and the vacuum vessel, are as low as two millimeters.” Here are the key comments from the ASN report on the two damaged vacuum vessel sectors:
English: Parts of the sectors of the vacuum chamber fell during handling at the manufacturing sites, in South Korea in April 2021 and in Italy in May 2021. The inspection team looked at the management of these deviations and the preparation of the necessary repairs. The root cause analysis was not yet completed for the 2 deviations, and some documents concerning the repairs for the fall at the Italian site were not available on the day of the inspection.
If the parts sustained dimensional distortion when they fell, it may not be possible to bend the components back to the correct dimensions. Some sort of repair, if possible and if approved by the regulator, will be necessary. If repairs satisfactory to the regulators cannot be made, the project will suffer yet another major delay while waiting for replacement parts to be manufactured in Korea and Italy and delivered to France.
In a report on the previous inspection, from March 30, 2021, inspectors wrote that “questions persist about the qualification of manufacturing materials and welds” about the vacuum vessel pressure suppression system. Inspectors were also concerned about protection of the system with regard to fire resistance.
You are reporting on a new nuclear power plant under construction in France.
Here in Georgia, USA. two new Votle Nuclear Power Plants are being built. Construction keeps being delayed. These power plants are out by the coast, but here in the Atlanta area I am already paying part of these costs.
Story from October 2021

So, the plant in France is not alone with its problems.
Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and senior aides holed up in a nuclear command bunker to simulate an outbreak of a vaccine-resistant COVID-19 variant to which children are vulnerable, describing such an eventuality as “the next war.” “The most disturbing article of this week,” said Polly.

ah, they probably just read Taxi’s update (NOVEMBER 2, 2021 AT 9:17 AM) on her last article at platosguns titled Dorothy versus Hassan. She’s got a keen eye for the many nuances of what’s happening over there, plus she lives right on the edge of it all in the Leb as she calls it. Those realities make our problems here in the states look like a walk in the park.
It is a very strange situation.
Because it is not clear to me if they are trying to replicate what has been predicted in this movie or it was the movie which predicted what would happen.
And the movie had exactly Israel as location in the fiction.
Again my question is: how can we get out from this nightmare?
The only way out of this nightmare is death at this point, I’m afraid.
We shall endure it until the end.
let it be the death of the enemy
I do like that thought, Ed.
‘An axe time, a sword time, a splintering of shields!’
Make them pay.
See you in Valhalla?
Boothe also highlighted how President Biden originally told the American people “you’re not going to get COVID if you have these vaccinations,” despite Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky’s admission that “vaccinated people infected with Delta can transmit the virus,” and the “vaccines can no longer prevent transmission.”
Boothe questioned how effective the vaccines are at preventing COVID death. She referenced how former CDC director and now senior advisor to Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan, Dr. Robert Redfield, said 40% of the recent COVID deaths in the state of Maryland were among the fully vaccinated. In Vermont, 76% of COVID deaths in September were among the fully vaccinated, Boothe noted.

This is nice.
‘Here we are, watching the sun go down – we are connected’ – a bit like us all on this forum, ‘watching the sun go down’ of industrial civilisation.
(UK happy hardcore survives in euphoric trance.)
Lately their have been comments regarding the content of the comments as being innapropriate conspiracy theory. I liking a sarcasm in my writing style may have contributed to this. I feel with current events its time for a change. The comments section has been a place where we can try to make sanity out of what we observe. In that we have personal needs. Those needs are secondary to the need for communication that current event demand IMO.
Its not disputed that the injections do not stop covid infection nor do they prevent its spread. Dr Walensky director of the CDC has stated this.
Here is just one clinical research study that confirms
https://www.thelancet.com/journals/laninf/article/PIIS1473-3099(21)00648-4/fulltext
No meaningful diference between Vaccinated and unvaccinated in infection and transmission of the delta virus. That statement is not disputed.
I would argue that because the “vaccines” mask symptoms of infection that they create more transmission. There are asprcts in the clinical research above that imply the same thing more transmission in the vaccinated but lets set that aside.
No meaningful difference in between vaccinated and unvaccinated in infection and transmission of the delta covid virus.
This is demonstrated in countries with high vaccination rates. The R0 metric- how many one infected person infects- is a exponential function. We would expect exponential decrease in all covid metrics if R0 decreased with vaccination percentages. This is not observed.
No meaninful diference between vaccinated and unvaccinated in infection and transmission of the delta virus.
More vaccinations can not and will not stop more transmissions and infections. NOT DISPUTED.
So how is it al we hear on the MSM is the unvaccinated are to blame for not stopping covid?
?
?
So what is a favorable outcome one associated with the legacy of vaccines?
The R0 , the number of people each infected person infects drops below one ERADICATING THE VIRUS.
The current covid “vaccines” are not capable of this. The manufacturers never claimed they would. It was hoped they might. They do not.
Lets compare this to the two prophylactic (preventative) clinical research studies for Ivermectin. When used prophylactic a drug is basically providing the function that we associate with a vaccine and that may or may not entail eradication of the disease by dropping R0 below zero.
http://www.ivmmeta.com
One study shows 95% effectiveness in stopping infection and transmission with monthly dosing. One very large study shows 100% effectiveness in stopping infection and transmission with weekly dosing. This is with high exposure health care workers. 58% got infected in the control group vs 0% in those taking Ivermectin prophylactic.
Ivermectin was determined safe in two drug approval safety studies that did not just skip the safety part of a drugs authorization. One of these was for prophylactic use for river blindness. ! ! ! Ivermectin then showed no problems used prophylactic for decades sold over the counter in Africa.
So we have in Ivermectin a drug that has passed and exceeded all safety criteria that has the possibility and probability of ERADICATING COVID.
What are we waiting for?????
Wheres the conspiracy theory???
Is clinical research now “conspiracy theory”?
Instead we demonize this nobel prize winning drug as “horse paste” in the media?
But we authorize emergency authorization skipping the safety trials of a completely new gene therapy class of drugs that DO NOT STOP INFECTION TRANSMISSION OR ALLOW ERADICATION OF COVID INSTEAD??
And inject them into children and pregnant women?
MANDATE THEIR USE?
Where is the conspiracy theory? What part of these statements are incorrect or biased? Why is it inappropriate to be EXTREMLY CONCERNED about these events? What part of my questions and statements are inconsistent with scientific discovery? Why is it that I should not be AMAZED and CONCERNED that the television bleats about the unvaccinated day and night.
This demonstrates the issue at hand… there are those on OFW who will never accept that governments conspire… that is why they are unable to connect Covid to the Oil Story…
So they demand the end to the conspiracy theories and they demand that the discussions include the word oil.
And that is going to result in frustration – for these people.
Whenever I see the word Covid – I see peak oil all over it
I am not sure that governments conspire. They act based on many different issues, simultaneously. It may look like governments conspire because the same issues dominate the concerns of citizens everywhere. The basic issue is not enough energy for all needs, simultaneously. This leads to wage and wealth disparity. Leaders feel that they need more control; vaccines look (sort of) like they are a way to control the situation. The story is more that people believe in vaccines, much more than they really work.
COVID vaccination requirements are part of what pushes the economy to contract, in the fact of inadequate energy supply. It is a way of bringing government down to a smaller size, without announcing a plan to reduce its size. Perhaps it will also reduce the amount spent on healthcare and education. It is hard to see how the pieces all fit together.
How about governments lie to the MOREONS.
They lied about the moon landings… they lied about 911 … they lied about JFK… they lied about WMD.
And they are 10000% lying about Covid/Injections. They are not telling the MOREONS about the true purpose of any of this. Not just the US government – every government on the planet
gotta love it
using moonloonery and WTC wackery as ‘authentication’ for any covid ‘truths’ that may be on offer
we demand to know what the conspirathon will be for 2022 eddy
we need to get in training
Gail, I disagree. Governments increasingly conspire. Have you not seen the video compilation where they all chime, “Build Back Better”? I’ll link it below. These people are operating under marching orders.

I think of “governments conspiring” meaning that they get together in a hidden way. Here, the WEF and other groups are trying to pull the world economy in this direction, by training huge groups of leaders in the nonsense that they teach.
You probably saw the other link on this subject:
https://rairfoundation.com/exposed-klaus-schwabs-school-for-covid-dictators-plan-for-great-reset-videos/
Exposed: Klaus Schwab’s School For Covid Dictators, Plan for ‘Great Reset’ (Videos)
I don’t know whether the term conspiracy is the right word.
Well, they “breathe together” multiple times a year, at Davos, at the G-whatevers, at the COPs and so forth.
It’s not like they lack opportunity.
Nor do they lack motive.
Just because the “conspiracy” is being flaunted in our faces doesn’t make it less of a conspiracy, I don’t think. Only the controlled MSM is using this language currently in a negative way and as a cudgel to beat back anyone opposing the open communist/globalist takeover of all governments on earth.
Yes, it is “hidden”, but only to those who don’t want to see it. I’m not sure if that changes the definition.
Also, Gail, I offer that it IS hidden to 99+% of the population. It’s only weirdos and cranks like us, a tiny percentage, who are actually paying attention to what is going on and what they are doing.
For all intents and purposes, to the average person, it might just as well be a secret.
If you went to the local mall and did a poll, asking how many people had heard of “Klaus Schwab” or “Albert Bourla” or “Jacinda Ardern”.. what do you think their answer would be?
It is all a game….
Exactly FE: no energy and resource crisiseses, no Covid, no Vaxx.
Isn’t that right, Larry?
Excellent comment. Well said. And not a hint of sarcasm in it. Anybody who can’t understand what you’ve written and nod their head approvingly is either a SHIll, a BOt or a MOREon.
I completely agree with you JJ.
I think we are all falling in a horror spiral.
Just to make an example: I talked with a business contact this morning.
Inside their company they are all vaccinated, he told me that a woman inside their office resulted positive to Covid and infected other colleagues (all vaccinated of course).
The person I talked with told me that the woman had Covid probably because of her little son, who is not vaccinated (guilty criminal child!).
Of course nobody can verify this accusation, but it is the prefered choice.
The person I talked with told me that himself made a test to verify if he was positive or not and then, after resulting negative, he went to take his third jab!
He was extremely happy of that and he proudly told me ‘I’m super-vaccinated now!’
How can we get out of this nightmare?
CEP. That’s the only way out.
Not so bad to die if everyone else is dying .. no FOMO.
FE feel free to die. I will take your house when you are done with it.
You need to understand that Fast Eddy must exist right until the very end… so HE will not be forced into the injection … HE cannot die prematurely… otherwise there will be no Second Coming?
“This Anti-Globalist Alliance will have to bring together the Nations that intend to escape the infernal yoke of tyranny and affirm their own sovereignty, forming agreements of mutual collaboration with Nations and peoples who share their principles and the common yearning for freedom, justice, and goodness. It will have to denounce the crimes of the elite, identify those responsible, denounce them to international tribunals, and limit their excessive power and harmful influence. It will have to prevent the action of the lobbies, above all by fighting against the corruption of state officials and those who work in the information industry, and by freezing the capital used to destabilize the social order.”
Cardinal Vigano’s most recent statement.
They certainly can try, I guess, but there are so many ways to fail that several redundancies should be built into their project.
Prof. Desmet says we cannot get out of the nightmare without resorting to creating an even bigger fear that snaps people out of the old fear. We can only abide and stand our ground.
What people got themselves into against all reason, they are not going to be able to back out of using reason. They certainly can be challenged, and mocked.. that might create some cracks in the armor.. but I don’t think we are going to see a wholesale re-assessment until the vacx damage becomes overwhelming and thus undeniable (and maybe not even then – necessary, but not sufficient). The Puritans in Salem never said “remember that whole witch thing? We were wrong about that..” It just went down their memory hole after being abandoned.
Think of the “sunk cost”.. that “super-vaccinated” fellow has now bet three times on what he thinks is his lucky number. We have seen relatives of people dying of/with covid after jabs: “If they *hadn’t* been jabbed, it would have been *worse*”, they say. Worse than death? This displays the depth of the mass psychosis.
I am afraid what you say is right:
People have been led to believe a strange story. We now have a a mass psychosis on our hands.
Let’s see what happens to them when they realize the vaccines are useless… and Devil Covid arrives… they wont understand that the vaccinated created Devil Covid…
Doesn’t matter… cuz people will be dying by the billion — just like those chickens
http://www.fasteddypr.com launched a campaign targeting two teens who are being mandated to inject or lose their jobs…
Fast Eddy has used PR 101… deliver a campaign of unrelenting Fear … data showing injuries and deaths… stories about athletes with damaged hearts… a video of Maddie in here wheelchair blubbering and suffering etc etc etc..
Fast Eddy’s job was not so difficult because the teens have no access to TEE VEE … they do get a bit of pro vaxx propaganda from friends … and they are aware of that the CovIDIOTS go to the drive through for injections in big numbers…
But with minimal exposure to MSM Fast Eddy was always destined to succeed.
The teens have given their verdicts — We Reject the Poison. We Stand with Fast Eddy.
WE… HOLD … THE … F789ing LINE

Now we’ll see what the boss has to say about their work prospects as they divulge their intetions this weekend.
The other issue I see is that the number of overall deaths is rising in many parts of the world, as mentioned by Eugyppius yesterday in his post. UK seems to have this effect.
I couldn’t look closely at US deaths, but they seem to be up more than the should be, based on COVID counts alone. The total death rate seems to be up where it was when COVID deaths were much higher.
https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/nvss/vsrr/covid19/index.htm
Yes, it’s just the un-vaxxed, the un-vaxxed.
In a way it’s a bit like being in early Revolutionary Russia, in Moscow say, when the Bolsheviks are running about robbing and killing at will , but all one hears about is the ‘great danger’ posed by the bourgeoisie – those starving, unarmed, broke, people hiding in corners……
A complete reversal of the facts: the most dangerous spreaders of infection are innocent, the most harmless and intelligent, a grave danger.
I question my sanity after exposure to the MSM, it is so extreme. Of course, that’s the power of propaganda-saturation.
Xabier, I like almost all of your comments. They’re so good I don’t usually feel like I could add anything. This one is over-the-top spot-on. I’ve worn out hip-waders going through the literature on that Bolshevik nightmare. You completely capture the essence of the reality-inversion, the fears, the mayhem. And so compressed, wow
not to mention the deft analogy that just rolls off your keyboard like it’s as natural as can be
You can tell the people (mostly British/Europeans) who have had a classical education.
That’s why “they”‘ve wanted to stamp out that sort of education.
British schools do not give a classical education. General intelligence cannot be increased through education, anyway. It all depends on the health of the brain.
Americans can have some strange ideas about Britain.
Well, Mirror, during my childhood there were still a number of public schools in the US where Latin was taught. They phased this out not least because ‘diverse’ students could not handle the material. That British schools may not impart a classical education today is no doubt due, in part, to similar constraints.
I wasn’t even thinking primarily about Britain, more about Italy, where my husband is from. There, they still attempt a degree of classical education. He knows history and geography extremely well, embarrassingly well, and rightly makes fun of us Americans who are absolute dolts and retards when it comes to those subjects (having been made intentionally so).
While I believe it’s true that basic intelligence is not something that can be taught, there is also something to be said for “street smarts”. If children never learn history and geography as a backdrop to the legacy of various peoples, and their formation in the various fires of confrontation, but are instead fed the liquid pabulum/Soma of political correctness, those children are going to be at a disadvantage.
Think of the horrific cases where children have been raised in closets and basements by psychopaths. These children may have started out with a normal outlook and a normal complement of neurons, but they never recover.
Because mike norm dunc were raised by packs of dogs… that is why they think on the level of dogs
Let’s say, ‘beyond a certain degree of deprivation, they cannot effectively recover”.
A classical education has never been extended to the masses in Britain. Race has got nothing to do with it. Private schools do not do the classics either.
People educate themselves here. It is not really necessarily to learn ancient languages, as the texts were all translated long ago; and a knowledge of the languages does not imply a familiarity with the texts. Philosophy is obviously the crown of a classical education, and one picks up a bit of Greek in so far as it is necessary to grasp key terms – certainly not grammar or a broad vocabulary. There is not really much original in the Latins.
It is a bourgeois society now and education is aimed at fitting kids to enter the workforce. How much education is really needed for the vast majority of jobs in Britain is arguable. Obviously it is much easer to understand a society when one lives in it. The ‘book’ route to understand modern Britain is no doubt possible. A good ‘rule of thumb’ might be: ‘if you got an impression of Britain from a Hollywood movie then it is almost certainly a ridiculous image of the place.’
X is simply learning to mistrust the British state. We are all socialised to it, and it can be unpleasant to withdraw from that. Perhaps you were excited by his reference to the Bolsheviks, which is a standard ‘go to’ for the ‘far right’ – basically anything that happens is ‘Bolshevism’ rather than what has always been staring them in the face, ie. their own societies. Hence the wonky ‘flattery’.
‘A complete reversal of the facts: the most dangerous spreaders of infection are innocent, the most harmless and intelligent, a grave danger.’
Thanks.
On the other hand, to my shame and embarrassment, it took me until the second half of 2020 to really see what was happening.
The ‘Techno-Bolshevism’ phase, we might call it – I wish I were wrong!
Xabier, have you come across James Delingpole? He also reports a general epiphany due to covid, and has professed a (re?)dedication to Christianity as a result.
As a Yank, I don’t know how to “read” him as would someone closer to the Oxbridge scene. I appreciate him for the fact he interviews interesting people fpr his podcast, but he is a little bit “wanker”-ish. I would likely skirt him at a party (but still hover nearby so as to eavesdrop).
As a student of Monty Python since the age of 12, I’ve always been intrigued by the import of one’s accent in the UK. (I have no particular issue with this since I think it is normal for people’s brains to take short-cuts in figuring out who is potentially friend vs. foe).
When I hear BBC reporters today, it’s hard for me not to laugh, because -what are we? fifty years on?- I hear the precise accents that were adopted mockingly by the Pythons.
You mean Breitbart London? Americans trying to recruit Brits to goodness know what they think that they are even on about. The only reason why the British state has not blocked it is presumably because it makes the ‘far right’ look so bad that they could have written it themselves.
Generally Americans understand very little about Britain or how the British think. BL takes a ‘lowest common denominator’ approach that is liable to appeal to very few bar the least educated in Britain. If some people want to embarrass themselves on there then that is clearly up to them.
I can see why… bit of a dorque…

Xabier, limiting exposure to the propaganda is critical. Go to the pub and chat with like minded folks.
What a mindblowing ride this scamdemie has been, amigo Xabier.
But more than in the USSR of 1918, I’m feeling the perplexity of a 1933 German liberal or social democrat who suddenly saw all his friends signing up for the Nazi party or happily marching to Nazi rallies. Wtf! I feel like, but you idiots weren’t for individual freedom, the right to one’s own body, the Democracy (R) etc and against censorship?!
Sigh. I never suspected that my friends were so gullible and so lazily stupid. And this was perhaps the saddest and most unpleasant piece of news that 2020 has brought to me.
JMS, yes western civilization was tissue paper thin. It is gone dissolved by the constant drizzle of lies from the media.
Worse than that, Ed, our educational system is so rotten and deteriorated that most people need the help of an expert to know what’s two plus two. And the average intelligence of course is thinner than a dragonfly’s wing.
thanks jj, that’s going out to my dwindling contacts. One of them might be stirred to awareness by your clarity and passion. The way you wrote that just shreds the dogma like the wood-chipper scene in the movie Fargo. Who’d want to be on the wrong end of that, or on the wrong side of history for that matter?
https://thecovidblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/Richard-Rowe-indoctrinate-kids.png
Why stop there… is it fair to marginalize bea-stiality? Why not show children videos of that? And then there’s S&M… every kid should be exposed to a bit of spank…
This is where channels such as P-or n Hub serve a useful purpose in society… what is wrong with having a 40 minute block of time each day to watch videos from this site? There is such a wide range of great content — each day could be dedicated to a different fetish…. there are categories such as Asian… Bi-racial – Les-bo… bi… gay… Arab… MILF….mature… 3some etc….
And each class can be ended with a twerking contest…
As expected … society is circling the gutter as it all goes to pieces
Speaking of twerking… check out “Club Grandma”…

Oh no … is there way to unsee that?
One assumes she is just shuffle dancing, Lidia.
You wouldn’t really inflict a twerking granny on us, would you now?
She’s doing the best she can with her sciatica…
Nurses are fed up.
Historic Long Beach Hospital To Close Emergency Department
https://losangeles.cbslocal.com/2021/11/17/historic-long-beach-hospital-to-close-emergency-department/
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) – A nearly 100-year-old hospital in Long Beach will shutter its emergency department this month.
Community Hospital Long Beach (CHLB) announced Tuesday that it will phase out its emergency department and acute care services over the next week.
Beginning Wednesday, Los Angeles County Emergency Medical Services Agency closed CHLB to 911 ambulance dispatches.
Then, on the morning of Nov. 24, the emergency department will close to all walk-ins and visitors.
Molina, Wu, Network LLC — the nonprofit healthcare group which has been operating the CHLB since it leased it from the city in December of 2019 — indicated the closure was due to staffing issues.
“Available staffing for acute care units has become increasingly challenging,” MWN said in a news release Tuesday. “In addition, several nurse registry staffing agencies have indicated their intent to cease providing services to Community Hospital Long Beach, effective this current month.”
CHLB first opened back in 1924. It was controversially closed in 2018 when its then-operator determined a state-mandated seismic retrofit was too expensive.
It partially reopened in January of 2021 to help neighboring hospitals which were stressed by the influx of COVID-19 patients. It then fully reopened in May.
As they realize they are caught in a never-ending trap of Boosters… and observe the wrecked bodies checking in to the Hospital California… we’ll see more quitting

I personally enjoy Fast Eddys comments content, humour and style. If they offend i pass it over with a laugh, however there is a recent example that i must bring to attention.
Sheila Chambers is a commenter here who has contributed for a long time. Fast Eddys attack on her and his sexual inferences were despicable as was his threat of further insults in a attempt to influence her post contents in the future. It was particularly deplorable as she is a women. We need more women here not less. Sheila is known and respected here as a occasional poster. Fast eddy your comments and threat to her were completely unacceptable.
I disagree with about 95% of Norman Paggets posts. I have attributed the banter between Norman and FE to two friend/enemys exchanging blows. I have noted what I see as over the line sexual innuendo comments from FE directed at Norman. Norman to his credit has responded eloquently but without meanness and malice of direct sexual innuendo.
To eddys credit he has dealt tirelessly with trolls over the years expending much energy and effort. It truly has been a great contribution. Perhaps his methods with the trolls were necessary evil. And perhaps it is being displayed why necessary evil is never a good idea.
I demand a sincere apology from you Eddy to Sheila. Until I see it I will never enjoy your posts again. You represent something here that I have respect for, a lot of respect, but that respect is gone without a apology to Sheila. Your actions are disrespectful to her, the blog, and our host. Correct your behavior.
Everyone makes mistakes. I sure have. What shows character is not being perfect but whether you are accountable, and the actions you take to address. Even the junkyard dog gets put down when he is just too mean.
Tensions are high now. People are very concerned about what is going on. What one person thinks is off-topic is very much on-topic to someone else.
Sorry, I don’t have the time/energy to review all the comments that go up ahead of time. I would like to think that commenters could behave civilly.
I did go back and delete the offensive comments I could find.
Thanks for being this understanding Gail.
Pressure has been steadily rising, partially because of energy decline and supply chain disruption, partially because of governments increasingly frantic & totalitarian responses.
For what it is worth: the COVID-line is very much on topic as far as i’m concerned, but i do think we need people with different views to continue to question things.
I personally believe that there is ample evidence that the current approach to COVID carries a much wider and darker agenda . But if all of us here would fully subscribe to that view, we would be increasingly subjecting ourselves to confirmation-bias which carries its own risks.
I’ll admit FE’s comments have brought more smiles and grins to my face than anything else the past months, but hopefully those wo think differently are strong enough to bring their own humor to this place. Norman sometimes does attempts to do exactly that, so surely others can do to if it is so important to them ? And if it is really really important to you, perhaps you can provide some peer-reviewed scientific papers without conflicts of interest that support your views ?
Regards to the OFW readership & commenters
The thing is…
Fast Eddy only referenced Sheila’s friends… burned out street walkers / oprah book club members… so if the friends would like FE to apologize they first need to prove they are not burned out street walkers…and oprah book club members (the street walker thing is actually cool)
As for Sheila — Fast Eddy seems to recall being insulted — along with the other wild dogs. — for discussing Covid — instead of the price of oil…
Again – Fast Eddy will discuss what Fast Eddy wants to discuss. HE does not give a damn about what Sheila wants… or her ‘friends’. Fast Eddy is not some dancing clown and will not respond to ‘dance clown… dance… make Sheila’s friends laugh’
That is Not the way it works.
Sheila is calling for censorship on OFW… Sheila wants the narrative controlled… Fast Eddy thinks there is already plenty of censorship in the world already… and more is not necessary…
Why aren’t the videos of Biden’s scum bag son with the ho ok ers not on CNN? And the laptop … oh the lap top…. and the fake Russia garbage…
Why isn’t the BBC running with Mike Yeadon … or Bossche… why is the MSM censoring the deaths – and the wrecked bodies – courtesy of Fizer.
And Sheila Demands that we talk about oil or she’ll leave and not invite her friends.
Oh NO!!! This is a tragedy. Sheila won’t come back.
Fast Eddy reiterates — if Sheila and others want to discuss the price of oil – go right ahead… don’t expect everyone else to go along with that… we are not here to entertain Sheila – and her friends…
We are discussing the response to Peak Energy. That is Covid. That is the Injections.
No doubt those who cannot see the connection are triple injected bone heads who believe every utterance that emerges from the puckered hole that is in the position of a mouth on Fauci. He can blow kisses and gas out that hole….
So no – Fast Eddy does not feel HE has anything to apologize for… in fact Fast Eddy demands that Sheila apologize for Demanding that the Core be censored and forced to talk about the price of oil…
Sheila is the villain in all of this…. it’s this type of thinking that gets people into trouble .. that gets them injected with an experiment … dying and suffering in the hundreds of thousands….
And it’s what is going to get poor Fast Eddy — a whipping boy if there ever was one — entered into the wrong side of the NZ apartheid regime come December.
Poor Fast Eddy… HE asks for nothing … HE only wants a little freedom…. is that too much to ask for?
For those who still demand Censorship — search _____________ enter … Select all… Delete.
Of course nobody does that though …. because everyone loves to watch the car crash.
I have to say, of the people complaining about the current content of comments.. they don’t seem to be, themselves, offering anything along the lines of what they claim they would like to see and discuss.
Thinking and feeling is cheap, writing is hard.
Bravo, FE

Eddy nailed it with this TBH. C*VID and the energy decline are inextricably interlinked.
As is largely the rest of what’s going on.
It’s all connected to a dissipative structure that is now collapsing due to less energy flux through it.
One thing i have learnt about comments here over the last decade. Not a single one changes the path the world is on. If you can’t stand the heat then get out of the kitchen (especially as it all appears to be burning to the ground now).
I am more than happy for everyone to comment as they wish as I have now fully mastered the up and down arrow keys.
“as I have now fully mastered the up and down arrow keys”
nice
I think the quality of the content section would be vastly improved by limiting each poster to a single comment per day, Harry McGibbs excepted.
Brilliant idea… makes total sense… if Mother wants OFW to wither and die….
For the sake of comparison, JMG’s comment sections are robustly curated–no profanity or personal attacks are allowed, for instance–and are a welcoming place full of intelligent discussion and mutual respect.
Excellent – I’d like to suggest the DelusiSTANIS shift to that utopian wonderland… but then we’d lose our entertainment on OFW.
This is one of the reason why I don’t hang around JMG’s comment sections. The acoustics are too well designed and managed. There’s a hell of an echo echo echo in there there there…..
yup, I got a bad case of tinnitus and it bounces all over the place whenever I visit JMG’s recording studio.
Check out this hillcountry gem. https://bluerocktexas.com/
Billie and Dodi hosted unbelievable house-concerts once a month. We lived a couple miles from their place.
I find the divide between arguments and the person putting them forward artificial. Take figures like Billy Goat and The American Mengele, in my book those evil bastards deserve all the attacks and more!
That’s true; but unfortunately JMG does censor ideas as well, for instance refusing to entertain the idea of the Great Re-set being implemented, which it so obviously is.
The vaxxes are about more than Big pharma’s ‘greed and incompetence’ as he maintains. So simple a thesis is not tenable, as it was early in the year.
Then again he is perhaps hoping to creep under the censorship/cancellation radar by imposing that rule.
This is absolutely true. I like JMG’s ideas but he seems way too idealistic in terms of just denying the fact that the Great R*set and the jabs being connected etc…. as if they are all c*nspiracy th*ories…
Yet c*nspiracies are demonstrably real and these seem to be ones that really happening….
What look like conspiracies may, in fact, represent the fact that the same problems occur many places because of too much wage and wealth disparity. Also, Mainstream Media’s resources are spread so thin that they rely on all of the same sources. These sources publish the same story, because it is the story that advertisers and politicians want to hear. Politicians read MSM news, as do most of the constituents, so there is the problem of everyone depending on the same wish list. And, of course, leaders like Anthony Fauci and Bill Gates herding the group in a similar direction. Indirectly, they are trying to get more funding for the pharmaceutical industry, among other things.
I just read a comment on Dreamwidth by JMG to the effect that he fears fake CT-ers inciting violence in comments might try to get him into trouble and his blogs banned.
A Druid has to protect his income – and potentially personal liberty – after all.
I say, “nay”. Marching orders.
https://swprs.org/the-wef-and-the-pandemic/
JMG uses way to many words when writing, can’t be bothered any more …
At one time, he told me that he reads every comment before it goes up.
JMG’s comment section has reached the tenor of Musak (elevator music).
> Muzak
Which is fine, because it’s his virtual living room, after all…
I noticed a long time ago that something in his temperament needs for things to steer in a “Goldilocks” direction: neither too hot in one direction, nor too cold in another. I think there are other possibilities, myself.
Really great article Gail. Love sending people over here. This last bit really hit home for me.
“Another issue is that the energy needs of an economy seem to depend on its population and how far it has already been built up. There is no way to cut back very much, without the economy collapsing.”
Detroit has been very much a model of what happens “even if the population falls”. From a high of 1,850,000 in 1950 to 639,000 in 2020. I’d suspect you would characterize Detroit’s 2013 bankruptcy of almost $20 Billion to be a reflection of future goods and services that couldn’t be met, thus the shared Chapter 9 resolution. Here we are 8 years later and we see an Office of Mobility Innovation with a Bicycle on the webpage Mast-Head and a Shuttle-link just below. Hmmm, looks like Mid-Town central core focus to me. Projects on Roads, Water, Sewer, Business Corridors identified on that page total maybe $750 million over the next five years, say a ball-park of $150 million a year. The planned spending is described as “investment” and “bond-funded” and then there’s DTE Gas + DTE Electric reported to be doing a bit of gas-improvements and meter-changes and tree-trimming.
All in all it looks like the City is planning on spending $235 per-capita yearly on maintenance and a bit of upgrade essentially. That being a nice dinner out for 4 these days, it makes one wonder what things will look like in 5-years. They claim about 11-percent unemployment but the poverty rate is 35-percent and 33-percent are under 18-years of age, with a median-age of about 34-years. Hard for me to figure out how that 11-percent unemployment number is calculated; against what base? Sounds to me, just off-hand, they got a big problem in the works. From another article of August 2021 we hear evidence that reminds of similar reports from Chicago.
“Much of Detroit’s population shrinkage in the last decade came from the loss of Black residents. The latest census figures show the city, which was 77% African American in 2020, lost 16% of its Black residents from 2010. The number of Black Detroiters fell by more than 93,000, to just more than 493,000. That’s down from 586,000 10 years ago when the city was 83% Black.”
I interpret that to mean that the black middle-class is leaving the Motor City, just as it is the Windy one. Sure, there’s some gentrification but most of that is sports, eateries, casinos, conventions, and artsy-fartsy high-end life-style stuff, not production workers in any great numbers. So, what’s going to happen? Can Detroit outrun the decline of cheap and available energy? Who is going to do all the work it takes to even maintain the city? Hearing about that migration out didn’t surprise me but if you succumb to the Public Relations you’d think Detroit is hunky-dory and on an upswing.

You’ll like this one Gail. It’s just a tad dated but right up your data alley.

How’s that for on-topic? Us energy-hawks have to keep up the neighborhood appearance.
“By 2030, six out of every ten people in the world are expected to reside in cities,” said Maimunah Mohd Sharif, Executive Director of UN-Habitat. “We need an urgent change in mindsets, policies, and approaches towards urbanization to ensure nobody is left behind. We look forward to working with the World Economic Forum to advance the New Urban Agenda and Sustainable Development Goal 11 to make cities inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable.”
“Congratulations to the City of Detroit and thank you to all the people who championed this iconic American city as home of the World Economic Forum Global Centre for Urban Transformation,” said Governor Gretchen Whitmer. “Michigan has led the way in bringing together public and private sectors to creatively solve issues from transportation to small business relief for decades and Detroit is the perfect place to leverage that approach to improving urban living worldwide.”
https://www.weforum.org/press/2021/08/world-economic-forum-to-establish-global-centre-for-urban-transformation-in-detroit/
Thank you for that. Wow. The last guy quoted is Stephen Zoegall, described as the Lead for Global Cities, Transport and Infrastructure, Accenture. I did a little backgrounder and found this patent page.
https://patents.justia.com/inventor/stephen-zoegall
I’ve been wondering for years how it would go down, given the significance of the Detroit River and the Great Lakes. I used to think it would slowly turn “Chinese” with immigration coming after all the business deals were completed. You can tell people how much Chinese business outreach is going on here and they never believe it. I figured a few years ago it was at least 50 major outfits wining-and-dining and conferencing and golf-outing all over the state. Research on that front is like putting on those special glasses in the movie They Live. That’s why I joke that Fast Eddy needs to come here and hang his hat on Zug Island to help us do a Paul Revere when we see their ships. The gentrification has been pretty brutal on long-term apartment residents in Detroit. The stories are numerous and heart-rending.
So if this was “blue-printed”, maybe even before Dan Gilbert bought all of those office buildings downtown, what a story. Maybe I’ll get with Charlie LeDuff. They probably have him on the payroll but it’d be fun to see what he thinks is going on. Way back in the day we had the Anchor Bar by the river where all the Detroit News guys hung out and A.C. Lindell’s where most of the TV guys drank, so it was pretty easy to stay current with city affairs. Can’t imagine how tight-lipped things might be nowadays. Noticed a Desmond R Duggan on the patent mentioned above. He’s gotta be related to the mayor Mike Duggan. What would Kwame say!! This reminds me of those kids that used to film Agenda 21 meetings in Los Angeles and ferret out all the regional-planning by unelected people. Same thing here, only bigger I’d guess. I’ll come back and add to this after I’ve had a chance to digest this amazing link. Thanks again.
Thanks for your comment and links.
With less energy per capita, maintaining big cities is going to be harder and harder. Detroit gives us an early view of what happens when population of a city decreases substantially. Loss of automobile manufacturing hurt the city.
The Black middle class is moving out to the suburbs now, at least around here (Atlanta). That tends to leave the cities worse and worse off.
Replenish linked to an article called, “World Economic Forum to Establish Global Centre for Urban Transformation in Detroit.” The WEF clearly has a problem on its hands to fix.
Gail – I wrote a long response to Replenish last night that didn’t post. Might it be in WordPress limbo? I’m planning on digging further on the players involved. One or more of which actually have patents associated with transportation planning. Hey, if you’re gonna re-arrange the furniture might as well get paid, right? Thanks for checking.
Sorry, I don’t check for posts caught by WordPress while I am asleep. I am on US East Coast time. It should be up now.

Too many whistle blowing nurses?
https://www.ncsbn.org/PolicyBriefDisseminationofCOVID19Info.pdf

Policy Statement: Dissemination of Non-scientific and Misleading
COVID-19 Information by Nurses
Purpose
To address the misinformation being disseminated about COVID-19 by nurses.
For the purposes of this statement, misinformation is defined as distorted facts, inaccurate or misleading information not grounded in the peer-reviewed scientific literature and counter to information being disseminated by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Statement
Nurses are expected to be “prepared to practice from an evidence base; promote safe, quality patient care; use clinical/critical reasoning to address simple to complex situations; assume accountability for one’s own and delegated nursing care” (AACN, 2021).
SARS-CoV-2 is a potentially deadly virus. Providing misinformation to the public regarding masking, vaccines, medications and/or COVID-19 threatens public health. Misinformation, which is not grounded in science and is not supported by the CDC and FDA, can lead to illness, possibly death, and may prolong the pandemic. It is an expectation of the U.S. boards of nursing, the profession, and the public that nurses uphold the truth, the principles of the Code of Ethics for Nurses (ANA, 2015) and highest scientific standards when disseminating information about COVID-19 or any other health-related condition or situation.
When identifying themselves by their profession, nurses are professionally accountable for the information they provide to the public. Any nurse who violates their state nurse practice act or threatens the health and safety of the public through the dissemination of misleading or incorrect information pertaining to COVID-19, vaccines and associated treatment through verbal or written methods including social media may be disciplined by their board of nursing. Nurses are urged to recognize that dissemination of misinformation not only jeopardizes the health and well-being of the public, but may place their license and career in jeopardy as well.
Too much meddling by oligarchs protecting their territory.
We’ve experienced a few outstanding nurses working the home-care beat for regional organizations networked with hospitals. So if you’re caring for a 96-year old like we are, she has her doctor who’s tied to the hospital, and two regional outfits sort of swapping roles, possibly competing in some way, with Medicare-billing software on-site and a fairly tight procedural-driven encounters that also allow for a bit of extra time getting to know the nurse. They’re pretty careful about what they say, sticking to standard advice and guiding the patient’s care-givers (us) to their sophisticated library of information. It’s going well.
No mandates yet here. They’re wearing masks but not worried about us at all. No idea about their vaxx-status. We’re open about going the Ivermectin route. We’ll see how it plays out. Fortunately we don’t need the Medicare if it comes to that. Nobody we know has a clue where that’s going, I’m sure in a pinch we’ll figure it out. It would be rough down the line if authorities didn’t allow care givers, nurses or doctors in our home. Sooner or later you’re talking back-alley morphine if Mom’s pain ramps to that level. Sucks to think about those possibilities. Hospice is a very compassionate service. We’ve been through it a couple of times and have been real close to others who have as well. Hard to say how nasty these assholes are going to get, given what they’ve done so far, but I sure hope Nurses stay well. They’re the real angels we’ve encountered throughout this mess.
Thanks for taking care of Mom. My Dad and his girlfriend cared for her 90+ yr old mother when both of the women suffered from the virus. Dad’s gf (early 70’s) is prescribed prophylactic HCQ for Shrogens and passed the virus in stride. The senior lady developed congestion and low oxygen so they took her to the hospital. She spent most of the day with another elderly Covid patient without food or adequate liquid, was eventually admitted then discharged to at-home hospice care with a DNR bracelet on her wrist.. clear neglect. I read another report of hospitals triaging elderly patients and slapping DNR tags on them. She lived another month, enjoyed stellar love and care from family, friends and hospice nurses and died with dignity.
Glad to hear that last part, and thanks, it’s a blessing to share these few remaining years. It’s fortunate your Dad had his gf’s help on the hospital trip. Even the decent ones can be pretty rotten when that triage stuff is going on. Did that a couple times with her just before the crisis in Feb 2020. That DNR bracelet thing is ugly. I’m surprised we’re not hearing about people going Michael Douglas (Falling Down) on hospital admin. Take care!
It’s just a matter of time… “i’m staying here with my wife and my kid.. I’m not going anywhere!”

Very entertaining
The title says it does not appear to cause events but if you actually read the article you find it says the long term risks are unknown. In fact it reads like mRNA “vax” is a perfect mechanism for triggering cancer in principle.
This Future Virology Journal article is dated Aug 2021.
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8436783/
The article is titled: “mRNA-based COVID-19 vaccines appear not to increase immune events in cancer patients receiving immune checkpoint inhibitors.
The pro-inflammatory potential of mRNA, which is more prominent than DNA, provides a self-adjuvant activity and makes mRNA a popular vaccine candidate against viral infections. However, vigorous pro-inflammatory activity of mRNA per se results in both local and systemic inflammation, including autoimmune responses, particularly when administered in lipid nanoparticles.
We do not have enough data regarding the long-term effects of mRNA-based COVID-19 vaccines in cancer patients treated with ICIs.
One of the most common concerns about using mRNA-based COVID-19 vaccines in patients treated with ICIs is irAEs.” (immune checkpoint inhibitors ) and (immune-related adverse events).
I tried to read through the article. It does not strike me as a very good article. It sounds to me as if the authors are saying that there isn’t much data yet. As a result, the title does not go well with the article.
Regarding what data there is on this subject the article says:
So, the data they have is not good at all.
The article also says
The article ends with
Thanks, that led to an new idea for a search-criteria at PubMed. “Checkpoint Inhibitors and Retinol” for 1,420 papers. The first page of 20 is loaded with potential. Number 6 is a 2020 paper about using Vitamin A against Covid-19. Another is about checkpoint inhibitors (EGFR inhibitors) exacerbating differentiation and something they call cell-cycle arrest induced by retinoic acid and vitamin D3 in acute myeloid leukemia cells.
Grant G. thinks retinoic acid is hidden inside the lipid nano-particles in two of the vaccines (it’s a highly inflammatory molecule). Since that knowledge would be compartmentalized if it’s the case, I wonder what it’s like as a researcher to not be in-the-loop. Whenever I read “systemic inflammation” and “autoimmune” I think retinoic acid.
“As Internal Combustion is to Transportation, Retinoic Acid is to Gene Dinking”.
Probably the most-studied molecules out there for the fact of all the things some would like to see them accomplish. What’s a little human auto-immune after the millions of poor lab animals subjected to these affronts against nature in the name of some greater good. The original Wolbach & Howe rat-studies, where they inadvertently poisoned the critters that died in 10-weeks or less; with lesions and blindness and broken bones and all the kinds of shit Retinoic Acid can do; is a testament to the intermittent blindness of science. And then interpreting their results that there was a lack of this “Vitamin A” causing the deaths!!! There was a chance to take another road, with contrary evidence using different animal-feed mixes where the test animals thrived, but those studies were ignored and buried. It’s like there’s some strange fascination to study the daylights out of poisons to the point where these types think they can get to some supreme control of them or something and all the damage along the way is collateral and necessary if lamentable. Food manufacturers don’t even have to label the VA-content anymore, it’s voluntary. Completely nuts when so many kids here are walking around with undiagnosed Hypervitaminosis A.
Ooops, meant that to go under Vaxxident’s comment.

The US government may run out of money by December 15, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen warned Tuesday in a letter encouraging lawmakers to raise the country’s debt limit to avoid a default.
If it is not one thing, it is another. The debt limit problem keeps getting put off for a short time and then reappearing.
COVID vaccine debate topics

Vaccine safety
We have 8 different ways showing the vaccines have killed over 150,000 Americans so far. How can all 8 methods be wrong?
The CDC says nobody has died from the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines. Surely, you can’t believe that, can you? Peter Schirmacher showed without a doubt that at least 30% to 40% of the deaths within 2 weeks after vaccination were caused by the vaccine. Someone is lying. Do you have an expert more qualified than Schirmacher who claims he’s wrong?
Why were there 4X as many cardiac arrests in the treatment group than the placebo group in the clinical trial. The VAERS data shows very clearly a 450X increase in cardiac events post vaccine. Isn’t it possible that those deaths could have been caused by the vaccine? How was that possibility ruled out?
Dr Toby Rogers found we’ll kill 117 kids for each kid we save from COVID. Is this acceptable? Did he get it wrong? How? What is the correct risk-benefit analysis that we should be using that shows this number?
How come sports players are dying on the field at a rate 60 times higher than normal?
The Pfizer data presented at the CDC meeting showed the VAERS data for myocarditis is at least 5X under-reported. How come the CDC hasn’t said anything?
Every physician we talk to says there are higher rates of everything post-vaccine than pre-vaccine. How is that possible?
Can we see evidence that the rates of myocarditis is lower with COVID than the vaccine, e.g., from actual clinical practices? We’d love to see this data.
VAERS analysis
VAERS analysis shows clearly that these vaccines kill more people than they save. Did we get it wrong?
VAERS shows causality due to time proximity and dose dependency. Why won’t anyone from the CDC acknowledge this? We can satisfy all 5 Bradford-Hill critera. So we can prove the vaccines caused these injuries including death.
If the CDC is telling the truth that there are no deaths from the vaccine, how do you explain the causality numbers in VAERS?
We calculate a URF of 41 using the CDC methodology and the VAERS numbers. What is the correct number and how did we goof?
How come there are more VAERS events reported this year than all 30 years combined? It isn’t overreporting since individual providers report exactly the same statistic, like 2000 cases this year and 0 in the last 11 years.
Why are there over 4,000 adverse events in VAERS elevated by 10X or more over baseline?
What was the cause of the deaths of the 14 kids the CDC analyzed? These were not “normal” deaths. So what “caused” them? Bleeding in the brain??? Why is this showing up this year yet no record of it in 30 years of VAERS history for that age range. Isn’t that a big suspicious?
VAERS shows this is the deadliest vaccine in human history, even with a URF of 1. So why are we allowing it?
Can we bust the CDC claim about causality? It’s time to put that one to bed, isn’t it?
How come John Su isn’t defending himself against our allegations that he didn’t calculate the VAERS URF and nobody from the CDC will come to his defense either?
Effectiveness
How about that Harvard study? It shows the line is sloping the wrong way. How do you explain that? It seems pretty incriminating?
How come the US has 150X times higher cases per capita than Uttar Pradesh which has just an 11% vaccination rate.
If the vaccines are so effective than how can a New York hospital have a 90% admission of vaccinated patients in an area with a 50% vaccination rate?
The Pfizer study shows 20 people who got the drug died vs. 14 who got the placebo. How can anyone conclude that the drug is the better option if you want to stay alive?
Fraud
Why is Gavin Newsom not taking the $5M for giving us a blank piece of paper. Most sane people would take that offer in a heartbeat. Is he hiding something or is there a legit reason for the bizarre behavior?
How about the case of Maddie de Garay? Isn’t that clinical trial fraud? How come you aren’t holding them accountable? A permanent paralysis in the treatment group is something people should be aware of, isn’t it?
How about fraud in the Pfizer study. It’s a double blind study, yet there were 5X the exemptions in the treatment group than the placebo group. That was bigger than the effect size. How come nobody said anything?
Mandates
Do you agree with the CDC that recovered people cannot spread the virus. Therefore, those who are recovered should certainly be exempt
Do you agree that people who recover from COVID and get it again won’t be hospitalized or die? Got a counterexample?
Can we see the risk-benefit analysis showing mandates are a good idea? And how do you tradeoff risking my life for someone else’s life?
If the vaccine works, why do we need mandates? If the vaccine don’t work, why do we need mandates?
Do you agree with this? “COVID vaccine mandates are necessary because the protected need to be protected from the unprotected by forcing the unprotected to use the protection that didn’t protect the protected.”
Mitigation
Let’s chat about masking. Fauci said they were useless, then 1 month later, they are required. Did the laws of physics change in March 2020?
Early treatments
Why aren’t we using early treatment protocols like Fareed and Tyson with a 99.76% reduction in hospitalization and 100% reduction in death?
Hypocrisy
Newsom is mandating our kids get the vaccine, but his kids are unvaccinated. If it is safe for our kids, how come it isn’t safe for his kids?

Breakeven Price For New Oil Projects Drops In 2021
By Rystad Energy – Nov 17, 2021, 12:00 PM CST
Rystad: Costs within the upstream sector have come down considerably in 2021
New oil becomes more competitive and significantly cheaper to produce
Deepwater and oil sands producers have significantly lowered their breakevens
Rystad Energy’s annual cost of supply analysis has revealed that costs within the upstream sector have come down considerably in 2021, making new oil more competitive and significantly cheaper to produce. The average breakeven price for new oil projects has dropped to around $47 per barrel – down around 8% over the past year and 40% since 2014, with offshore deepwater remaining one of the least expensive sources of new supply.
Back in 2014, Rystad Energy estimated the average breakeven price for tight oil to be $82 per barrel and the potential supply in 2025 to be 12 million bpd. Since then, the breakeven price has come down while the potential supply has increased. In 2018, we estimated an average breakeven price for tight oil of $47 per barrel and potential supply of 22 million bpd. The breakeven price for tight oil has continued to fall, reaching a current average of $37 per barrel. However, tight oil production potential in 2025 has dropped from our 2018 estimate to around 16 million bpd currently. This drop is due to the sharp reduction in activity during 2020. Lower activity last year, and a modest recovery this year removed potential tight oil supply from the market.

This looks like a fantasy peace, or propaganda. Heavy oil average $40/barrel?
I am pretty sure that heavy oil requires hot water to be extracted, it is more solid than liquid. I cannot imagine that heated water by the barrel load comes cheap.
I believe those mega barrels of oil Venezuela has are extra heavy oil. They are fantasy reserves and as such likely to stay in the ground. If this ‘oil’ could be produced at $40/b, Venezuela would be producing 4 Mb/d instead of about 0.4 Mb/d.
I did mention a couple of months ago that Norway had decided to drop all restrictions (vax vs unvax) in September. We did, but now we’re lining up people for the 3rd shot and implementing covid passport. As is Sweden. It’s like they finally got the memo from TPTB. Some cities are even trying to implement covid passport before the national/international system get going.
When the restrictions were removed, did you really think “ah, it’s over!”? I didn’t.
Indeed. I think mixing it up is intentional: gives people false hope.
helps to break them
This far, the swedish passport is is only for visiting events with number of visitors >100 persons. I can still visit the grocery store etc. But the propaganda directed against the filthy unvacced is increasing also in Sweden. Society is clearly looking for a scape goat for what looks like a fiasco (=people in general seem to have expected the vaccines to end the corona).
If Vanden Bossche is right these events will serve as super spreader events for vaccine resistant variants.
Saddest part is that covid is basically gone from Sweden due to herd immunity. Low and stable ICU, deaths and even infected.
Not at all surprising about Norway: the Plan is clearly universal, with countries taking slightly different routes to fool the unobservant.
eg Masks compulsory outdoors in Spain, Italy, Oz, but not in the UK, although they encouraged it, etc.
USA ‘democracy’ is reduced to ‘gaming’ every possible ‘demographic’ for votes? Plato would have had a ‘field day’ with this stuff.

https://www.spiked-online.com/2021/11/17/we-need-more-families/
> We need more families
…. The immediate political result of all this may not be bad for the Democrats, at least for the next decade or two. The rise in singles, including single parents, bolsters the party base. Unmarried women, notes Democratic pollster Stan Greenberg, have emerged as one of the party’s core constituencies. The Biden agenda is often couched in the language of helping ‘working families’, but its emphasis on social welfare, densification of suburbs and gender politics will appeal more to singles, particularly those with modest incomes, and single mums struggling from a lack of familial support.
In contrast, conservatives tend to be more likely to get married and have more children. Biden’s agenda could push some families to the right, despite promises of greater state support. Certainly, his focus on such things as mass transit have little to do with suburban communities. His administration also seems ready to back Obama-era initiatives that seek to densify suburban neighborhoods, a stance long embraced by the planning establishment. Progressives around the country, backed by some libertarian useful idiots, push to eliminate single-family zoning – whereby local governments set minimum sizes for homes to prevent them from being split up into apartments. This would be unlikely to win over many suburban, exurban or smalltown voters.
But the Republicans are more than capable of screwing up this great opportunity. There is a tendency on the right to define parental and family values in a narrow way that does not comport with our changing ethnic and lifestyle environment. The Texas abortion law, for example, seems calculated to bring suburban voters, notably women, back to the Democratic fold. Similarly, Republicans need to embrace basic support for families – such as home-based compensation for childcare or protection for family-friendly zoning. Steps to improve choice in schools would also help parents, particularly in cities, remain where they want to live….
Does anyone have any information on re infection of people that have had Covid? It seems like that they are trying to bastardized this so that they make everyone get the vaccine. All I can find is antidotal evidence but nothing concrete.
My mate with Pfizer heart has told me his brother has had covid 3x… each time was worse than the last… most recently he got it after being injected.
I believe he was tested each time – he is in London
No I mean people who have had Cov……but have not been faxed…..
“Not one of the 1359 previously infected subjects who remained unvaccinated had a SARS-CoV-2 infection over the duration of the study.”

Worth the 40 minutes, stuff seems effective in even preventing other illnesses, e.g. diabetes, heart issues, hypertension.
Excellent citing of sources.

Thanks! He mentioned a longer video. My vitamin D was 57 ng/ml in September, which is up in the good range. He mentioned over 50 in the short video.
@Gail “Prices must be high enough for producers and low enough for consumers.”
This implies there is a free lunch in this economic deal here, where both sides of the transaction can realize the transaction(s) and still walk away with a net gain to their utility.
That net gain, the free lunch, is equivalent to the surplus energy embedded in the goods/services in the transaction.
Likewise, if producer prices needed for breakeven were to go above consumer affordability prices for various goods and services, we know that the system doesn’t have surplus energy available anymore and must instead resort to energy cannibalism (shrinking).
When one thinks about how many make-work B.S. jobs are out there in the world right now, how the government sector, at least in the West, accounts for 50% of all output (highest in history), this implies that we are still burning through surplus energy available at a rapid clip.
I guess that means that when it runs out it’ll be more sudden than gradual. The natural gas price spikes and energy crisis in Europe are a foretaste of what’s to come. It won’t be a downward slope, but more like a hitting a series of walls that seemingly rise up out of nowhere.
I am afraid that you are right. We are currently in a situation where no price works; prices that are low enough for the consumer are way too low for the producer; prices that are high enough for the producers way too high for consumers. The only place this can be worked around is in tiny amount of so-called renewables. With subsidies (which cannot be maintained) and improper accounting, they look helpful when they are not.
In theory, the government should work on the surplus energy of the system. Except now, there is no surplus energy. We get a bizarre situation where the government is trying to sustain the unsustainable. It looks to me as though government needs to shrink back.
So…. Should I stop adding to my 401k?🤪
I stopped contributing to my 401k recently to pad my last few pay checks in anticipation of a mandate. If the mandate evaporates early next year I’ll contribute enough for the match. I use to max it out for many years for the tax benefit. If the market has a big correction I might max it again to buy in at a better price but does really matter what we do with our deck chairs if this thing is close to going down?
Oh gawd… we have a provident fund in hk .. when I departed I cashed that in and blew the lot in the VIP room… it’s long gone

The period 1920-1940 in Europe is rich in lessons for us now, I’d say.
The most important being that if this is how They start, there is no limit to what They would do to us in the future.
It’s hard to grasp after so many years of safety and comfort.
Their crimes are already immense, why would they ever change heart?
Can’t take it with you is right and I have no heirs to leave it to so my plan was to retire early and try to time it so I die with very little. Afraid there wont be enough production to support those who aren’t working in a few years so unsure what to do with my shekels. Feel trapped on this sui cide machine of BAU like everyone else.
Remember that debt is a great substitute for surplus. Let them drill and produce any then extinguish the debt via bankruptcy. Perpetual “energy”
Yes that is what they have been doing and probably will continue to do in the future.
There is a limit to using debts. It is has become clearer ever since it started in 1970s that is cannot be sustained. Inflation has reared its ugly, as expected by many.
One can be wrong for many years but just one “right” is enough to destroy all.

“Most Vaccinated” Nation On Earth Cancels Christmas Over Surge In COVID Cases:
“Like much of Europe recently, Gibraltar, the British Overseas Territory located at the southern tip of the Iberian Peninsula, has seen a sudden uptick in COVID cases.
“The European COVID case-rate (7d avg) is now higher than the peak of the March wave..
“And Gibraltar COVID cases are soaring ‘exponentially’ according to the government…
“In response to this sudden surge in COVID cases, the government of Gibraltar recently announced that ‘official Christmas parties, official receptions and similar gatherings’ have been canceled, and advised the public to avoid social events and parties for the next four weeks. Outdoor spaces are recommended over indoor ones, touching and hugging is discouraged, and mask wearing is advised.
“The drastic increase in the numbers of people testing positive for Covid-19 in recent days is a stark reminder that the virus is still very prevalent in our community and that it is the responsibility of us all to take every reasonable precaution to protect ourselves and our loved ones,’ Health Minister Samantha Sacramento said.
“In fact, over 118% of Gibraltar’s population are fully vaccinated against COVID (above 100% due to jabs given to Spaniards who cross the border to work or visit the territory every day).
“Gibraltar is not alone in this ‘mysterious’ vaccine failure.”

Ireland Reimposes COVID-19 Restrictions Including A Midnight Curfew Despite 93% Of The Adult Population Being Fully Vaccinated
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10211723/Ireland-latest-European-country-impose-Covid-restrictions.html
Ireland has become the latest European country to reimpose Covid restrictions amid a surge in cases as winter sets in.
Starting tomorrow, all hospitality businesses including nightclubs and pubs will be forced to close at midnight, the use of Covid passports will be expanded, and people will be advised to work from home where possible.
Household contacts of people who test positive on a PCR will also be forced to self-isolate for five days even if double-jabbed, and will only be allowed out if they test negative on three separate antigen tests.

Perhaps starting to figure out that the vaccinated are spreading the illness!
A question comes to mind:
Do we know that the “vaccinated” are indeed spreading anything?
Has it been ruled out yet that the “vaccinated” are rather victims of what one could generally label poisoning and are subsequently suffering ill effects that are being falsely attributed to viral transmission?
I wonder about this too. But then again, I’m not a structural engineer—sorry—a virologist. There is sickness, infection (or poisoning) and it sometimes leads to death. There are “clusters” of people who get ill. But what is the vector? That’s a vexed question.
I think it’s sensible to keep asking that for sure. “Virus Mania” is chock-full of reasons why. Plus there are 1,292 papers under a PubMed search of “Air Pollution and Covid-19”. Jim West’s interesting work highlights Hydrogen Cyanide at higher levels than ever before. There’s Solar Radiation Management ongoing using SF-6 and who knows what nano-metals in the jet-fuel. I think Jim Lee over at ClimateViewer cracked that nut a while back. Other possibilities come to mind but those may have been sufficient to do the kick-off death-spike, coinciding with and during which flu-season became hysteria-season – justifying the inoculations which completely muddy the water with random lethality and maiming – and now we’re in this seeming fixation on number-crunching that few can tear their eyes and brains away from – like some Russian Chess Match that has the audience as concentrating as intensely as the Master Players.
Between the two of these links below, the Retinoids and Liver Damaging Jabs could account for the whole shooting match, plus a regular Flu Season and a small death-spike in a few major cities burning a lot of fracked-fuel. It’s all going like we didn’t learn squat from “911-Truth” and 20-years of rabbit-holes and red-herrings and strawmen.

“the “vaccinated” are rather victims of what one could generally label poisoning and are subsequently suffering ill effects that are being falsely attributed to viral transmission”
Now we’re talking! It’s deliberate poisoning, not “viral contagion”. “Virus Mania” is THE book.
All this COVID stuff is a sideshow to distract us from the real problem: ENERGY.
For my next round of cynicism:
Methane has late onset climate warming properties- reportedly 80 times that of CO2. Thus another example of creeping incrementalism. COP-26 Globalists first try to slip in a carbon tax for CO2 production. Next, they’ll try to tax CH4 since it is a byproduct of oil production, which will justify increasing taxes on oil for having spawned its evil offspring methane. I would have thought subsidies.
https://www.zerohedge.com/political/build-back-better-methane-fee-means-higher-costs-heating-oil-natural-gas
And then there is the draw down of the strageic petroleum reserve. So how far will they draw it down? I dunno. I guess it depends how much China is willing to draw down its reserves- maybe? So how far? Maybe we should look to the military experts to see how much would be required for China ,US ,or Russia to fight a major conventional war- whether in Ukraine or Taiwan perhaps. Kind of like, how much ammo does the other side have? Need a reserve for that. If no reserves, no war. If reserves were suddnly “replenished,” (highly unlikely ) what does that mean?
Or maybe all parties quietly realize that behind all their threats and bluster they don’t have enough to do squat.
https://www.zerohedge.com/commodities/global-coordinated-spr-release-highly-unlikely-instead-here-what-white-house-will-do
The SPR is specific types of crude. I think I remember hearing that it was rather heavy, sour crude. Not all refineries can use this type of crude oil. The type of crude kept the cost down when it was purchased.
As Fast might say, “beyond stopped” and the White House is encouraged aka happy. According to the article, supposedly 2.5 million in the 5-11 age group have been partially vaccinated.
“More than 2 million children may be fully vaccinated by Christmas”
https://news.yahoo.com/children-vaccination-christmas-124521435.html
Auto correct got me. Now Fast will wonder what “beyond stopped” means.
‘Beyond’ is the superlative of ‘totally’?
Like, ‘it was totally gross – it was _beyond_ gross!’
‘Like.’
WASHINGTON — Less than two weeks into the effort to vaccinate children between the ages of 5 and 11, the White House is seeing encouraging uptake statistics for this youngest cohort, according to internal Biden administration figures shared with Yahoo News, with more than 2.5 million already partially vaccinated.
“At least 2.6 million children are on their way to being protected from COVID-19, thanks to the president’s efforts to prepare an entirely new infrastructure to reach parents and their children where they are with vaccines,” a White House official told Yahoo News. “With our kids’ program just hitting full strength 10 days ago, we are already seeing that our effective rollout is helping parents and families across the country breathe giant sighs of relief.”
Let’s Go Brandon!!!
Not to worry. AI Mike will ask you what does “Beyond Stopped” mean. That is the beauty of humans. We can read and understand things that are not “straight forward”
I have asked AI Mike to tell us a joke. If he is a real human, he would tell a very sarcarstic joke. I have to check if he has done that….
I have completely given up on talking to people that AI can never take over the world. It is identical to klimate thing, COVID vaccine, two-weeks to flatten the curve, renewables, EV and a long list of “stopped” ideas.
I’ve just come up with a joke and I am now going to beta test it on you.
Two AI bots walk into a restaurant.

okay, not great, but not tera-ble either.
another one on the list of human fallacies similar to the scale of renewables can save the world… robots will take over humans and somehow robots can make robots thus, no need to worry. Same level as AI will control the world.

Campbell is talking vitamin D and COVID. With a high enough level of vitamin D, the risk of COVID would seem to be close to zero.
I’m sure if it was important the NIH, CDC, and WHO would’ve recommended it. It’s probably just a conspiracy theory like peak-oil.

POOF
It’s all about the sun:
Malaga Bay, “Vitamin D3” – February 19, 2021
“When the medical establishment dropped sunlight down the memory hole in 2020 they didn’t think it would return to bite them on the bum in the form of Vitamin D3.
Beneficial Sunlight
“By the beginning of the 20th century [some] patients with tuberculosis were transferred to remote isolation hospitals because the only “cure” was fresh air and sunlight.
“During the 1918 Spanish Flu epidemic [some] patients were cared for in field hospitals where fresh air and sunlight helped prevent patient deaths and medical staff infections.
“Brockton Field Hospital opened on the 5th of October and the number of patients treated peaked on the 10th October 1918.
“The Spanish Influenza epidemic then began to decline rapidly from it’s peak on the 10th to the point where they stopped collecting statistics on the 15th and abandoned the community kitchen on the 16th October 1918.
“The benefits of fresh air and sunlight were well understood by the end of 1918.
“Influenza Don’ts – A Report on an Epidemic of Influenza in the City of Chicago in the Fall of 1918:
Don’t live in the dark.
Don’t shut the sunshine out of your home.
Don’t exclude the fresh air.
Don’t fail to keep clean.
Don’t use common towels.
Don’t fail to practice what you preach.
The Return of Sunlight
“Although the medical establishment dropped the benefits of fresh air and sunlight down the memory hole they failed to eradicate the science of Vitamin D3.
“Cholecalciferol, also known as vitamin D3 and colecalciferol, is a type of vitamin D which is made by the skin when exposed to sunlight; it is also found in some foods and can be taken as a dietary supplement.
“Cholecalciferol is made in the skin following UVB light exposure.
“Short-wave ultraviolet light damages DNA and sterilizes surfaces with which it comes into contact.
“However, ultraviolet light (specifically, UVB) is also responsible for the formation of vitamin D in most land vertebrates, including humans.
“The UV spectrum, thus, has effects both beneficial and harmful to life.
“More specifically:
“Low levels of Vitamin D3 are associated with an increased risk of influenza. See chart here: https://malagabay.files.wordpress.com/2021/02/flu-and-solar-radiation.gif
******** NOW THE REALLY IMPORTANT PART ******** :
“Flu epidemics are inversely proportional to solar radiation with a one-month lag, and peak when vitamin D levels are lowest in the population.”
“And:
“Low levels of Vitamin D3 are associated with increased COVID-19 deaths.”
https://malagabay.wordpress.com/2021/02/19/vitamin-d3/
Vitamin D is really the largest deficiency in the human body. It comes from people spending a lot of time dressed and indoors, and having an agricultural (carbohydrate rich) diet which interferes with vitamin D recycling in the liver.
It is extremely cheap to produce as you only need ruminant cutaneous fat (lanolin) and a UV lamp. To top it off, it is the most important of all vitamins for the immune system, specifically preventing citokine storms. Really, all the “pandemics” in human history are a consequence of malnutrition. You should not fear small pox or Marburg, if you are healthy and with low inflammation levels. Your immune system will take care of those and more.
Good to know.

Watch: Bill Gates warns of bioterrorist smallpox pandemic
Bill Gates has warned that governments must prepare for future pandemics and smallpox terror attacks by investing billions in research and development.
Mr Gates made the warning during a Policy Exchange interview with the chair of the Health Select Committee Jeremy Hunt.
The Microsoft founder also called for the formation of a new billion-dollar World Health Organisation Pandemic Task Force.
While the research may be expensive, he said that it could also lead to other innovations, such as eradicating flu and the common cold.

Unapproved vials of smallpox found at Pennsylvania lab
The FBI is investigating how several vials labeled “smallpox” came to be in a Pennsylvania vaccine research facility,
The FBI and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are looking into the 15 “questionable vials” that were found in a Merck facility freezer outside Philadepphia.
An alert was sent to Department of Homeland Security leadership on Tuesday night, saying five of the vials were labeled “smallpox” and 10 as “vaccinia,” reports Yahoo News.
The vials were secured immediately and the facility was put on a lockdown, which has since been lifted.
Someone heard Bill Gates’ remarks and started looking for vials that might match the description?
I wonder if anyone sees some kind of anology with his previous business environment of v/rus and antiv/rus research
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/security/defender-endpoint/microsoft-defender-antivirus-windows?view=o365-worldwide
Smallpox is less transmissible than the Flu. This time around the masks and social distancing would help reduces the spread because it’s mostly spread by droplets. It also makes people sick enough that they wont be going about their business any longer once symptoms first appear. It would cause a huge amount of panic and cause a lot of fuel rationing, even better than c19 did, by don’t see it leading to massive die off either. The supply chain breakdown and panic in people would probably be deadlier than the disease.
Anyone have thoughts on oil being released from the SPR? Seeing a few articles today on ZH about the SPR, Oil prices, plus Nat Gas prices are up again in EU due to unplanned maintence on pipeline in Belarus. “It turns out that the US SPR has seen drawdowns for 10 straight weeks, during which more than 15 million barrels of crude have been withdrawn. At 606 million barrels, SPR is at its lowest since 2003, and it seems more declines are on the horizon. As Bloomberg’s Julian Lee points out, the withdrawal of 3.25 million barrels from the SPR is the biggest in more than a decade.”
Is this unusual? I thought the SPR was only used in disasters and war to smooth out the market.
https://ca.investing.com/news/commodities-news/oil-tumbles-on-us-spr-draw-bidens-new-vow-to-crackdown-on-high-prices-2577369
The SPR drawdown was reported on the heels of a letter Biden sent out to the U.S. Federal Trade Commission, where he urged immediate action against oil and gas firms for what he branded as “anti-consumer behavior.”
“I’m writing to call your attention to mounting evidence of anti-consumer behavior by oil and gas companies,” Biden wrote in his letter to Federal Trade Commissioner Lina Khan. “The bottom line is this: gasoline prices at the pump remain high, even though oil and gas companies’ costs are declining.”
He added that the FTC had the authority to investigate whether “illegal conduct” was costing American families more than what they should be paying at the pump. “I believe you should do so immediately.”
Oil and gas companies costs are declining? How would their costs decline? All costs are going up or is the dollar going down? Maybe their costs are going down because they no longer invest in new wells and are riding out what’s left of existing wells. Unsure if I should laugh or cry because this makes no sense to me.
Give us a break: “oil and gas companies’ costs are declining.” That is not what is happening.
I see an article from 2018 called, US Mandates Biggest Non-Emergency Strategic Oil Sell Off
So, I expect that this is behind quite a bit (or all) of the drawdown.
That makes more sense of this non emergency use of it and they’re getting a somewhat good price for it too.
Any release from the SPR might put a temporary crush on crude oil prices, maybe $3-4/bbl, and may not really affect gasoline prices much, if at all, since more crude oil on the market does not necessarily mean refiners will increase their processing rates. The SPR was intended to cover US imports of oil for ~90 days, in case the country was cut off by oil exporters as already happened during the Arab oil embargo in 1973. The rise of shale production means that we now import a lot less than we used to. We currently have over 200 days of import coverage in SPR storage. So, there’s plenty of oil there and maybe the govt should sell some out at these relatively high prices, but it’s not going to do jack to bring down the global price of oil.
When the SPR is zero you will know collapse is nigh.
A hundred and twenty years ago, divers discovered a shipwreck off the island of Antikythera in Greece. What they found changed our understanding of human history.
The mysterious Antikythera Mechanism has captured the imagination of archaeologists, mathematicians, and scientists ever since. Now, using the latest 3D x-ray and modelling technology, experts are unravelling the secrets of what this machine may have been capable of.

Well now…seems folks in ancient times surprised 😯🙀 us all by their clever ability in creating advanced computer technology….BAU will not be held back

And the Romans ended the ability to make that kind of devices once for all.
Sorry, civilization does not always advance. Sometimes it regresses
Sorry, the Romans preserved all that for us all in libraries and later monasteries ….actually, in the City of Roman during the reign of Vespasian steam engines were in operation!!!
Mainly for amusement purposes only.
When asked why not them do some work… Vespasian was heard saying..
“If so. What then will have the people do?”
Anyway, each generation had their paradigm and frame of mind..
Currently we are in a period of transition
People today are smart and better than those of the past. We will not be reverting back to living like savages with mechanical computers or owned slaves. Green technology will save us from that fate and we’ll laugh about how we use to use oil, coal, and natural gas when all this time we could’ve electrified. /s
There are billions of people out there asking why you put /s at the end of that… they think you are mocking them.

The Ottawa Senators Have a 100% Vaccination Rate—and 40% of the Team Has Tested Positive for Covid
The sidelining of an NHL team this week shows that, while vaccination rates are high, indoor, maskless activities can still lead to an outbreak
what it really shows is MORE MOREONS.
I was hoping to get called up to fill one of those spots but I’m not vaxxed 🙁
https://thecovidworld.com/michelle-goszko-vaccinated-cricket-star-suffers-stroke-says-she-would-still-get-the-vaccine-again-to-protect-the-vulnerable/
SYDNEY – Former Australian cricketer Michelle Goszko was rushed to hospital on Saturday after suffering a stroke. The 44-year-old was admitted to intensive care and has since awoken and is able to speak. Goszko told DailyMail that she doesn’t believe her stroke is related to the COVID vaccine but said she would still have the jabs even if it was.
“As far as I am aware this has absolutely nothing to do with the Covid-19 vaccination.
Even if it did I would have still had the Covid vaccine to help protect vulnerable people.”
Another vegetable.
“As far as I am aware this has absolutely nothing to do with the Covid-19 vaccination. Even if it did I would have still had the Covid vaccine to help protect vulnerable people.”
– You still would’ve had the injection even if you knew it would give you a stroke? Really?
– You’d be protecting vulnerable people even though the “vaccine” doesn’t prevent transmission? Really?
Why does covid infect ‘fully vaccinated’ teams in the US and only a couple of sports people died, mostly retired ones, while else where in the world sports players are dropping dead on the field? I suspect many have fake cards in the US while it’s harder to fake in other nations.
I somehow picture fast Eddie looking like the Grinch… I think it’s a sad situation. I don’t like how I have become the enemy because I won’t get va$$ bit I don’t begrudge the people that do! It’s their body they can do with it what they want.
To get from 333 million in US to 99 million in US by 2025 we are going to need 60 million dying per year. One in a thousand kill shot will not do it.
I don’t think the decrease will be so fast, but you are not considering negative effects on medium (2-5 years) and long time (10 years) and eventual reduction of fertility.
I doubt the mRNA vaxxes are 1 in a 1000 kill shot. If they are PEGed (I think they all are), they will slowly seep into the brain and cause mad cow disease. Just a question of time before the vaxxed become zombies of a sort. And there seems to be evidence that the incidence of blocking of the capillaries is very high, but for the moment only kills a few. This particular kill route seems to have a lot of potential.
The fact that these potions kill anybody at all is concerning. The fact that they rapidly kill some young and apparently healthy people is much more so.
If we can establish in detail why (the mechanism through which) these deaths occur, then we will have a much better idea of whether we should expect more deaths due to long-term damage or repeated administrations.
Blood clotting has been shown to be associated with the shots over the short term. But over the longer term, well, we are still in the middle of an ongoing experiment. As for whether they will cause a human equivalent of mad cow disease or other forms of cognitive disfunction, or cancer, or organ failure, we’ll just have to see.
And then there’s the issue of what happens when a vaxxee encounters a common-or-garden cold-causing coronavirus this winter or next. Are they going to mount an appropriate immune response to it, or is all hell going to break loose?
Mad MOREON disease?

US auctions off oil and gas drilling leases in Gulf of Mexico after climate talks
Biden administration launching auction of more than 80m acres for fossil fuel extraction that experts call ‘incredibly reckless’

Just four days after landmark climate talks in Scotland in which Joe Biden vowed the US will “lead by example” in tackling dangerous global heating, the president’s own administration is providing a jarring contradiction – the largest ever sale of oil and gas drilling leases in the Gulf of Mexico.
The US federal government is on Wednesday launching an auction of more than 80m acres of the gulf for fossil fuel extraction, a record sell-off that will lock in years, and potentially decades, of planet-heating emissions.
The enormous size of the lease sale – covering an area that is twice as large as Florida – is a blunt repudiation of Biden’s previous promise to shut down new drilling on public lands and waters. It has stunned environmentalists who argue the auction punctures the US’s shaky credibility on the climate crisis and will make it harder to avert catastrophic impacts from soaring global heating
Joe must of been napping after telephoning the oil states to increase their output and pleading with Xi to tapp his reserves…
BAU baby gots 😴 Sleepy Joe in his pocket like all the rest of us mortals…
Except Greta, of course, how DARE I!
A don’t think anyone thinks that this large area is likely to be very productive. If there were a lot of oil there, we would see oil slicks on the surface, announcing their presence. The area is big, so that the chance of hitting something is at least somewhat higher than zero.
Let’s wait and see how many bidders actually show up and see what they are willing to bid.
With winter closing in and coronavirus case rates creeping up once again, White House chief medical adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci is warning that the vaccines’ waning immunity combined with the highly transmissible delta variant will make for a “double whammy” that will impact “even the vaccinated people.”
“The somewhat unnerving aspect of it is that if you keep the level of dynamics of the virus in the community at a high level — obviously the people who are most most vulnerable are the unvaccinated — but when you have a virus as transmissible as delta, in the context of waning immunity, that dynamic is going to negatively impact even the vaccinated people. So it’s a double whammy,” Fauci said in a pretaped interview aired at the 2021 STAT Summit Tuesday afternoon.

Dr. Daniel Lopez-Acuña, former director of Health Action in Crisis at WHO, is the country’s very high vaccination rate, nearing 90 percent of those 12 and older, and its continued protection measures, like indoor mask mandates, which, unlike most places, Spain never dropped.
Those precautions are paying off. “Spain is doing particularly well compared to other European countries,” Lopez-Acuña told Yahoo News, crediting health agencies, stringent class-size reductions and mask wearing in schools, and a science-accepting public, as well as long-enduring COVID restrictions.
After being shut down for over a year, nightclubs didn’t reopen until October. The national government required pedestrians to wear masks even outside until this past June. Most Spaniards, Lopez-Acuña said, “have developed a consciousness” about COVID prevention measures, accepting social distancing and face covering indoors.
“Even in the streets, large parts of the population still wear the masks,” he said.
“We’re trying to learn from the success stories like Spain,” said Pebody. He noted that Spain and neighboring Portugal, where 87 percent of the population has had two shots, are “in a good position at the moment.”
.,.. Europe suffers a COVID-anxiety attack, however, la buena vida continues in Spain. Crowds revel at terrace bars, drinking sangria and eating tapas into the night, the clubs have reopened, crowds frolic at beach parties and wine festivals, and unlike in many Western European countries, a vaccine passport is still not required. According to Statista, the COVID rate in Spain over the past seven days is 46 per 100,000 population, compared to Austria at 851, the Netherlands at 539 and Slovenia at 1,058.
pikes in cases and deaths across Europe are a preview of coming holiday attractions in the United States, Dr. Peter Hotez, immunologist and dean of the National School of Tropical Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine, told Yahoo News. What is currently happening in Europe, he said, “is almost certainly what we’ll see in the United States as we head into Thanksgiving and Christmas” — in the same way that the Beta and Delta variants of the coronavirus swept across Europe just weeks before slamming into the U.S.
Hotez said that to halt COVID-19 transmission, at least 85 percent of the entire population will need to be fully vaccinated — and “fully vaccinated now means three doses of [Moderna or Pfizer shots] or two doses of the J&J vaccine.” Until that happens, he recommends indoor masking in public situations, which remains controversial in much of the U.S.

Like I said…there is FE news and the MSM News..
You folks don’t realize what you are up against
Well, in our part of Spain, ‘cases’ are rising again.
And a cousin tells me that there is much more street violence, arguments that turn bad, drunken violence, etc.
All is not well.
Looking at the data, so far Spain seems to be doing better than quite a few of the countries in Western Europe. But its number of cases now is about double the number of cases a month ago, indicating the trend is upward. And, as you say, there are other indications that all is not well with the economy.
The narrative in Europe is the same for everybody.
Spain is only few weeks behind Italy and Italy is just few weeks behind Germany regarding Covid situation.
All European nations will go towards third dose.
Pro-vax people is scarmbling to find a way to punish harder and harder no-vax people, but they should rather focus on the fact that they are going to be injected with third dose and then they will be injected with fourth dose.
They should stop thinking about new ways to torture no-vax people and thinking about the torture they are subjected to.
https://www.tecnicadellascuola.it/green-pass-valido-da-12-a-9-mesi-terza-dose-e-stato-demergenza-le-novita-da-dicembre
For example this is a recent article about Germany, coming from main stream media ‘Corriere’.
I don’t think Spain or Italy will be distant from this new chapter of our current horror novel.
Contagion -> deaths -> no treatment -> inject a new dose -> hunt no-vax …
and again
until they decide differently

Xabier…the point is it don’t matter what the evidence is or that data!
The news going out to the public tells otherwise Folks!
Do you realize what this means…..???? Yes, George Orwell 1984
I come here and read all the posts by you all and check the mainstream and it’s the opposite brother! The TV news is the same.
The unvaccinated are the problem and we need to booster the vaccine..over and over again.
It’s about power, control and of course zillions of Dollars…
No body gonna make money off of natural herd immunity!
Does the Ideeit realize that now?
Betcha there are lobbyists in Washington DC from the Masks makers Association too.
Keep telling the handful of us the real deal….
Germany is sprucing up some closed up camps they used back in 40s for you.all!
Lockdown to keep us safe …too much
Millions of people across Europe and North America will become eligible for Dose 3 at the very height of coronavirus season, in December and January. Uptake will be highest among medical professionals and nursing home personnel.
There is the potential for real catastrophe here.

Three Dog Night 1974…
I’ve had my third dose—
I’m off for a hike, then for a swim.
The 70’s are not that bad–
I look at the fat wingpawns and sigh—
But it is reducing our overpopulation.
But a reasonable weight and good diet will help protect even the mentally challenged–
Go for it comrades!
‘dose’… hmmm… that’s what people pick up from diseased street walkers… very appropriate that you refer to your injection as a ‘dose’
BTW – why would anyone get a dose after seeing all the data that was posted yesterday demonstrating both massive spikes in infections and deaths in countries that are heavily ‘dosed’
What is the purpose of being ‘dosed’?
Is it some sort of MOREON badge of honour?
Kinda like the Tesla driver who pulls up to the organic free trade coffee shop (beans flown in on a private jet from sumatra)… feeling good about himself and his 500kg battery?
Don’t give a dose
To the one you love most
Give her some marmalade
Give her some toast!
I can see if someone hooked up and picked up the dose… but to actually inject the dose into your body… and 3x!!!
And looking forward to the 4th….
